We came for quick lunch. Everything was delicious and very fresh. Although it does not feel like authentic Cuban food, it was really close. The Cuban sandwich was amazing, I wish they would’ve used better bread but it was not bad. The tostones!! Omg! That was my favorite thing!! They were humongous! Never seen tostones this size! We sat outside and it was nice and breezy. People watching was entertaining as it’s a busy shopping mall. The server we got was very professional and never left us unattended. Overall a positive experience with food, service and location.

There was nothing wrong at this place. From the greeting at the door to the "Thank You for coming", every single detail was taken care of. Hostess/Son of the owner (amazing individual), that more than seating and organizing, he was also a sales person. A well prepared pitch to get me in the mood for the best food in town. The waiter was knowledgeable, attentive and professional. Food was definitely well crafted. Magnificent flavor, freshly prepared and great presentation. Live music was very nice. The way the singer approached each nationality was brilliant. She was even able to sing a Portuguese song that she had not sang for almost 5 years. I definitely recommend El Tropico.

Wow, what an amazing restaurant. The pork, black beans and rice were as good as I’ve had anywhere. Don’t miss on the homemade lemonade, it’s an easy one to pass on , but you shouldn’t. I hope you are lucky enough to get Edwin as your waiter, he’s another reason to eat here.

So glad that I found this little gem infront of my hotel for coffee and Cuban bread. Fresh Cuban bread with cream cheese and honey , along with cappuccino with cinnamon and milk was a perfect breakfast for 4 days during my holiday. The place was clean, staff waa friendly and there was never a wait.

The food is delicious. Very light perfect portions felt full but not stuffed. Service was excellent very attentive. Very friendly in the atmosphere.

My last visit to El Tropico was a fantastic experience! The Cuban cuisine was full of authentic flavor, and every dish was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent very attentive and friendly from start to finish. And let me tell you, the coffee was off the hook rich, bold, and just what I needed to top off the meal. El Tropico definitely left a great impression. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

My dining experience at Cuban Cousin Restaurant was truly exceptional thanks to the outstanding service of Omar and Osmani. From the moment we walked in, the staff created a welcoming atmosphere. Omar was incredibly knowledgeable, offering fantastic recommendations from the menu. He went above and beyond, ensuring every need was met.At the end of the dinner we also ordered desert and Omar brought with a beautiful touch ( on the picture below). I highly recommend this restaurant for a top-notch dining experience! Excellent Service!!!!

El Tropico is one of the classic Cuban restaurants in South Florida. The cortadittos are heavenly. Recently the adorable Leanett prepared ours with such LOVE that we had to share the photos and the spirit. We’ve loved the food, the atmosphere, the staff and the relaxed happy vibe for many years. Highly recommended! A media noche sandwich and a cafe at the counter - yummy : )

Despite the diverse options in the area, I chose to come back, three times, over the course of my five-day visit, and tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I enjoyed the quality of the meals. There is dedication in each meal, from the smallest food item to the most elaborate. It was wonderful to have home-cooked meals while feeling like I am out. I hope to visit again, Tropico!

Please check your receipts after eating here . we we charged for credit card convenience fee although we paid cash $4 and some change ; but they also didn’t bring us the 3 lattes that came with our egg orders . When i mentioned it they brought us back 4$. Then I asked about the lattes , he brought them but at that point we were worried to drink them 🤣 Also very long wait time for food to be served.

We are visiting Miami, I had Cuban food craving and went to this restaurant with my 3 kids and my husband. Amazingly, I have tastier Cuban food in California. I felt like food here was a little plain. When we were done and asked for the bill, our waitress went over it very fast. We couldn't really see what we were been charged for... We ended up double tipping our waitress, Paulina. Total tip was 25% of the total. I don't mind tipping for a good service, but what I didn't like is that Paulina was so fast going over our bill quick that we didn't see a tip has been already included in the check. I didn't notice their menu said 18% gratuity was included for parties of 5 or more. Their menu had a lot of options that I didn't read the last page. (Lesson learned)
