This restaurant is great ! We ordered food from them for our corporate Holiday party back in December 2025. This was the 3rd year in a row we order from them for our events. Artur - manager is great ! Very accomodatong and pleasure to deal with. Fresh , supper delicious food , great presentation ! Delivered to our office on time . All staff enjoyed the holiday meal and had a great time . Highly recommend 👌
We ordered PLOV for work today; there were 12 of us, and we ordered 7 portions. I've never tasted such delicious PLOV before. I'm from Samarkand myself, but even there I haven't eaten such delicious PLOV.And your pickled appetizers are a masterpiece! It was delivered hot. Thank you for your excellent service!
We eat this food often, and this place really stands out. We had the osh (plov) and loved it. The taste is excellent, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Everything feels fresh and authentic. One of the best spots in Brooklyn for Uzbek food. We’ll definitely be back.
I recently visited Sherdor and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — every dish tasted like it was made with real care. The portions were generous, and everything came out fresh and hot. The staff was friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that made the whole visit even better. The service was quick, and the team checked in several times to make sure everything was perfect. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable for both families and groups. Prices are fair for the quality and portion size, which I really appreciated. Overall, Sherdor is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone looking for delicious food and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem That Deserves the Spotlight – Sherdor From the moment you step into Sherdor, you can feel there’s something special in the air a quiet confidence, a warmth that’s rare in most restaurants today. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, with every detail from the aroma of freshly baked bread to the music playing softly in the background designed to make you feel at home. But the real magic begins when the food arrives. Every dish feels crafted with care and soul. You can tell this isn’t just cooking it’s passion on a plate. The flavors are bold yet balanced, traditional yet modern, and every bite leaves you wanting just one more. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, Sherdor has that unforgettable “wow” factor that keeps you coming back. The staff are the kind of people who genuinely care attentive without hovering, and always eager to make your experience special. It’s the kind of service that turns a meal into a memory. If you’re looking for a place that combines quality, authenticity, and heart Sherdor is it. It’s more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience that reminds you what dining out should feel like.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Taste of Uzbekistan at Sherdor Restaurant If you’re looking for authentic Uzbek cuisine in Brooklyn, Sherdor Restaurant on Avenue U is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported — the warm décor, rich colors, and soft traditional music create a welcoming ambience that perfectly complements the food. Every dish feels like it’s made with heart and tradition. The plov is fragrant and perfectly balanced, the samsa come out golden and flaky, and the shashlik is grilled to juicy perfection with that unmistakable smoky aroma. You can truly taste the authenticity — nothing feels watered down or “Americanized.” The service is attentive and kind, and you can tell they take pride in sharing their culture through food. Whether you’re familiar with Uzbek cuisine or trying it for the first time, Sherdor delivers a memorable dining experience that celebrates genuine Central Asian hospitality.
The food was excellent. We especially loved the Plov and the Fried Lagman noodles. The beef of the Plov was so flavorful, and the fat is cut off separately. The was like butter. It was soft and sliceable with your fork. Spread it on bread or mix with rice. The server was a very friendly woman. The restaurant had a nice family restaurant atmosphere. The bathroom was nice and clean.
I won’t lower my rating just because the food is amazing — it truly is. However, I do want to point out some issues, and I hope the management reads this and takes it into account. I’ve dined inside the restaurant multiple times, and the experience has always been excellent — friendly and welcoming staff, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. But the delivery service doesn’t quite live up to the in-house experience. First, the delivery time is often longer than expected. Second, the accuracy of the order needs improvement. I frequently order the Marakand salad, which allows you to choose the style of eggs. No matter what I select, it always arrives the same way. Last time I specifically ordered sunny side (as you can see in the screenshot), but got something else again. Also, although I requested utensils, none were provided. On the bright side, I was pleasantly surprised to see sour cream included with the manty, and the dough on the manty is absolutely perfect — soft and melts in your mouth. The flatbread was cold, unfortunately. But I appreciated the small bonus salad that came with the pilaf — a nice and tasty touch. Overall: excellent food, but there’s definitely room for improvement in the delivery service.
This restaurant serves superb, authentic Achiq-Chuchuk salad (Tashkent City specialty), umami Hash soup (Tajik offal food cuisine), excellent, juicy Liver Kebab (Uzbek/Tajik), savory Marokand Salad (à la French). If you want to try traditional food combinations: 1) order Green Tea or say “yak ta fameel choi” (after it’s brought out, let it steep for 15-20 minutes to activate tannins that will help with digestion) with 2 skewers of Liver Kebab or say “doot tah jeeghar, please”, and one round bread or say “yak ta no-on”. This should be plenty for a nice, comfortable meal (you won’t feel stuffed if you drink tea after having finished the liver). Combination #2, order Green Tea and let it steep on your table until after you are done with all food, at the same time order Achiq Chuchuk salad as your appetizer, and place an order for Bayram Osh (savory, staple rice pilaf dish), this is enough food for two people without feeling stuffed and regretting it later 😀. Ask away for more combinations if needed. The language enclosed is Tajik but you can also speak Russian, Uzbek or English as well. Please note that 18% tip is automatically included in the bill. Enjoy!
This is the best Plov I've tasted in America. A very pleasant cafe with Uzbek cuisine. Great atmosphere and nice staff. There are very good prices for such an excellent quality of food. A very good selection of dishes and desserts. I also liked the waiters' clothes. The waiters are dressed in national costumes painted with gold thread.
Prices are good. Napoleon kebap is good but little salty. Lule is ok, you have to buy bread separately.
The food is delicious. I ordered online through Uber. I ordered a chicken kebab on the 2 for 1 deal, they only delivered one. In the end, I paid $60 for potatoes and this amount of meat with taxes and tips. I don't understand, these potatoes really cost $24, and the meat is almost $40? I expected at least a bigger portion.
Sherdor restaurant was better in past but today it was not organized, total chaos. 1 waiter running around like a squirrel in a loop. Waited to take a table for almost 30 min in Ramadan days, they can’t clean one table after customer. We were fasting but didnt receive any offers to sit down and order something even though there we’re available tables. 0 customer services. I would give them negative points if google would allow. We will bypass this place at all costs. Better Sherdor burger cafe. At least they have decent customer service.)
This is what I ordered and what I got. After almost two hours. They are scamming people on Uber Eats with restaurants named chaydana. They don’t answer phone calls, and the real restaurant’s name is Sherdor. If you can’t reach them, you can contact this restaurant directly. It’s located at 1917 Avenue U. They are using this name on Uber to scam people. I’ve reported it everywhere. If you experience the same situation, make sure to get your money back and file a complaint so more people don’t get scammed.
The hanum had absolutely no taste. Bland, poorly seasoned, and not enjoyable at all. Definitely not worth the money. Small portion ,and cost $ 12.99 chopped lamb and potato , they freeze the food and warm up for customers , no fresh ,tasteless very disappointing
Horrible owner. I’ve been ordering from this place food was ok then after some time they start serving left overs from the day before ( they warm the food in a microwave and serve it as it was just made, and when I called them and told them the food was awful and I requested money back just for that dish with was only $15 , the waiter nicely said I’ll tell my boss to send your money back . It’s been 3 weeks now not only no one called or sent the money but he has been avoiding for a $15 dish that’s a shame I have giving you guys a chance to do right. And it’s only $15 and it’s not about money anymore. I have attached a few pictures TAKE A LOOK .
