PJ's On The Bay

Excellent food. Went in a little early for the oxtails but they weren't ready. Went back later and they still weren't ready. The owner told me to go home and he would drop them off for me. That's exactly what he did. Glad I waited. They were right on the money. Rasta pasta is outstanding, greens were money as well as everything else. Owners are sweethearts too. So glad I came in and gave you guys a try. Will definitely be back with Mookie. Lol. Came in tonight and picked up 2 orders of wings, sides included. How beautiful does this food look?

This review is a response to my one star review review that I initially posted below and for some reason I cannot take down!! This food is EXCELLENT!! My initial review was regarding them canceling my order on Grubhub and I was so hungry and disappointed because this is literally the best Caribbean/soul food in Brooklyn! I wanted it so bad. I decided to call them first and see if there was an issue with Grubhub so that my order doesn’t get canceled again. The owner explained to me that her husband I had some serious health issues that she had to attend to, and her restaurant was not open for a few days, and the GrubHub service wasn’t fully activated. I know she is saying the truth because when I tried to order via GrubHub a few days prior, A message just posted that they are not delivering via the GrubHub service at the moment. I guess they were getting so many orders that they had to cancel while she was taking care of her family. I get it. I can only imagine having a family emergency while trying to run & operate a restaurant business!! Therefore, I am doing my due diligence since I can’t remove the older review in which I did say the food was good. I was just confused about GrubHub being canceled twice. Again, this food is not good. It is actually excellent!! It’s comfort food with Caribbean touches. You can see that she put ginger & thyme and rosemary, and everything taste amazing. The portions are well sized. It arrives hot. I am grateful that she was able to open up her business again and get her Grubhub running and that she communicated to me what had happened - That’s how you run a business!! 10 out of 10 in ALL categories!! I starred it as one of my favorites. I will definitely not only be ordering again, but also referring to as many people that I know here!! Someone else left a rating on their Grubhub that Keith Lee needs to come down to New York City and try this restaurant and review it & I agree. They deserve all the business!! This time I had the jerk chicken with macaroni and cheese, shrimp, rice, and peas, trand sautéed spinach on the side and a carrot cake! I’m told to try their beef ribs, so those will be next!!

Owner is really sweet, she gave me a sample of oxtail to try and she gave me a free soda. Mac and cheese wasn’t that great but the yams and oxtail was really good. Overall really good food

We visited Pjs on the Bay for dinner on our way home from Coney Island since the traffic was really bad. We had their Oxtail with 2 sides: bean & rice and sautéed spinach and a single order of beef ribs. It’s overall delicious, especially the protein, which was cooked perfectly. The owners are super friendly and they treated us with fried chicken and empanadas to try. It’s impressively great, especially the crispy and juicy fried chicken.

DONT WALK BUT RUUUUNNNNN. I ordered the BBQ wings , Mac and cheese and yams . The yams were a bit sweet but everything else was FRESH, HOT and FLAVORFUL. Chef kiss 😙🤌🏽 because I was at work , I only remembered to take a picture of the Mac but I promise you run for them Wings !!!!

First I just gotta say Some of the best mac and cheese around in Brooklyn,the owner was very nice not my first time coming here! it smells so good but wait till it hits your mouth.would definitely recommend coming

I live across from this restaurant, I saw it since they opened it, I never tried it because I thought it was just seafood but they don't, have BBQ wings, french fries and a delicious macaroni and cheese. 😋 I recommend it, they cook delicious, they have a new client, my girls and me loved everything and I plan to try other dishes they have that look very delicious, I wanted to try the tail, but it is spicy,I don't really like spicy things, just a few things, if they made a few for people who don't like spicy things I would definitely be the first to buy, I hope you consider it, thank you 😉

Exceptional customer service!!!! The owners a very welcoming and friendly. I got the lemon pepper wings and fries, passion fruit juice and a slice of red velvet cake …. Everything was delicious..definitely will be back

I had the pleasure of having the Lobster and shrimp with pasta from Pj’s on the bay. It was absolutely Delicious, a very generous portion of food. I also had the Oxtails Rice and peas that was made with perfection, well seasoned and the meat was falling off the bone too, their Fried chicken is amazing over all great Customer service with Excellent food

The atmosphere was so welcoming. It felt like encountering family. One of the Chef’s/Owners was attentive and made sure the food was up to par and that I was satisfied. I’d go here for dinner or lunch every day if my wallet allowed it lol.

Reliable local pub! PJs on the Bay has tasty comfort food — the burger was juicy and well-seasoned, wings had great sauce, and the fish & chips were crispy. Service is friendly and quick, atmosphere is casual and welcoming (good spot to catch a game or unwind). Portions are generous, prices fair. Minor thing: can get loud on busy nights, but that's the pub charm. 4.5 stars — solid Sheepshead Bay hangout! What I got: burger, wings, fries. Highly recommend for casual eats and drinks!

Great people working there. Everything was somehow made to be sweet. From the ribs to the oxtail. Wasn’t a big fan of their powdered mash potatoes. The candied yams were very heavy on cinnamon which was nice. It was ok. But it was not hitting the spot for me.
