We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Vecchio Scarpone. Very charming alpine vibe, with rooms that were recently renovated, very stylish and very comfortable. The service was terrific, everyone very friendly and welcoming. Elena took great care of us. Both Elena and others took time to share some interesting facts about the region, and provided numerous suggestions for excursions in the area. We arrived late, just after the restaurant closed but we were able to get something to eat, including a lasagna dish featuring locally sourced wild boar. The breakfast buffet was perfect, great selection of freshly made items, and a buffet with juices, yogurt, bread, coffee and more. Can’t recommend this place enough! Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Polenta and venison was excellent and so was the pear and chocolate cake, tasted in the open air veranda with view on the mountains. I'd love to come back soon.

Bel posto, pulito e colazione a buffet ottima. Porzioni dei piatti del ristorante x cena da ristorante gourmet ( a me sembravano piccole), ma forse io le avrei preferite + abbondanti. Nel complesso ottimo ( ps. provate la pasticceria... buonissima)

The hotel has truly luxurious rooms and extremely good food. We had a great time. The only flaw I would improve is the staff service; they don't seem very well trained. The lady, who I believe is the owner, was very friendly and kind, but above all, competent. I'll definitely be back!

We stayed one night at Vecchio Scarpone and I must say we had a great time. The lady who greeted us in the morning was very kind. The room was clean with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The food was excellent, the breakfast buffet had a wide selection. Everything was homemade. We'll definitely be back!

We stayed just one night and had dinner in the restaurant. The rooms were beautiful and very clean, accessible by an elevator and internal parking. The welcome service was excellent and very helpful. The breakfast buffet offered both sweet and savory options. The restaurant's cuisine wasn't strictly mountain-style, but it featured excellent ingredients and well-executed dishes. The table service was friendly and fast. The bar service was also welcoming and friendly, thanks in part to the beautiful fireplace in the dining room that creates a lovely atmosphere. Definitely an experience worth repeating.

Esperienza piuttosto deludente. Un tagliere misto davvero scarso a livello di quantità e non molto buono a livello di qualità. Porzioni scarne anche per quanto riguarda i primi. Dolci buoni e gelato fantastico. Personale così così.

Valutazione molto negativa per quello che riguarda il ristorante. Cibo accettabile, servizio pessimo, basso rapporto qualità/prezzo. Una cameriera (Kelly) molto gentile, ma l'altra, Elena, molto sgorbutica e poco attenta al cliente, non ci ha fatto sentire per niente a nostro agio. Sgarbata anche nel prendere le ordinazioni.... Alla fine non ci ha permesso di dividere il conto perchè il totale diviso il numero di paganti (3) veniva con il 7 periodico... imbarazzante.

We opted for lunch at this restaurant, but we didn't look at the menus at the entrances—very bad, I'd say! There's little choice, in fact...very little! Menu branch until 11:30. The specials of the day were announced verbally, thinking they were a first and second course menu, even though the menu says "First and Second Course Menu," which could include water or coffee, but they don't. But there's no cover charge, and the bread they make costs €2. Vegetarian dishes, sandwiches, and traditional dishes, but with few options. Maybe they're trying to optimize the menu just so there's not too many options to choose from. In the end, we chose: A first course menu A second course menu A plate of gnocchi A fruit tart Water €37 Would I go back? No!

Sono stato a cena una sera infrasettimanale. Scelgo dei ravioli che dovevano avere un ripieno di carbonara. Mi arrivano tre ravioli (3) con qualche strisciolina di quello che dicono essere guanciale, piuttosto abbrustolito, al prezzo di 16€(5.33) a raviolo. Non possiamo neppure dire che abbiamo pagato il servizio o la location, tovaglioli di carta e non siamo certo in centro di una metropoli. Vedede voi.....

Premetto che siamo stati clienti del ristorante. Carne buona. Ti aspetteresti una polenta tipica della zona, ricca e abbondante nella classica terrina ma viene servita asciutta in formato "gourmet". Sarebbero stati ottimi abbinamenti con polenta e formaggi o classica salsiccia e funghi. C'è solo il cinghiale con questo " tortino di polenta asciutta. Porzioni a mio avviso ridotte rispetto al conto ormai allineato ai prezzi cittadini. Personale gentilissimo. AGGIUNGO. LA QUALITÀ DELLA POLENTA ERA DISCUTIBULE ESATTAMENTE COME LA QUANTITÀ. TORTINO DI POLENTA DURO SOTTO E ASCIUTTO SOPRA. 21 EURO CON LA CARNE. Saluti.

Appena usciti delusissimi dal bar lo scarpone. Io ed il mio ragazzo volevo chiedere una variazione nel menu colazione ( caffè al posto del the ) e ci é stato detto in maniera scortese ed arrogante che non potevamo fare nessuna variazione. Alla domanda perché non si poteva fare questo piccolo cambio ci è stato risposto che o prendevamo il menù così come era o piatti singoli … quindi abbiamo chiesto l’ uovo affogato con avocado e caffè e ci é stato risposto che non si poteva fare e che lei era da sola in sala ( bar mezzo vuoto, e la cucina si sarebbe occupata della maggior parte delle cose, lei avrebbe dovuto fare solo il caffè ) quindi data la scortesia e l’ arroganza abbiamo scelto di andarcene. Peccato perché il menù colazione ci ispirava ma la maleducazione della cameriera ci ha fatti proprio perdere ls voglia. Siamo quindi andati nel bar di fronte, purtroppo non offrivano colazioni salate ma almeno il personale è stato gentilissimo. Potessi non metterei neanche la stella

Personale del ristorante incompetente, confusione costante da inizio a fine pasto degli ordini, sia al nostro che al tavolo degli altri, arroganza e incompetenza uniche. Edit - in risposta alla risposta: Errare è umano, infatti noi abbiamo preso un antipasto senza sapere se fosse sotto forma di tagliere o altro, tipicamente ci aspettiamo un tagliere, quindi abbiamo avuto una svista e abbiamo accettato il piatto arrivato come nostro. Quello che era effettivamente il nostro antipasto ci è stato portato 10/15 minuti dopo, quando già avevamo consumato il tagliere, senza chiederci se volessimo comunque accettare il "secondo" antipasto. Qui il primo caso di arroganza e incompetenza. Una volta arrivati in cassa nasce la nostra perplessità sull'atteggiamento della ragazza in cassa che, senza scusarsi per l'accaduto o altro, si limita a dirci il prezzo da pagare. Nel momento in cui facciamo notare che il tagliere non lo abbiamo ordinato ma è stato un loro errore, ci viene detto "eh ve lo siete pappato ahahah". Fine dell'argomentazione e del dialogo. Grazie :)

Esperienza pessima, personale arrogante e maleducato, servizio ai tavoli confusionale ai limiti del ridicolo. Abbiamo scelto un antipasto senza sapere se fosse sotto forma di tagliere o altro, abbiamo avuto una svista e abbiamo accettato il piatto arrivato come nostro (dopo che era già stato portato alle persone sedute nel nostro tavolo, quindi doppio errore nel servizio). L’antipasto ordinato ci è stato portato 15 minuti dopo, quando già avevamo consumato il tagliere, senza chiederci se volessimo comunque accettare il "secondo" antipasto e criticando con arroganza il fatto che avessimo finito il piatto sbagliato. In cassa data la nostra perplessità riguardo l’accaduto e quindi il prezzo la risposta è stata oltremodo maleducata, sottolineando il fatto che avevamo finito il piatto sbagliato e che dato ciò dovevamo pagarlo. Sicuramente non torneremo, consiglio di fermarsi altrove in valle. In risposta: Il problema non è stato con la giovanissima cameriera che ha portato per due volte il tagliere al tavolo sbagliato ma è stato nella gestione della situazione, quando non ci è stato chiesto se volevamo l’altro antipasto lasciandolo sul tavolo e ribadendo il nostro errore. L’insinuazione che volessimo mangiare qualcosa in più senza pagare è oltremodo fuori luogo e ancora una volta dimostra il vostro atteggiamento arrogante e maleducato. Abbiamo riconosciuto il nostro errore nell’accettante il piatto sbagliato e non abbiamo fatto storie nel pagamento se non per chiedere chiarimenti. Anche fare conti nelle tasche altrui è oltremodo maleducato ma la ringrazio per il consiglio, non credo ci sarà occasione di tornare quando in valle ci sono così tanti posti più accoglienti e onesti.

If I could, I would give ZERO STARS. A weekend of celebration and start of December Christmas spirit and joy was destroyed by hotel’s manager name Elena aggressive behavior. We arrived at 13:00 as be booked a lunch at their restaurant as well. Soon as we came the room was ready and mrs. Elena welcomed us to the room, to drop the luggage (we didn’t ask for early check in but appreciated anyway). After we went straight to eat at their restaurant and lunch was ok, nothing special but food was decent. Around 14:30 when we finished with lunch we went to the room just to change and when we were leaving we checked if the doors close( we always check as we keep computers and photographer cameras in the room as we work with it daily) and the doors were easy to open even though should stay locked. So we kindly went down to reception and kindly reported that doors aren’t locked properly.The second we said that mrs. Elena became all red in face, raised her voice and accused us we are inventing all up. Then we asked to come and check and she even refused to enter in the same elevator with us. I have never saw someone get angry so fast for just reporting a problem in the hotel, KINDLY ASKING TO FIX IT. She ran up stairs and checked the doors and guess what? Doors that should be locked opened for her too. After she saw her reaction was wrong she started to scream at us loudly and aggressively. I have never experienced something like that in my life. I seriously got scared of her behavior. After we just left because clearly she wanted to fight with us. More we were telling to her to calm down more she was screaming. After I have checked the reviews here and on other plataform and saw we were not the first guests there to have this experience. Honestly I am still in shock of what happened and my weekend was completely destroyed by this rude lady. Thankfully the morning after at reception had some other lady(probably her mother as looks like family business) and she said that some tecnic came to check the doors and fix the doors as was something wrong with electrical appliances. But still NO SORRY NO APOLOGY. And for the end I ask for the bill for lunch we had and was 72€. A real joke. We even drank only tea, and no desert. This was the worst “holiday experience of our life. Avoid this place at all costs!

For 25 euros, I got two tiny pieces of meat with a bit of sauce and a few potato wedges – nicely presented, but the quantity was a joke. For that price, I would have expected significantly better quality and a better portion. When I expressed my displeasure, the chef simply took the food away from me – without replacement or apology. I've never experienced anything like that in a restaurant. Absolutely terrible value for money, and the way they treated guests was simply disrespectful. Never again!

Working with customers means welcoming them, or at least not making them feel uncomfortable with your jokes. I arrive with friends for a drink, and when we ask for pineapple juice, instead of replying, "We offer local organic products, so we have other flavors," we're told, "We have Piedmontese products, and until proven otherwise, pineapples don't grow in Piedmont." This wasn't even accompanied by a laugh or a smile to soften the unsolicited joke about where pineapples grow. The waitress's communication problem persists when she asks for three small bottles of water, with a counter-proposal, "Okay, let's make a large one," bringing us a glass carafe. It's unprofessional to communicate with customers in such a colorful and off-putting manner.
