Hubby and I have been here twice. Each time we had a blast. People are friendly and it is just an overall great experience.

Love 47! Great layout since it's one big room with the bar across one wall and two pool tables (that only takes quarters, $2/game). They've got an amazing jukebox that has a lot of music. They don't serve food but on weekends they'll have a taco truck and you can bring food in. Sometimes on the weekend a drunk will put in a bunch of money in it and walk away so if you're lucky you get free plays 😂. Parking is tough though since it's essentially in the Fun Zone but it's worth it.

This place rules but don't come here because I need a seat at the bar! 🍻

I have frequented this bar for 20 plus years, and I have always enjoyed the establishment. The staff is amazing, the locals are always a lot of fun. Great drinks, wonderful atmosphere, but my first experience with was a bartender named Trish. Her sense of humor, professionalism, and vibrant nature is sorely missed. Especially on the weekends.Used to be one of my favorite weekend hot spots. I wish everyone well at the class of 47’.

So I went on June 18, and the very cute bartender guy with the mustache and hat asked if I wanted a drink—super nice, super smiley. He’d already randomly smiled and waved at me earlier, so for a second I thought, hmm, is this man flirting? Spoiler: if he was, he fumbled hard. Didn’t even ask for my number. Tragic. You missed your shot babe.

Class of ‘47 is literally the best bar on the peninsula! When my boyfriend and I visited here from Boston in February Trish was working and made us feel like instantly like home. She truly is one of the reasons that we moved to Newport! Her hospitality and unmatched personality is contagious. Trish always remembers everyone’s name, drink and a little tidbit about themselves… She is truly one of a kind and the reason why we keep going back to Class of ‘47!

Love this bar! It is a small local bar that many people love to visit over and over including myself. Trish (one of the bartenders will greet you with a smile, great energy, and customer service-she is FAST!). The bar was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. However, the last 2 times I went in I was surprised to not see her working and didn’t stay because I didn’t feel the welcoming energy I did with her. Love this bar, can anyone tell me her schedule so I can go in when she is working?

New female manger was highly rude and disrespectful I use to love this place Travis is awesome and so is the owner Pat but if there not around you have rude and very unprofessional people working there! So if your coming from out of town look around else where many peaceful bars and great establishment near by walking distance

The bar had a good vibe and we had a great time The bartenders were amazing and made very delicious green tea shots. They were pleasant to talk to you as well as everyone else in the bar.

Had a great time playing pool and drinking here after a long day at the beach. The bartender was extremely kind, knowledgeable and attentive to all her guests, I believe her name was Trish. The bouncer John is a hard worker and very professional. The older regulars were extremely nice and made me feel welcomed. The younger regulars here however have some serious issue with people that don’t look like them. Such a shame, I was really looking forward to making this my frequent spot anytime I’d be in the area… I guess not :/

The bouncer John is a hard worker and very professional. The older regulars were extremely nice and made me feel welcomed. The younger regulars here however have some serious issue with people that don’t look like them. The bartender that was working on a Saturday including the rest of her team were the most rude, disrespectful, and unwelcoming team I have ever met. The bartender was an older skinnier lady with a fake flower in her hair. She made backhanded comments while our group was trying to order drinks. We were nothing but respectful throughout the whole night she constantly made us feel like we were bothering her when all we were doing was ordering drinks. Every time we ordered she would make sly remarks that were backhanded and just straight up rude. As for her team, they were very aggressive and power hungry. I think this whole group of workers just genuinely treat people who normally don’t come into this bar as a nuisance. I think if you are someone who doesn’t know them personally they will treat you like trash. We went out in such a good mood and ended up feeling awkward and disrespected. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, if you are looking for a fun spot to enjoy causal drinks with your friends. I’m being nice leaving one star negative reviews don’t amount to the experience we had. -1000/100 stars.
