Restaurante acogedor con una carta corta pero con platos ideales para compartir. La calidad es buena, con platos tradicionales con un twist moderno. Buena relación calidad precio y con un servicio atento, profesional y de buen rollo. Recomendamos el bacalao, la berenjena y la crema catala. Una buena experiencia!

Otro nivel de lugar en el centro de Barcelona. Te encuentras en este barrio muchos sitios dear comer y beber que no son auténticos, pero este es diferente. Comida espectacular y con un toque propio, los cocteles son muy buenos y tienen de autor. Sin contar con el personal que son amables y atentos. El ambiente del lugar es único. Recomiendo visitar

Entramos para tomar unos cócteles y tuvimos la suerte de encontrar sitio en la barra. Los cócteles fueron, sinceramente, de los mejores que he probado nunca. El barman los preparaba de forma impecable y, además, era súper agradable. El resto del personal no se quedaba atrás: todos muy amables y atentos, creando un ambiente realmente agradable. Mientras disfrutábamos de nuestras bebidas, me fijé en los platos que estaban pidiendo otras mesas y tenían un pintón increíble. Es, sin duda, un lugar perfecto tanto para cenar como para simplemente tomar algo con buena música y mejor servicio. Un sitio totalmente recomendable al que volveremos seguro.

Entramos de casualidad y la verdad que super bueno. Al principio pensábamos que sólo íbamos a picar y terminamos pidiendo 4 tapas y un principal a compartir. Los camareros super amables y serviciales y el ambiente muy agradable también. Gracias!

Lugar fantástico en el centro de Barcelona. El servicio amable y atento en todo momento nos hicieron sentir como si no hubiera nadie más que nosotros. La comida exquisita. Obligatorio probar su paella de carne, el cochinillo acompañado de una buena copa de vino, o los delicados cócteles que hace el barman. Un diez porque no puedo darle más. Gracias por todo!

I was in Barcelona for a big conference and discovered Amades—love at first bite. The food was fantastic, the drinks were perfectly balanced, and the service was excellent. Work trips usually mean lots of restaurants and rarely a repeat visit, but Amades was the exception. I went twice: once with colleagues and once on my own. I sat upstairs one time and downstairs the other, and while the atmospheres were quite different, the food, drinks, and service were consistently outstanding. I ended up trying almost the entire menu, and honestly, everything was good—but the duck paella and the cod really stood out as my favorites. An exceptional experience all around, and a place I’d happily return to again and again.

Had dinner on our last night in Barcelona at Amades - a great way to end our trip 🩷 food was incredible and staff were very nice. I do recommend making a reservation. We tried to come in for dinner before but were turned away because all their reservation spot were taken for the night. Highlight dishes were the Braised Beef Canneloni and their croquettes. Ambiance was nice and relaxing, easy to have conversations with your dinner companion.

AMARES has been, without a doubt, the best restaurant we have tried during our trip to Barcelona. Every single dish was exquisite and bursting with flavor. We started with the shrimp in coconut milk and wow…the flavors were absolutely spectacular. We also ordered the salmon toast, which was incredibly fresh, rich, and perfectly balanced. Truly unforgettable. For mains, we had the cod and the duck paella. The cod was cooked to absolute perfection, beautifully gratinated on top with the ideal flavor and texture. The duck paella was on an entirely different level.. an explosion of flavors. The green peppers, the mushrooms, the tender duck in the center… everything came together in the most delicious way. One of the best rice dishes we’ve ever had. For drinks, we tried the Mea Culpa, made with passion fruit, and it was absolutely delicious. Service was also exceptional. Jason, who took care of us, was extremely kind and attentive, and the food arrived surprisingly fast. This restaurant impressed us so much that we’re already thinking about coming back before we leave Barcelona. AMARES is a hidden culinary gem, and we highly, highly recommend it.

Charming rustic restaurant and bar in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Friendly staff and genuinely delicious food. The croquettes topped with tuna sashimi and the seared cod fish were excellent. Cosy bar area downstairs, a small dining area up the lovely old staircase. Highly recommended for an infussy, inexpensive yet memorable dinner.

Small, low-key restaurant in the Gothic Quarter. We were concerned at first because they didn't have a big menu, but everything that we chose was amazing!!! We had the traditional style tomato bread which we had to prepare - was a good experience. The potato omelette and surf & turf (prawns, crispy pork in a coconut sauce) were both amazing - very flavorful! However the best dish we had was the burrata, ham, grapes & tomato! We've never had this cheese before and it's like if mozzarella and ricotta had baby! We finished off with the fresh strawberries in liqueur and whipped cream which was very refreshing. House wines were awesome. The servers were very attentive and helpful. It was an enjoyable and relaxing dinner on our last night in Barcelona.

This restaurant is absolutely incredible! The setting is stunning, with a beautifully decorated downstairs room that adds to the overall charm. The staff was absolutely lovely and incredibly attentive. Although we only had wine, the tables around us were raving about the white sangria, which we regretted not trying. The wine we had was perfectly recommended by the staff and complemented our meal beautifully. The food was truly exceptional. The tuna and potato croquettes were a standout dish, and the suckling pig was incredibly tender. While the menu is short, every dish was so enticing that we wished we could have tried them all. In fact, all the dishes were so good that we had to add bread to our order because we didn't want to miss a drop of any of the sauces. Overall, the combination of the fantastic atmosphere, wonderful staff, and outstanding food made for an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend.

This was a great find in an overcrowded touristy area of Barcelona. We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to seat us. We enjoyed the service and food. The eggplant dish and cod gratin were delicious and unique. Even on a Saturday night they did not rush us so we were able to stay longer talking with the couple next to us which enhanced our experience.

Cenamos en este local pequeño que antiguamente era una casa han sabido mantener la esencia. La carta es corta y son todos platos para compartir. Pedimos croquetas de patata con atún, pan con tomate, higos con foie y un canelón. Lo mejor sin duda los higos con foie, el canelón estaba bastante seco el relleno y las croquetas correctas. Se nota que es un local enfocado a los turistas, no solo por la forma que sirvieron el pan con tomate sino también de postre había chocolate con churros (se suele comer para desayuno). Me gusto que tenían sangria de cava y de vino, estaban muy buenas aunque flojas de alcohol. El trato fue muy amable y el sitio es acogedor, no obstante el precio fue elevado para lo que comimos.

Reservamos mesa para cenar. El restaurante es bonito, bien ambientado aunque el local no es muy grande. Se ve como preparan los platos, lo cual da confianza. También tienen wifi gratis. Nosotros elegimos para compartir croquetas. Eran de dos tipos de jamón y de boletus. A mí personalmente me gustaron más las de boletus, pero las dos variedades estaban buenas. Luego pedimos canelón de la abuela que también estaba muy bueno. Luego unas albóndigas, pero no nos gustaron mucho, sin más. Y por último el bacalao gratinado, que estaba espectacular. Para mí lo mejor de todo fue el bacalao, que merece la pena pedirlo. La atención de los camareros fue muy buena, siempre pendientes. Y otro punto a favor, es que es petfriendly, que dejan entrar a los perros sin problema. Sin duda volvería.
