The atmosphere is charming and authentic, with a warm and welcoming staff that made us feel right at home. Every tapa we tried was flavorful, but the standout was definitely the squid croquetas—crispy on the outside, creamy and rich on the inside. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the whole experience felt relaxed. Highly recommended if you're looking for a true taste of Spanish cuisine in a cozy setting.
Repetimos seguro
The place is small but they'll let you stand and drink/eat at the bar. The cured tuna was one of the best foods I've ever eaten. Their olives and vermut are top notch too. Great spot.
We showed up at Bodega La Palma at "tourist o'clock", around 4pm on a weekday in November as the first stop in our self-directed tapas tour. The staff was very welcoming, and the patatas bravas, olives, house wine, and croquettes were all delicious! The atmosphere was also very cool: large barrels, dark wood, moody. Gracias!
BLP was recommended by a friend and confirmed by our tour guide, so we figured it must be good. We made a same-day reservation by phone for a party of 5 (it’s a small place) and had a great meal. Between our waiter Cristian’s English and our limited Spanish, we were able to communicate fairly well. He and the owner(?) made suggestions for wine, gave us a taste to help decide, and suggested menu items. We ordered about 12 different tapas, 2 bottles of wine, and 2 desserts to share, and it was the best meal of our stay in Barcelona.
This restaurant is tucked in the corner of a quiet alleyway. We stumbled across it and the host was extremely welcoming. Our server, Christian, gave us wonderful recommendations including the flavourful mussels. Between the tapas, cava, and warm atmosphere, we could see why this is a place locals gravitate to time and time again.
I was here with a tour and my guide picked an excellent spot with tapas accompanied with a drink. They took our group upstairs where it was more private and the pairings were excellent. I left feeling full and satisfied. A solid location with a very friendly and welcoming feel. I’d definitely come back here again and try their other menu items.
Last year I tried this restaurant and this month, when I came back to Barcelona it was in my restaurant list again and for a reason. It would be an understatement to write “delicious food”, it has to be tasted. The menu is quite unique and has many different and tasty tapas. I’m not usually into desserts but the selection in this restaurant changed my mind, they were so light, well-made and extremely delicious, definitely try their cheesecake. The staff was also great. I strongly recommend this place.

Friendly and nice service, very tasty spanish tapas and lovely atmosphere. Small place, and maybe some noisy, but very charming.

Great tapas, atmosphere, staff, authentic Spanish a great find we just happened to go in to get out of the heat! So glad we did

Cool place with super friendly staff. They focus on a slight twist on the traditional taps. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable.
Honest review: not everything on the menu was to my taste — probably just a matter of personal preference — but the signature dish was excellent. The service was genuinely friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience very pleasant. The setting, in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, feels steeped in history — a bit like stepping into an old film. And the vermouth? Absolutely perfect 😌
We were recommended Bodega La Palma by our hotel reception as a good authentic eatery within an area filled with tourist options. We didn’t reserve so were given a small table upstairs. Atmosphere was good, the food was very nice and the service friendly. Price was reasonable too. The English menu could do with better translation (being Spanish I would have preferred a Spanish option. The inside of the Bodega is very traditional and old world cool. Worth a visit if you want to eat in this area of Barcelona.
We went to Bodega La Palma on a Thursday evening because we read online that it’s a typical, local spot. We didn’t have a reservation but arrived around 7 PM, and they gave us a table right away with a limit until 9 PM. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place itself is very simple yet welcoming, creating a cozy atmosphere. We tried a mixed platter of cured meats, including several types of sausages and chorizo. They didn’t have sangria (which, contrary to popular belief, is very touristy), so we opted for some beers instead. Then we had the patatas bravas, which were really good, the bread with tomato (the tomato was rubbed on the bread rather than chopped), and the famous ham croquettes, which are definitely worth trying. The prices were very reasonable. Overall, a nice experience!
Loved the atmosphere in here with the big barrels and the cozy room. The food came out quick, we had the squid and jamon croquettas and they were delicious. The house vermouth was delicious as well. The bravas were a little underwhelming for us because we prefer a little more crispier, it looks like their style is a different than the usual fare. The tortilla del patatas was not particularly exciting but it also had a very homemade quality to it that I appreciated. The service was friendly and we felt well taken care of.
Little nice place at Barcelona city center with good tapas and dishes to share. Typical old school decoration and helpful and professional staff. We paid about 27 EUR per person without desserts but repeating drinks. Recommended to book in advance as it’s quite small and can get crowded.
I stoped here at night. The people were very nice and worked rapidly. The food was pretty good. I liked the meatball and clams the best. A nice small place.
No volveré
We had the smoked cod fish, roasted meat cannelloni, and crema Catalana. The dishes were okay and could have had more flavor. This was my first time trying crema Catalana and it was VERY runny and had no flavor. I expected something more similar to creme brulee but I figured maybe that's just how it is. I eventually had crema Catalana elsewhere and it was much better, so it just wasn't good here. I wouldn't plan on eating here again.
Bodega La Palma might be overrated. Yes the history is fascinating (artists paying for food by painting on the walls - wonderful stuff) and it oozes that old Spanish vibe, however….. the service wasn’t the sharpest and although the food is reasonable (talk of the ‘best’ patatas bravas is hyperbolic sadly) it seems it’s all prepared in advanced and microwaved. My Spanish wife wasn’t impressed by this, nor by the fact they’d run out of tortilla (unforgivable in her eyes). Go for a quick drink, a couple of tapas and to have a look around but just don’t expect to be blown away.
Ok food but very expensive and despite asking to bring things out slowly all our dishes were with us within 5 minutes so we had to eat and we sat and drank for an hour after

A very disappointing experience, especially since we had a reservation. We understand that it can be busy, but we cannot understand being consistently avoided and ignored for more than 30 minutes. No one came to our table, no attention at all, no drinks, nothing. It also did not seem like the staff were working particularly hard. There was chaos and a lack of competence among the staff. They simply could not handle it. We were not the only disappointed customers. It may have been a bad evening and perhaps we were unlucky, but even then you can still give your guests a bit of attention. So we left…
