We've been there twice in 5 days in Barcelona. We are a family and we had 2 wonderful dinner at "L'Olivera" at the end of December. Food was delicious and all the waiters are very kind and helpful. My daughter ate her best fish and chips, we had wonderful meat. Don't miss it, but we suggest to reserve your table.

A vibrant place on a quiet street with great selection of beer, tapas and main courses. The waiters speak good English. It might be better to book in advance if you want to sit on the terrace

One of the best restaurants I have ever ate in Barcelona. Luckily for us is just 950meters away from our apartment. Everything is so good, there is simply no critics that I could add. And the prices are excellent, very honest! Keep up the good job, we'll come back at least once per week.

Me and my mum visited for tapas dinner and we were very impressed with the lovely service and amazing food, especially with the good prices. We ordered 4 tapas dishes, sangria and also alfajor de maicena for desert which was lovely. We never got to thank our Argentinian waiter for his lovely service and to let him know we loved the alfajor de maicena. Would definitely recommend this place for lovely dinner.

We loved this place, we came back 2 times. The sangria was delicious and refreshing, and the calamari was tasty and crispy. We had tapas the first time, and when we came back 2 days later, we had the fish special with potatoes brava. I will be thinking about this restaurant until I return.

Our first stop after landing in Barcelona. As vegans, we absolutely loved it here & so happy to have found it by chance. Lovely interior, great selection of tapas at good prices, such friendly staff and fabulous Sangria! Recommend vegan croquettes & vegan meatballs

Went here back in 2015. I still remember the potato bravas here! It was delicious!! 2023 update Came back here again after 8 years, and it brought back very fond memories! Yes, food is just as good as before!! Service also attentive. Crispy and tender Calamari, potato braves, and....chicken fingers were great too!! This place is walkable to metro Glories station, recommend everyone to try it out after seeing architectural buildings in the exiample area.

We came in the evening with a small company. Great place! The waiters know English, everyone is polite, the dishes were prepared quickly. Everything that was ordered was very tasty! I recommend it!

They have English menu. I ordered fish and chips , grilled calamari and garlic mushrooms. The fish and chips actually came with fried calamari too. I will come back here again. I didn't expect the portion was bigger than expected.

Super yummy tapas! Came here just after viewing the Torre Glories, which was within walking distance. We weren’t super hungry so just ordered a few to try. We had the garlic mushrooms, grilled squid and serrano ham. Each one was excellent. Would recommend.

Always my go-to place for tapas. Had been in many different tapas place, but no one beats the quality, taste and service provided by L’Olivera. I tried nearly the whole menu and funny enough I don’t have any item I did not enjoy. Therefore, I still have my favourites, pan con tomate, Bunuelos de Bacalao, chicken finger, provolone with cheese. But the tortillas, las olivas are super great. The service is SUPER! The bar is also pet friendly, you can go with your pet ❤️🌈 If you are doubting about going and giving a try, I’d say to you: go. This will become your favourite place to go, and most likely you will be a weekly customer like I am 🥰 Not only five stars to them, but ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (7 stars)

My parents always recommend this place to me and the family and it did not disappoint. We ordered tapas and drinks for the 5 of us, the Potatas Bravas is the best we have ever had in Barcelona (we have been a few times) the sauces that came with them were lovely as well. We had the Tempura Mushrooms which I haven't had before, they were really hot and really tasty! The Spanish Omlette was hot and very tasty, we also ordered Ham Croquettes, Chicken Wings, Cod Fritter Balls, Chorizo and tomato bread. Everything was perfect! The Sangria was gorgeous as well. We did order Vegan Hummus Croquettes and another portion of Omlette but they didn't arrive (we weren't billed for them) so not sure what happened there but the service was really steady and we were really content with what we had. If we didn't have plans for the rest of our time here I would go again tomorrow! I will definitely come back here again and would highly recommend if you visit Barcelona! The toilets were also clean as well.

The food was amazing, the staff is very friendly and speak English they also offer menus in English if that is your preference. The place is very small and cozy but it was perfect for a couple like us. I recommend the croquetas de jamón, las patatas bravas and the bocadillo de milanesa. The wine and vermouth were excellent as well. I definitely will be going back to this place while visiting Barcelona.

Excellent food, good music, friendly servers, great prices. Very happy with this little tapas bar, I highly recommend checking them out. The oyster mushrooms were the highlight of the meal, followed by the eggs with chorizo on frites.

Buen restaurante para comer todo tipo de comida a un precio razonable. Tienen muchas opciones, desde hamburguesas y milanesas a tapas tradicionales. La comida está muy buena y se sirve bastante rápido. Con opciones veganas. Fuimos un grupo grande y nos acomodaron sin problema en el interior. Tienen terraza y cambiador de bebés.

Los huevos estrellados con patatas y chorizo, la patata y tiene dos huevos está muy rico pero las rodajas de chorizo son bastante picantes. No a todos le gusta el picante. La lasaña está muy buena, el mejor plato, óptima en todo. La ensalada César tiene mucho sabor anchoa. Quizá deberían avisar. El carrito cake está bueno, algo seco a 6.50€ y ración es pequeña. Me sobra el sirope raro de mango por encima. La salsa hace que no notes el sabor al pastel, una pena. No me gusta el mango. El restaurante tiene música de fondo. Nivel de ruido alto, suele haber mucho grupos de comensales. La rapidez es buena

Buen restaurante de tapas pero con servicio a mejorar (meseros colapsados) Comida: Las tapas son algo grandes. Probé: albóndigas y patatas bravas. Servicio: Después de sentarme, esperé muchísimo para ser atendido, pedir la comida y pagar. En reiteradas ocasiones tuve que hacerle señas para hablar con el mesero y al final tuve que levantarme para pagar en barra. Los meseros estaban con mucho trabajo y no estaban 100% pendientes en todas las mesas. (No sé si sea por falta de experiencia, falta de protocolo, distribución y numeración de mesas o fue ese día puntual) Ambiente: es un local tranquilo, tiene parte interna y terraza. En resumen y basado en lo que viví, no recomiendo mucho este local si buscas una experiencia global (comida, atención y ambiente).

Muy decepcionada, tercera vez que me van disminuyendo la ración Suelo pedir a petición de mi niño fish and ships y cada vez dan menos ración de pescado y más pequeños, ( ya incluso los aros de calamares están más grandes) y son contados 3 aros y 3 pedazos de pescado y mucha patata, propongo cambiar el nombre a "patatas con 3 de fish and chips" la próxima vez me preguntó si tocarán 2 calamares y 2 aros, una pena prefiero que suban precios.

Like many who have commented before, the food is fantastic! I loved all the dishes we got and the House vermut was also a highlight. However… we were a bit shocked by how a small incident was handled by our waiter/kitchen. We were served by a young English speaking waiter who meant really well and offered us to sit more comfortably at the adjacent shop (same restaurant). Orders were taken but one dish was delivered to the people on the next table while their one was delivered to us. Next table dug into our food straight away whereas I hesitated and asked a non-English speaking waiter to check if that was ours. (Even though I don’t know how the dish would look, I didn’t quite expect so much cheese… so alarm bells!) After checking, the waiter took it away and it wasn’t replaced. A few minutes later, the English speaking waiter came to check how things were, and I mentioned that we are still waiting for the replacement of the mis-delivered dish, he then went to the next table, took the half eaten dish away from them, went back to the kitchen and within 1-2 min came back with what looked like the half eaten dish. The outer rim of the plate was soiled by the sauce (in the same fashion as how it looked when taken away 1-2 min ago), so I called the waiter back and asked him bluntly “is this the plate of food that he had just taken away from the next table?” (…not assuming he would do something so unethical, but perhaps he didn’t realise the dish had actually already been eaten!) He instantly replied “No. It’s a new one.” I took a small bite and realised that the dish was only lukewarm and with the soiled rim I was not comfortable. Next table looked at the dish suspiciously too and said the turnaround of making a “new one” is simply too quick to be true. I called the waiter back and apologised for not believing in him but the whole thing was too suspicious… It was then he said “Ok” and took the dish away. He then came by to say “they will make you a new one” which I hope didn’t imply the previous one was the half eaten one. I asked them to cancel it and let me settle the bill. I felt bad not coming across as not trusting that the waiter / kitchen would do the right thing, but honestly… there was a lot to doubt. So, once again, with the dishes that were delivered correctly… really tasty and would strongly recommend, but the fact my dinner had to end this way was disappointing.

It's quite upsetting to be the only black people anywhere and then have to really look and see the lack of service. I'd love to give the benefit of the doubt but we had to get the waiter to come to us three times and he even ignored us after we requested the bill making us then have to go inside and pay. We basically served our selves minus taking the order. The real tragedy here is the bad service overshadows just how great the food actually was, and it was so good!

Hemos venido un par de veces antes y los bocadillos que hemos comido son ricos, pero la atención de hoy fue muy mala. Estuvimos 20 min sin que nos retirarán los platos de los comensales anteriores y treinta minutos sin ofrecernos tan siquiera la bebida. Les pedimos tomar la orden dos veces y no nos hicieron caso. Entiendo que a veces hay mucho curro, pero al menos avisar, limpiar la mesa y ofrecer le bebida, que es lo mínimo.

Si pides una copa y tienes intención de cerrar, es simple, di: vamos a cerrar, no pongas ticket en mesa, subas música y pongas ya birra en barra para el mismo servicio..lo siento chicos, he sido camarera mucho tiempo, esas cosas se hacen cuando realmente no hay nadie. 108 € 3 personas no es para tratar así . 23:30.. acabando la copa de vino (del postre) como si fuera un chupito . Qué mala sensación

The waiter didn't tell us that one person had to pay it all for the whole table. He said it only when we were paying and only after a huge fight he let us pay for what one has consumed. Dishonest payment policy of the restaurant, not communicated clearly when one starts ordering. I see some similar reviews. I won't come again.

Doy esta nota porque el servicio fue muy lento. Nos trajeron la comida antes que la bebida y los cubiertos. Esperamos 10 minutos y se enfriaron las tapas. Para los cafés, nos avisaron que la chica tenía lío con y que esperaráramos. A los 30 minutos, los pedimos cuando el camarero nos confirmó que ya había pasado el lío y tardaron, sin exagerar, 40 minutos en llegar. Teníamos la mesa llena de los platillos de las tapas en el momento de los cafés. Vino una camarera que simplemente los amontonó y nos se los llevó para dentro del local aprovechando el viaje ya que iba dentro. Pedimos copas y tuvimos que pedirlas dentro en barra porque los camareros eran muy lentos y, para nuestra sorpresa, estaban hablando dentro.

El servicio bien, los camareros son muy simpáticos pero: 1- pedí una copa de Malbec argentino y lo que me llegó no tenía nada de Malbec menos que el precio. Me cobraron 4.10€ por una copa de vino tinto de una botella cualquiera abierta desde hace no se cuanto se casi sabía a vinagre 2- no dejaron pagar a cada uno el suyo y esto resulta muy incomodo cuando se va con un grupo de amigos y esta es una de la razones por las cuales no se te hacen volver porque te lo ponen super incomodo. No lo recomendaría a grupos de amigos porque si vais ahí y como muchas veces pasas alguien se marca antes y alguien se queda, una persona se tiene que encargar de pagar para todos y luego contactar a casa uno por su parte. Una perdida de tiempo en el - casi - 2026 y con todos los lugares donde esto no pasa

Pues la verdad nada recomendable, una reserva con 25 personas hemos comido con los platos en las rodillas, nos faltan mesas. El menú de 30€ cerrado acabo saliendo por 37€. Nos hace movernos a m día comida a cambio de unos chupitos al final en compensación por las molestias y sorpresa al final de la cuenta se niega a cumplir su palabra de los chupitos y la dueña se pone faltona e irrespetuosa. Nunca más volveremos a este establecimiento
