Excelente lugar para ir con amigas a desayunar o en pareja o tener una segunda cita. Los y las camareras son muy amables, es pet friendly y todos los productos de buenísima calidad.

Fuimos a desayunar un domingo. El café bien hecho, el bagel de salmón y las tortitas espectaculares. Las chicas que lo llevan son súper amables y atentas. Muy recomendable.

Fui ayer con mi pareja y solo tengo que decir que ME ENCANTÓ! Para empezar las chicas siempre sonrientes con muy buena vibra que flipas! La comida increíble! El adobo de las patatas delicioso! Sin duda volveremos!

Café tranquilo alejado del centro turístico. Tienen gran variedad de platos para brunch y lo que pedimos estaba riquísimo. El personal fue muy amable y el sitio es muy acogedor. No admiten reservas.

This is one of the best experiences I had at a café/restaurant in Barcelona. From the cozy vibe to amazing drinks, there was nothing not to love. The highlight was the staff. Even though we were on the packed upper level, our waiter provided impeccable service while she was constantly on the move taking orders, clearing dishes, and checking in on her tables. The food was rich and on the better side of prices compared to what we had seen elsewhere. The owner was delightful and took the time to make everyone feel welcome even though it was quite packed while we were there. I highly recommend Novela to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Highly recommend this place if you’re in Barcelona or live nearby. I ended up coming here two days in a row for brunch, honestly wished I had a bigger stomach so I could try more. The food is delicious, portions are generous, and I was full for the entire day. Prices are very reasonable, and the juices are so good, definitely don’t miss them. The staff are super friendly and welcoming too. Will 100% come back next time I’m in Barcelona!

A terrific find! We stopped by for brunch and enjoyed our visit. We were surprised to the nod to Thanksgiving! My husband had the Thanksgiving Eggs Benedict. I had the halloumi eggs Benedict. Both were outstanding. The bloody Mary was the best! Overall a great experience! Thank you for a great start to the holiday season!

There was a line at the entrance at 12, but they quickly seated me at a table upstairs. I really liked the coffee with oat milk and the sourdough bread. Good breakfast with eggs 🥚

The food was so good and so well priced (€12.50). It was well seasoned, the salad dressing was divine. The smoothie was also extremely delicious albeit a bit expensive for €6.50. The staff were also so lovely, helped me with what to order.

Novela is a truly cozy gem in Eixample — the kind of bar that makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The service is absolutely outstanding: Hudi treated us as if we were regulars, and his attention to every guest was remarkable. The waiter who helped us was equally friendly, giving us great recommendations from the menu, including a pizza that was nothing short of incredible. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfectly matched with ice-cold beer that was always served promptly, without us ever having to wait. The location is excellent, the prices are more than fair, and while enjoying our drinks, we couldn’t help but notice how appetizing every dish coming out of the kitchen looked — paired with the attentive and professional service from the entire staff. Barcelona needs more places like this. Delicious food, perfect service, and a cozy vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Highly recommended!

First of all, make sure to not miss the house limenade! It's so worth it on a hot Barcelona day. The food is also excellent. I would recommend the big breakfast sandwich. The restaurant itself is very clean with nice music and a fun style.

Simply a wonderful place! We must have been here four times in the last few days - and every single time was a highlight. Whether it was coffee, brunch or cocktails - everything was absolutely delicious and made with love. Es un lugar peculiar. La parte de arriba me pareció la más cómoda tanto para tener una conversa tranquila como para trabajar. El café con leche que pedí no me pareció bueno pero bueno, era tomable, más no. Tarta muy rica. Tienen opciones sin gluten carta muy variada. Sino fuera por la atención desmesuradamente simpática y amable ;) no sé si me acordaría del lugar. Te hacen sentir como en casa. Seguramente vuelva, pero tomaré un te o zumo 😜

Very bad experience. I went for brunch with a friend and ordered a salmon toast. In the middle of the meal, I found a piece of glass inside the food, which I almost swallowed. I immediately told the waitress, who apologized and said it was “a mystery,” but no one else came to explain or offer any solution. I didn’t finish the dish and they didn’t charge me for it, but I did pay for the coffee. Honestly, this is unacceptable and very dangerous, as it could have caused a serious injury. I also missed seeing more care and responsibility from the staff. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Muy mala experiencia. Fui a comer un brunch con una amiga y pedí una tostada de salmón. En medio de la comida encontré un trozo de cristal dentro del plato, que casi llego a tragar. Avisé enseguida a la camarera, que me pidió disculpas y comentó que “era un misterio”, pero nadie más vino a dar una explicación ni a ofrecer una solución. No terminé el plato y no me lo cobraron, aunque sí pagué el café. Sinceramente, me parece inaceptable y muy peligroso, ya que podría haberme causado una lesión. Además, eché en falta más interés y responsabilidad por parte del personal. No recomiendo este sitio en absoluto.

Pasaba por delante y me llamó la atención , además vi que ponía 2x1 hasta las 20h. Asi q entre, justamente mire el reloj y eran las 20h en punto, me dijeron de subir al piso de arriba, subí y me sente en una mesa, le pregunté por el 2x1 y la respuesta del camarero italiano con camisa a cuadros azul y moreno me dijo q eran las 20.06 mint y que ya había terminado. Mi opinión es que ha sido 0 profesional, por que justamente he entrado a las 20 en punto y lo q he tardado en subir y sentarme , el camarero a bajado al piso de abajo y cuando ha vuelto a subir y tomarme nota ya eran las 20.06h. Pasan 6 mint de las 20h y ha sido por culpa del camarero y quien paga el pato de no poder disfrutar de la promoción soy yo ,la clienta. Muy guay el local pero NO VOLVERÉ ya qué seguro que encuentro mejor servicio en otros locales de la zona.

Hola, vengo a dejar una reseña del trato que hemos recibido mis compañeros y yo en este local, desde el respeto, quiero comunicar la falta de veneración que han tenido los trabajadores de este local, nos han dado caras largas y muchas prisas por echarnos de manera indiscreta de su local, desatorgandonos la posibilidad de jugar a una juego de mesa. Nos han dado la cuenta a toda prisa, ni dejándonos más de 5 minutos desde que nos trajeron la cuenta para emanarnos del local para acoger a nuevos clientes de una manera irrespetuosa, ya que en la puerta se ha podido ver la cara larga de la compañera cuando salíamos del local.

Tuvimos una mala experiencia en este local. Uno de nuestros familiares tiene alergia al gluten y a la leche. Como no había ninguna opción apta para él, preguntamos amablemente si podía consumir un pequeño trozo de bizcocho casero mientras pedíamos igualmente un café allí. La camarera nos dijo que estaba prohibido traer comida de fuera y que no podían hacer excepciones, aunque no nos ofrecieron ninguna alternativa segura para su alergia. Como consecuencia, nuestro familiar no pudo desayunar mientras el resto sí. Eché en falta empatía y sensibilidad hacia una persona con alergias alimentarias. Por este motivo, NO recomiendo este local a quienes tengan intolerancias o alergias, ya que no mostraron comprensión ni disposición para ayudar.
