Lugar muy tranquilo y muy bonito. La calidad de la comida muy buena. Atención por parte de los camareros excelente, tomamos la recomendación de ellos. Muy amablemente nos facilitaron una trona para la bebé. Mi recomendación para comer y beber el pollo al curry estaba muy buenísimo y el zumo de Maracuyá natural estaba muy bien. Igual el postre de tapioca delicioso.

Restaurante agradable con una carta reducida pero suficientemente variada y sobre todo bien conseguida. Platos muy buenos, sabor auténtico y de raciones generosas! Pedimos los Nem (muy buenos), el Bobun de pollo, el curry con pollo y verduras (espectacular), y arroz frito (también muy bueno). Buena relación calidad-precio. El servicio amable y el ambiente muy bien. Recomendado y repetiremos seguro!!

Ubicado en pleno centro de Barcelona, cuenta con una decoracion muy original y una terraza agradable. La comida esta muy buena, muy buena relacion precio-calidad, y la atencion es muy amable. Me gustó mucho el edamame con toque picante, el curry vietnamita y para terminar el postre de tapioca. Volveré!

Es mi restaurante favorito de barcelona. La atención siempre inmejorable, ambiente agradable y la comida bajo mi punto de vista perfecta. Lo recomiendo siempre y cuando voy a barcelona es visita obligatoria. Mis platos favoritos son los cuencos asiáticos y el Bun bo de ternera. Hecho de menos los fideos fritos que tenían hace unos años, pero aún así todo genial.

Ha sido un gran descubrimiento! Vinimos después de un vídeo de YouTube de @undeliciosomundo y la verdad es que hemos salido encantados! Hemos comido los dos tipos de rollitos, el curri y la sopa pho y de postre la tapioca y el cheesecake de maracuyá. Todo esquisto, super sabroso y saciante! Y la atención muy buena también! Deseando repetir!!

Amazing discovery in Barcelona! This place offers a fantastic authentic sushi. We enjoyed eating here. Food is generally good and has many options of sushi and meat to choose. All the fish was pretty good quality and the rice was soft and delicious. Price is considered very high but you get the quality. If you're looking for authentic Japanese food Highly recommended this place.

The dinner was exquisite: the fish quality was great, the service was very attentive and the overall ambience was cozy. We tried different plates, from sushi, nigiri, miso aubergine to fried chicken and wagyu and everting met our expectations. We’ll definitely come back!

My husband and I recently visited this restaurant spontaneously. We walked past, peeked inside, and it looked interesting, so we decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint at all! The food was delicious, and the wagyu was definitely the highlight. We just wish we could’ve sat at the bar!

The food is truely phenomenal. The location’s interior is a bit minimalistic for my taste. The service was kind and accommodating. More details in 3 focus comments: #1 food & beverage All the different dishes we had were phenomenal. The tastes were present and crisp. The food’s consistency was how it is suppose to be. The seaweed was so tender that it almost melted on my tongue. The chicken was perfectly tender. The Edamame were through and through salty but not too salty and certainly not just salty on the surface as I have often experienced it. The non-alcoholic beer was fantastic and just mildly sweet. Most European non-alcoholic beers are a bit too sweet for my taste. #2 service & experience Kind, accommodating and child-friendly. All staff members were attentive. Food was quick despite the already 50-60% occupation rate of the entire place. They have kids chairs. Such ones that are put on top of the regular chair. That works well. #3 interior The entrance is already special when you walk through the white cloth. The interior is rather minimalistic characterised by the open kitchen. The Japanese decoration is concerted in the entrance area - see my photos for details. The U-shaped room has no windows. All of that might sound off-putting but it’s is not when you’re there. #4 bonus tip Spontaneous visits for lunch are best in the first couple of minutes after they opened the doors. So you have a chance to grab one of the rare free unreserved seats. This is how it was for us.

We went here by accident, just wanting to get some quick sushi and spot it by wandering through the streets. We got totally blown off, it was the best sushi ever. Quality of the ingredients was out of this world, with the finest toro maki i ever had. If you truly enjoy sushi you want be disappointed.

We've been here now so many times. And yes - we've travellede to barcelona just to eat at Shunka. If you are in Barcelona GO EAT THERE! Obviosely it's not cheap but everything is absolutely worth it. Personal recommendations: Toro Nigiri, Unagi Nigiri, Fried Eggplants and if you're feeling crazy ask for Uni (Sea Urchin). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Authentic Japanese restaurant you should definitely try in Barcelona. My friend who’s living in Barcelona recommended me with this restaurant. Can’t tell how much I like it🥹💓💓💓 The tuna and eel nigiri are amazing. It’s even better than the one I had in Asia. The texture, smells and flavour are perfect. Especially the fat of tuna melts in your mouth and those flavour was staying on your tongue. Rest of them are fine, not amazing but not bad! Matcha ice cream is recommended too!

It’s located in Gothic area, Great authentic Japanese food with quality, the restaurant is cozy it’s almost always packed so I would recommend to make a reservation in advance. They has a wide menu, the service is so friendly and fast, for us the highlights were eel and Toro, I recommend this place for sushi lovers.

Hands down the best Japanese place I have probably been to in Europe! I can't stress how amazing this place is and deserves even 6 stars, you must read on! Firstly, it's a little hole in the wall, sister rest. Of Koy Shunka where majority of the staff were Japanese here. Would recommend making a reservation for lunch or dinner to get yourself a table! We were a group of 7 and we ordered plenty! The quality of the food vs what you pay is just out of this world! Their cold Saki is also something I would recommend. Food wise...WOW! ESPECIALLY THE nigiri. We ended up having it as desert from how great the torched tuna belly and the raw tuna belly nigiri's were. Other great recommendations would be the octopus, their salads, the calamari shell, Tempura and more! Service was on spot, orders flying in every few minutes keeping us craving for more. If you're in Barcelona, please do visit this place!

Uno de los asiáticos más veteranos del barrio que resiste el paso de los años. Cerraron el segundo del Raval, pero por suerte mantienen este, donde se come muy bien. Tiene un interior tranquilo y ambientado muy fielmente a Vietnam. Preferible en mi opinión a la terraza acotada, (ya que desde que se ha vuelto viral hacerse fotos en el muro del beso está siempre bastante masificada. Y lo que era tranquilo y agradable antes por qué quedaba bastante al margen de la saturación de la catedral ahora está también invadido. Bueno es lo que tiene ser tan turísticamente masificados).

Todo bien, la comida bastante sabrosa y los platos llegaron rápido. Si tuviera que decir algo en contra es el servicio, una vez sentado en la mesa es un poco complicado pedir otra bebida o un postre.

Un sitio agradable en una plaza con mucho encanto y comida abundante. La comida está muy rica. Pedimos cuencos vietnamitas en los que tú te hacías el propio envoltorio con hojas de lechuga y relleno de carne. Delicioso!!! Los rollitos fritos también eran muy apetecibles y crujientes. Me encantaron. Los segundos el pollo con mango correcto y el arroz frito con pollo y verduras muy bueno. Sorprende la cantidad de los segundos muy abundantes. La carta no es muy amplia. Antes había más variedad. Eche de menos un plato de entrantes combinados que me encantaba. El Lugar tiene una decoración súper atractiva de colores impactantes e ítems típicos de Vietnam. Me encanta el lugar. A modo de crítica constructiva los asientos no son muy confortables sin respaldar, duele la espalda. Y las mesas estén demasiado juntas.

A neighborhood with many restaurant options, this one stands out for a humble setting and quality sushi.🍣. Here I have tried Unagi that was generous in fish topping, excellent waggle beef, and a good selection of chef’s sashimi. The service is as you would find it in a simple Japanese restaurant, unpretentious and humble. Having travel to Japan several times, I would recommend this place for an authentic experience.

This could have been amazing. I lived in Japan for many years so was excited. However, I walked in and felt very unwelcome. I did order a drink and a couple of nigiri 🍣 but menu seemed lacking. I was told they can do anything but it wasn’t helpful. I had the tuna and eel, the eel was amazing, tuna average. Really it was the lack of service that let this place down and prices are not great. $20 euro or close to $35 AUD for a beer and two bits of sushi. Meh! I moved on pretty quick.

Charming restaurant but I don’t understand the ratings. Good located and furnished but the quality of the food isn’t commensurate wit the prices. The menu is 65€ and if you go for the dishes I wouldn’t recommend the octopus. The chicken is ok but small portions and the sushi is just ok.

It used to be one of the best sushi restaurants in Europe but now....I’m so sad. If you are looking for quality ingredients, great skills in sushi making and value for money, this is not the place. It wasn’t cheap before but the quality matches. It’s now serving tourists who have money but no idea about Japanese food (or general good taste in food😂). It’s not terrible but certainly isn’t worth the price tag and there are sooo many other restaurants in Barcelona who serve much better food at a fraction of the price here....

Not sure how the restaurant got its high rating, but the food quality definitely does not commensurate with the hype and price. The fresh oysters were good and the ebi udon was decent too. But the sushi rice / Shari was undercooked and lacking in flavour. All the sushi and the ikura negitoro don we ordered just tasted horrible with the undercooked rice. The restaurant was at 80% capacity and well-staffed (I counted 6-7 chefs in the kitchen and at least 5 waitstaff). But food takes a ridiculous long time to arrive, esp sushi where there’s no cooking involved. Wait time between dishes was very long as well. Service was decent though not the friendliest. I’m not sure why they only provided serve-ware to adults and not my child who was clearly there for food too. Food quality is really disappointing and undercooked sushi rice is unacceptable for a sushi restaurant. Restaurant needs to have better quality check on food given expectations are high especially when it’s a sister restaurant of a Michelin starred restaurant.
