So they pretty much have perfected the churro and Chocolate thing. Multiple options. Fair warning if you are looking for the American version of hot chocolate then you need to ask, the normal hot chocolate here is actually bitter sweet chocolate, and is very rich and thick. Much more like hot fudge. For the chocolate lovers... You need this in your life. If you don't love chocolate, or are looking for Swiss Miss.... You will be disappointed.

I was on a 5 day trip to barcelona and the first morning we went to this chocolateria. We were so in love with ghe churros dipped in melted chocolate that we went there everyday of our trip 🤓 Our standard order was 12 churros and 2 cups of melted chocolate (one with whipped cream on top). We were two people. Everyday it was a delight having our breakfast here! I strongly recommend you visit this amazing place!

Buen sitio para los amantes del chocolate y la marca Valor. Tienen chocolate con churros con diferentes variedades de chocolate. Los precios son asequibles y aunque no son los mejores churros que hay no están nada mal. El chocolate blanco Nepal con churros está delicioso, aunque muy dulce. Puede que esté un poco empalagoso si no se está acostumbrado al dulce. También puedes comprar diferentes tipos de chocolate.

El lugar está muy pequeño pero el servicio es rápido. Había probado los chocolates Valor antes y estaba muy emocionada de probar la comida en la Chocolatería. Las porras, porque son porras no churros, la verdad es que no están mal pero tampoco son las mejores. La chocolatada vegana es muy buena, pero solo tienen la opción caliente. No hay opciones frías de bebidas con chocolate.

For the many times I’ve come here, I notice the change in taste as for the masa of the porras. Hot chocolate is good, thick and rich. Whipped cream is good also but maybe not made by themselves, maybe from a can? I kept coming back here because their first impression lasted, it was really good I had to come back. It’s a bit congested inside. Small space. They have a bathroom inside for the clients. Staff is very formal. Polite, yes. But no smiles.

CHOCOLATE CHURROS- they are divine, hot delicious. Now to talk cons of this place. It is so small, you will have to wait a while for a table. If you are not a fan of dark chocolate, you may struggle with these. The dipping chocolate is rich, thick and mild but not sweet. Extra churros are likely needed as there is so much dipping chocolate, however the locals eat it with spoon. Delightful both ways.

The place was really full and the service was slow. But we had some delicious churros with chocolate. I really recommend you to try this if you are in Barcelona for the end of the year or in the beggining of the year. It is a Catalan tradition to gather with friends and ear churros with chocolate.

I've been coming here for years, I think the chocolate and porras are the best. The staff are clearly trying their best but there's simply not enough people and it's really cramped. But my real gripe is the toilets are just completely run down, nothing is particularly clean and the whole place just seems like it hasn't been renovated in 10+yrs. Honestly it feels like the whole place is mismanaged.

They "forgot" to give us all 12 ordered Churros (only 9 have been on the plate, so I recommend to count them before you start eating). The place is rather tiny and the employees seem to be stressed, looks like a understaffed situation in general and only a pure profit oriented layout by the top management. So the waitresses probably suffer from the situation, too, and cannot change the setup on their own.

Sugar bombo for sure! Chocolate a la taza is interesting but easy to get overloaded by its sweetness and thickness. Churros were very different from what I knew as churros, a bit more oily.

Ain't sure of the taste palates of most reviewers but here's my take on this place. Food was mediocre. Ordered churros and pancakes. Churros were quite dense, and the multi chocolate dipping sauces we ordered were an interesting assortment. Dark chocolate, condense milk, light powder chocolate. Though all tasted either watered down or not the right consistency. Pancakes clearly aren't their specialty. Servers: as other reviewers have pointed out they are mainly Filipina. Most of which could be better trained in customer service excellence. Ambience: place was quite cramped maybe due to them adding more tables. All in all, I'd say it isn't a must see or recommend place on your travels to Barcelona.

Esta chocolatería ha bajado mucho de nivel. La masa de lo que hacen llamar churros queda compacta y más bien parece un pan frito, a parte de que no tienen grosor alguno. La chica que los hacía no parecía haber hecho un churro nunca. La nata que echan en los chocolates es de spray, por lo que enseguida se queda aguada en el chocolate caliente. El chocolate caliente no tiene mucho sabor, y además probé uno con supuesto sabor a avellana que no se diferenciaba nada del normal. Representando a una marca como es "CHOCOLATES VALOR" el producto debería tener más calidad.

Two stars and I’m being generous, and both stars only for the churros and chocolate, which were amazing, but totally almost ruined by the sourest girls I’ve ever seen, that were serving the place. If you can, just buy for takeaway, you’ll have a much better experience. ————— 2 estrellas y estoy siendo generoso, y se la llevan enteramente los churros y las tazas de chocolate, porque casi me las arruinan las dos chicas totalmente insufribles que llevan el sitio. Quisimos ir a comer churros un día de lluvia, pero nos negaron la entrada por llevar un perro pequeño y, con el mal tiempo, no era opción sentarnos fuera. Otro día soleado lo intentamos de nuevo: la terraza estaba llena, aunque en una mesa grande solo había dos personas. Pedimos separar las mesas y nos lo negaron. Los propios clientes nos ofrecieron compartir mesa, pero el personal también lo rechazó alegando que no podían cobrar por separado. Venimos cada año a Playa San Juan, pero no volveremos a este local. El trato fue poco amable y nada hospitalario, dando la sensación de que no necesitan a sus clientes.

Fuimos porque una experiencia previa en la chocolatería Valor en León me había dejado una muy buena impresión, y me había alegrado de verla también en Barcelona. Qué desencanto! Aunque el chocolate estaba bueno y el churro, un poco grasiento pero no estaba mal. no puedo decir lo mismo del trato. Nada más sentarnos ya nos estaban metiendo prisas, sin darnos ni tiempo a mirar las opciones. Sirvieron rápido, y a los quince minutos vinieron a retirar las tazas, aunque quedaba un churro en el plato y un chocolate estaba a medio consumir. Pedimos más tiempo y un agua. Diez minutos después vinieron de nuevo a retirar taza, y a los 45 minutos directamente nos dijeron que había que pagar, que no era una cafetería donde hablar, sino que se venía a comer chocolate y marchar. Por cierto que nos negaron la hoja de reclamaciones, diciéndonos que no tenían y que podíamos ir a reclamar al dueño al día siguiente.

Hace años, el chocolate era espeso y rico y la nata hecha al momento. Ahora no tienen máquina de nata y es de spray azucarada horrible y el chocolate aguado. Y las porras fritas con un aceite que se nota que está quemado y pasado. .. La mayoría de clientes son turistas que pasan por esa zona y se llena rápido pero la realidad es que no me gustó nada. No creo que vuelva. Una lástima cuando las cosas no se cuidan.

Pedimos una montaña de tortitas y la camarera, a parte de antipática, decidió que no y que nos sacaba tortitas normales, asquerosas y caras por cierto. A las tortitas no les puso ni nata ni helado y cuando se lo dijimos decidió que nata si pero helado no, me siento estafada para mí son 0 estrellas.

Hola,compré una tableta de chocolate Valor con Almendras y lo etiquetais como vegano y para nada es vegano,ya que contiene leche. A ver si os informáis bien,de cual es la diferencia,entre vegetariano y vegano. Espero que se rectifique el etiquetado. No puedo dar estrellas ya que la tableta está integra. L

La peor churrería de Barcelona que hemos probado, justo ayer 35min en la cola(todo ello por falta de organización y poco personal, dos chicas en barra y otra ordenando las mesas/clientes)con frío que hacía y dos niños, una vez dentro el chocolate solo te lo sirven en vaso chupito🥺, las porras las pedimos para llevar una vez fuera del local sacamos las porras y frías y como la goma...un desastre...18€ por 4 chupitos y 12 mitades de porra muy mal todo, para ser patrocinados por valor cutre muy cutre... No recomendaremos y no repetiremos. Además las chicas pobres inexpertas, el español les cuesta expresarse...fatal! Además después de 35min pasando frío una vez cerca a punto de pedir la máquina de efectivo se ha roto y solo tarjeta suerte de llevarla sino cola para nada...

Chocolatería destinada al turismo solamente. Chocolate muy líquido, nata de spray, brownie pequeño e demasiado dulce. No probamos los churros… Nada recomendable.

If you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience for simply existing, this might be the place for you. A member of the staff was repeatedly rude, not just once, but consistently enough that it felt intentional. The atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable, and any enjoyment was completely drained out of the experience. I only stayed because my dad used to love this place and I foolishly assumed some of that warmth might still exist. It doesn’t. Whatever this place used to be, it’s gone. Save your time, your money, and your mood — there are plenty of other places that understand basic courtesy. I wouldn’t recommend this one to anyone. This place has gone downhill. They’re quick to respond to good reviews, but ignore any criticism so I presume they'll do nothing to improve bad behaviours. That alone tells you everything you need to know.

Unfortunately, we got up and left. The waiter was serving locals who sat down after us. I stood up to let the table next to us get out and the waiter was walking by at the same time and so I asked for a menu please, he scolded me and told me to sit back down! But I was letting the owner people out so angrily told me to sit down again. Very rudely.

I hate leaving bad reviews but I was extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, this place doesn’t have much to do with the original Chocolatería Valor from Valencia. I arrived at 5pm (which in Spain is a completely normal time to eat churros). They were closing at 6pm but had already started putting away tables & mopping the floor. It took them 5 min to get my order because they were mopping the floor. The atmosphere was extremely unwelcoming because most tables couldn’t be used anymore and it seemed obvious the workers just wanted to finish their shift and get out of there. Later a few more people came in and we all had to crowd on one side of the café while the other side was completely empty and mopped. To top it off the churros were pretty bad, at least the hot chocolate was good. All in all a disappointment. :(

I rarely give negative reviews but it seems that after having taken a churros and chocolate formula the chocolate was never served to me??The staff was unpleasant and the taste of the churros as well as the drink were not of good quality. For a lower price I recommend others churros in the center which are more traditional and welcoming than this one🥲
