Sooo this has been my first time back since 2013. I must say it is a nice, environment for people who really want to just have fun. I went on Thursday which is karaoke night, and I like that it is all set up for you to pick your own song.They have social distancing and they disinfect the microphones each use. I know that I will be coming back again, especially for the karaoke.

This is by far the best bar in the area. The ceviche is fresh and delicious and very filling and amazing Alicia is the best bartender you will ever meet she is a sweetheart and beautiful come to this bar

This place has ceviche like… like I’ve never had before. And besides that, the people are nice, the beer is cold, life is good here. This is where you want to go when you’re visiting Barstow.

There was an AUTHENTIC American roots music performed by a very talented group of multi cultural musicians .They plaid every Tuesday night from 5:30 to 8:00pm which make Hooz on first a great place to be on that special day .Each week they did put on a great show.

I didn't see anything about food but the bartender was very friendly. That is always nice going to place for first time. They had a live band playing. They played well and it was like folk music. Just one of my favorites to listen to.the beer was cold and drinks were poured wonderful! If you like the game of pool, then you will be happy here. 2 tables that are level . The bad would be area. The surrounding buildings were borded up which didn't bother me but might others. There was a guy who wanted to use my phone. That seemed weird with his story. Something about buying a Ferrari! Lol . When leaving we had wonderful views of police cars with spotlights shining across street. They were looking for someone and we didn't want to meet him so left fast lol

The best part of this bar is not what you expect, it's not the selection of alcohol, or the amazing atmosphere, but what makes this place a gem in a bowl of rocks is the location. Halfways from Vegas to most central California cities to help forget what you did in vegas or to help you get ready for Vegas.

It's a casual place moderately price drinks have a happy hour karaoke on Saturday nights. And they also have a shuttle that will take you from your hotel or your house to the bar and Back home.

a good place to hang out temporarily while you're waiting for your car to get fixed at the auto shop across the street. I was there around noon and pretty hungry (skipped breakfast), but they didn't have any bar food, just the usual snack chips (Doritos etc.)

It's an OK place. Bartender seemed to disappear often. She was nice. Jukebox touchscreen was crap tho. It's VERY frustrating to use. The drink price of $6 for a screwdriver was to me a buck or two overpriced. I live in Vegas, where $4-$5 is more the norm for a place like this. Had an outdoor patio area that would be nice on a pleasant evening. They have pool table. Tons of TV s of course. Not called hooz on 1st anymore. I forget the name. They really need to fix the Jukebox tho

We have been stopping here for many years . Was a great stop with older locals. Apparently, they have new owners and changed the name to Top Dog. Completely different atmosphere and "Barstow"crowd.

Now is Top Dog tavern under new ownership inside is nice and redone.Overall business unsafe and not a place to feel safe. I was assaulted inside of bar on 4/5 friday night at 12:48 am in front of witnesses security tried to prevent me from calling police and wanted to hold me back from making sure assailant didnt leave telling me to just let him leave. Unprofessional unsafe and just shows what kind of place they run. security didn't let me go till I threatened him on phone with 911 that he was holding me hostage or keeping me from following assailant. lucky police were close since the assailant would have gotten away. this bar is not a safe place to be especially if you are just trying to mind your busines.
