Great food, I will leave this review because it deserves recognition for other to enjoy, the man has passion. I had the brisket and garlic fries, Creek salad(omg, now I crave it) super fresh and awesome. My son was surprised how awesome the burger was- and we travel all over so that's a great compliment. To the owner: keep up the great fresh food, we love it. See you on next round!
I will say this. No need to go to Roadhouse Bastrop (famous burger joint on the food network) unless you’re picking up sweet potato fries and that’s it. Alon, (pronounced ‘Alone’) is so detailed with his prized possession International GRUB. He used to be in Austin, TX with his food truck until it made more sense to position his business in a better place, where growth and cost are big factors. This spot is a little hidden gem RIGHT ACROSS BUC-CEE’S. It is next to the barber shop “Country CUTZ”, another hidden gem that funnels the best barbers from the school it is affiliated with. Now for the food. Wow. Everything is made from scratch. You can see it in the fries, you can taste it in the chocolate cake. It is creamy, MOIST, sweet, so much chocolate, not like Richy Rich. More like a Tres Leches without the leches, I guess. I’m confused. The food is not overpowering or too rich. The onion rings have just the perfect amount of crispness-to-golden ratio. I mean that the onions are actually present and not overly breaded. The consistency of what you get every single time is on point. According to multiple sources. Please don’t expect to get your food in 2 minutes like other “fast food” joints. I would consider this place somewhere in between fast food and sit down, even though it is a food truck. There are an array of menu options but the classics are the “Juicy Lucy” and “Blue Cheeseburger”, one of which we tried and was phenomenal, the Juicy Lucy, made out of 50/50 blend (brisket to ground beef). The buns are brought in from Pennsylvania (potato-based buns). Alon caters to Vegans also. I was not able to try the Reuben, but I look forward to the next time I visit and bringing more friends with me to support this business as I want to see Alon turn this place into another location. Dripping Springs?! I had the Santa Fe Burger and I asked to have it without Mayo… Alon insisted I try the special sauce and of course I obliged. If I would have known better I would have asked for a second patty to complete my burger experience. After I kept complimenting the food, he told me the 5-piece crispy wings are off the charts and I’m going to call him a liar just so I can come back to be proven wrong. The empanadas (50/50 also) have so much flavor and the chimichurri makes a great accomplice to this murder. Right now, I just wish I had a scoop of vanilla ice cream to accompany this peach pie, (made from scratch) as I finish this review and look at how full my belly is. God Bless the United States of America.
Went by this place for the first time & the food was amazing! Got a Santa Fe burger & also some wings. They each came with a side so I got the fries & onion rings. The delicious burger had a mild kick to it, but not over-the-top spicy. The wings were big! These aren’t your yardbird size wangs. I’d recommend you give them a try. You can see my half eaten burger in the pic. 🙂 They’re set up across from Buccee’s near the kid soccer fields. The owner was nice as well. Thanks for the grub Alon!
Chef Alone has the best burgers we have ever had and I’m being serious. I’m a Chef from Louisiana so I hold my standards high. I ordered the Blue Cheeseburger and topped it with Brisket, my Husband ordered the Juicy Lucy and my Friend ordered the two pound hotdog topped with brisket. The fries were just as good as the burger! He makes everything from scratch. Its fresh as can be and LOADED with flavor. I could tell how passionate he was and the quality speaks for itself!!
Scratch made comfort food I had the Boss with sauerkraut with delicious hand cut fries with yummy added. The pickles are crisp and the meat was 💯 pure beef. The service was kind with attention to detail..I will return for other menu items👌
Our last day in Texas decided to try International Grub ! So sad I didn’t try it sooner because it was so good! I don’t normally eat bone in chicken because I always feel like it’s fatty and never crispy enough. Today I was proved wrong ! This was the crispiest and still juicy tender chickens I’ve ever had ! I got a level 5 hot ( if you like hot stuff I would suggest a higher one, this had great flavor with some tang though !) The fries are homemade and fresh also! I also go the peach whiskey bbq and garlic parm sauce ( and of course ranch). Honestly nothing needed sauce because it was all ready so full of flavor but both sauces where never good! I will say if you don’t like salty things you may way to ask for light salt or something. Overall, food was top notch and service was great! He was very nice, and made sure to get me exactly what I wanted ! 10/10 recommend!!
It is great to see International Grub back on the map again with a new expanded kitchen in a brand new location. The food quality has not wavered a bit, and Alon's vivaciousness and friendlyness make this food truck a great place to grab a meal. I spent an afternoon with my Father visiting from Florida, it was a bit brisk outside with a calm breeze, but not too cold for picnic bench lunch. Items from our first visit to the Bastrop location: Dad: the Reuben Me: Jalapeno Cream Cheeseburger Both: The garlic Parmesan Fries Elvis pie Dad was verklempt. A few bites into his sandwich, he said he was now ruined for other Reubens. It was good enough to make him move to Texas. I'd say that pretty much sums it up. IG takes great care in tweaking the menu items to find excellence. My burger was excellent as well. I am a picky eater and took mine sans mustard and tomatoes, so you can add the asterisk to my review here because I'm outside the official menu, but it was authentically great, with solid flavorful heat from the jalapeno nestled soothingly on a bed of cream cheese. The sesame seed bun was crispy and thin right off the flattop, adding a little nutty crunchy bookend to the juicy spicy core. The fries are a signature at IG. Not at all an afterthought, like many places. It feels like they were toiled over to get them to Nirvana. They are crispy and well seasoned, garlicky with the tangy cheesey Parmesan goodness in each bite. The only challenge is having enough capacity to stuff in more fries. Let's talk about pie. The King is hanging around Pike Street. The Elvis pie is really a notable item. It's an assembly of peanut butter, chocolate, banana and sin. Really delicious and I'm sure if mister Presley were here to enjoy it, he probably eat enough of them to have another massive coronary. If it means expiring on the throne in Graceland, at least you'll expire happily. I docked a point for atmosphere, only because there are times when getting your meal to go is the only option because the dining room is picnic tables on grass. IG isn't perfect and it's not really ABOUT atmosphere, it's about a man sweating the details to bring you food that he loves to share from all corners of the globe. There is passion behind his grub, and it shows. I'll give IG half that point back because the soundtrack of our meal was the Earth, Wind, and Fire playlist. Do you remember? The twenty first night of September? I bet it was delicious
Amazingly good. AmaZaZing! Best brisket I've ever had. One of the best burgers I've ever had, and fantastic garlic parmesam fries. The burger is half brisket half ground beef,100% delicious. Fresh Seriously. Super friendly owner and staff. So far out of any ecpectations we had. Sublime desserts too. Chocolate Tres Leches and Italian Wedding Cake are pictured.
This place is the BEST. I’ve had a handful of meals now and everything has been phenomenal. Alon is the owner and if you get a chance to chat with him you will realize why the food is so good. He’s so passionate about what he does!
We live right off of Church Street and finally had the chance to walk over and try it out. Fantastic and friendly service. We had the gourmet hot dogs, wings, grilled cheese, and of course the fries. Everything was super tasty, with an amazingly excellent presentation. The kiddos had fun running around and devoured their hot dogs, which is a win as it’s hard to find anything 3 year olds actually enjoy. If you’re downtown Bastrop, I would definitely recommend checking out International grub! Winery and hobby shop are right across the street for post lunch time shenanigans! 10/10 would recommend!
Awesome truck. Fig grilled cheese & seasoned fries - delicious
This is a must try in Austin! Alon and his wife are incredibly talented chefs and their passion for high quality, homemade food shows in each and every dish they made. Our absolute favorite was the etoufee (which came with a large serving of FRESH cornbread!) but we also had the Chinese dumplings and brisket tacos, which were both excellent. We wish we had room to try even more! Such a fun spot and highly recommend!
Amazing place to eat. Definitely the best fries in Bastrop. Must try the chicken wings, desserts, and hot dogs. Outstanding service always fast and friendly and always hits the spot.
Alon uses fresh ingredients and makes it to order. Everything I have eaten here has been phenomenal! It takes a little time. But it is well worth the wait!
Great location, food, people and hospitality. Tried a little bit of everything and everything was 10/10. You can taste how much pride & effort goes into every bite! Go once & you’ll become a repeat customer for sure.

If you're in Bastrop and want a good place to eat we recommend the International Grub food truck. All ingredients are made from scratch. Hamburger was half brisket and half hamburger infused with swiss cheese. So delectably delicious!!! He marinades the meat for 72 hours!! The fries have 7 seasonings on it. Mmmmm scrumptious!!!! He even makes the pickles and they are spicy and delicious!!
This place serves so damn good food! I can't even take pictures because we ate all of it so fast even though they were big portions, it was hard to stop. May be a wait depending on how busy they are but I guarantee it's worth the wait!
First visit today, for lunch, but it WON'T be the last. This man is a freaking GENIUS with food-- I got the Western Bourbon burger and it was so good I had to share it with my husband so I could get him to take me there more often. We both LOVED it. If you're ever in downtown Bastrop, go give his food a try-- you WON'T be disappointed.
Holy cow, that was incredible, food!! I love the passion and intentionality of the owner as well🥰 Fig and bree grilled cheese on sourdough and the hot dog, yummy! Wish more restaurants took pride these days in what they serve the way this man does.

Seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had, fries were great too. Definitely check this place out.
Very nice owners. Super friendly. Good food. Really loved the opinion rings. Had the Juicy Lucy burger. . Was good. I wasn't that hungry so didn't eat it all. Nice stop though . Plenty of picnic tables. I'm sure they'll ad umbrellas soon. It's getting hot. Just to share my personal opinion , this is just me, I prefer less flavors on my meat other than salt and pepper. Everything was well seasoned, loved the fresh parsley on the fries. I personally don't do onion power and garlic powders or other powdered seasonings at all because the taste stays all day for me. There was some of that on the meat , and I think the fries and the dipping sauce well seasoned so that's a lot of seasonings. I know Others love that but I'm one of those who just needs less because I end up not being able to taste the meat over the seasonings, and then burping powered garlic or whatever all day. BUT! My review is in favor of this place. Nothing was bad at all. Worth the stop.

Got the Reuben. Was too soggy to eat after getting it in a to-go container. Was only about 7 minutes after picking it up that i ate it. Already too soggy. Asked to try the “aioli” was told it was already in the bag, but what was put in the bag was the (buffalo wild wings) garlic Parmesan sauce. He insisted that this is what I wanted, not the aioli. He kept talking over me to the point it was frustrating and annoying that i just walked off. I am 99.9% sure their “garlic Parmesan sauce” is the Buffalo Wild Wing sauce. Wanted to try this place for a while and was disappointed by the service and the quality.
