Aji 53 is a hidden gem right on Main Street Bay Shore ,the staff is always a pleasure to be around . We’ve gone there for years and have never been disappointed. The food selection is phenomenal for a great price

Aji 53 never ceases to please me. Even their takeout is prompt and perfect. The fish is always fresh, the rolls are beyond mind blowing and the presentation is top notch. Hands down my favorite flavors for all the dressings and condiments, just delicious through and through! Enjoy!

Not my favorite cuisine but this place was “recommended” by my girl. Fellas, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do lol but this place ain’t bad. She was happy - now I’ll soon be happy 😂

Just ok. Not authentic Japanese. Two stars for the sushi bar service. All the chefs talking amongst themselves in Chinese. Seems customers are invisible. Cooked fish was dry but nigiri was ok. Prices were reasonable.

Food was decent, if your looking for a quick bite to eat then it's good. Service took a little longer than expected to receive soda and our meals. The interior had 2 bars and seems like a chill spot.c

Good place for Chinese sushi. Place is clean and fish is fresh. If you’re not a true sushi lover you wouldn’t know the difference between authentic Japanese sushi and Chinese sushi. This restaurant is a great starting point if you never had sushi before.

Place is part of a chain Japanese restaurant. However I find the fish is not as fresh as Sashimi should be. So, you need a strong stomach and immunity to NOT to get sick afterwards. Quantity is small or the fish is sliced too thin. Parking is hectic. Either find a street parking depend on your luck. Or find a free back street parking then has to walk a bit. Or pay to park at public parking lots. Anyways not good for someone with mobility issues.

We sat for lunch at Aji , we were constantly forgotten. We had 6 people, some orders were incorrect, and food allergies were ignored. People did not get salads, people who were allergic to mushrooms received mushrooms in their dish. Had to wait for drinks when we saw a waitress other wise we did not see anyone. One meal was under cooked beside the other returned because of the mushrooms. It took over 25 minutes to redo the order. We felt uncomfortable as we were a bother because NO one checked on us . Aji seems to have issues taking care of customers , no one apologized for the issues but when payment was requested they asked "are you ready to pay" . I would not eat unless your ready for complications . Lunch was NOT worth it!!

I am a big fan of sushi but this sushi place isn’t great. The Sushi has a stale flavor and I found a piece of hair on the sushi. I called the restaurant to let them know. Please check before you give out food for pick up.
