An epic Omakase experience in the heart of Belgravia. There are two seatings per night, we went for the second seating at 20:30 which comprises 20 courses and takes a leisurely 2.5+ hours. Delicately flavoured small plates of fish are interspersed with individual nigiris, all carefully created by the masterful Jan. The Omakase space can seat up to six people, but due to its linear shape, is best suited for couples or two friends dining together. Trudy the Maitre d’Hotel takes care of her guests like family. You can wash all the food down with a small but wide ranging wine list including some great sakes. We had a wonderful Junmai Daiginjo.
My return visit to Fuji Grill at the Beaverbrook Townhouse, this time to celebrate my 1st anniversary with my boyfriend, reaffirmed my admiration for this remarkable dining establishment. Having enjoyed a wonderful experience here a few years ago with a friend, I was eager to come back. The location itself is lovely, offering a sophisticated and serene atmosphere perfect for a special occasion. They have recently updated the omakase tasting menù and the wagyu temaki and the o-toro were exceptional—so much so that we couldn’t resist ordering more. The staff at Fuji Grill deserves special mention. Their kindness and attentiveness made our evening truly memorable. Not only did they all wish us a happy anniversary, but they also surprised us with a delightful anniversary dessert at the end of our meal. This thoughtful gesture added a personal touch to our dining experience. In summary, the Fuji Grill remains a top choice for anyone seeking exquisite food and impeccable service in a lovely setting. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a fantastic omakase experience.
This a truly hidden gem, located inside the beaverbrook hotel, this restaurant really blew my mind. The wagyu, the chicken, the appetizers, and the sushi, all incredible according to everyone on the table. We enjoyed some lovely Sake and Rose, as well as a lovely glass of whiskey at the end. The place was relatively quiet and empty, we got a lovely table under the sunlight, highly recommended table. Just flagging that some bottles on the drinks menu are only available to members, was a bit disappointed, but overall excellent!!
Great experience with gourmet type dining: the interiors are really well made, more of a very comfortable living room than a restaurant, with time going by you feel the urge to stay for longer. Service was impressive, our waiter was a personality, with his signature white-border vest, and so were his female colleague and the spirits master and the reception lady, all of them very likeable and natural guys. The food is delicious and was a revelation. If you haven‘t eaten in days, this is not the place. It is about taste here, with a variety of dishes on the list. Great desserts too. We left with a smile on our faces.
The Fuji Grill is becoming more and more popular. The cosy, boothed bar attracts a smart crowd for cocktails and the restaurant has a beautiful Japanese inspired decor. I've always found the service first class. The evening menu is (consequently) sushi and Japanese dishes. But I love to go here for breakfast.
My lunch at The Fuji Grill in Beaverbrook Town House was a remarkable experience. The sushi is exceptionally fresh and unique, truly incomparable. The restaurant's calm, privateclub-like atmosphere and convenient location enhance the dining experience. Additionally, the friendly and attentive waiters add to the overall excellence. Highly recommended for a top-notch sushi lunch.
Absolutely top class service. It's not often that you get your standards recalibrated by a dining experience, but this is one of those times. Spectacular food and superb service, above and beyond what I'd consider normal for a dining experience. 11/10.
Very nice place! The food and drinks was very good and the prices are fair for the quality!
Exceeded expectations for sure, Omakase menu was very delicious.
A lovely dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday while visiting London. The Japanese dishes were unique and delicious, and we ate a variety of the charcoal grill dishes like chicken, lamb and vegetables along with the temaki sushi, the dumplings were also yum! The waiter was so nice and the atmosphere was perfect. A little lavish but worth it.
Truly hidden gem, the best rice pudding I ever tasted in my life. UNBELIEVABLE!
Stunning. A world-class experience.
Hidden Gem! Excellent
nice but a little bit expensive
Excellent
De très loins les meilleurs sushis que nous ayant mangé, les associations de saveur sont recherchées et surprenantes, de plus, le personnel est très professionnel, aimable et au petits soins. Je recommande vivement.
Great drinks and food!
Highly recommended if you’re in London. Try the Bento box 🍱
😁😁😁
Don’t like vegetable but the spinach salad might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten
Soooooo good!!!! Can’t wait to go back
Beautiful location, great food, excellent service.
Fine balance - casual ambiance with seriously good food, Japanese Omakase mixed with western ingredients
Amazing experience, Jan was great and sushi exemplary
Absolute gem - best Omakase in London
Worth a stop if you stay in the hotel or not!
Good excellent work 👏
Nothing special really. Very uncomfortable furniture in cabins.Amateurish service.
Update - the bento box at lunch needs a bit of improvement. The sushi roll is sooo bad in the box - It’s like veggies wrapped in cabbage! At least use seaweed like why it’s sooo bad I left it. Steak was good but a bit fatty. Love it here ! Such good sushi rolls but bring back the shrimp tempura !
Missing items in the menu. I felt the waiter was overloaded. Took time to take orders, however, very polite. Will be back and looking forward to see improvement
Really good meal - we had the pre-theatre - of Japanese-inspired dishes with a Western twist. Good service and a good atmosphere. Despite a pre-theatre menu, we ended up having to have our dessert boxed up so we get to the nearby Cadogan Hall in time. Really well worth a visit though it is expensive.
Excellent people are excellent job
Nothing special at all. Nice personnel. Bed sake choice and nothing interesting in wine list.
A disappointing experience . My daughter is celiac and they make no allowance for this- it was all very embarrassing as every dish she requested was met with “no” or “full of gluten!” There was no help or guidance from our waitress at all- which sadly left my daughter embarrassed and in tears - and hungry!!!!!
I found this restaurant on the Michelin guide website. It should not be there. The food was oooo-kay. A bit of fusion injected into your traditional, well-respected Japanese Cuisine. BUT miso soup was waaaay to salty; tuna sashimi triplet set was absolutely the worst I have ever tried in London - I can understand that tapasisch formula forces the tuna slices to be very small but it's the fact akami turned out to be the star of the show is the most perplexing! both chutoro and otoro were of very poor quality and nowhere near to what many other (not listed on Michelin website) Japanese restaurants serve in London as a default Japanese pickles were amazing. Wagyu was pretty good. So was Spicy lamb, seabass and broccoli. Rice was okay, but no fanfares. And then there is a service... When we sat down, for ~15mins no one offered us any drink When the waitress finally came over, she just wanted to take our food order, but then my wife asked if we could have some water first... Oops. Since we started talking drink, the lady asked what would we like to drink? I asked what champagnes they have and she said Moët (& Chandon). I asked what other champagnes they have. Turned out that Moët is the only one they offered per glass. So, I ordered it. So I thought. The food started arriving and we eventually consumed most of what we ordered. At that stage my Moët still didn't arrive so when a diferent waiter started cleaning our table I asked him to cancel the Moët order since I was not served and we were now finishing our meal. A few minutes later the main waitress came over and kinda apologized for misunderstanding the Moët order, and asked if I still want a glass 'on the house'. Okay, not a big deal, but at that stage I was not in the mood anymore, so I declined. The 'diferent waiter ' I mentioned above started cleaning our table at the end of the meal - at some stage he decided to use my serviette to clean the table food spills -- on the way he almost dropped the water bottle that was in his way... The main waitress did replace our plates a few times, but she has never taken an initative to clean up table food spills before placing a new plate in front of us. I literally saw her putting the plate in a place where I dropped some food before. When we finally finished the meal, I asked for the bill. It arrived pretty quickly, but so did another dude who brought the terminal to our table so fast, that I didn't really have a chance to fully review the bill. It was a weird experience.
Great ambiance, sushi is just ok
First of all, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable, the menu is very complicated and hard to understand, the portions are unbelievably small for the price and completely tasteless. Also, I started feeling nauseous while eating and felt sick the whole day. Other than that, the waiters were quite attentive.
Ordered a £33+ bento lunch set. Portion is sooo small!! Only 4 very small pieces of sushi (size of half a finger) and 3 very small pieces of sashimi and one tiny temaki. Forgot to take picture!! Miso soup tastes like instant packet soup too. Sorry won’t be back.
Three of us ended up with severe stomach pain and illness after eating at this restaurant. We’ve reported it to them but haven’t had any updates yet. Avoid any fresh items (incl sushi) of eating there.
Very nice service
