⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a Texan and a true connoisseur of tequila, I can confidently say that Mode X Tequila Bistro delivers an exceptional dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, the service was top-notch, and the food—absolutely outstanding. I highly recommend the lamb, the flautas, and of course, the flaming queso—each dish was bursting with flavor and executed to perfection. The tequila selection was impressive, making for a well-rounded culinary adventure. We had an amazing waiter Martin! If you’re looking for a place that offers high-quality food, an amazing ambiance, and an unforgettable experience, Mode X Tequila Bistro is a must-visit! Can’t wait to return.

I went with my sister, and we started off with the queso fuego as our appetizer, and it was presented beautifully. Wasn't too hot, and the taste was great. We then got the Marg Flight, which was also presented amazingly. They all tasted superb. My personal fave was the strawberry Marg. Hers was the pineapple :). I got the Carnitas dish and it was amazing, 10/10 on the taste and presentation. I would love to go again one day.

This place is amazing! It’s our favorite date night place, and it’s right across from the movie theater. Everybody there is so nice, the atmosphere is amazing. The whole place is beautiful. The food is the best Mexican food that we’ve ever had! The prices are amazing for the food that you get which is off the charts great. It’s the best food, service, atmosphere! Every single time!

Everything here was so good!! The drinks here are well made and the flight was worth a try! Any part of the menu that you eat is going to be good, but personally I thought the desserts tasted the best! I recommend this place as a nice date or for celebration!!

Great food, strong drinks, wonderful service and atmosphere! We will definitely be back. The margarita flight was really strong our favorites were the mango and peach. Nachos and tacos were delicious.

Had a nice dinner with friends. The drinks and service were the star of the night. The food was great too. I had steak tacos, but members of my party enjoyed a variety of the meals. No one had anything negative to say. They're tequila angel drinks are fabulous.

We’ve been waiting for Mode X to open and we weren’t disappointed! We sat at the bar and our server, Eliza, and the manager, Brian, were so friendly and fun! Before I even ordered Brian gave me a complimentary shot. And they both made recommendations throughout the evening. The chicken wings were amazing! Fried but then touched to the grill for a very satisfying crunch but still juicy tender meat. The guacamole and queso were both great, especially if you add a little hot sauce. Flautas and Tacos Tradicionales were also delicious. I do wish they had a spicier hot sauce that wasn’t chipotle flavored though. We combined the regular salsa with the spicy chipotle salso and that met our heat needs but sometimes you aren’t in the mood for chipotle. The salsa verde was also good though. After a kind of disappointing avocado margarita (the avocado dampens the brightness of the lime and tequila leaving an underwhelming and unattractive drink) I had a craving for a mezcal paloma, which both tasted good and looked beautiful. However the only mezcal I was offered was $23 a shot. I’m pretty sure that a tequila bistro probably has different price point mezcals but, like I said, it did make for a great drink! Next time I’ll inquire more about selection. I think we came in on a Wednesday evening and I was surprised it wasn’t busier. My guess is when people discover this place it will pick up because the patio is great and the bar is huge. From the service and friendliness alone I’d go here over Condados any day.

We stumbled on this place when we were parking at the Greene and decided to try it out. We didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night but didn't have to wait long. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable as they helped us navigate the menu. We ordered the grilled chicken nachos and they were incredible. We only ordered one entree for the two of us since the nachos were such a hefty app. We went with the Carne asada. It was so tender and flavorful! We will definitely be back!

Stopped in for drinks on a busy Sunday night at the Greene. The service was incredible, and the atmosphere inside was very modern and lively. Our two drinks were excellent!! The house margarita (1948) was one of the best we’ve ever had, and the Mango Mezcal was a perfect blend of aromas and flavors. We will absolutely be coming back soon!

First time checking this place out since it changed from bar Louie. The place has some great potential. They have a huge tequila selection to choose from as well as some tasty food. I ended up trying the elote which is one cob and the tequila pasta. My only negative was the elote came out pretty cold but still tasted good. Service was a bit hit and miss from the bar tenders (we sat at the bar) but nothing bad. Great place for a date night or group of friends.

I am of Mexican American heritage, and grew up in a strong Hispanic culture where food is good was cooked with passion and love. This place brings it all back to me. Since I now live in Dayton OH, I had given up. We came today to celebrate my husband's birthday, and everything was AMAZING. Amazing restaurant!! The service was phenomenal. Scott the manager was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to go over the menu and the background of the restaurant itself. Omar was our server and was great as well. We will definitely be back! Seriously the best margaritas we have ever had.

It was a great experience. I honestly really love this place and have become a regular. The host did a great job getting us to our seats quickly and gave us a great table with a nice view of the Greene and the restaurant . Exceptional service with amazing food. Definitely will come again.

Everything about this place was phenomenal! We went to celebrate our birthdays. There were 13 of us and from start to finish, I was impressed. We had many different menu items, flaming cheese dip, guacamole, elote, tacos, enchiladas, tres leches, and more. Our server Victor was truly amazing. He was attentive, professional, and fun. He made this experience even better! We will ask for him next time! The food/drinks, service, and atmosphere were all incredible. I call this the trifecta. It is very hard to achieve all of these in one place, but Mode X succeeded. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Absolutely delicious meals presented with beautiful artistic flare. Wonderful atmosphere, able to have conversation at your table without loud music or chatter from other guest. Servers were the best and do attentive to or needs. Priced very fair for the luxury feel of this restaurant. Highly recommend.

When I stand outside of Condado Taco I silently weep that it’s so busy and those people could just go two restaurants down for a true culinary experience. We have been following the owners around from all of their restaurants and absolutely love Mode X! Last night we had one of the best appetizers ever, their bread tray. Who would have though? Mind blowing! Give them a try!

This place is incredible, strip.is like butter! Super accommodating to my husband's tomato allergy. 10/10 from service to food

This place is very underrated. I don’t think they do enough marketing to get the word out, but the service, food, cleanliness, and everything are always great. The drinks are awesome, (get the 1948 margarita!!) the shrimp tacos and chicken tacos are super flavorful and everything is always very fresh. No canned/jarred jalapeños or pre-shredded cheese. The staff is always very polite and extremely attentive. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend you do! Great for a date night or just casual lunch or dinner.

I don’t normally write reviews on Google, but I was so pleasantly pleased with my experience at Mode X, I wanted to add a word of encouragement for others to give this restaurant a try. Every component of my meal, from the wonderful texture of the bread-and-butter appetizer to the creamy ice cream that came with the delicious carrot cake, was well-crafted and perfect. My wife and I could not stop talking about it. It has been years since every course of a restaurant meal was as enjoyable as our experience at Mode X.

Outstanding food.....Totally wasn't expecting to love the menu as much as I did. I had the chicken pastore tacos and an appetizer of guac and queso del fuego ......delicious! My bourbon/passion fruit cocktail was also delish! We ate outside which can be noisy with the Greene traffic but weather was beautiful. Zach our server was excellent and made some great reccomendations!

Most underrated restaurant in Dayton. The food is great. The service is exceptional. Staff is very friendly. They have the best selection of tequila in town and some fine bourbon as well.

Best dining experience I've ever had. My wife took me there for my birthday and we ordered nothing but appetizers and three desserts! Lol The food was perfectly plated, we received five star service. Can't wait to go back!

Visited July 31, 2022, first time Great: the decor and atmosphere were really cool. There fries are super crispy and big. My friend said helis burger would've been better with a sauce. The waitress was nice. I would go back to try their other food, but they are a bit pricey.

A very cheek place, stopped in here for the first time and was excited to try it out! Started with bacon wrapped jalapeños which were delicious! But a bit small portion wise. Luckily enough my friend ordered some spicy queso (which was delicious) and shared some with me. I had the enchiladas and they hit the spot! The only qualm was the follow up service was a bit slow, like sitting chatting for about 40 minutes until our server asked if we wanted the checks. But overall a good experience!

Really had a great time here. Amazing Experience. Paloma went well with the Sliders and quesadillas. The Tacos Brielle (sp?) with the dipping sauce was full of flavor. Ended the evening with a wonderful Mescal. Will definitely go back to try rest of the menu.

My daughter invited us to Mode X Tequila Bistro to celebrate her 22nd birthday. I did not realize until we arrived that this place was the old Bar Louie's at The Greene. The place looks revamped, nice, and elegant. The greeter noticed I had a cake and immediately took it and placed it in the refrigerator. I was the first person to arrive at the party out of 12. The artwork is very beautiful. It was a Friday night at 7 pm. We had plenty of time to figure out what we wanted to eat. The waitress brought drinks out quickly, but the food took a very long time. Some food and drink orders were mixed up. Instead of steak, they make a chicken burrito. Instead of Mexican rice, they brought white rice. The food was packed full of flavor. They definitely took their time to cook the food, but it would have saved some time if all the orders were correct. When it was time to say happy birthday, they brought the cake out with two sparklers on it. My daughter was so excited. She didn't know if I had brought the ice cream cake. Her smile warmed my soul. We had great laughs in a delightful environment. I recommend Carne Asada, Street Corn, and Queso Fuego. I will visit again to see if the service is better with a smaller party. Thank you

Interesting (1st and most likely last) dining experience... Minutes prior to entering the establishment, I looked over the menu on their official website. When I sat down and was trying to locate the items of interest, they were not there. The menu was completely different!!! Server was unaware of the beverages they offered. Manager was in and out vaping by the entry or chatting with the hostesses... I found it both distracting and unprofessional. Food was decent, but EXTREMELY overpriced!!! Final bill for 1 entree (enchiladas) and Iced tea... $28!!!

A good place in the Green. The ambiance and service was great. A good place for date night. A modern Mexican cuisine. I would highly recommend chicken wings (5/5) and Elote (5/5). Both were good. I liked the option of getting individual tacos rather than 3 of the same ones. But some of them are just ok. These are our favorites 1. B You Taco. The Birria taco was not great. The meat pieces were too big and was chewy. We tried Ghost Taco but it was super super spicy. I highly caution getting it as my tolerance for spicy is likely on the higher end and I struggled to even finish the taco. The tres leches cake was very good. Overall a very decent place.

Dinner and drinks were both very good. I would say reasonably priced for what you are getting. We were offered still or sparkling water before we could look at our menus. I expected an extra charge for sparkling but I didn’t expect to pay $20 for 2 San Pellegrinos. I would come back but I would stay clear of the hugely overpriced water that isn’t listed anywhere.

First it’s winter. There are many windows. Which is normally nice however the restaurant is freezing. Seating is not great. You are sitting on top of other parties. Ordered tacos with chicken in place of steak. Awful…chicken was dry and tough. My daughter ordered enchiladas and said they were ok. My husband ordered the hamburger. It was by far the best out of all three meals. The drinks are fun. But over all very expensive for something I could care less if I ever have again. Bummer as it’s a cute place.

Decided to give this place a try for a date night. Arrived. Noticed it wasn't that busy. Little slow to get sat, no big deal. After sitting not one person acknowledged us until I asked where our server was (40 minutes) ordered drinks, that took another 15 minutes. Decided not to eat because we were already behind for what i had planned and the check had to be asked for from someone else. If this is the standard I'll resort to not coming back.
