An ideal place to eat on the road. We were returning from Playa de las Catedrales to Santiago. We found it by chance, and it was a great choice. The food was plentiful and delicious, with quality ingredients. And the service was fantastic.

Very, very good, really. It was late, almost 4 p.m., and yet they welcomed us with a smile and a spectacular meal, from the mixed salad to the entrecote and prawns, all of the highest quality, lettuce, tomato, potatoes, etc. We came because we were passing by, but they already have a new customer. By the way, the filloas are amazing. Top waiters.

The property is the quietest at which we've stayed biking from Burgos to Santiago de Compostela. I'll get back to that. The common area is well designed, open, well-lighted and airy. Like nearly all properties where we've traveled, the property is spotless, in like new condition. And the location is perfect, a few minutes ' bike ride from Villalba, which I found, 5 yrs ago, too congested with drivers pressing close beside me when passing, like in the US. I have dealt with Javier, who owns or manages the hotel/restaurant. Our relationship is defined by trust. I told him the night we would need a room,band he said he'd have one. I didn't ask for the rate, and he didn't ask for a credit card. We arrived this afternoon. Javier had informed me that the restaurant was closed on Mondays. As we seem to be the only guests in the hotel, perhaps it is too. Nonetheless, on his day off, Javier arrived at the property, prepared us 4 ham and cheese grilled sandwiches (and a large bottle of cold water), and checked us in. It mattered not a bit that he spoke no English and we no Spanish; we both had our cellphones set to Google translate, but we mostly understood each bother without the useful app. Trust. As I tapped my card, I noticed the room charge. 80eur. Quite reasonable. Javier never charged me for the sandwiches and water. I found a 10eur notes and gave it to him. I asked, enough? We both laughed. And now we are the sole occupants of this lovely property until breakfast tomorrow morning. If you can, spend a night at this property.

We had the set menu (€14.50 + €2 supplement) on the restaurant's terrace since they wouldn't let us bring our dog inside. The service was very good (friendly and efficient), and the food was very good (especially the seafood soup, the roasted pork knuckle, and the cheesecake – though the portion was a bit small). Many dishes on the set menu had an extra charge.

We come here for lunch. Last year we were in the "special" hall where I think they serve from the menu. But if you eat the set mean then it is another room. The service is good. Food is good if you are not a vegetarian. But if you are they try their best to accommodate you. I am one and had a good enough meal for me. My wife and her mother enjoyed their set meal.

the place is good, we went on a Saturday there was no menu we ordered things from the menu because of the capon days: they brought croquettes, beans and something else. SMALL QUANTITY, good material, VERY EXPENSIVE and we left hungry i don't know how it will be during the week

We went for lunch on a Sunday, so the place was packed. We need to wait for the table but being on Sunday and no reservation we can not complain. Once seated the service was kind and attentive but very slow due I guess to the amount of patrons that need to be served. Food was good in quality of the raw materials and neat portions, but the cooking and taste was below we would expect for the price we pay. The meat of my son come the table cold and we need to return to the grill to temper it, my wife haddock was good quality raw material and a big nice portion, but the cooking was "soulless" like potatoes and sauce just drop in without any relation to the other ingredients. I oder tunna, medium done and my portion was completely overcooked, so the nice fish was completely tasteless and dry. Definitively not worth what we pay for it. Next time in the area we will go the Parador if we are planning to expend this kind of money.

Excelente lugar para comer, personal muy atentos, servicio excelente, muy recomendable, lugar muy limpio, el lugar dispone de habitaciones, también es pensión. Un apunte nos sirvieron las zamburiñas con trocitos de jamón, es la primera vez que las pruebo de esa manera, tuvieron suerte que no era alérgico al jamón, si no tendrían que comunicarlo antes de servirlo ya que se tendrían que cambiar. Ración de carne escasa como se aprecia en foto.

Muy mal una media rodaja de pan y una parrillada de pescado crudada y con sabor a hollín la cual lo mandamos a pasar y tardaron tanto que ya las ganas de comer, todo muy mal, 80 euros tirados a la basura tomamos aguas, ya que no bebemos alcohol y sin postres porque se nos quitó el hambre de lo mal que taba todo.
