Really suggestive restaurant on Lake Maggiore. We had lunch on patio's restaurant and the view was unbelievable. You can enjoy lake fish and traditional Italian dishes with ingredients from all around Lake Maggiore.

Very characteristic restaurant facing the lake. We stopped here by combination (we found parking for the car) and, upon entering the restaurant, they diverted us to the outdoor tables facing the lake. Enviable and relaxing position. The mise en place is treated with fabric tablecloths. The wine glasses were adequate. Nice presentation of the dishes, but also of the bread. We chose the crispy octopus as an appetizer, served with mashed potatoes and black olive and celery powder. My host chose the marinated trout tartare with soy sauce and ginger, served with lime mayonnaise. Being a warm evening, we skipped the first course to enjoy a main course: for me Amberjack cooked on the skin served with daikon cream and black lumpfish roe. My host instead chose the Sea bass fillet, baked in the oven, served with carrot puree and sauteed spinach. To water the dinner we opted for a local wine; a Sparkling Cocchi brut Charmat method ... excellent choice for the evening. To finish the soft dessert with ice cream and for me an Amaro di Angera. Coffee. All for 120 €, an average price. The only drawback: if you decide for the view during dinner, bring a good supply of anti mosquito spray! Fortunately, the very kind staff provided us with a package that we used and passed on to the neighbors. We will be back ... maybe not on a very hot evening ...

We tried the set manu. The portion was small and tasted okay but not great. They have gulten free alternative but they are not so good compared to the normal menu.

We had the same experience as reviewer “KCAP Joint” below. Laughably self-deluded into believing it’s the Lake’s greatest dining establishment – arrogant and inattentive staff, tasty but unadventurous, miniscule portions for the price. After waiting for 45 minutes for our secondis, I am reminded by the waiter that “it’s not a beach bar that uses microwaves” (one of our dishes was tartare de boeuf). This all set to the background of intrusive mid-2000s british pop-rock blaring from the speakers. Avoid!

KCAP Joint

Highly overpriced and pretentious. Food was quite nice tasting but small quantities. Eaten better in other places in Belgirate and Stresa. Walked out still feeling hungry. Nice lake side view but got eaten to death by midges in evening. Waiter service slow and unfriendly - waited 1 hr for food.
