Sweetbeat has the best cheesecake I’ve ever had in my life - and even better, it’s vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free, how is that possible! I’m from NYC and have never found a better cheesecake, even the classic normal non-vegan ones. I came here as often as possible during my visit, often getting 2 slices and wolfing them down asap without too much guilt! Each slice is REALLY generous - it’s so awesome! The flavors are classic, such as berries or mango, and it’s all completely natural! The owner Leila is also the sweetest lady you’ll ever meet - I truly appreciate how thoughtful she is and she always has the biggest loveliest smile every time I see her! I’m going to miss this place so much! You must stop by here and try the many amazing options!

I’ve found very few good cafe lattes in Mexico but this one was really good (with soy milk). And the vegan cheesecake was delicious. I’m looking forward to going back for some vegan quesadillas! Lovely courtyard, relaxing place to sit for a while.

Amazing food, delicious organic coffee from a small farm, great deserts and a relaxing atmosphere in a beautiful garden. If you're a reader, it's a great place to sit, have a coffee and read; there's also a book exchange there. The staff is very friendly and quick in bringing your order, and if you have a celebration (or just a sweet tooth), ask for the owner's personalized cakes (vegan and gluten-free options available). I ordered my birthday cake there and it was a really pleasant and very delicious surprise.

Es un sitio 10/10. El patio es super agradable, al aire libre, con las plantitas, las florecitas encima de la mesa… Layla y su marido son emcantadores y ofrecen un servicio super atento y cercano. De beber ofrecen muchisimas bebidas orgánicas y naturales, buenísimas. Y la comida, buah! Every year when I visit San Cristóbal, I eat at Sweetbeat several times. I’ve tried so many dishes and they are consistently delicious. No junk food in this place! Wholesome food, they also have options for those with food intolerances. Hot cakes, crepes, yummy French Toast made with the own baked bread. Great homemade cakes and cookies for a sweet treat. Owners are bilingual and very helpful. Don’t miss this cute cafe, good music, beautiful plants and wifi.

Amazing garden space and great food/coffee. The best part is they customize drinks and food so well. I started drinking decaf and it was hard at times to find it in town. This place makes great decaf lattes that have strong coffee flavor (I also add an extra shot of decaf)! I love the smoked salmon toast, french toast, and BLT. Plus, the owner is constantly making new desserts from scratch with interesting flavors like tahini and rose. Owner is down to earth and friendly, and gives great service.

We found this cafe whilst walking around. The owner Layla is an amazing host and made us feel at home. They have a great menu with lots of good vegan options, the vegan hotcakes were incredible and the smoothies were really good too. And the vegan plate with hummus vegetables and home made bread was a real treat. We can’t wait to visit again and relax in the sun in their garden area.

Super cosy restaurant and very friendly staff. I surprised my boyfriend there with a gluten free lunch and they arranged everything perfectly and are very helpful. Came to Sweetbeat as I look for good coffee, light food and cozy space for work. Upon arrival I quickly realised that the photos on Google doesn’t do this place justice at all, it has a garden-like space with multiple seating areas, dotted with cute decorations and green plants. The owner Leila is very friendly and attentative, she also makes rich coffee and delicious crepes, refreshing fruit smoothies. Last but not least, this place has decent and stable wifi, essential for those who need internet.

Mi visita a este restaurant jardín fue un 10 de 10. Excelente ubicación, servicio bueno y un ambiente muy agradable para pasar un buen momento. Muy lindo para un buen desayuno, o ir por un café para pasar un buen rato. Mi recomendación personal son los paninos y las promociones que dejo en la imagen son por día así que el día que decidas ir podrás tener una buena promoción. Los precios no son tan baratos pero lo vale por la calidad.

I felt that the vegan options were a bit overpriced for how basic they were, like $170 pesos for a sandwich with avocado and mushrooms (it was fine). Not a good place for digital nomads since they only have 1 outlet in the restaurant and play pretty loud music. Internet was fine for video calls.

We loved the coffee there, the chocolate brownies were delicious… until we realized we couldn't pay by card (cash only). So we left our IDs behind, trying to find an ATM so we could get some cash. Strangely we didn't find an ATM that contained money, so we had to walk a long way just to find cash. We ended up going to a money changer to exchange our USD. 1. My advice, bring cash if you want to visit this cafe. 2. Or Cafes could perhaps start having card payment options…

The place is cozy and the food and service are good, nothing spectacular but in general it’s good, when I went they didn’t accept credit or debit cards.

We went here twice as a group. The first time it took 40-45 minutes for a chopped fruit plate. Today was worse - we waited nearly an hour and just left in the end. Poor service and expensive.
