Ristorante Bilacus was so good we came here twice—once for lunch and then dinner the following day. The staff is incredibly kind. The restaurant is located on a rooftop under a grape vine terrace. When I inquired about the grapes, the server pulled a few off the vines to allow us to try and explained the variety in such great detail. It was one of the few places in Bellagio where I felt like the staff was proud of the food and experience they were providing. For lunch, I recommend the burrata of course. The caserecce with fish sauce was delicious as well as the tagliolini with candied tomato sauce. For dinner the tagliolini with black truffle was fine, but on the plain side. The stars of the night are definitely their catch of the day and grilled meat of the day. They are large enough for 2-4. When I say large, I mean LARGE. There’s a beautiful presentation of the fish/meat before they debone and cut off to the side. They’re happy to let you record the deboning as it’s quite the spectacle. Highly recommend making a dinner reservation if you find yourself in the center of Bellagio!

We had amazing dinner at the Bilacus. Food was excellent (black truffle tagliolini was finger licking), service is great, their wine menu is very impressive. And cherry on the cake: we had a table overlooking the famous Bellagio staircase during sunset. Beautiful.

Loved our lunch at Bilacus. The food was incredible and the service as well. We loved every single dish, especially the Burrata, the ravioli, perfectly cooked fish, beef tartare and the pork with cheese. Amazing meal in Bellagio!

The meal was one of the best we had in Bellagio, a town not necessarily known for its food. The wait staff and service were friendly, welcoming, and professional. Highly recommend the seafood pasta, translated as fish pasta on the menu but loaded with all sorts of shrimp, mussels, and other assorted goodies. My partner had the duck breast and said it was delicious. I would have weighed in but he ate it before I could get a taste!

We had a great meal. This restaurant tends to be not as busy as some others close by (if you don’t know about it) because the amazing patio is hidden from view. They had a 2 or 3 course option with a lot of flexibility in how you pair the courses. Tons of nice wines. The wine I got by the glass was great (a local white) could be a bit cheaper would have been nice. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. As a bonus, they have a peakaboo view of the lake from a few tables and probably more shade in the summer when vines are green.

We had a wonderful evening and surprisingly one of the best steaks we have ever had in all of our travels, Peter Lugers of NYC included. I definitely was not expecting to find such a wonderful steak in Bellagio but it was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth! The service was wonderful as well and I would recommend if you are tired of pasta and pizza to give their meat of the day a try.

I really enjoyed our lunch at Bilacus while visiting Bellagio. Dining at the quiet and picturesque terrace, for lunch you can choose from 2courses or 3courses, served with a choice of drink(wine or a soft drink) and a dessert. Super friendly and attentive staff, who speaks fluent English, French and ofc Italian. The food was delicious, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. We had a good meal and lunch break before exploring the rest of the town.

Ristorante Bilacus is a must when visiting Bellagio on Lake Como. While the lunch menu is not particularly extensive the food is creative and absolutely delicious. There is a 2 or 3 course option depending on how hungry you are feeling. The wine list is extraordinary and one of the most extensive and varied I have ever seen. The sommelier selected the perfect wine to accompany our meal. The atmosphere is very relaxed and provides indoor and outdoor dining. The staff are friendly and spoke good English. Making a reservation is recommended.

Gnocchi to die for. Been here 2 times. Excellent service, huge selection of wines and good food. The tartare is one of the best I've ever had, a great salad with burrata and Sicilian shrimp, and the most incredibly delicious duck gnocchi I've ever had. A little pricey but absolutely worth it.

Fantastic service and delicious food. We waited for the restaurant to open at 19:00 as we didn’t have a reservation however managed to get a table easily. Albeit we visited in the “early season”. The staff are so attentive and had excellent knowledge of the menu which seems to change seasonally. We were seated in the “conservatory” with the heaters on and there is the option for inside or outside in the garden which looked lovely. The wine list is extensive! The food was all delicious, good portion sizes. We tried the egg and asparagus, beef tartare, lamb and pork belly. The meat was so tender and succulent. Would definitely recommend the ice cream with olive oil (liquid gold) and salt. There were little “freebies” throughout the meal such as an aubergine puree with Gorgonzola foam and homemade biscuits. 75€ per head. Vegetarian options limited.

Pranzo ottimo con piatti gustosi e ben preparati, staff preparato e molto cordiale, cantina ben fornita con ottimi vini. Terrazza sopra la più rinnomata salita Serbelloni nel bellissimo paese di Bellagio.

Trovata la location per caso grazie a Google, abbiamo prenotato(era di sabato 26 marzo). Complice la bella giornata il ristorante era pieno. Dispone di un terrazzo, pochi coperti mentre all'interno più disponibilità. Pensavamo di trovare un menù a base di pesce, o più vario ma ci sono poche scelte. Personalmente all'inizio volevo andare via in quanto in tutto il menù è presente il latte(sono intollerante). Lo scrivo non come critica ma per chi come me è intollerante potrebbe avere problemi di scelta. Alla fine si riesce a mangiare ma come sopra, il menù è limitante. Fatta questa premessa, ci tengo a precisare che si è mangiato bene, tutte le pietanze ordinate erano di ottima qualità, anche il vino, un nebbiolo del 2019 molto buono, così come anche la Grappa del Chianti eccezionale. Lo consiglio assolutamente e prenotate così potete mangiare sul terrazzo. Personale disponibile, gentile ed efficiente. Prezzi non bassi ma per la qualità offerta direi giusti, tenendo anche conto che vi trovate sul lago di Como. Date un'occhiata alle foto.

Nel complesso il ristorante partendo dal servizio funziona molto bene, l'attenzione focalizzata nei minimi dettagli. Quello che però non ci è piaciuto sono state le porzioni.....davvero ridotte! Sembrava più un menù di degustazione che un pranzo.....boh siamo usciti ancora affamati. Niente da dire allo chef davvero top! Per chi come me è appassionato di vini potrete curiosare l'enoteca con tanti vini in esposizione come anche i super alcolici.

The food and ambience were excellent — beautifully prepared dishes in a lovely setting. Unfortunately, the service was dismissive and entitled, which really took away from the experience. On top of that, we were charged €3 just for asking for an extra plate — not for splitting a dish, but simply for the plate itself. It felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. The wine list is enormous but almost unusable for non-locals; very few options are available by the glass, so you’re forced to rely entirely on the sommelier’s suggestions. Bellagio is a tourist hub, and it shows: the restaurant seems to rely on its location and assumes guests will tolerate this kind of treatment.

Great restaurant for lunchtime set menu for tourists in pretty garden setting. The food was great but in our experience, with dessert and wine included. The staff were unaccommodating for non-alcohol drinkers. We asked to receive soft drinks instead of wine and the staff responded stating that it would be an additional charge.

Visit 2: Returned because the last dinner was so good. This time, the food was a miss. Ordered the tomahawk steak and it was maybe Grade AA. The service was still outstanding! The staff all tried their best to make the best of it which was truly appreciated. This restaurant seems to specialize in fish dishes as the sea bass was excellent last time. The beef was, however, a huge miss. I would still go back again for the warm hospitality, fantastic pasta dishes and stellar wine selection. Visit 1: Outstanding!! Service is exquisite - there’s a team of professionals attending to every need. The food is absolutely stellar! Beautiful little restaurant with perfect fish and pasta dishes. An epic dining experience is Bellagio. Highly, highly recommend!

Siamo stati in questo ristorante di domenica incuriositi dal menu particolare e la possibilità di comporre il menu attraverso la scelta di 2 o 3 portate tra quello proposte. Appena arrivati il personale ci ha accolti in maniera molto gentile. Successivamente al momento dell’ordine il cameriere ha storto leggermente il muso quando abbiamo detto di non volere vino e da lì il suo comportamento è cambiato. Il cibo era ottimo, abbiamo provato: culaccia con burro alla nocciola, gnocchetti sardi con ragù di agnello e salsiccia davvero molto saporiti e coscia di faraone e filetto di maialino, anche questi davvero buoni. Alla fine del nostro pranzo, al momento del conto abbiamo chiesto la possibilità di dividere… ma alla nostra richiesta il cameriere si è dimostrato molto scocciato, facendoci capire che non poteva farlo anche se al giorno d’oggi mi sembra qualcosa di assurdo… dispiace dover mettere 3 stelle perché il cibo era davvero ottimo, ma il personale tutt’altro che gentile.

The restaurant was beautiful and the staff were great, but the food was very average. Would not recommend to someone looking for a culinary experience; the beef tartare was good but our other dishes lacked flavour.

Cibo mediocre. Risotto allo zafferano senza zafferano, gnocchi di bassissima qualità, costolette d’agnello al tartufo crude e senza tartufo, fish & chips senza fish ma con tanta polenta fritta. Personale gentile ma disattento. Prezzi in linea per essere a Bellagio ma decisamente alti per la qualità.

Porzioni molto ridotte e cibo mediocre. Per non parlare del conto: assolutamente eccessivo rispetto a quanto consumato. La mia compagna è celiaca e avevamo raccomandato particolare attenzione nella preparazione del risotto, che prevedeva acciughe fritte. Ci era stato riferito che erano impanate con farina di riso, ma con ogni probabilità sono state fritte in olio già utilizzato per altre preparazioni. Dopo il pranzo la mia compagna ha avuto una forte reazione compatibile con contaminazione da glutine e sta ancora male da diversi giorni. In presenza di celiachia, l’attenzione alla contaminazione è fondamentale.

Piatti assolutamente non all'altezza delle aspettative...Mi è stato proposto il piatto del giorno come se si trattasse di pesce fresco. Era semplicemente un filetto scongelato da una scatola simil Findus, cotto in maniera davvero mediocre. La burratina invece "pizzicava", indice di non freschezza del prodotto. Il personale è molto gentile.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years. Back then it was all about the great food, the beautiful garden, and the charm of the place. Fast forward to today — and suddenly we’re in what feels like the company canteen: food that makes you wonder if the chef quit mid-service, staff who treat friendliness as optional, and prices that seem to have been launched into orbit (tripled!). The “menu” is now just a couple of prefixed, standardized options — because apparently choice is overrated. And honestly? It now feels more like a fast-food chain than a real restaurant. The charm is gone, and the Italian soul that once made this place special has been lost forever. What was once the perfect insider tip for good food is now more of a caution sign: enter at your own risk. After 25 years of loyalty, we’ll be loyal somewhere else. Never again.

Despite the majority of positive reviews about this restaurant, avoid this place. Save your time and money. Not friendly hostess from the beginning. The patio was not heated even in cool weather and blankets were not provided. Bread was not warm and tastes like from a supermarket. No oil, no balsamic on the table. No tap water. Just bottled for extra money. Great wine list but really overpriced. Food is so so. I had polenta ravioli and regret that didn’t leave restaurant from the beginning. My husband did reservation a month ahead that is why I gave it a try. He had veal. I tried it was ok but nothing special. Everything you see on the photos + two beers was about 75 euros. Not bad for Bellagio but you can find there much better places and no need to reserve a table month ahead. Actually just 13 tables were taken mostly by tourists from USA.

Servicio molto professionale, bene informati di tutto el menu. Il cibo molto bueno e curato nei dettagli della presentazione e gusti.

Qualche mese fa decidiamo di andare in questo locale trovato online e con buone recensioni. Al momento dell’ordine la mia compagna fa presente di essere incinta e quindi di non poter mangiare pietanze crude, verdure non lavate in un certo modo ecc ecc. Ad un certo punto, dopo aver chiesto delucidazioni sul prezzemolo spolverato abbondantemente sopra una pietanza, il cameriere risponde con saccenza dicendo “signorina non siamo mica in una trattoria di Beirut, qui le verdure sono lavate”, totalmente ignaro del fatto che la toxoplasmosi non si evita lavando semplicemente le verdure con acqua!! Con questa affermazione hanno dimostrato una sensibilità e una professionalità che solo in un contesto turistico possono andar bene!!
