Breakfast all day from 7-7?! Horchata!? Fantastic tamales?!? Say less! I will be a frequent flyer here from now on!! Had Jorge's plate and it's absolutely a deal for the amount of delicious food you get! The horchata is the icing on the tamale!

I was craving a champurrado and tamales with the cold weather, and I found this gem on E T C Jetser Blvd. The service was outstanding, the owner is very kind and the food was so delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant it really tastes authentic.

I had chilaquiles, tamales and champurrado and they did not disappoint. Salsas are a bit spicy so go slow on them but they are super flavorful. Great spot for breakfast and lunch!

Ok, I want everyone to know this place has the best Tamales in Houston that I have found so far. My grandma used to make the best Tamales and I have been searching for Tamales that could taste as good as her. These Tamales are great because the owner uses the stock from the meat to flavor the Masa that wraps the meat! They also make the meat to masa 50/50 and that is important because its the perfect blend of meat to masa. You have to try this place, tell them its your first time and you can't wait to try a Tamale and the owner will personally let you try one and you will be hooked. Every flavor is delicious and there Salsa compliments them perfectly. On top of Tamales, their breakfast and lunch menu makes this a great place to eat and take home some amazing Tamales for you and your family to enjoy at home! Great place, great family oriented business and great people! Price is spot on!

I have been looking for great tamales and I have found them! The Tamale Joint at E TC Jester and W 34th Street is rhe place to go! The owner is very kind! My husband enjoyed their Chicken Enchiladas! We ate the chicken and pork tamales! You can watch sports with 4 TVs. You can have a beer! Family atmosphere! Ready to go back! Please give them some love! They have been there a little over 3.5 yrs! Thank you for good food!

I Stopped by today because I live in the area and my BIGGEST pregnancy craving has been tamales, I can honestly say ! These tamales satisfied my craving! I got half a dozen to try it out since first time buying from here the food was out before I was able to get my receipt I was very well surprised and the food was fresh and hot ! Tamales were delicious let alone the green salsa was impeccable, definitely loved their tamales. Consider me a new costumer! Because I will be stopping again soon 👏❤️

Stopped by for the forst time and I was not disappointed. Food and service was great! Had a chance to try their Champurrado (seasonal) and I could not stop drinking it - so delicious. I ordered the jorge special and it was filling. It would be nice if in the future they allow to purchase individual tamales of different flavors instead of 2 of the same flavor. Regardless, great experience. Will be coming again!

This place really blew me away with their authentic flavors! I recommend the Jorge’s plate that comes with two tamales, eggs, beans and potatoes perfect for brunch I had to ask if the tamales were home made because I could immediately tell since I am from Mexico! Prices were not bad at all very affordable. This will definitely be our new brunch spot :)

We Could decide what I wanted. We got the “ Jorge plate “ that comes with 2 tamales and a side. The chilaquiles and the American breakfast with chorizo and egg. It was delicious definitely going back when I’m on that side of town again.

Amazing tamales and breakfast tacos! Brought some into the office and everyone loved them. Fast and friendly service - really go above and beyond to curate a great experience. I ordered 20 tacos and a dozen tamales and they had it out in less that 10 min. Kinda wish I had been able to dine in since the inside of their restaurant was very pretty!!

I had the Jorge’s Breakfast, and it was delicious! Two flavorful tamales topped with scrambled eggs, served with refried beans and diced potatoes, every bite was satisfying. I added the green sauce for an extra kick, and it brought everything together so well. The food came out quickly, and the service was super friendly from start to finish. I’m definitely coming back to try more items on the menu!

My mom and I decided to try this place out for the first time. I wasn’t really hungry, but my mother was so we decided to share a plate. We opted for the 3 Tamales, rice, and beans plate. The tamales were a bit on the smaller size but enough to fill us both up. The menu is very reasonably priced. You do have to order by 1/2 or a dozen. They do not sell single tamales but the plate was a great deal at $8.99. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place! They opened up a whole new side and extended the restaurant for more patrons. They have a beautiful new mirror on the wall. I’m not sure if he was a manager, but his name was Jorge. My mom and I really enjoyed his company and he can tell he really really really loves his job! He was excited to help customers clean up tables and talk about the specialty of the tamales! Really nice guy. I will definitely be returning.

👍 This place is conveniently located near the TC Jester hike & bike trails. 🤜 The tamales are overpriced for their low quality, even when ordered by the half-dozen. That said, I understand the business likely has higher rent costs in this part of Houston. 👎 We ordered a half-dozen pork and beef tamales, but only pork tamales were brought to our table. After waiting quite a while for the beef tamales to appear, we had to ask about them, along with the salsa that should have come with the meal (more on that below). 👎 The beef tamales weren’t included because our order was taken incorrectly, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, we spoke clearly, and nothing was lost in translation. 👎 The tamales we did receive were not great. They also fell apart easily when using a fork. 👎 The tamales did not come with salsa. Salsa is a basic expectation with Tex-Mex/Latin food, yet none was provided. I searched the restaurant assuming there was a self-serve station, but there wasn’t. When I asked, I was told they charge extra for salsa. Charging for salsa, which should have came with the food, is inexcusable. 👍 The queso portion was generous. 👎 However, the queso was extremely runny. 👎 There were not enough chips to go with the queso, and given that basic items cost extra here, we were hesitant to ask for more. 👎 Customer service was poor. The restaurant was not busy, yet our order was taken incorrectly. At the very least, customers should be warned upfront about how unusual this place is regarding what does and does not come with the food. 🤜 Overall, you couldn’t pay me to come back to this restaurant.
