Great breakfast and for a good price. All food our group received was of high quality. Staff were excellent and made the few nights we had in the bar over a wedding trip very enjoyable. Will be back on my next trip.

Had the best experience food is gorgeous. Liam and Kate and all there staff couldn't have been more accommodating for our family for the entire week we visited , Kate went out of her way to make a special little girls birthday when we struggled to find a cake she made her day. Couldn't be more friendly gave great tips and advice for things to do with the children. Thanks again from us all

Arrived early hrs so got up feeling hungry. Read the reviews about this place and I was not disappointed. Full English breakfast really hit the spot. Came back for a spot of tea 4 pm bacon an cabbage with mash potato 👍 now having ice cream. Don’t miss this little gem for food and drink really good and welcoming, clean and tidy and really reasonable prices. Will I come back Hell yes just try stopping me.

What a fantastic bar. Walked in to one of the biggest bars in the area I've been to so far. Great atmosphere and very clean. It was like walking into a proper Irish Pub . Lovely real wood finish with solid oak tables to dine/drink. Not a chance of a wobbly table here😃. It was also SOOOO FESTIVE. Like Santas Grotto🎅🏼🧙‍♂️. Wonderful.!!. The new owners and staff are great people and very welcoming. We had Sunday lunch there. Good honest cooking and vfm. We had a dessert to follow of Apple pie and custard. Yummy!! There is also a large sunny and bright terrace facing the sea front. The Ha'penny Bridge is open every day including Xmas Day and offers a Xmas Day Lunch at a very reasonable €39 per head (children €15) under 5's I believe eat free on the Xmas menu. As residents we plan to be returning to this bar regularly and would definitely recommend to all.👍🏻😃

I usually head for a Spanish bar when in Spain but decided to have a change and went in, the staff, although very busy, were very nice, polite and soon remembered what I was drinking. I returned the next evening as there was live music in the evening and I wanted to eat and was greeted by the staff who remembered, not only what I was drinking but my name as well and the food was great.

A must stop for a irish breakfast or if you've a goo on ye for bacon and cabbage. Black pudding was lovely and proper tasty sausages. Nice cup of coffee too. Great spot. Great staff too.

I'm just sorry we didn't go here sooner. The food is the nicest we've had in week. We had the mixed platter chicken curry and chicken with pepper sauce. All beautiful. My youngest had the crepes for dessert and loved them. Will definitely be going back tomorrow before we head home.

Cannot complain at all, for an Irish bar you’re getting great food very late into the night, staff were all amazing, polite and fast. The live music, karioke and football all adds a great atmosphere. Very decent cooked breakfast. Nice sausages and rashers. Only issue is that they don't take card payments but there are signs showing that.

Not too bad used to go lots. Been again a couple of weeks ago and it was great, under new management, had a great meal. New management have really made a huge difference.

Mid-morning breakfast was fast, filling, pleasant, and reasonable. This is a CASH ONLY location. We were greeted in English and quickly took the seats we wanted. The large breakfast was extremely filling. We passed on the black sausage but the white sausage which is pleasantly spicy was interesting if not my personal favorite. We had to ask what was meant by white coffee but were pleased with the coffee and milk (café con leche) that arrived nice and hot. I would easily recommend for breakfast but cannot speak to the rest.

Decent food all round.good pub grub. The fry up was nice and tasty plus had fish and chips the next day which was grand...staff are friendly..they had music on when we visited on a saturday night.there was a lady playing lyrics from well known songs off a lap top and singing them. Karaoke without the screen showing the words..in saying that she was good..enjoyed it.. There was a fella dancing to some of the songs who was funny with his moves and getting some people involved... I'm giving it 4 stars because of the toilets.the floor was clean but the urinals need some fragrance cubes at the least...

Good place to watch a match even though the reception was very poor, kept cutting out so was frustrating to watch. Had a good atmosphere. We had food which was reasonable, mash was not good so would avoid if ordering.

A wonderful Irish bar just off the beach in Benalmádena. The time of visit the rugby was shown on large screens, there were a lot of Irish and later on Welsh merrymakers and the singer appointed to entertain the crowd was just brilliant. A beautiful experienced performer judged the crowd and the sound levels perfectly. We sat next to her stage and didn't need to raise our voices! Well done on the lovely family running the place. The food was perfectly Irish on the night, not great gourmet but that's not expected. Chips in fish and chips were a bit lumpy and cold but it was probably the busiest night of the year so we'll return for another taste 😉

It's OK, my mate was prepared to lead us on the 2 mile walk from our hotel to get a (nice) guiness. These Irish bars are 2 a penny (or ha'penny) as the case was, dotted around the town. Full of Brits like ourselves.

Nice food here. Little pricey on drinks . We left after our food as a senior barman was very rude to a Spanish lady who started working on her 1st night. She had been serving us and was very helpful looked after our every need. 👍 we didn't feel to comfortable after the incident

As a family of four decided to try here for breakfast specifically for a decent fry. Asked did we want to change anything on the menu as we ordered 2 large frys €7.50 pp and 2 kids sausage chips €5.00 pp and beans. Large fry consisted of 2 sausages 2 bacon 2 small fried eggs 2 small toast beans and a half beef tomato and added mushrooms extra €1.00 no black or white pudding and tea or coffee! Waiting to pay decided to get up and pay at the bar cash only. The inconvenience of it as having to leave to find an ATM which was out of order to look for another and a charge to use. If you want an "Irish bar" it does not have a feel to it whatsoever I wouldn't recommend

No proper food when we visited Sunday lunchtime. Only snacks were offered, expensive and not good. We will not go again. It was very nice last summer and no idea what has happened there 3.50 euros for a plate of overcooked chips

Place smells of a deep fat fryer even outside as kitchen vent pipe running across the outdoor seating area . Needs a total revamp and only takes cash for me cash ain't king anymore.

Nice food. Beer pricey compared to other bars nearby. Asked for the bill and the tray was practically thrown at me (it was busy but that's no excuse). Huge let down, they don't take credit/visa debit cards. Only bar I know in all my years coming to Spain that doesn't take a credit card. Interior looks great. Home from home but definitely needs a credit card machine

Not my favourite place in Benalmádena. When walking in, the place smells like very old frying oil, so we stayed away from the food. The red wine was plain disgusting, while it is so easy to buy affordable and decent wine in Spain. The musician in the place couldn't sing very well either, so we left after one drink. The staff was friendly enough and the cider was solid, but I don't think we will be returning here.

A beautiful bar, well appointed and full of genuine memorabilia. We ordered a large breakfast and a build your own breakfast. The food wasn't very hot and could have been cooked a bit more to make the bacon crispy (it was on only cooked on one side), the black and white pudding was soggy and the mushrooms on the build your own breakfast were missed and when I asked for them they were sour/gone off, everything was just lacking a little care, the plates were also cold which didn't help. Of the staff that we had serving us, well let's just say they failed to engage with us and just "served". Plenty of staff on but busy chatting among themselves and some other non staff members ( maintenance or owners, not sure). Barely anyone in while CoCos next door was jam packed ( will try there next time). Waited at the counter for some time to pay the bill even though I was seen and I saw others wait too and as I say it wasn't that busy. I wasn't overly impressed, did I eat all my breakfast, yes, would I go again, maybe. Definitely room for improvement. Excellent location and venue.

Dreadful experience. Food was woeful. The build up for a boxing match for 10.30 was ongoing from 7pm. Noise was deafening. There are much better places than this

Nice cosy atmosphere, especially on a cold and rainy night, outside area will be pleasant in summer, but food so bland!! Couldn't find the mushrooms and onions in the whisky chicken, and difficult to put chives in instant mashed potato. Curry not much better. Don't think we will be back

Similar to some other comments had breakfast here was delightful. Went back in evening with family and the bar manager was probably the rudest person I've encountered. He made comments under his breath regarding children think it's time the children went home even though place was flooded with children. Soft skills training is required and to be open with people not cowardly under the breath comments. If something is bothering you tell the family out straight Rest of staff lovely Shenanigans better also scruffy murphys

Couldn't fault the morning staff when we had breakfast there. However the bar manager needs to do some customer care training himself! He has absolutely no manners, the way he spoke to myself, brother and our partners was apalling. This is no reflection on his wife she was a lovely women he himself let's the pub down. If anyone is looking for a proper irish bar with good craic and banter go to shenanigans its a €7 taxi away and well worth it. The staff there are well trained in customer care

Manager and bar staff needs to learn simple manners never met a rudder man in my life get a grip we had an severely autistic child with us on holidays all he eats is McDonald’s the rest of the family were planning to order food there but were made feel so uncomfortable we left after the manager gave out to the child with a disability for eating his McDonald’s. Just back from our 11 day holiday as a family of 12. We visited this place on the first morning of our holiday for breakfast the lady that served us was so rude but we took no notice to it as it was extremely hot day but her manner quickly changed at the end of our visit when she got a tip from us she seemed a some what nicer than before.. We visited a second time for dinner and drinks one evening this certain lady was off that day and we had a great time with the staff who were on and a lovely chat with the manager also... we returned on our last day of our holiday looking forward to our last meal to finish off our holiday but unfortunately for us the Rude Woman was back working that day and Ruder than ever! Absolutely shocking behaviour I have never witnessed anything like it before while out having food she was slamming food onto table bringing half of people's food out to them and telling them they would have to wait for the rest of it to be brought out when the cheif is finished cooking it huffing and puffing and arguing towards anything anyone had to say. Needles to say she missed out on a big tip from us! This is a nice place and food is Ok but if you like being made feel like its your fault because the weather is so hot or the place is busy come here and im sure youll meet this lady and she will let you know and you'll have the same horrible experience as myself and my family .. if myself and my family are over here again we will never step foot in it because of her she is running it into the ground she should not be aloud work in that environment as she clearly has no customer service whats so ever! and for anyone who has been in there before I'm sure you know who I am writing this about absolutely shocking behaviour!

We have been coming to Benaldenna for the last 5 years and would always pop into Hapenny's for a breakfast or even just a drink while the kids play a game of pool so no doubt while back this year we would keep up the tradition. Well weren't we dissapointed 😞 The menu has been reduced to barely nothing and not what you would expect for lunch time in an Irish bar. What we did get was inedible, absolute muck is all that came to mind when I seen it being put in front of me. If I could give zero stars I would. Definitely won't be back.

We arrived on Monday 6th with a large party including kids. Like most over the next week a lot of money was out behind the bar. The manager told us that it's not a child friendly pub but still took our money. Wouldn't recommend

Cash only pub. Posters in the pub referred us to an ATM 50m away that cost me 3,5 euro to withdraw money. We then arrived with one baby in a pram at 7.30 pm. No prams they said (children allowed until 9 pm). It was New Years Eve and I said we were only going to stay for half an hour (baby has to sleep anyway) but still we weren’t allowed. Pub was not even full. Not welcoming and unfortunately they won’t see us there again. Sorry!

It used to be a great place and i was a regular. But they took away my favourite beer, the staff i liked is gone, and the owner made me feel unwelcome. Also the cash only thing is a bit dodgy. Better options in the area

The owner is one of the most unpleasant individuals I have ever come across. Me and my 2 friends (18,18 and 18) were told we had fake ids. It’s genuinely puzzling and worrying how a bar owner is unable to tell a real id from a fake id. We offered to bring our passports down but were told to leave. Please avoid
