Above average Indian food. The amazing smell brought me in from the street. Haven’t seen “Bullet Naan” on other menus and it’s amazing; spicy with chili peppers and cilantro, glistening with copious amounts of butter, crispy and fresh. I had a veggie curry dish and they absolutely nailed my “medium hot” spice level request; hot enough to bring the sweat but not burn your tongue off. The “farm fresh” veggies also lived up to the billing, seeming very fresh and not overcooked. Price is reasonable. Recommended and I will definitely return and bring others!
Very clean inside and out. Our server Sukh was very attentive and had good knowledge of food. She was nice, intelligent and very soft spoken. I recommend this place to everybody.
WOWWWW!!!! Literally a 11/10 they treated us like family there. The food was amazing, DELICIOUS! It was my second time trying indian cuisine and it was spectacular! God!!! I can’t wait to be there again.
My favorite go to lunch every work day! Love all the food on the buffet. Fresh ingredients and great service Always service is great with a lovely smile from Sukh.
I went to Aroma restaurant few weeks ago. I felt so special with the warm welcome. To top everything, the food was absolutely delicious. I am not vegan at all, I had the best culinary time of my life eating and trying all these delicious food. The Tikka Masala was a true paradise in my palate . I tried so many other food available in the buffet. So far, the best Indian restaurant that I have tried in the Bay Area. This is a 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ restaurant. I will recommend it. Enjoy it like I did.
So happy to have Aroma back in our monthly rotation for dinner! The best Indian food made with love! Highly recommend!
Lunch Buffett is BACK! Wonderful food, excellent service and friendly hardworking staff, and Sukh was an excellent hostess. Definitely one of my favorites in town.
Very friendly staff. Food is delicious and so full of good flavors. Love going there for lunch or dinner.
JP was awesome! I have many food restrictions and was hesitate in coming, but JP assured me over the phone that there were many options on the menu that are dairy free and gluten free. We came and the food was delicious. Thank you so much for your hospitality! We will be back again.
Aroma is open again after what seemed like several years closed and we are so happy there's delicious Indian food available in south Solano County again! Everything we've had at Aroma is tasty. My partner and I often get the same thing whenever we go to Indian restaurants but we feel confident when trying new things at Aroma that it will be a good use of our money and we'll enjoy the dish. Even my father who says he doesn't like Indian food because he doesn't like stews and sauces (eye-roll) says he likes the food at Aroma! They've decorated a back patio where they seem to prefer patrons sit, but don't worry, they have portable heaters if the day or evening gets chilly. JP, who I believe is the manager, is also an attentive waiter and all the staff are friendly and helpful. My two critiques are that while the chai is very flavorful and it takes a while to get an order so I think each cup is is made fresh, it is often burnt. But I still often order chai because it is so tasty. And the host table is now in the back of the restaurant and when people walk in there's no indication that they should walk to the back to be seated and the host rarely notices when people have walked in and are standing by the door waiting.
This is now a must-go to place for me and Benicia. Excellent food and even better excellent staff. Very chill vibes in a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the chicken curry hot and it made me sweat as I mopped it up with my my spinach naan and chased it all down with my godfather beer. It's a real treat to have such excellent cuisine options in a small town. Do yourself a favor and check it out and say hello to the manager JB, at gregarious guy with Good vibes.
We come here all the time! Beautiful back patio and great food. JP has been our server every time and he’s awesome.
Wonderful food presented with elegance in an atmosphere that makes you feel somewhere in a nice part of Mumbai.
This was the best service!!! The owners treated us so good!! The food was really really good!! Super clean area, i appreciate that it is a family business you can tell they really care about their customers! Definitely taking my family back, recommend 100%!!
Great dinner and love sitting outside. Sukh is so sweet as well as all the employees :)
Gurpreet and staff were wonderful. We visited on 12/16. It was chilly out and they put On the heater and made us feel warm Amd welcome. Food was fantastic and really authentic and delicious. They brought many wines to the table to make sure I picked the right one. Our wait staff was very attentive and smiled warmly and made us feel at home. We will be back !
How many years has it been since there’s been any decent Indian food on this side of the bridge? Well, as many years as it’s been since Aroma had a fire and shut down… and after all these years, THEY’RE BACK!!! AND THEY’RE STILL GREAT!! Everything we ordered was so flavorful. Great music too!
I went there today! I have been eating Indian food all my life, and I’ve never eaten anything as tasty as this! The food was well done and the patio was so cute! I loved the lights. The lights gave it a very cute look! And the music made me feel like I was in India! The service was so nice! They were so kind! I give this 5/5! Delicious!!!
This is my second time trying this restaurant; and i can 100% say this is one of the best indian restaurants i’ve been to! The food, service, atmosphere is truly the best. The owner Jeet is phenomenal. This is a family business and he truly makes you feel apart of it! So glad i came across this place. I can’t wait to tell my family and friends about this place. 10/10 recommend!
We ate dinner last night with a party of 8 people. They were very quick to accommodate our large party (without a reservation). The service was excellent- everyone was so kind and helpful. The food was delicious and everyone left very satisfied. Definitely a restaurant we’ll be visiting again!
The best Indian food I've ever had. You could smell the intense wonderful flavor of the Tandoori Chicken when the waiter was delivering it. It was amazing. The Chicken Tikka Masala was also great. Service was perfect. Just the right amount without being obtrusive. The atmosphere was ok. Just a little quiet on a Wednesday night. Probably much better on the weekend. It is now my go to Indian restaurant. My picky eater daughter who had never had Indian food before loved it too.
Excellent dinner! The vegetable samosas were the perfect start with tasty sauces. The chana masala was so flavorful. The naan was warm and soft. Our waiter, JP, was very welcoming and had great recommendations. We can’t wait to go back!
I have enjoyed eating here many times. The service is awesome...the food is very tasty yum yum and a great back patio!
This Indian restaurant delivers an exceptional dining experience with its rich flavors and warm hospitality. The menu features a perfect balance of classic dishes and unique specialties, all prepared with high-quality ingredients and bold spices. The saag paneer is creamy and flavorful, while the tikka masala boasts fragrant rice and tender meat. The naan is perfectly soft and pairs well with every dish. Service is attentive, and the ambiance is inviting, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place won’t disappoint!
This was my first time here at Aroma and this was the best experience I had. Our waiter was amazing and attentive. The owner Jeet was a delight and gave us a complimentary chai at the end of our meal. I love that they don’t rush you out and are super friendly. I will Definitely come back here to eat again.
Beautiful restaurant, I really liked the painting they have in the seating area and the music was very pleasant. The employees created me like family and I'm sure the food is made with love. I'll be back for more. Thank you🫶🏾
Came here for the first time for the lunch buffet. It was great! Friendly service, clean restaurant, tasty food and great value!
What a great place to eat the ambiance is great the people that work there are awesome the food is soooo delicious and authentic with so much flavor, we have been trying different places since we have got back from our trip to the Maldives and India and this place is it!
Fantastic Indian restaurant. We bring our young kids here and they love the butter chicken and mango lasse. Highly recommend the lunch buffet!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aroma Benicia and it was an exceptional experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy meal. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with authentic flavors and spices. The butter chicken was creamy and rich, while the garlic naan was perfectly baked and paired wonderfully with the curries. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy a delightful Indian meal!
Coming from Portland we have no good Indian food. This place was great. Great service, fun dishes, realllllly great customer service (thanks JP!). The menu is deep so be ready to order a lot and share.

Aroma is definitely one of my favorite spots in Benicia! Their service is fantastic and you will find something to enjoy from their extensive menu, regardless of dietary needs or restrictions. If you happen to find yourself downtown and craving quality Indian food, definitely check this place out.
I cant recommend this restaurant more! Our server gave great recommendations for meal and beverages. Everything we had was cooked to perfection and delicious. The service was fantastic. Our server was lovely and went above and beyond — helping with selections and preferences. So pleased with our experience! Can’t wait to return!!
The food was full of authentic flavors – I especially loved the butter chicken and garlic naan. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A special mention to sukh, who served us with a big smile and made great recommendations. Her attentive service made it even better. Highly recommended!
I ordered the chicken in fenugreek sauce, I think it was called methi chicken and it's one of the best chicken curries I've ever had! The plain naan was also delicious and flavorful. I will definitely be coming here again when I'm in Benicia.
Everyone at the table was impressed by how delicious their meal was. The lamb tikki marsala was amazing. Server Sukh was attentive and pleasant. Being asked at the end of the meal to leave a review was new as was the server asking if we planned to tip in cash and then encouraging a cash tip.
We were there as a group of 12 people. The food was great and the service was excellent. The flavors were amazing even for an Indian person.
Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was incredibly delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish tasted amazing and exceeded our expectations. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the exceptional customer service. We accidentally forgot part of our order, and instead of just apologizing, the owner personally made sure it was delivered to our home. That level of care, honesty, and professionalism is rare these days and shows how much they truly value their customers. Great food, amazing service, and genuine people behind the business. This restaurant has earned a loyal customer for life. Highly, highly recommend.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, welcoming, and incredibly relaxing. The music was perfect and really set the tone for an enjoyable evening. The food was outstanding—everything we ordered was full of flavor and clearly prepared with care. It easily exceeded our expectations and made the experience even more memorable. The service was just as wonderful. A special shoutout to the tall, handsome gentleman who helped us—he was attentive, knowledgeable, and gave excellent menu suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary ice cream, which was absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch. Overall, this restaurant delivered amazing vibes, exceptional service, and fantastic food. We’ll definitely be back
I recently became gluten-free and vegan. I have struggled to find restaurants that can accommodate my diet, but Aroma was wonderful. My family and I were immediately greeted and seated. Friendly staff and patient when answering questions regarding my dietary needs. We ordered the vegan dal makhani (make sure to request it vegan!), veggie pakura, and they have gluten-free naan made with chickpea flour! So far this is the only Indian restaurant I’ve found that makes a bread with chickpea flour which is gluten-free. The serving sizes are generous compared to other Indian restaurants I’ve eaten at. An order of dal makhani generously feeds two hungry people, but we were able to make it work for three. An order of white rice comfortably feed three. The chickpea flour naan comes with two pieces, and they are very large. The regular naan also comes with two generous pieces. An order of veggie pakura is a generous portion, comfortably fed three of us, but could feed four. Whenever I’m in Benicia, I will be back!
Absolutely amazing. I truly can’t believe I haven’t eaten here until today. Only the third time I’ve eaten Indian cuisine. I did there all you can eat deal. It’s a small selection but holy cow, it was hot fresh tons of flavor, delicious, filling. I definitely recommend it especially if you are thinking about eating Indian food I recommend this spot. The female employee here was an absolute pleasure. Thank you Sun for a wonderful meal
The food is outstanding and the service is top tier. The staff is very friendly and and always welcoming. I usually go in for pick-up, but dine in is great too. The lunch buffet is a great deal and has a good variety. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Benicia. One of the staff members Sukh is really great and remembers me and my wife's usual order.
Had the most exceptional evening celebrating my birthday here. Owner greeted and sat us, staff was very attentive, food was ready quickly and was DELICIOUS— seriously every item we ordered was mouth-wateringly tasty. They played the “happy birthday” song over the speaker while we ate dessert. Owner was very generous and attentive, offering us complimentary beverages as we had brought our own dessert. Plan to add this to our date night rotation!

A great Indian Cuisine. You want Indian food? This is one I recommend A cute little mom and pops Restaurant. A very friendly and quiet place. They offer a buffet or you are welcome to order from the menu. I love love the Chicken Tikka Masala, it goes very with basmati rice or with naan bread. Which I could not get enough of that it. Yumm! The price is not bad at all for the amount of food you get. They didn’t seem to have dessert at the buffet which would not be a bad idea to have it there. But it is on the menu. The server which I also think is family Sis not speak English well so it was a little hard to communicate but that’s how you know the food is authentic :).
I’m so surprised by the five star reviews. My husband and I stopped in here for the lunch buffet. It was the smallest Indian buffet I’ve ever seen. The food was just ok. Service was terrible. The guy seated us outside and then walked away as I was asking if we should go ahead and grab plates. So we just went ahead and went inside to grab them. Then had to go back and ask for silverware. He checked on us once to give us more water. Then when we get up to pay it was $20 a person! Never again. No wonder we were the only people in there at noon on a Saturday.

Aroma used to be my go-to restaurant for delicious Indian food and superb service before the fire, so I was eager to try them again. I was super disappointed in the quality of the food. We ordered Matter Paneer, Chicken Tika Masala, Garlic Naan, and Veggie Pakoras. The chicken Tika was unusually sweet. The curry sauce of the Mattar Paneer was different, maybe canned tomato based? Metallic and very tomato forward. The filing of the veggie pakora was tasty and spicy, but the fried outside tasted like old oil and was very greasy. The garlic naan was literally just plain naan with an entire jar of raw garlic thrown on it. Like someone forgot it was supposed to be garlic naan and thought throwing raw garlic on plain naan would be the same. Nope. Inedible. Their food used to be made with love and that is no longer the case. Sadly the quality is not the same and we'll keep going to Taj Grill.
1000000% I will never come back to this restaurant Everything was amazing, food was okay But honestly the hygienic at this place it’s INSANE OMG!!! 😱 I really can’t believe if the way how the have restrooms like this looks like they don’t clean in days better say weeks or months Question is? What they gonna be doing with the food?😱 Are they washing dishes after every use or keep using the same for whole day or for many days It’s really so nasty how they can keep at this restrooms like this Its GROSS AND DISGUSTING AND DISRESPECTFUL for us as customers 🤢🤢
The staff girl was rude, uninterested, and acted like customers were a burden rather than guests. No greeting, no courtesy, no basic professionalism, it seriously made us question how the food is being.Tables were dirty, the floor looked neglected, and worst of all—the washroom was disgusting. It was unhygienic. The owner clearly does not care about standards, customer experience, or basic sanitation. Running a restaurant comes with responsibility, and this place fails. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are many Indian restaurants that respect customers and maintain proper hygiene—this is definitely not one of them.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had at an Indian restaurant in the U.S. The food service was absolutely terrible. We waited an unreasonably long time just to get basic attention, and even longer for the food to arrive. The staff seemed uninterested, disorganized, and rude when we asked about our order. When the food finally came, it was cold and clearly rushed, which made the long wait even more frustrating. There was no apology, no effort to fix the situation, and no sense of customer care at all. Indian cuisine is usually known for warmth and hospitality, but this place had none of that. Very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good service or a pleasant meal.
