Ami Sushi

Ami has become our favorite sushi spot. The rolls are awesome, the appetizers are tasty and creative, and the service phenomenal. You can tell the crew is having fun. To top it off, the bar upstairs is a lot of fun and they keep coming up with new cocktails. We’ll be back!

From the moment you walk in, the vibe feels warm and welcoming — the ambiance is cozy with a modern touch and a fun bar area. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive — truly a standout in service. The sushi is melt-in-your-mouth fresh and beautifully presented.

New owners have taken over the old Nagoya.. and guess what? The sushi is even fresher and tastier! Fast friendly service and delicious sushi-sushimi Parking in the back and short time parking on Springfield Avenue.

Amazing dining experience at a new sushi place for me. The service was fabulous and the sushi was delish. The presentation was beautiful. My friend who took me here loved the food and experience as well.

I’m obsessed with this place , the sushi is so fresh and flavorful. I love the speciality rolls ie : Splendid roll and Naughty Girl but I’m a fan favorite of the tuna crispy rice. So far I’ve only done take out I can’t wait to actually dine in and get the full experience.

Beautiful presentation & best of all the sushi was fresh & tasted amazing. Every bite of the steak teriyaki was an explosion of flavor. Vegetables were cooked to perfection. We ate in the upstairs bar area which was tastefully decorated with a good vibe. For a special treat, get the fried ice cream!

My 10 year old’s review: The food was very great. The Godzilla Roll was very fresh, and the dipping sauce was delicious. My mom got the Shrek roll (green) which she really liked. The fried ice cream was very good. It was warm on the outside and cold in the inside. The servers, including Joyce, were very kind to us and helpful. They always asked if we were doing well and we always were.

Ami serves delicious and fresh sushi. I have ordered from Ami several times and they do not disappoint. They offer a great selection of platters which are always beautifully presented. They are definitely my go to for party platters especially since the guests always rave about the spread, portions and quality of the food. The staff and owners are friendly and incredibly easy to work with. I will definitely be ordering from them again. Highly recommended Ami. Five stars all around! I had the pleasure of dining here with my partner while visiting from Canada. The quality of the food is excellent, and the staff treated us as if we were family from the get-go. I particularly enjoyed the sashimi platter, yellowfin tuna and uni. We both also absolutely loved the tuna over crispy rice as an appetizer. Highly recommend for delicious sushi, great drinks and warm, accommodating service.

Everything on the menu looked so good, it was hard to decide! We ended up getting the tuna mango tartare, soft shell crab tempura, salmon skin salad, sashimi deluxe (with a miso soup), dynamite roll, and Shrek roll. Everything was delicious! The presentation was beautiful and the fish was fresh and clean tasting. We can't wait to come back to try the other menu items! We went on a Friday evening, and they had a DJ playing vinyls in the upstairs bar and lounge. They also have outdoor seating, and plenty of parking in the back. Come check them out of you haven't already!

We hosted our daughter’s confirmation dinner upstairs at Ami and our guests all had a wonderful time! The owner Melinda was so accommodating and helped me plan the dinner. The food is absolutely delicious and our guests really enjoyed the ambiance and food. Even our non-sushi eating friends loved the steak and chicken teriyaki dishes. The upstairs has been updated with a more upscale vibe than the original “tiki bar”. So it was perfect for our special occasion.

Holy mackerel! I ordered takeout and just tried a few things, but they had me hooked! The Sashimi Deluxe delivered 5 kinds of super fresh fish along with a tasty miso soup. The Ben Ben Roll brought a bright, refreshing mix of tuna, yellowtail, white tuna, salmon, and mango. But the Matrix Roll stole the show with bold flavors of spicy tuna, white tuna, salmon, avocado, kani, masago, and seaweed. Sushi this good at home? Yes. This spot is fin-omenal!

If I could I would give more stars! We had a party of 50 plus people to honor my daughter. Working with Melinda planning for our celebration made this easy and a no brainer for future parties. We trusted her suggestions and appreciated her flexibility and availability for changes right up to the day of. The food was fantastic, many guests from New York City were commenting how amazing it was. We wound up having to order another big platter of sushi it was so popular. The staff was very attentive and extremely professional. We will definitely come back often for dinner but hope to use this restaurant again for our foundation’s get togethers. Thank you to Melinda and the team for a fabulous luncheon.

This restaurant is a true gem! It has a fun cool vibe and the owners are so warm and welcoming. They truly care about your dining experience. It takes a lot for me to give a 5 star review as we dine out frequently and are very particular. Presentation, atmosphere, food, and service all could not have been more perfect. Absolutely loved the gyoza and shrimp fried rice was by far the best we've had! Do not miss the spicy tuna crispy rice and if you are looking for a treat the fried green tea ice cream is heavenly :) Can't wait to return!

But, one thing that separated this restaurant from the others we've been to was the fantastic attentive service. Not just bringing the food out but truly attentive service throughout our entire visit. Will be visiting often.

Just had lunch at Ami Sushi and wow was the food good. I usually go to my local sushi place in my town but wanted to try something different. Ami Sushi is definitely better. Everything we ordered was so good, but the Age Tofu was one of the best I've had (and I've had many). Glad we came here. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!

The restaurant is very big, there's a huge seating area downstairs, they have additional seating upstairs and there's outdoor seating as well. There is also a dedicated parking lot behind the building. Everything looks updated and clean, very nice aesthetic. The staff was very nice and attentive the whole time. They have a decent sized menu, not the biggest selection of rolls I've seen but enough variety that there should be something for everyone. As a vegetarian there were a handful of options for me as well, but I wouldn't mind seeing more. There were pretty standard, avocado roll, cucumber roll, sweet potato roll etc. The most interesting roll I was avocado/peanut so I'd love to see a little more experimentation with the veggie rolls. That being said the rolls were very good and nothing disappointed. Extremely reasonably priced as well and during the week there are lunch specials where you can get 2 rolls plus a soup or salad for $14. (You can do more rolls as well I just can't quite remember the increased pricing). Overall a very nice sushi spot that I would be happy to come back to.

We love this Japanese restaurant, family friendly, great sashimi and sushi selections, fresh and tasty. Staffs are super friendly. Our kids love udon and vegetable rolls too. Yellowtail jalapeno was delicious! One of our go to places for sushi! They also have upstairs party space for events.

This is the best restaurant! The vegetable yaki udon is delicious and I highly recommend. I am not a sushi lover but the cooked food is great. The fried rice is amazing! I love coming here with my family weekly, it is truly the best.
