Great little cafe. Very reasonable priced and friendly staff!
Such a cute place with a delectable menu. Love their owners too :)
I stopped in for the first time last week… People working there are super nice. Latte was really good, I don’t know what beans they were using but it was delicious. I had a breakfast sandwich on ciabatta that was HUGE. I saved half for my lunch later! Dog friendly!
What everyone else has said. Friendly, unique. Great Vietnamese coffee. Overstuffed sandwiches. I prefer larger hunks in my chicken salad though it is super delicious.
This is the perfect cafe to work from, or just chill in! The service and staff are top-notch, food delicious, and coffee good & speedy! Has been and will be in my local North Oakland/South Berkeley rotation indefinitely!!
Super friendly staff! The guys are really nice and always welcoming. I used to live a block away and this was my coffee spot (get a Vietnamese coffee and enjoy!), now I moved 30 minutes away and I’m still showing up just for the good food (pastries are AMAZING) and the good vibes. Definitely a place that I highly recommend!!!
Their regular drip coffee is SO good. I now buy my coffee beans from here. Staff are kind and breakfast sandwiches are delish. The chipotle breakfast sandwich on everything bagel is my favorite. Oh and their almond croissant!! Le amo el tiny <3
Kind owners. Fresh pastry x bagel hummus spread is a real Saturday treat. I love coming here. Great to have in the growing hipster🙄 neighborhood. Highly recommend... one tidbit: "get there early they close relatively early!"
Pleasant little cafe with bagels and sandwiches. Friendly, efficient service. Very small!
Hella good and reasonably priced! Will absolutely will be coming back. Horchata latte was so good and not too sweet
delicious bagel sandwiches and coffee. the churro and marzipan lattes are my favourites, really hoping they stay on the menu. good energy in this cafe :)
The place was empty upon my arrival first thing in the morning, but not for long. Spanish speaking camaraderie and good prices brought the people in. I ordered a drip coffee and a delicious quiche, and only paid eight something, nine something with tip. A fair price for a Bay Area breakfast and coffee. The quiche was bacon vegetable, with corn, broccoli, zucchini and some cheese inside a pinched-corner flaky crust. It was delicious and savory and filling. The drip coffee was nothing of particular note, but it got me caffeinated to complete my extraneous work tasks. The café had good wifi with non-abrasive music where fact checking was not hindered by either distractingly loud music or horrible taste in café vibe-setting.
Just found this cute little cafe right near our house. So happy it has opened! They are brand new, and we got a bag of coffee to takeaway which was sourced from a family farm in Mexico where Mayan women produce coffee. Also had a lox bagel and a cafe au lait. Everything was great and the owners are soo sweet! Stoked about this place.
Awesome new cafe on Adeline. Really nice service with delicious food and coffee. Guava agua fresca was super fresh and made with real fruit. The Clasico sandwich has a nice little kick with the chipotle aioli and goes really well with the white Mexican bread. Come try it out!
What a great place! I lived not to far for two years now and I’m kicking myself for not coming in sooner. Ordered the Turkey Sandwich, it was amazing on sourdough. Looking forward to coming back in for a breakfast burrito!
Cappuccino was perfect, their Vietnamese coffee was one of the best ones I've had around here in a while (although I wish it had been layered). I got the avocado toast on a bagel and it was delicious and reasonably priced.
super friendly people, very cute and clean space, solid coffee, and yummy food at a reasonable price! I've gotten a breakfast sandwich and the el verde sandwich, looking forward to trying more items!
I got an Americano and a bagel with butter and jam on a Friday morning. The vive of the shop is friendly and welcoming, and my coffee was tasty. I'll definitely be heading back here to read with a macchiato on Sunday morning. I think this will be my neighborhood cafe.
Excellent breakfast sandwiches, great coffee, cute atmosphere! Would recommend!
I think I may have created a monster by eating El Tiny’s breakfast burritos while pregnant. They’re the perfect size to not feel uncomfortable but also so flavorful and cost effective. So of course, my child has decided she must eat these specific burritos regularly. Every time we go, we see other families with kids who want their burritos. The owners and staff are really kind and welcoming, and you can’t go wrong with any of their breakfast options. We enjoy their coffee and London Fog too. But to reiterate: if you take your kid here, beware the tiny burritos. The burritos have some Pied Piper powers.
Great little gem, went multiple times while visiting. The atmosphere is cozy and you can tell this place is popular within the community. Will come again the next time I am in Oakland.
I don't want anyone else to come here because it really is tiny. Somehow it's been here for 5 years and I don't know about it. They have all the coffees including chai tea lattes, but also Vietnamese coffee, and alternative milks. Pastries from Starter Bakery. My kind of place!
I frequently come here for lunch breaks. The staff are welcoming and very kind. The food and drink is fairly priced, and very tasty!
I ordered a vanilla latte and a morning sandwich with egg, no tomato on a plain bagel. To say the sandwich was good is an understatement. There was so much flavor in that sandwich. The last bite was just as good as the first. The coffee was fresh and with just the right punch. The staff were very attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this spot! They also have sweet breads every now and then. I can’t wait to bring my family here when they visit!
We got a Vietnamese latte, Mexican mocha, chorizo burrito, and chipotle sandwich for about $26. The sandwich was sooo fresh, flavorful, and practically melted in my mouth. The burrito was smaller than I’m used to, but it was also amazingly seasoned and delicious! Both drinks were smooth, flavorful, and tastefully sweet without being overpowering. The service, atmosphere, prices, and food are all 10/10 and make me want to come back daily.
The people who work there were so nice and the chorizo burrito was incredible. Matcha was authentic and easily customizable. Oatmeal was perfect with fresh fruit. Overall, a deserving 5 stars.
Went there and loved it so so much. Super nice cafe, very good coffee, food was amazing, people were lovely. Please go there, you won't regret it.
The most decorated, tasty and **affordable** avocado toast in the East Bay!! 👏🏽👏🏽 Plus the coffee is sourced from a women’s collective and the proprietor is frickin’ adorable.
Amazing Quality. Lovely staff. This is a hidden gem for sure.
The owners are very welcoming and super friendly. I ordered a lox bagel and coffee and everything was really good. I also got a free piece of banana pudding bread. I definitely recommend stopping by!
Lovely cafe, literally very tiny, with take out during Covid. No outdoor seating yet. There are a few tables and chairs for use when inside seating is allowed by the county. Good coffee, great food, pastry and some in house baked goods. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Near the F, 12 and a bit of a walk from the 88 bus lines. Also, about 2 blocks from Ashby BART Station. If you need to do laundry at Washingtown, this is the place for a good treat while you are waiting. Always an enjoyable experience.
This place is just wonderful. Just moved in to the neighborhood and I don’t know how I will keep myself from coming here everyday for breakfast! Delicious coffee and amazing avocado toast made with love. But the friendly service with a smile is the best part. Thank you, El Tiny! You are El Treasure!
Our whole family LIVES for the Tiny (breakfast) Burritos! I think they’re the perfect size for kids. I usually get two Tiny Burritos for myself - one to eat before work and another as a mid-morning snack. Also love (for myself) the Classico Turkey sandwhich - the aioli is so good. Staff is so friendly. Women-owned & operated.

The coffee and food is delicious! I only paid 25$ for two coffee drinks, a sandwich, and a breakfast burrito. Surprisingly so cheap for the quality! Love this place
Service is always great !!! Food and drinks are good, perfect for any commuters walking to Ashby Bart from the south side of Berkeley or North Oak
Was in town visiting friends and El Tiny Cafe was open earlier than the other cafes in the area. I’m glad they were! Fast and friendly service, latte was great, and the breakfast croissant sandwich was delicious! Great little cafe!
The Tiny Burrito is perfectly sized for me (small) and so reasonably priced.
Wonderful SMALL coffee shop. They make good strong coffee. Nothing too fancy but it hits the spot. Starker bakery pasteries, bagel sandwiches ( try the basil), and tiny breakfast burritos with a veggies option.
I love everyone at el tiny! Great, quick coffee! Delicious pastries! Their tiny burritos are a perfect, cheap filling brekky. Only minor negative point is it feels a little gloomy inside - not sure why, maybe dark walk or low lighting. I’d go more if it was brighter! Also they shut kinda early.
Great little cafe with delicious breakfast options (bagel sandwiches, burritos) and nice coffee! Seems like prices were affordable and a cute, cozy vibe. Also really kind staff, women/Latina owned! Can’t wait to come back
I had an espresso at El tiny which I thought was excellent. I came back and bought a 1 pound bag of coffee the next day. I think it's the best coffee I have ever bought

I went here almost everyday for three weeks. This was my number 2 spot while i was homeless in berkeley and sleeping at the Ashby Bart Station for three weeks. it was My Morning place. Affordable, but not really, and excellent, well sort of and not really. Community, tiny and quality, but again, not really, if a coffee shop does not care about homeless people then what does that say about the community that supports it Update: I will never support these people again. Another anti homeless hipster coffee shop. I was spending 15 to 20 dollars a day to work out of here and they got mad when i started buying potato chips with my tap to pay. Yeah. I hate this place now as much as the other hipster shop around the corner. Overpriced. $10 avocado toast. Not enough outlets. Ungrateful to loyalty. They want you to spend $15 and leave. No community here. Just business. No real community. Tiny in size and humanity. I will never go back here again. 0 stars. Bagels are old and stale. Some days i paid 10 bucks for avocado toast. Everyday i spent $12+ for coffee. Everyday i got bagels and chips. The only vegan options they offer. Could never get my phone charged though. Not comfortable or ergonomic. Cold draft by the window in winter. Water dispenser is plastic and never full. Pastries are small and overpriced. An obvious capitalist venture. Not a cummunity minded one. Sad. i hate to say this about a local coffee shop but starbucks is 10 times better when it comes to taking care of its customers and respecting them, appreciating them, and servicing them. I happily support evil starbucks corporation of little coffee shops like this who don't communicate with the customers and do not serve them well and with respect. el tiny is both small in size and spirit. hard pass. plenty of other more calm, pleasent and welcoming comfortable coffee shops in the area that will appreciate your money and will allow you to actually work and make some money while you spend money with them.
