I happened to be in the area visiting a friend and found Brogino's. I would definitely make another trip out here just to eat here. Delicious Garden Sauce on fettuccine pasta.
What a great place... it's been there since '77! It was my first time and a friend took me there and boy was I amazes! Great service, atmosphere, and the food... Forget 'bout it 🤌!!! Haha.. really a must try if you are in Redondo!
Monica and Jeanette were very good at their jobs. Made it very easy to see the menu. Order the wine!
I ate here for the first time last night and everything was delicious and the servers were so friendly and attentive! I can’t wait until coronavirus is done with so I can enjoy the ambience inside because it looked so nice!
Generous portions, huge martinis, cool ambiance, unlimited garlic bread...what more can you ask for? I had the fettuccine alfredo and it was pretty good, but the star of the show was the lasagna for sure.
it's easy to get to I had the Italian stirfry it was great. I will go there again. my husband loved it. the atmosphere was perfect. we also enjoyed the candle light. 😊😊😊
Been going to Broginos for 20 years. Husband who was Executive Chef and I would to together. Love their food, love the staff and great ambience even during pandemic outside. Chef has been there for a long time and food is always wonderful. Michael and the staff are friendly, and make the experience so consistently enjoyable.
Our Father in Law had visited at the recommendation of a friend. He loved it and brought us here when we asked for genuine Italian food. He was spot on. Freshly prepared pasta, excellent garlic bread. Service was great and Mike the manager was most accomidating And the decor was right out of the east side of Manhattan complete with a lot of Frank S. Bring your appetite. You will have to ask for the "go box".
Old school Italian Restaurant right on the Artesia Corridor! Little quaint tables, yummy food had a cute bar with huge martinis. It's a great neighborhood Italian restaurant that's been here for many, many years. Enjoy!
My wife n I traveled to Boston to eat some real Italian food, when we came back to CA we looked for a place that had the same taste and after a few months of trying different places we finally found it. Brogino’S is by far the most authentic Italian restaurant in town. Great atmosphere, excellent service and outstanding food. Our server Oscar was amazing. We will be back!
I grew up, worked, and cooked in my family's Italian restaurant and know what great Italian and Italian-American food is supposed to taste like. After living in the south bay for 26 years, we stopped by Brogino's by chance, never hearing of it. I was very impressed. This is arguably the best Italian food in the South Bay. I highly recommend it. Service was great also. Mangiamo!
Besides the great food, and outstanding service, this place knows how to pace the meal. Never rushed eating here. Also, they have a full bar, with some unique signature cocktails. A real gem.
Came here twice and it never disappoints. Great spot for dates. And wait staff are so attentive. I had the angel hair with scallops and osso buco - both excellent. Skip Ill Fornaio and their snooty waiters and over priced food. Go here and have an enjoyable time.
I wish I had 10 stars to give to this place and I wish I came before. Everything is absolutely perfect, menu variety, flavor, portion size, price, feeling, vibe, service, decoration, music, everything. I can’t wait to bring my family and friends and come again and again. Special thanks to our lovely waitress Jeanette she really made this place even more magical.
My wife and I went for our anniversary last night. We had a wonderful server name Omar, who took time to give suggestions on combinations dinners and the best pairing of wines with our meals. We will most definitely be returning.
Is a very unique and fun place great to go to with a group of people or just a romantic evening with your love.
I spotted this place as a local family style Italian delight. Which it is. Great Flavors, friendly and they don't rush you. Once you go you will go back. The menu has a huge selection. Try the scallops over Angel hair! They also have combo dishes. Dinners come with soup and salad. Love this place.
I'm baffled by the negative reviews! First time here this Saturday evening. Food was incredibly fresh and delicious. Staff was friendly and warm. Definitely returning to try the other dishes.
Excellent food and great service. (Outstanding marinara sauce!) Thank you Brogino's Italian restaurant!
We LOVE Brogino's!! Very traditional Italian food, atmosphere & service. Last night Omar was our server and couldn't have made our Valentine's Dinner experience any better. Mike always makes sure that you are doing great and don't need anything. We also love Patina, she's a wonderful server & the sweetest person. This is our go to restaurant for special occasions because of the family feel we get when you're there. Last year we were engaged and the staff made it even more special! Cheers to another 40 years for Brogino's!!
Absolutely love this place! Brogino's has delicious food, a friendly wait staff and an adorable atmosphere. The decor is very excentric but it adds to the experience! Instead of normal bread sticks you get unlimited freshly made garlic bread! They do not skimp on anything here, very generous portions! They also have the best fettuccine Alfredo I've ever had. I would also recommend the lasagna. There are a few parking spots on the side of the building, but not too many which makes parking a bit of a gamble.
It's never a bad trip here. Food is really good. Never disappoints & employees are great.
We were visiting from out of state and thought we would try Brognio's and it did not disappoint in the slightest! Food was so good and plenty of it!!! (Only recommendation is they could cut back on portions and charge the same, save them some money). Other than that, Highly recommend going!!!!
We have wanted to try Brogino's for a long time and finally did! The experience was great! So many great choices on the menu that it was hard to choose. The service was great. The food was great and the martinis were amazing!
Brogino’s is a delightful Italian restaurant that perfectly combines a warm atmosphere with delicious cuisine. The inviting decor and soft lighting create a cozy setting, ideal for a relaxed dining experience. I started with their fresh bruschetta, bursting with flavor, followed by the homemade fettuccine Alfredo, which was creamy and satisfying. The attentive service added to the pleasant experience. To top it off, I indulged in their rich tiramisu for dessert. Brogino’s is a fantastic choice for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends. Highly recommended!
Came here last night for the first time with one of my friends and we both were very impressed with this restaurant. This place is small and very cozy with beautiful decorations from the paintings on the outside to the inside. They serve some delicious garlic but we didn’t get to try the soup when we came this visit. We ordered spaghetti and pizza to share both tasted very authentic. Especially the spaghetti sauce! Overall we had a great dinner I can’t wait to come again we will definitely be regular clients of this establishment!!!
Omar is amazing. Fast, attentive, and the right amount of personality that makes me feel like I better enjoy my meal or i will have my neck cut clean open. Lucky for me, the food is amazing! The cocktails on par if not better! This is our usual spot and i cant think of a better place for atmosphere and staff.
This restaurant is a treat! Tiny and friendly service. Great decor. The chicken a la Napoli was delicious and the serving was enough for lunch next two days. Also they have large wine glasses and give you a decent slug!
This place was exceptional. The customer service was above par and the elegance of the restaurant was homely. The food was authentic and had a blast of flavor. Please come check them out it’s a great atmosphere. The only thing I can say that was bad about it was certain customers and comfortability with those customers. So out of the company’s hands , this place was very welcoming . Will return!
Really enjoy this place, small intimate atmosphere, greeted well by staff. As I was seated I was asked what would I like to drink, drinks were brought promptly. And timing of ordering of food was great. I ordered a pizza and linguine and clams, and taste buds were greeted with a party to my mouth! Ambience great, staff awesome, and food….Tasty, tasty tasty. Too bad I got full, I would have finished my meal. But, I get a revisit with food to go, can’t wait till I have my left overs, will be returning……..can’t go wrong with a place such as this, thank you, Tony, Omar and team Broginos you all are attentive/friendly staff. Grazie!
family and community atmosphere is the icing on the cake for extraordinary and classic Italian menu with unexplorable choices like how many times can I visit and still want to try another thing on the menu besides my order. take out lasted 3 days of delicious meals
Had an amazing dinner here last night. This was the first time we have been since COVID and they did a nice job with their outside table set up, with heat lamps if you needed them. The service was amazing as always, Omar is the best, he ensured we were well taken care of. I had my go-to favorite here, “Something Different”, which is a Scallop and Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo dish. Their Alfredo sauce is sooo good! Nice wine selection also and I saved room for some Spumoni ice cream for dessert.
Olive Garden’s slogan “ when you’re here, your family” should really be applied to this place. Such a warm environment. Loved every second of it.
Went there food not good but they started advertising that they did updates and the dishes they presented on the web looked better so decided to give them another chance. Let me say that it was 150 percent better. Loved the food and the mixed drinks. The staff was attentive and very friendly. I recommend this place.
I was in L A for my Niece’s graduation at Pepperdine. We searched out an Italian restaurant with good reviews and at the top of the list was Brogino’s. We were very happy that we chose to go there! The food was delicious! The atmosphere and the service were great! Omar was amazing!! I would definitely go back!
This is a really nice, cozy restaurant with great Italian food and wine. It is kind of a landmark, having been here for many decades, and it is easy to see why it continues to maintain its popularity. It has a romantic feel to it with its authentic decor, so I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a lovely, romantic setting in which to dine! It could even be good for a proposal, although I wouldn't be surprised if some of the staff and customers didn't wind up overhearing!
Brogino’s is a terrific Italian restaurant. We always have the most delicious food and fantastic service. The mushroom ravioli with the Marsala sauce is to die for and the cream sauce with ham and peas is what dreams are made of! We also love their salad house dressing, Recently we celebrated a birthday in the outdoor dining area and it was perfect. Nice tables, lights, and service as usual is impeccable.
Omar was an awesome server, the food was delicious. Home made bread was devoured by the table. The pesto is delicious, but my favorite was the lasagna. Next time we are in the LA area I'll be back.
Great restaurant. Good for groups and sharing dishes. Very friendly staff.
Broginos is a gem. From the moment you walk in, you can tell it's going to be a special experience. The atmosphere has an old world feel with art, great lighting, and deep robust colors. The server was attentive, but not crowding. I ordered the Combination Parmigiana. This combination is a medley of breaded proteins topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. In addition to the complete order, which comes with soup, salad, and lots of bread, this entree also comes with a side of spaghetti! My entire experience at Broginos was a delight and I highly recommend it.
My son and I were 1st timers and glad we went. The atmosphere was nice, the food was great, real homemade taste and plenty of it, at reasonable prices. Service was spot on. We'll be back. Martini was smooth.
5 stars on service is not enough. Our server, Omar, was very attentive, very polite, and had such a wonderful time to have. The food was amazing and delicious. Looking forward to our next visit within a week. Thank you Omar.
What to say. I had spaghetti and meatballs, it came with garlic bread. I wish it was cheaper. It can't be in the economy of the last 4 years. My service at the bar, perfect. Spaghetti and Meatballs, with meat sauce. I ate it all. I don't make my meatballs like this, I did not come out for my food. Meat sauce was fine. Spaghetti nicely cooked. Garlic bread came with dinner, simple bread, not fancy sourdough or Italian. It eas good I will be back, I live close
Beautiful spot with very cozy interior. Not only was the food delicious, but the service is EVERYTHING. Omar is the best thing since sliced bread, be prepared for a taste of sass and class. Definitely stop by if you’re in Redondo Beach, you’ll leave with a warm stomach and an even warmer smile!
It's a great place. Portions are large, not a large place but just enough room to enjoy yourself. Staff is always great. Bar is relatively small if you want to sit there. Ala Carte is an excellent option unless you can eat a lot.
They added outdoor dinning, wanted to support local. Had a wonderful dinner. The food was great as always, tried Italian stir-fry. It was so good! Along with the soup, salad, bread and a little libation. It was a great atmosphere. Service was good. Everything was safe and enjoyable!
100% recommend this gem! An authentic Italian experience with some of the best Italian food I’ve had in a long time …. Traveling to LA from Ohio and was so happy with this amazing place!
Had the Ravioli, Manicotti and Lasagna Combination Plate. Came with tourine of Vegetable Soup, Salad with Vinaigrette and Garlic Bread. Food was delicious. Customer service was excellent. Really enjoyed the food. Will definitely have a meal there again.
Came in right before the kitchen closed. Service was amazing but not as amazing as the food if that is at all possible. My lady and I enjoyed our experience and chose to make this one of our gems.
Delicious dinner with family tonight! Everyone enjoyed their meal - from simple angel hair pasta with butter & romano cheese to pasta primavera; done correctly! My sister hasn't found any better primavera back East where she lives! 🍷😎🍝👍

Delicious food and service was even better. Omar the server was so attentive. Give him a good tip.
Whenever in the LA area, Brogino's in Redondo Beach is a stop for us for Italian food. We live on the east coast, so Philly Italian food is a regular specialty for us. Brogino's is right there in terms of quality. Omar and Jeanette are special people. Our visits are always better because of them. Great hosts.
New to Redondo Beach. Passed a few time by Broginos had a birthday to celebrate, so decided to make reservations at Broginos. As soon as I got there, I was greeted by the staff. my party of 4 where seated promptly Due to the reservation I noticed right away by the ambiance reminded me of little Italy back east. From the tablecloths and the décor. As we were seeded we were promptly greeted by The server Omar.. we ordered a bottle of wine as the server was popping The cork and pouring the wine. He proceeds to go over items on the menu. Explaining any concerns we had or questions. He was very polite and nice, even though one person in our party was ordering off the menu. The food was bought out very promptly salad first, then the soup the salad was very cold and crisp. With a nice Italian dressing. The soup was vary good as well. The entrees were delicious. I had the chicken piccara very much recommend it. The server omar was very professional As we finish the night with one more bottle of wine. I can highly recommend Broginos restaurant.
This lil mom n pops restaurant is to die for. Omg I'm not a fan of italian food but son is. We stopped by 1 time and we keep coming back. We are from OC and the drive to get us some good food is so worth it. Highly recommend. Food is off the cart. Service is excellent. Timing is perfect. Nothing bad to say about them.
Had such a great time at Brogino’s! Omar was an awesome bartender; I asked him to come up with something more fall themed, and he absolutely delivered. The drink was perfect, and the ambience was just as good. Great neighborhood restaurant and bar… definitely worth checking out!
Went with a friend who goes a lot. It was kinda like going to Cheers. Everybody know his name and he knew them. We sat in a both in the bar area. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. Probably one of the friendliest places I've been in a long time. Has a great menu and what I had was delicious.

Absolute gem of a restaurant. Large portions of classic Italian favorites. Great atmosphere.
This place is great I keep going back the staff is always friendly parking is a little tight cute little boots they do have a bar and a really sweet patio if you can get to it ask for it. Little pricey though but the proportion sizes are huge so come hungry like a bear
Cozy establishment with a large menu of Italian dishes. I ordered the chicken & scallop parmigiana. It came with a meatless soup that was refreshing & also a salad accompanied prior to the main entree being served.
Fun atmosphere, good food, great bar. It's the kind of place you hang out out and have a long, relaxing dinner with friends. Love the old school Italian service and atmosphere.
First time ordering from this restaurant. Good was GREAT everything was fresh and very tasty! Both of our plates were on point, deliciously cooked, warm bread as well. So nice!!! Unfortunately the very short time I spent in there wasn’t. The guy behind the bar was somewhat arrogant. I asked about an order placed online and he responded that if there were any, it’ll be standing at the bar. He said there was none and turned his back. I young man approached the bar and very nicely asked if I needed help. The first guy I talked to was whispering to him while showing his back. I did take that as being disrespectful. However the second guy asked my name and my meal was actually standing there at the bar. You should always treat all costumers as if they were the first. Aside from that food wise, 100%
It was late and we were looking for a homemade meal, wanted Thai but all the Thai restaurants near us were closed so we settled for the next best thing, Italian. The food was delicious, the Alfredo sauce was more watery than anticipated. However, the portions were ample as we expected. Would dine in next time to get the full experience as they offered indoor and outdoor service with social distancing due to Covid-19.
Feel like having a meal at home, because every dish here is so simple while with a lot of hearts 🥰 Caprese here served by Brogino's is flavorful, the sliced tomatoes, the mozzarella, the basil, and the sprinkles of Parmesan cheese, and of course the olive oil and vinegar, ideally blended together, you will not stop having the next pile of it. For main dish, I ordered Chicken Piccata, made of thinly pounded, flour-dredged chicken cutlets in a tangy sauce of butter, white wine, lemon juice, and capers, finished with fresh parsley. Never tasted caper-based sauce, so light and fresh while you can enjoy the rich chicken breast, OMG, you have to come here for it. One thing worth mentioning is the interior decorations here, so old fashioned Italian style, kind of like movie.
Cozy, classic, Italian traditional place. Good quality service. Big portions of home-made taste food. They make their own bread and it is fantastic. Menu has a great selection. Not super cheap, but very fair prices, please note that “a la carte” is just the dish, and “complete” comes with soup and salad. For places likes this is that I love the South Bay.
The ambience outside is great. The food was better than I remembered as it's been some time since our last visit. We already talked about going back. Our server, while very attentive and personable, needs to do better with his mask. All other staff I saw were 100%. A bit surprised that they haven't converted to paper menus.
Reliable, local Italian restaurant with an expansive menu. I liked the fact that there were so many regulars dining while I was there. The servers seemed to recognize everyone, which was great. The food was tasty, it just didn't blow me away or anything.

They need more people working there because the service took too long to get our food even our drinks but other than that the food was excellent
What a wonderful local spot. Quiet. Good conversation with our dinner. Minestrone was very tasty. And our salad was tossed at our table. Dressing was light. Main dish was very good and generous portions. Lemoncello truffle was magical.
This place has been here since the 70s and the food has been consistently serving authentic Italian. It’s not a big establishment. The lower rating comes from the parking, delayed service & food wait time. On our last visit on a weekday, they seemed understaffed. Two servers (one was also the bartender) for the whole place about fourteen tables. Took 10 min after being seated to have the server come by to take drink orders. Server was apologetic and was pleasant but after taking drink orders, took another 10 min to get them. He was running around handling so many tables , it took him a while to return for food order. After taking order, he said kitchen was backed up but would get it as soon as possible. (Table across had the same issue of slow service). Food- Table Bread products came out as often as requested. Not what I would call classic garlic bread but fresh. They also had pizza flavored pita bread slices. Entrees are generous portions & very good tasting. What I would call authentic. If you order the meal, you get a tasty bowl of minestrone soup and a dinner salad as part of your meal. Their marinara with meat sauce is one of the best in the South Bay. Dessert of tiramisu was underwhelming as it served in a cup for $14.95. Overall, I liked it, I didn’t love it! I wanted to but can’t!

Food was good but the service was pretty terrible. We were one of 3 couples there and we only had about 3 interactions with the waiter and it felt like they wanted us to leave.
Not as good as you would think. Opens at 4pm. The service is very hit or miss. The cook once had to ring the bell several times to get the attention of the server to get my food with only about 6 patrons in the restaurant. One of the servers has some weird arrogant attitude (I don't think she works there anymore though). Also had a few occasions where our order was wrong. The alfredo sauce is way too thick and pretty bland. The garden sauce they have is very nice though. Good salad and minestrone soup.
Made reservation for group of five to celebrate a birthday. Waitress sat us at table for four. I asked a waiter if this was where we are to sit and he said we have a table for your group of five over here so we moved. Waitress took drink order of four beers. One was not having a beer. (She reported the beer were requested were out of stock so we changed our choices). She brought five. I told her no, we ordered 4. We ordered the combined meals that come with Bread, soup, salad, side of pasta, entree, and dessert. At one point a second side of pasta was brought for three of us by a different waitress. I told her we already received our pasta side dish. She said we get two sides of pasta with our meals. But only three of us? Didn’t make sense. When our waitress brought our entrees to use we were too full and asked for to go containers. I asked for five as there are five of us. She brought them but only three bags to carry them in. I asked her for five. She didn’t understand I guess that we were from five different homes and would each take our left overs to our own homes. After having dessert the table was cleared and she brought the bill. She charged us for five beers though we only had four. I just paid the total as she didn’t return for me to ask her to adjust the bill. The place seemed disorganized and the waitress a little scattered brained. The atmosphere was wonderful. The food like mama would make. Pasta over cooked. Same meat sauce for each dish so flavor is the same. The service not so good. Maybe they were not prepared for the number of customers they had for dinner on New Years. This was my first time here and I will probably try them again. Sad to be over charged.
Atmosphere: I enjoyed the cozy, family setting Service: friendly, hospital, flexible, and great Food: fair. For that price point, the entrees were small. The Chicken Florentine was tasty and crisp but only included two chicken breasts. Osso buccon was fairly good but had more bone than meat. The meals included house salad which was fresh, but the soup and pasta accompanying them were overly salted. Garlic bread was okay.

They should sell wine cheap to allow the food to be tolerable. $3 for a bag of cheap lipton tea The soup tasted either canned or sitting on the stove too long. Why? Over salted with bland vegetables Judging by the way the chicken was cut, I suspect it was previously frozen (soft edges where cuts were made accompanied by a bland taste) Their chefs need to learn how to cut vegetables. One example is the asparagus on my dish contained a fair amount of the fiber-y stem (which is a pain to eat and the body gains nothing from it). I honestly feel they dim down the lights so you do not notice the poor presentation of the dishes they serve.
I've eaten in many fine Italian restaurants! Avoid the manicotti. After several attempts, it continues to lack any character. Thick greasy bottom noodles, very little ricotta and overpriced. Sauce is pretty good but cant cover up the lack of care given to the rest of it. Atmosphere is quaint but this item continues to disappoint. Good luck...
Low Quality. Ordered pasta with Carbonara Sauce ($20). The chopped ham described on the menu was chopped up deli sliced ham... it could have been Oscar Meyer ham for all I know!!! The other dishes ordered were mediocre at best. Over priced. I'm definitely questioning the good reviews on here. I am being nice and giving 2 stars because the people working there have been nice enough.
Overpriced and very disappointing. The food is tasteless not what you expect from Italian restaurant, especially for the price you pay (over $28 a plate). The soup and salad they serve is fine. The food portions are big. Pizza (tasteless) the crust was too thick with too much cheese.
I was very disappointed with our dinner tonight. The calamari tasted burnt, and our Chicken Parmesan and Shrimp tasted burnt also, I think they should check the breading that they use. There was not enough servers on, too handle the busy time.
Everything was good. The only thing they don't respect reservations made in advance, I have family from out of town, and the girl with the curly hair had told me you made 30 minutes ago so is who is here first and walk away than send some else to serve our table.
Honestly I really didn't like the food. Came here for my mother's bday thought it was going to be great because of all the reviews, but I don't know if it was because it was really busy for a Monday night and they got behind. But the restaurant itself was very nice, the employees were great but the food was not! Our soup was very salty, I ordered the shrimp asparagus and it was very watery not much flavor. Everything was overcooked the shrimp and the asparagus, my mothers order was drenched in oil just overall not good probably won't come back.
I recently took the leap to start my own business and my boyfriend and I chose to celebrate at Brogino’s, since I love Italian food. We made a reservation and walked into the restaurant and were disappointed when no one greeted us. After several minutes, my boyfriend asked the bartender if we could be seated and he acknowledged us (finally) but we ended up waiting a few more minutes before being seated. They seemed short-staffed, which I understand can be challenging (I worked as a server for 5 years), but it was frustrating to look over and see a man we assumed was the manager casually chatting up a couple at the next table while we waited several minutes to be greeted by our server and then waited for our drinks (water and a bottle of champagne). The food was disappointing (i.e., salty and basic - similar to a frozen meal from the grocery store) despite ordering two dishes off the “House Specialties” part of the menu. I’m truly not a picky eater and I wanted to enjoy the food but it just wasn’t good. Overall, though we wanted to enjoy the night and the unique ambiance of the restaurant, our experience was ruined by both the poor service and the disappointing food. I can’t recommend this place as it is. Maybe under different ownership or management?
We literally waited an hour for the main dish. The service by Omar was pretty bad last night. Initially Omar had us waiting 10 minutes while he was visibly having conversations with all the surrounding tables. I get that you have to form relationships with your customers but do you have to keep new customers waiting for 10 minutes? Then once our order was taken, we were brought the wrong drink order. I asked for club soda and not Pelegrino. Then I was charged for both. All tables that were seated after us were served before us. Once Omar realized we had not been served our food, he ran to the back and proceeded to microwave the heck out of our food. The food had been fresh up until it was sitting around for 10 minutes while Omar was sweet talking his chums at the neighboring tables. There is a huge difference between fresh hot food and microwaved food, FYI. I do not recommend this restaurant.
On Sunday the 23 the family and I went to Brogino's a Resturant that I have been eating at for decades. I ordered one of my favorites Scalops over angel hair. Right off something seemed off. The scallops that use to be the size of a fifty cent pieces were now the size of a quarters. Worse than that, they were flavorless. I suspect maybe they were frozen as opposed to fresh. I really should have asked! The butter and garlic sauce was so heavy with capers that is all I could taste butter and capers. Anyway, I was very disappointed. I'll try the again but next time I'll send the meal back if it isn't any better!

This place deletes negative comments on Facebook. It's the lowest forum of tweeking reviews that exists. The food here is horrible. You might as well get Stoffers. I have tried this place over my 20 years in the neighborhood. My last experience was tonight. It will be my last experience for a while. We waited almost 10 minutes for a seat even though the place was less than 1/2 full. My kids were ready to leave, but I really wanted to eat in this type of restaurant. I spied the Sam Adams draught beer pull while we were waiting and ordered one when we sat down. I got a bottle of beer. They have the taps but have stopped selling draught beer. My wife ordered the house Cabernet. I tried it and it was excellent. The bread basket came and my kids had to be stopped from mowing it down. It is a step above from loaf bread and butter that many other places serve. The soup they serve is fine. The side salads must have been in the refrigerator for a full day. The lettuce was wilted and the tomatoes were rock hard. Then the main courses came. My son didn't like the pizza. The crust was too thick and there was too much cheese on it. The Chicken Chianti was overflowing with mushrooms and sauce but it couldn't cover the dried out piece of chicken it was poured over. My Veal Parmesan was dry and tough as shoe leather. It is really a shame that this place can't get a chef rather than a cook. For the prices they charge they should have someone who knows how to cook and supervise others in the kitchen.
This quaint little Italian restaurant is so picturesque but disappointing in a few ways. My boyfriend wanted to eat Italian food so I recommended this restaurant to him. We ordered the lasagna and the Cioppino, which comes with soup and salad if you order the entree. The soup was extremely salty, and so was the Cioppino. The garlic bread was not baked enough and had an undercooked texture. The lasagna contained on layer of pasta and too much cheese. The Cioppino, which is a seafood stew, was overcooked. The fish was rubbery and very difficult to chew. The service was very delayed, causing a backup of customers at the door who were cramped together. My overall experience wasn't a negative one, and I don't think we'll be returning.
Waited for our server to come for 35 mins before we decided to just walk out. I can understand a long wait if the place is packed, but there were only 5 tables for 3 waiters, our waiter even started taking an order from a couple that got there after us. On one of the at least 5 times he passed by us we overheard him talking about a big party that was on the way, I guess he was too busy making space for that party of 9 that called in, guess 9 is a better tip than 2. Table next to us waited a long time to get him to take their order too, they were lucky the hostess passed by and noticed. TIP to you, if you still decide to go there and see they have big tables just save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else, you will be ignored 🤦♂️🤷🏽♂️
Ordered food, was told 25mins, showed up in 35mins, stood around for 15mins before anyone acknowledged me. Food was ready but didn't get it for another 10mins. Asked if I had got everything, was told yes. Once I got home I realized I had not and was forced to return. The food was cold. The cheese had actually hardened. Paid for extra shrimp and got a total of 5. Will never go back.
Might be a good spot to go to and sit at the bar for a drink, but that’s it. Far from family friendly, 2.5 hours start to finish for a pizza and veal parmigiana. Epic fail. Bus boy was on point though.
Long story shorts, the food is tasteless (not what you expect from Italian food) the food portion is big though. No manners from the waitress we got. Definitely not kids friendly, not a fancy restaurant either. Clearly we were not welcomed there, not sure why it was; having a kid with us, not being white (all other costumers were white although everybody that worked there were not) or just simply the waitress had a bad day. Whatever reason was behind it we will never go back!
Overpriced & very disappointing. Waited half an hour despite having a reservation with no apology. Waited at the bar and took nearly as long to get a drink. Payed over thirty dollars each for one meal with frozen prawns and one with minced clams! Had to ask for garlic bread which he had ordered and came out towards to end of the meal. Salad was warm and soggy. While our server was fine he was not attentive and long wait between courses. Not authentic Italian.
Really disappointed in the customer service. Had a double birthday dinner reserved, for a party of 6. Had called twice to confirm. When we get there, the staff had clearly totally forgotten or neglected to write it down, and tried to split our party to two tables. It was just very disappointing as we looked forward to the food and ambiance and celebrating together, but alas. Zero empathy from anyone on their team, though.
Last time I'll come here. Ruined our plans for our date night dinner. They do not respect resevations at all... So do not expect to be seated at the time you reserved.I made a reservation for 7:30 and they were just attending people for reservations for 6:30 and sat them. They said it'll be about a 20 minute wait after everyone has been waiting on line. 1 hour and a half later they are barely sitting people. We still had people ahead of us. I understand they get busy, but they should have better management of their resevations and be mindful people's time and plans. Also their host should have been honest about the wait. Our whole evening ruined for poor management. They never checked back to see how we were doing or assured of anything. So we left. It shows how little they care about their customers.
