This place has a great variety of sandwiches and wraps, plus they have homemade soups made daily. The staff is friendly, fairy priced eat in or take out.
Awesome place for coffee. Nice atmosphere, friendly Team Members, good coffee, and outstanding sandwiches. Today was our first time here, won't be the last.
Excellent sandwiches and salads - our first visit based on recommendation by a friend; we were not in the least disappointed and will be back!
Been going here forever. Consistency is key and they have it.
Haven't been here in a long while. Lovely choices of breakfast and lunch sandwiches and salads and soup. Prices so reasonable!! LI bagel is everything 😁
This is a true gem in the Binghamton Community! All aspects of Nezuntoz are 5 stars from the food to the workers! They do an amazing job every single day!
Delicious food, super comforting feel of the cafe. Everything is fresh . Highly recommend it to everyone (try the t.ruth sandwich, you’ll love it)
They have excellent panini with exceptional bread (which I believe are sourced from a bakery in Ithaca) and coffee! The sandwiches are made to order so there's sometimes a wait but it's worth it!
This place is fast becoming my go-to sandwich shop. Their soups salads and sandwiches are among the best in town, and they have great coffee. The value on bagels and breakfast here is intense... The decor of this place is great, seems to fit the parlor city feel. If you are feeling Panera then you should come here; not only is it better but it is a local establishment as well. Only sandwich they do not have is a Reuben. When a Reuben is on the menu I will be forcing people to eat here at gunpoint.
The waiters and servers are very courteous....that is important as I'm sure they meet "all types" of people in character. The food is delicious.....always fresh, which is always a plus! Also, the bread toasted the way I have requested. My favorite is the grain bread with scrambled eggs and ham!
It's a little pricy but I maintain that its worth every last cent. Looking for something simple? Grab a cheddar begal with onion and chives cream cheese. In the mood for something more? Try out one of their fantastic speciality sandwiches. Of course they have coffee and juice if that peaks your interest but the food is unbeatable. I have never had a bad experience, between the great eats, trendy atmosphere, and fantastically friendly staff, this place is 100% worth a try.
The food is delicious. The latte was well-made. There's tons of flavors avaliable. The aesthetics of the cafe is nice inside. The food has creative names too.
Great food at reasonable prices served by folks who really care about what they are doing.
I don't know where they get their bread from, but it isn't the surrounding area (thank goodness). These sandwiches (especially their delicious chicken salad with fresh peas) and breakfast goods are made with fresh hearty ingrediants and the quality is unbeatable for the area. I found this spot when I was almost finished with college, but if you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in for breakfast or lunch. They also have local artwork for sale and are attached to a supermarket.
Delicious salads, sandwiches and coffee! The bread was fresh and yummy. Would definitely go back. The only downside was it was very chilly dining in for a 60° day.
Great coffee and friendly service. I stop by every weekday for a cup. I haven't tried any of the food but the menu looks amazing.
My favorite place for sandwiches! My fave is the White Shadow on a panini, followed by the Grinch. I also love their nutella-filled croissants and their deli salads.
Love their sandwiches and their breads and pastries are always fresh! Their tasty smoothies and iced coffee will keep you cool all summer long.
Fantastic food, and the staff is super nice. The menu seems overwhelming because of all the yummy sounding options, but staff is super helpful and patient. Also, best latte, yum.
We went to try the paninis, but will be coming back for the smoothies (and might as well order a panini too!). Everything was delicious and fresh. The service is super fast and the flavor is way better than any fast food!
It's a great little shop, the food is good (especially the bagels), the prices aren't bad, the people are nice, and whoever does the artwork is amazing! Its a great idea to go there for some sandwiches.
Knees n toes! our beloved neighborhood cafe, perfect lil spot for breakfast/lunch/brunch... I sure miss their bagel sandwiches!
We always love stopping here. The Vestal Veggie sandwich is delicious, and still great after all these years. The kids love it too!
My husband brought me here for the first time. I got hot chocolate with peppermint and the Huevos con Queso. The bagels are light and delicious. I didn't have to chew through thickness to eat it. I'm a new fan!
Love this place. Awesome foods and awesome personalities. Lindsey and Ryan (manager and staff )are the greatest even when it's during the busy moments of their hour, they still take time to make sure you're pleased and acknowledge your presence. I can't say enough, but ,Thank You ! Nora 😊
Super expensive. Super honest about good vegetarian food, without too many frills, and their meat eating friends can enjoy too. Don't worry though, if you miss the general ennui and a hipster's angry stare of other veggie places, there's always the number 5 across the street and a waft if the occasional clove cigarette.
Foods always great the environment is awesome but the gentleman working the counter is extremely rude. I asked for an estimate on wait time and all I got was attitude and "A good long while" . He couldn't even give a rough idea on how long it would take. He was rude the previous time I was there when I had a hard time pronouncing a menu item. He's very distasteful. Get someone nicer to take orders. Otherwise the spot is a 10/10
This has been my go-to lunch spot for 3 years. Everyone is always super friendly and I've never had a bad sandwich. The flavor combinations are unexpected yet all work very well. I'm moving out of the area and this will be one if the places I miss most.
If you’re looking for fresh food to eat then this is the place you’re looking for. There is something for everyone to enjoy! The atmosphere is great. I have been going to this place for a decade now and the only thing that has changed is how much better it gets overtime! Their breakfast sandwich the Adirondack is by far my favorite, it’s my go to favorite food. My husband also loves this place too, well only cause I turned him on to it of course! :)
Love coming here for the occasional work day. The people are always friendly and helpful. My fave order is whatever their gigantic iced Chai is called. The (Pizza? Flatbread?) is not good IMO but I cna be picky. The bagels, however, are always great. A good bagel sandwich can't go wrong. Lots of seating, and decent internet for occasional remote work.
I just went yesterday it was so good they were extremely friendly and quick I definitely will be going back
the bagels are amazing!! they are always fresh, and they have a great selection, and the smoothies are the best in this area!!! they have a great menu of fresh fruit to mix and match, and for 2 bagels toasted w/cream cheese and 1 large smoothie is less than $12!!!! go and get some! they are awesome sauce!!
Best sandwich spot in Binghamton. Great selection with ingredients you can feel good about. I'm always ordering something different and have never been disappointed. They also cater! They have catered for my office on multiple occasions. Always friendly staff. This is a must for Breakfast/Lunch.
Good ambiance, good food... Gives you a really nice cafe feeling to hangout alone or with friends during brunch time.. The reason I like this cafe is because of a few really tasty VEGETARIAN options I get here. It is one of the best cafes in the area. If you go here, freshly squeezed orange juice is must try.. little overpriced but quite good.!
Excellent sandwiches and matcha. This cafe is a hidden gem, I wish I found out about it sooner.
Always one of our favorite breakfast/lunch spots when we're in town. The quality has never wavered in the ten years we have been going. Delicious coffee and a great selection of breakfast sandwiches and lunch options. We highly recommend you give it a try!
Awesome cafe. This is a great breakfast/lunch spot. There's plenty of seating area if you want to stay in, but you can also take your food to go. The sandwiches are very reasonably priced and theres plenty to choose from. The staff was very helpful in providing suggestions. They also have smoothies which are really good, I definitely recommend. Overall this place is really good and I would go back
Great experience. It is one of the best places in town to have a decaf latte and attend meetings. The paninis taste good. Vegeterian options are also available.
Good selection of coffee and breakfast / lunch foods. Friendly staff. Nice place to have a quick meeting. Easy parking and nice atmosphere.
My favorite lunch place! If you’re a vegetarian, the Vestal Veggie is TO DIE FOR. It sounds ridiculous but I dream about that wrap, it’s just perfection. The staff are always so welcoming and personable, and they make great food/drink recommendations!
I’m a local here and their sandwiches are some of my favorite lunches. Bagels are also great! It’s like a little bit of Ithaca in Binghamton.
This is a hidden gem!! They have the most delicious food. So much to choose from. Everytime I go I have the soup and sandwich and the soup is some of the best soup I've ever had! If you get the chance stop by and try yourself !!! Highly recommend!!!
Soooooo good! My first time ordering food and coffee here, and my husband and I couldn't be happier. I plan on coming back for more ... Tomorrow! 😁 Not sure why this place doesn't get 5 stars.
Omg the sandwiches are amazing. A coworker took me there to try their hungry hiker sammy. It was life changing. I love how warm, soft and simultaneously crunchy the bread is. Wish I could have a bit more avocado, but it was magnificent, cant wait to go back
We love this place! They perfectly toast my bagels. The smoothies are great. The atmosphere is great and so are the people. We always stop in if we're in the area.
Unassumingly delicious! Seriously, no hype here, the food is amazing. Me and my wife got the Turkey Torta (cold) and Boxcar Beef (hot) sandwiches. Both sandwiches were full of flavor and a filling size. The price for an average sandwich is about $15-16 but totally worth it! Treat yourself and stop by.
I absolutely love all the employees and owner; I have been a patron for 10years. Ryan always makes the best filthy Chai’s!! I highly recommend the scones, breakfast sandwiches, and salads. Thank you for the laughs and kindness.
If you're looking for the perfect blend of delicious food, exceptional coffee, and genuinely warm service, Nezuntoz is the place to go. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a welcoming atmosphere that feels more like visiting a good friend's kitchen than just another café. Let’s talk sandwiches — absolutely phenomenal. Every bite is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether you're grabbing a classic or trying one of their more inventive creations, you can taste the quality in every ingredient. And the coffee? Easily some of the best in town. Rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed, it’s the kind of cup that makes you want to slow down and savor the moment. But what truly sets Nezuntoz apart is Ryan. His customer service is next level. Friendly, attentive, and always upbeat, he has a way of making everyone feel like a regular, even on your first visit. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customer experience, and it makes a huge difference. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed — the kind of place where you could meet a friend for lunch or post up with a laptop and get some work done. It's full of charm, good vibes, and the kind of energy that makes you want to keep coming back. Do yourself a favor and stop by Nezuntoz. Great sandwiches, amazing coffee, and even better people. What more could you ask for?
Nezuntoz is a somewhat hidden gem that delivers great food for lunch! We stopped by on a weekend afternoon, the establishment was not busy. We stopped by Nezuntoz on our outing before hitting the grocery store. We had noticed there was a small cafe here in the past but stopping here to eat had never really crossed our minds until we were already at the grocery store, typically after already eating lunch. We are glad we made the conscious decision to stop on this trip as they did not disappoint! We ordered off the specials menu on this visit, getting a gourmet grilled cheese panini and a Chippy Chix panini. The bread on the paninis was fantastic, and the sandwiches themselves were delicious and full of flavor. We also opted for a few smoothies, getting a strawberry-banana smoothie and a mango smoothie both made fresh during our visit and both delicious. Depending on what you order, cost is a little on the higher side for what you get here, with a sandwich and a smoothie putting you around the $20 mark, but the quality of the food makes the cost worth it. Overall I highly recommend a visit to Nezuntoz! If you have never been, it is truly a gem!
Go to there. Get all the things. ☕ ❤️ I came in during their last hour on a random weekday, after dropping my mom off at the hospital. Not my favorite day to begin with but the gentleman who served me was over the top friendly, funny, and kind. I got an education on the different types of espresso drinks and why this place is the real deal. You can taste the difference when someone who is passionate about their craft makes something, it hits different. Needed and loved it. Wish I could have stayed to try the food but I will be back soon. Thanks for being you!
This is a fun hidden place at the end of a shopping center. I ordered a bagel. The bagel was very good, their bagel is a soft style bagel and mine I ordered untoasted. They offer a green olive cream cheese spread, that was really different and I would get it again, super savory and it was nice on the softer bagel. Their brewed iced tea seemed fresh brewed and was reasonably priced compared to the chains. I would definitely go back and try more of their menu, especially the baked goods. It's a little weird to locate if you're visiting the area as I was, hidden by bushes and a fence from the main road in the plaza. So trust the GPS it will get you there, but it's not easy to see from the road. All you need is to remember is that it's nestled into a shopping center next to the grocery store.
Huge selection of breakfast and lunch fare and lots of vegetarian choices! They're happy to customize items for you. Food is fresh and very tasty, and the staff is friendly and professional. The cafe itself is also a nice open space with a good amount of seating, plus plenty of tables outside.
I love the food and quality of nezuntoz but the staff working there needs an upgrade. If I didn’t love the food so much I probably would have walked out without ordering due to The unfriendliness and attitude of the young woman who served me. Extremely unprofessional.
Good homemade bagels, and Equal Exchange coffee. Food and service was great. Furniture could be a bit more comfortable for better coffee shop feel.
I'm giving Nezuntoz 4 stars because of past visits. Sadly, the owner/manager cannot get reliable help! We have always gotten fresh, quality food from here.
I visit here often. The food is consistently good. I highly recommend the breakfast menu. The coffee is good and moderately priced. They have WiFi and outlets at some tables. Their location next to the Weis, however, makes the location a bit louder and busier at meal times. So, if you are going to work, bring headphones.
Food was delicious. Bread on my sandwich was fresh and so crisp when toasted. Wait was a little long, and prices a little high for just a sandwich. Overall, highly recommend.
Fresh food, great bagels, but a little pricey. They make your bagel how you like it whether you want a lot of cream cheese or just a smear. Cute cafe'.
Enjoyed our lattes, haven't been here for a couple years. One latte had less coffee flavor but we added some from one to the other, all was good.
The menu is mostly sandwiches, panninies, and wraps. Their big plus is the fact that they all have creative, fresh, and delicious combinations that makes you want to try them all. They also have really good fresh squeezed lemonade and some other unique beverages. Yum. Their bagels were actually boiled, not steamed like every other place, and definitely a noticeable difference in the quality, texture, and flavor. But for some reason, they switched to Best Bagels In Town's bagels, which unfortunately are possibly the best around here. These bagels, like all the other locals we've tried, are steamed, resulting in less flavor, less chew, and a dull crust. That's the reason why I dropped them to a four from my original five stars.
Heard this place carried bagels made at College Town Bagels which we frequent when in Ithaca NY. Had a breakfast bagel sandwich which was fresh, hot and served with a smile. These young people are friendly, quick and serve up great sandwiches, wraps and smoothies. Great coffee!
The cutest little cafe ever! It feels hidden away in the mountains which gives a really safe and comfortable vibe. The chalkboard menus are the perfect touch and they have the most flavors available for drinks that I’ve ever seen. Items were a little pricey but I don’t mind when it’s good quality. It’d also be a really nice place to do online work
Good food. Price is a little high, but that probably because it's a healthier selection. Nice cafe vibe kind of ruined by the hard rock music playing. Just doesn't fit.
Our first time here Ok food, excellent service, good ambiance But this is a FIRST for us paying an up charge of $2:50 simply for PRESSING a sandwich , Seems a little too much Or maybe that’s just me
I tried this place for the first time a week or two ago and was very happy with my visit and pleasantly surprised. I was dead-set on the Firenze Wrap due to it's Mediterranean elements and it was a lot blander than anticipated so I definitely felt a cheated out of a $17 price point for it. It tasted like hospital food, but it was a satisfying and filling bite. I have a lot of faith their other food might be a lot better so I'll have to go and try more things and update my review accordingly. For now, the Firenze is not something I'd suggest based on quality and price. What really made this place really shine was the environment and customer service. The interior is super interesting and it's like you've stepped into this cozy little European town indoors with streetlights, an iron fence, then a little stylized townhouse façade on the top section that looks taken out of a quaint Parisian alleyway or Spanish/Italian village. The windows near the bar-stool style sitting areas across the wall are nice and big too, which I personally love - basking near sunny areas just makes me happy. I just didn't expect the charm that this place boasts when coming in. It's also clean, features some deli-style sections with name-brand chips, bottled drinks, then some cream cheeses, pastries, fruit cups, side salads, and more. Not sure if those are just re-sold things or homemade, but very nice either way. I walked up to the counter after admiring the place (it's really hard not to) and the barista was really sweet and he steered me in the right direction as a first-timer. They have a LOT of different flavors, so I was in a bit of a decision paralysis and went with a basic caramel latte. The gentleman taking my order was a zesty guy, maybe a little older (a good sign that you're about to get some elite coffee), and he stopped me saying something to the effect of "Come on, all those flavors and that's all ya got for me?" and he was totally right, I just had no idea what to pick out of all the flavors that I defaulted to being basic. He asked what I generally like (brown sugar, white mocha, caramel, vanilla, mocha, and that I don't like my coffee to taste like a shot of diabetes) and he said "Do you trust me?" and I definitely did. It was done really quick (along with the wrap), like two minutes tops. I take a sip, and REALLY like it. There's some fruity notes, definitely tastes like coffee, maybe a bit on the sugary side but I was happy with it. He tells me he made me CEREAL MILK LATTE. Naturally, I thought how in the WORLD would I ever know to order this because it SOUNDS like a monstrosity, but it was delicious. He told me in it was white mocha, raspberry, and brown sugar, and that marks the time I was pleasantly surprised by this place two times. I highly recommend going here, especially to take it easy and get some work done or to bring someone to hang out if you're looking for a chill coffee date. There's a lot of things to try and the employees are extremely knowledgeable and won't lead you astray. It's charming, unique in all regards (people, food, drink, environment), and I can't wait to come back.
UPDATED: food is very good, the best sandwich is lox time square. BUT I found a hair in my iced chai latte…… quite disappointed, I saw all long hair staffs put their hair up as ponytails, but that’s not good enough….. They have a huge selection and the staffs are very nice! The food and the coffee are great. The only thing is I hope they can have a more specific receipt for people, on the receipt, it doesn’t specify what kinda of up charge I have and the name of coffee.
Both the breakfast sandwich and coffee were average. The staff acted like they'd rather be anywhere else. The atmosphere was nice, though.
The sandwiches are tasty, and the staff is friendly. I was pretty disappointed in the bagels - they advertise they get them from College Town Bagels in Ithaca, but the ones I got from them were just the bready, fluffy factory style ones.
The place needs a good cleaning inside there's dust on all the light fixtures the vents need to be cleaned they're really dirty. When I see things like that it makes me question how clean the kitchen is. The food was very good. Just need to be cleaner inside heavy dust and cobwebs.
Been coming here for awhile now And am always impressed with the food. It’s always very fresh And delicious, however, what I don’t like is them turning their phones off 30 minutes before they even close.
Kind of normal. I ordered a smoothie but it was just sitting on the counter for me for a long time... I guess I should have been listening for it. I had a tofu wrap that was OK nothing major- prices OK.
Warning: make sure you know what you’re paying for!! I recently visited Nezuntoz, and while the food was decent, I was disappointed by their lack of transparency with pricing. They had sold out of bagels, so we were offered the option to have our sandwiches on a croissant or ciabatta bread instead. We chose the croissant, only to find out after paying and receiving our food that it cost $2.00 extra. Additionally, there’s a $1.25 upcharge for cheese on sandwiches, which is listed on the board but was never mentioned to us during ordering. I’ll just bring my own cheese at that point lmao. The croissant sandwich was fine, but for the price, not worth it. If you’re planning to visit, be aware of these hidden fees—they can make your meal more expensive than you might expect! If anyone plans on ordering a breakfast BYOC (bring your own cheese)
Ordered on their website as phone was going straight to busy. Order was displayed as an hour turn around. Only 1 breakfast bagel sandwich and 1 breakfast Flatbread. Ordered 10:20, picked up 11:20. Line was to door. No pickup counter or shelf for quick takeout when ordering ahead. Asked to wait in line behind normal, yet to order, customers. Food was okay, very simple. Nothing super different from if you'd make it at home. Lunch menu looks more interesting but unless you live nearby it's not worth a trip. I work 2 minutes away, but because of their takeout ordering structure, it just won't work for me. I'll never know how long it will take me to pickup my food there even when ordering an hour ahead of time. The food isn't good enough to justify that lack of dependability and wait. If you're having a lazy morning or afternoon with friends that have relaxed expectations, and lots of time to kill, then you'll like this place. It's clean, quality, normal cafe food.
Wonderful, creative offerings that are quite tasty, but every other aspect of the experience was disappointing. Items are relatively overpriced for what you’re getting, if you’re doing take out plan on spending upwards of 20-30 minutes waiting as there is only one person preparing food, and to top it off the guy making sandwiches was relatively curt with me specifically—not to mention, his giant, untamed beard that didn’t seem to be netted from what I could tell, although I wasn’t analyzing him too closely. Also, there is a fee (turned out to be 13% of my order) charged on orders placed via the online mobile ordering, which seems a tad obnoxious. Will likely visit again for the food, but definitely in no rush and will be calling ahead.
Used to be my go to place for bagels and sandwiches. Lately not so much. The menu online is not current, so don't plan your order off of it If you want plain bagels, only way your going to get any is first thing in the morning. They used to have an amazing selection of fresh baked goods, including muffins and cookies. Now its day old croissants and brownies. Staff is there to do their job and that's pretty much it. Pricey for what you're getting. Make sure you read fine print and watch how quickly add on's (cheese etc..) raise the cost.
Drove the extra distance from the national chain. Bagels excellent, unfortunately for the second trip to the store and the second time, you are unable to get your breakfast sandwich the way you like it. "Crisp" bacon means not having to take it off because it is slimy, two trips in a row and four sandwiches total. I think maybe given the pre-formed egg in the sandwich that the base sandwich may be made ahead of time, unfortunate to cap a wonderful Bagel with such mediocrity. Coffee is very good, atmosphere is nice. Frustration is from clarity of order, written down, but execution lacking....can easily achieve 5 stars with attention to detail.
Their sandwiches are tasty, but their portions have shrunk while their prices have increased.
For Binghamton it's not a bad coffee / sandwich shop. They really could use some lessons from CTB/Ithaca Coffee in Ithaca on their sandwiches. Had the buffalo chicken and it was just a chicken breast, cheese and generic hot sauce - no extra flavor or seasonings in the hot sauce. Could have been so much better if even blended with a soft blue cheese or even ranch. Partner got a bar bq chicken special and the sauerkraut was overpowering and more plentiful than the chicken. Also, two paninis, a soda and a tea was $30. The panini bread was really nice though. Some good ideas, but overall a fail. Great location by the hospital will keep them in business though. Decent coffee and nice bagels / breakfast (with egg/meat) bagels .
We got two sandwiches for $48. This didn’t include chips or drink. Sandwiches were bland with little flavor. Service was iffy. Needs a good cleaning throughout. Air vents were covered in brownish dust….not very pleasing to see.
Workers r incompetent. Always rude and dismissive. Extremely overpriced. The sandwiches are always “skimped”- it’s always mostly just bread I end up eating. I hate this place & hope I never have to come back. They suck. Save your money & go anywhere else!!!
Disappointing. Stopped in yesterday for an espresso. What I got was searing hot dishwater. With all thesvideos and all the info on the internet, you'd think someone could pull a decent shot. They may be using a pod machine instead of an actual espresso maker. Either way, don't waste your time.
We had lunch here. My mom is a vegan I’m not. We ordered 2 different sandwiches. The person making the sandwiches made my meat sandwich then my mothers vegan sandwich. He also made a pork sandwich then made my Turkey sandwich I have a pork allergy all without changing his gloves. Cross contamination is so common and it could be avoided with a quick change of the gloves m. We declined to eat after that because we don’t know how many times those gloves went in with the fresh vegetables. Buyers beware.....
Gift cards purchased at this store are not honored due to an issue they had with their card issuer. So those of us that have a credit balance get to pay for the issue. I'm a frequent customer, but will not be back thanks to their ripoff tactics.
Everytime I go in, the food is great but I'm always charged some crazy amount and always have to ask to have it fixed. When they calculated my total for my sandwich which was a turkey sandwich with cheese lettuce tomato and mayo it was 18.50 on receipt with 2 additional 75 cent charges.. my total should have been, with the sandwich being 13.50 like she said, 40.91. Instead I payed 51.20 and she gave me 5$ back after being extremely irritated having to fix the mistake she made. I asked if she wanted my receipt back so it was easier for her to remember/ fix and she snatched it without saying a word brought me 5$. It should have been 9$ refund and when i asked about it because she ran back to the cashier I was told I'd have to ask her. Meanwhile, knowing there was an issue, the manager should have A. Helped handle it properly. Or B. Got the cashier for me considering they push you through and act like they can't fix their own mistake.. like I said good food.. poor poor poor management
If you aren't there really early, you aren't going to get your bagel of choice as they sell out quick.
I’d never been before and had a doctors appointment across the street so just wanted to grab a bite. I went in an hour before close and still the young girl working was very clearly making sure I knew that I interrupted her vacuuming. Another younger girl took my order, the second I turned around to wait for my order -they were laughing. I let it go and waited for my order. The entire time the other girl vacuuming was throwing the metal chairs around, making it clear she was bothered to be at her job. When my food came up, I asked for a side of sauce and said I would pay for and I was very rudely told that I should’ve ordered it when I ordered so I could’ve been charged and to make sure it didn’t happen next time. I have worked as a waitress as my second job since I was 18 years old and I would never speak to or treat somebody so childishly. My food was great but you couldn’t pay me to go back. Today I was actually having an overall good experience at Nezuntoz Cafe and overheard an employee named Ryan discriminating against one of the patrons. I regularly visit the cafe and was flabbergasted to overhear Ryan's response when a customer came in and asked for a fork. Personally it's something I've done plenty of times at plenty of locations across the Binghamton area; however this particular individual was told that he could not receive a fork and that forks are only for customers. My jaw DROPPED! There was no way I was watching someone be discriminated against right In front of me. First of all how many retail employees actually speak with the actual owner of a restaurant and what kind of business owner would insist not to provide a fork. I guess the sentiment was shared because a couple minutes later the black guy returned and asked when was the last time the worker person spoke with his owner . The response I heard made me lose my appetite. This poor man was told "after you last came in and asked for a fork" as if this were specifically targeting that individual. The guy was so nice about it I personally would have made a scene . He's clearly not a homeless person he had on scrubs so clearly he worked at one of the medical facilities neighboring the cafe. But this guy was just set on treating this guy differently . Who would want to visit a cafe with staff members and apparently owners who make up policy's to target specific demographics of people . It's shameful and I hope someone disciplines that employee because I personally don't believe that he ever spoke with an owner . He's just a guy behind a register. I know for certain I will not be returning to Nezuntos nor will my family. The southside deli around the corner has sandwiches for half the price anyway. I can't believe a business would allow someone with that kind of an attitude to represent them In this social climate. Absolutely outrageous.
Wanted to like this cafe but after trying it twice and getting burnt decaf coffee both times it’s horrible. I bought 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees for 60$ which is insane. But, ppl seemed nice and interior was welcoming though
Owner likes to harass customers for bringing in outside beverages. Breakfast sandwich was BEYOND MID. Barely any egg, no flavor and the worst bagel I’ve ever had. Go somewhere that actually appreciates the business and has good food. Would give 0 stars if I could for how bad the service is. Go to Mannis or Bagel factory if you want a good breakfast sandwich!
