Great Vibe!!! Great Music!! I believe most of the people there were 40yrs old & up!!! Food was delicious!! Its a must to get the Fried chicken & OKRA!!! I don't even eat Okra but when Peytons place cooks it I get a large order!! Its crunchy and they put their own seasoning on top!!

Went here late for bite to eat on my birthday! They were under renovation technically closed! Lol! But they treated me and my bestie fabulous! We ate some amazing food and had some amazing drinks!! Man I'm loving the new Improved Peyton Place!! New look new menu!! Its still my go to spot. It's a small hole in th wall but the food is good. Try the fish plate. The fish was seasoned soo good. It helps that there is an older crowd so the atmosphere is very chill.

The new look is awesome!!! Comfy cozy, CLEAN, SPACIOUS, bathrooms are in tact and have much more room, and the food menu is very creative,and the final presentation is just as it taste!!! Awesome!!! My favorite is the shrimp tacos 🥰. Great job on the revamp from the parking lot to the inside of the this cozy venue!!! It's a must try! Oh and might I add the service is friendly and fast! The young lady with the locks is very attractive and greets you with a great personality!! The music is up to date and the wall decor TV's including are a wonderful touch!! If I could give it 12 stars I would!!

Nice place to kick back food and drinks are great. DJ gave a mixture of all genres. My only advice is to get menus or have a way to scan the QR code to view the options being offered instead of sending it to the customers phone via text Message.

It's a cool lil spot. The food is good, but seating is kinda limited. It turns into a lil club/lounge after hours. Music will burst your eardrums if you're not use to extremely loud noise.

J &R is the worst after hour spot. They cater to the young crowd and wait time for food is way too long. I ordered food and it took 2 hours to get my food I asked for a refund and they refused and made me wait for my food. I am very disappointed and will never go back. This is Birmingham the magic city known for food I've lived here all my life and I've never been treated as such. I will never patronize with them again.

I heard so much about this place and was excited to try it. It was the worst service I’ve ever had on 4 continents. This waitress/bartender took my order at the bar. I paid for food and drinks on my cc but not the tip. The waitress assumed I wasn’t going to tip her and decided to go take a BREAK, not place my order or pour my drinks. After 15-30mins standing at the bar watching others place orders and have their drinks poured, it was obvious she directed the others NOT to serve us. The bartender came out 20mins later and other patrons were voicing their opinions about our treatment. The bartender stated “I got them, i was hungry and had to eat”. She could have asked the others to pour our drinks but nope. I have never been treated with such disrespect. I asked for a refund so that I could leave BUT then someone else stepped in and checked on my order. He and many others stood there for 30mins ignoring us and only stepped in because I asked for a refund. I was there for at least 2hrs. The food was too salty to eat including the famous fried okra. The saddest thing is “I’m a big CASH TIPPER”. I was going to tip her in cash before leaving. Patrons should never be treated as I was. I will tell all my hundreds of clients not to patronize this establishment. What a horrible experience.

Waiting 2hrs for 3 pork chop sandwiches. Finally got them. Went home. They were so salty. Could not eat them. Had to throw them away. Wasted $30. We would NEVER eat there again!! Fried okra also salty!! Short staff. Had to close the kitchen to catch up with orders!
