I just want to say that as someone in the customer service profession, this place was a JOY to visit. The owner Mr. Hameed was very warm and kind to my 11 year old daughter, was patient while she looked over the selection, and offered up several samples and suggestions to her. I remember Carvel's birthday cakes fondly from my childhood, and this place with Mr. Hameed as well as his daughter Maryam with their hospitality reminded that those nice places still exist. Go treat yourself and have a cone.

I love the new layout and management. The owner is so nice and professional. New flavors that you cant find in most Carvel shops and great customer service.

My family and I just love to stop by Carvel for icecream. You can never go wrong with Carvel for ice cream, shakes or Ice cream cakes.

You can't say no to these softy ice cream cones and not to mention their ice cream birthday cakes!

Im a wednesday regular customer and boy I must say I do sure love the customer service I get here. I always get greeted as soon as I come and I dont even have to order my food, since the worker Brianna remembers it every time so she automatically makes it for me. She is very nice and my sundae is great everytime I get them, I thank the management since i’ve been coming to this carvel for years and it seems that they do a very well job training the girls to be nice with customers & fulfilling their needs with also keeping the place clean at the same time. Best carvel in Northern Jersey!

One of my favorite stops to make is here at the Carvel. I grew up loving Carvel cakes and to be able to go to the store and enjoy the different treats is awesome. Hussein, Desiree and other team members have been phenomenal, friendly and professional every time we go. I like that they sell small containers of the crunchies since that is one of the best parts of an ice cream cake. The waffle bowls are made fresh at the store. There are specials Monday- Friday. Definitely go visit this store.

This is the BEST Carvel in Northern NJ. We’re celebrating my daughter’s 16th birthday. Being that we’re in a pandemic, we’re scrambling & trying to make this a birthday my daughter will always remember. So on short notice I needed a custom ice cream cake with my daughters favorite colors. Went there on a Friday evening and placed the order, picked my cake up early Saturday afternoon. I would like to thank the staff there for being friendly, understanding & the GREAT service they were able to provide me on such short notice. I’d also like to thank them for the AMAZING job they did on the cake. My daughter absolutely LOVED it!!!

Great service but hard to find parking on Bloomfield Ave. I love that you can order in Uber Eats so the order is ready for pickup.

You can never go wrong with Carvel! I prefer to buy my items in the actual store rather than the cakes already available in grocery stores.

Good ice cream. Seems pretty expensive. Medium soft serve milkshake for $5.50.

Bad customer service. There is this new guy that was recently employed. He is rude and has no customer service at all. I will not recommend this place because of him.😩

Edit: gave them another chance and it's still horrible here. There's one employee, a line almost out of the door and the poor girl is so stressed out, and she also has online orders to do how ridiculous this carvel sucks. Having only one employee is crazy to me

Ordered the Banana Foster Sundae Dasher. It contained a ton of Cinnamon powder which made me cough & ruined the Dasher by making it spicy. Cinnamon isn't part of the recipe or garnishment. I have this all the time so I know plus the description on the menu doesn't include Cinnamon.

Every bad review of this location is beyond accurate. I came to place an order for a custom cake for my birthday. I waited patiently to place my order, tipped the woman helping me for taking my custom order, just to come back the next day and the order was nothing like I requested. The manager was incredibly rude, and said that he was there when I ordered and the cake was what I requested (which he wasn’t there was one person in the store) I asked if my cake could be corrected because I paid in advance, he refused, and his response was not only disgusting, but truly showed he cares nothing about this business. Save your money and go to another location.

The door was already closed at 930 even though the closing time said 10pm.

Please update your Google store hours. This is the second time I tried coming to this location at 9:00pm and I’m told that the store is closed.

I was there seven days ago after an interview, and the employees were not wearing masks behind the counter. One employee told me they were vaccinated, but it should be a requirement indoors to wear a mask when dealing with people's food.

Very displeased with this place, they don’t wear gloves first.. only the ladies wear gloves from what I seen, I got ice cream today and as I’m eating I notice a piece a hair They don’t wear hair nets or gloves.. ew I would not recommend this place.

Second time I go to this place and they have no bananas. There’s literally a supermarket down the street. Get some damn bananas.

Super slow service, went on a Sunday place was empty but spend a good 18 min , the 2 girls working were too busy in a personal conversation to take care of the customers first . Also the serving portion half of the containers.

Horrible. I asked for an OREO Cookie Sundae Dasher for my sister. My sister has severe Allergies to Peanuts. To our surprise we did not get Oreo cookie and it had Peanut butter inside of. She started having a horrible allergic reaction at Watsessing park where she started losing oxygen and her throat was closing. Medical response team was called and she was put in the hospital. If the OREO Cookie Sundae Dasher had peanut butter inside it, it should have been stated. This is a huge health hazard and people with allergies should be very careful.

Later a nice young lady came in she took our order and as we were leaving the same grumpy man was being rude and annoying to her as well.
