I ordered the meatball parm sandwich. This thing is beast. A little light on the cheese though I did ask for extra cheese. Overall very good. Also wanted to comment that the calamari is also delicious. Very lightly battered and not chewy at all. The food has been on point the last few times.
Great restaurant! The food here is awesome! Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly and professional. They had a very wide variety of food to choose from. I thought the prices were very reasonable. We each had 2 drinks, appetizer, dinner and a cappuccino and it came out to roughly $48.00 each. (including a 20% tip and two of us had prime rib!) The portions were just right. Lots of flavor from the food which was obviously fresh and cooked to order. I'm looking forward to going back and trying something else!
Such a sweet spot in the middle of nowhere but close to me! 👏🏽We like to keep it just to ourselves, but they deserve a good review. The GOOD: Eggplant parm is delicious! Never disappoints in the years I’ve gone. Nachos are huge!!! So yummy! Prices are fair for the quality you get. They haven’t priced gouged due to inflation yet. That says something about their awesome management. Staff is attentive, kind, & the spot is always clean and kept well. Food is always hot. Beer is always cold. The SHAMEFUL: I don’t have anything! 😂The restaurant is consistently amazing. I would really love to see it renovated. It could be a stunner if we could see from inside the Mountain View it has to honor its name. Huge opportunity for untapped growth by fixing up the place. If you’re looking for investors to renovate- hit me up! Great job guys! KEEP IT UP!
We have only ever gotten take-out but the staff were friendly (friendlier than other pizzerias around). It's a bit out of the way in a very residential area but since the closest businesses are warehouse related it saves everyone from having to drive into town for lunch. The pizza is delicious, definitely one of the better options in Sullivan/Orange County area. However, what prompted this review is something I couldn't help but take pictures of, and the smell alone was exciting. The real treat is the Chicken Parm Sub, every part of it. The bread is perfectly toasted and a generous size, as well as the cutlets perfectly fried/baked and a generous portion of 2 cutlets. You will not find a single dry bite of chicken or bread. It has a perfect balance of sweet and salty, and I've had my fair share of flavorless chicken parms. I would like a little more flavor in the chicken's breading maybe, bc the sauce is definitely complex enough- that being said, even as a city-transplant this is by far one of the best parms I've ever had in my life yet. They lather the cheese and sauce so that you can hardly stop yourself from devouring it in one sitting, although it's hard to do due to the amount of food this is. A whopping sandwich at an incredible price leaving you feeling satisfied and full.
Food was delicious. The eggplant tower is as good as you can find at a fine dining in Manhattan. What an obscure little place, a great find on Google maps. Still looking for the mountain view. A great conversation name!
Excellent Chicken Parm Sub. Bartender very efficient and freindly. Nice crunchy sub roll with real chicken cutlet lite sauce and ample mozzarella cheese. Pleasingly priced great value. Bar has at least 7 TV's doing various sport venues. Definitely Returning. August 2022... PRIME RIB, Crab Bisque 🦀, garlic smashed and veggies, spot on service. Great Eatery to enjoy Sports TV and Hospitality. Update///11-04-22,,Always check FB page for up to date specials daily. Bo behind the bar knows everyone by name definitely a Cheers type atmosphere. Surrounded by TV's, sports are a highlight. Owner on site and takes great pride in his two locations to serve up the best and freshest meals and livations.
The regular food has always been good. The pizza not so great in the past. That has changed. Whoever the young man is that is making the pizza now...He's doing a phenomenal job. Twice this month I've had the pizza he made. It was great!
The food was great there and so were the people. Everyone was super friendly and they came right to us when we sat down. 10/10 would recommend
Always a cozy, warm, friendly atmosphere. Incredible food, huge salads, the best sweet potatoes fries in orange county at a,great price. Make reservations if your going during dinner hours. This place packs them in.
Stopped here on our way back from Sam's point to long island. Glad we did because the the mini tacos and jalapeno peppers alone were worth it. Pizza was good as well. Don't go to a chain or fast food, support local businesses.
Great atmosphere. The music sets a mood for dining. It's relaxing and nostalgic. There's a bread basket, which is something that has disappeared from many restaurants, and the food is delicious. Staff is helpful and really friendly.
First time I was over there and we'll go there again. Love their Pizza!
Cute place, served for amazing people in the middle of the mountain, but the food OMG, that was the best part; everything was delicious. Me and my friends were gagged for this amazing place
I've been eating here for years. It's our #1 favorite. VERY GOOD food. Large portions. Almost always bring some home. Very reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Always lovecrhe atmosphere. My favorite part is the owners have not done what every other restaurant has done, raised their prices and made smaller portions. Food is always fresh and staff is very attentive
Great staff, delicious food, very comfortable atmosphere!! Bar or restaurant option, both areas are clean and comfy! Relatively quick, and all the food was good!!
What a quaint little place. The food was excellent. The staff was helpful and on top of everything. The prices are great for the quantity. If you go home hungry I would be amazed. Great prices without compromising quality.
I have been coming here for years. The food is done well with very large portions. The dining area is always well maintained. The waitresses are all local and lost are long term, great staff.
Great food and relaxed atmosphere. To go orders are always correct. Good is tasty, well prepared and the portions generous.
Great variety and food quality. The food is a bit pricey, but there aren't a whole lot of options in the area. The calzones here are AMAZING and the burgers are huge. Take out has always been ready when promised.
Great selection, pretty busy place. Have had all sorts of different meals here. Decent prices and good service. Will definitely be back.
Three of us were there Monday evening Oct 11th. The Ribeye steak I had was very good, as was the burger and the broiled seafood platter. Waitress was very good and helpful - a nice dining experience!
Great service, decent prices and delicious food! They have a bar and resturaunt, separated by a glass wall (I think that's cool). I've never been disappointed by the food, they know what they're doing!
For a local place the food is outstanding, service is friendly and professional. The customers are friendly and the atmosphere is warm. I enjoyed being there.
Ok - 5 stars for being a decent restaurant with good food, good service, reasonable price (though not cheap), and generous portions -- in a part of the state where good food establishments aren't easy to find. Fellow diners observed a lack of atmosphere, but the place is always packed and chit-chat all around. Good enough for me.
The food and service here was great. We got steak and pasta and wow! The only thing that would make this place even better is if the seating was facing the view.
Great place foods good service is good.
I've been here many times and it's always a hidden gem. I forget that they serve such fantastic food. I have not had a meal there yet that I didn't like. I had the chicken pesto individual pizza and it was a lot of food. I only ate half and had the leftovers for another whole meal the next day. Excellent and a must try.
First time dining at the mountain view. Not the fanciest restaurant but the food and service were fantastic! Very accommodating staff! Can't wait to return!
Went for lunch on a Friday. We got the Italian hoagie, the Brooklyn sandwich and the flounder with fries. All three meals were delicious, we were not expecting it to be as good as it was. The bread on the sandwiches was crusty and soft and the flounder was golden and crispy. The menu has many options so everyone can find something they like. If you go you will not be disappointed. Will be back next time we are in the area.
Food and service were excellent! Prices were very reasonable. Support your local business!
Absolutely delicious food! I ordered penne ala vodka pasta from here on tuesday as a preparation dinner for college! Love this plus, made me very full! Would come here again when I have the chance!
it is very good restaurant at middletown rural. They have mountain's view so cool for me. Lovely place over there. I just had dinner with my brothers last night, it was so good, good foods, good drinks and good staff, too. Hope you will keep that quality to serve people. Many blessings to all of you on this wonderful season: greeting season.
I got the steak and fries with a French onion soup on the side and everything was out of this world. The steak was cooked exactly the way I asked for it. The fries were crispy to perfection And The Onion soup was piping hot and flavourful with plenty of cheese the way I like it. They also give you one additional refill with any soft drink that you order. All for just a little over $20.
After we lost power in Bloomingburg for a bit last evening, we decided to order out. We had a few bad experiences at this restaurant pre-pandemic, and did not go back. At the time, mostly unfriendly service and “so-so” food. We decided to try it again and we are glad we did. The girl taking our order over the phone was friendly and accurate. The food was nice and hot when we picked it up. When I arrived to pick up our order, the ladies behind the take out counter were friendly and very nice and treated me like a valued customer! The food we ordered which was some Margherita personal size pizzas, calamari, crab cakes, wings, and sandwiches - everything was great! You could tell they use fresh ingredients and decent size portions. Whatever they did was the right thing because they obviously kicked it up a notch. Thanks and keep up the great work. We will be back!
Wide selection of very good food, nicely prepared and reasonably priced. Good service. If you've never been there give it a try. One of our family's favorite area restaurants.
Great food and not bad prices...
This is our local go to place. Food is always good and you never leave hungry. Great, friendly service. We've done both dine in and takeout which are booth good.
A 3-in-1 combination pizza place, local watering hole, and small comfort food/family Italian restaurant. Fine to take your kids to either restaurant - the "sections" make them for the most part separate entities from the bar, and the locals are friendly, unassuming, etc. Food was good, staff friendly, definitely a nice, off-the-beaten-path surprise amidst rural fields with a nice mountain view. Be careful you don't pass it - GPS was dead on, which is good because I drove past it the first time and didn't even notice it.
I was pleasantly surprised with this place. Went here in the spur of the moment with my friends. Good food for a good price. What more can you ask for? There is 2 sides to this place. The left is a bar and the right is main dining. A noteworthy feature of this place was the good choice of music they played. It was one good song after the other, very nice touch. I highly recommend this place
We had a group gathering of 15 people today, Sunday, February 23rd, and everything was superb! The food is delicious, the prices are very fair, the atmosphere is very pleasant. Our waitress, Christy, was outstanding. She is friendly, cheerful, respectful, attentive, and professional in every way! Thank you Mountain View for a perfect time!
I visit the Hudson Valley every couple months & seem to find myself back here every time. I enjoy the atmosphere & large wrap around bar but most of all I enjoy the food and drinks. I always get the wings which are the best around and the drinks aren’t too bad either lol. As far as cost, it is very affordable. If you haven’t been here, you need to check this off your list. It is a hidden gem.
First time having the opportunity to swing by the hidden gem. Friendly people and great food. We had the wings, they were done perfectly and huge. Great favors to choose from! Very filling to share with my husband.
We had a table of 6 with 2 little girls, and Kelly was really patient and nice with the kids and adults too. Had a great attitude and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our food. Food was delicious!!
Always great service, amazing food and good price
Food’s always good. This is a local gem
Usually just grab pizza from there Pizza girls are always very nice very kind very pleasant very sweet try and get you in and out as quick as they can not much else to say the food tastes pretty good
Alas, the mountain view is only outside the restaurant, but it IS lovely. Friendly service. There's a family restaurant connected to their sports bar, which is connected to their pizza parlor which has a billiards table and a takeout window.
The food is incredible. Everything is perfectly done and unique. The portions are pretty big, too. The place is busy, especially on a Friday and Saturday night, so make reservations ahead of time. Because it is busier, it can be a little loud and service a little slower. They are still on top of things, but you might have to wait a couple more minutes than usual. The staff are really nice and helpful. Totally recommend and will be going again.
It’s been at least half a decade since I’ve last been here and ever since I moved, I have been nonstop craving their boneless chicken wings. Not sure how much the recipe has changed if it has changed at all but I swear I could drink a gallon of their mild wing sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking about them!
Great place to eat with your family and friends. Food is really good. Everyone is very friendly
Hands down the Best Pizza around! I live on 17k, 2 seconds from a pizza place (not mentioning name) and thats what they do, they make pizza... I will drive right past and go to Mountain View because there Pizza is so good!! All their food has been great everytime. Thanks you guys!!
Had a great dinner having the crab stuffed shrimp Sunday and went back for lunch this week. Will definitely order both again. Not fancy place but the food makes up for it. Emily and Kelly are an asset to the restaurant
The food is so good. The meatloaf with mash and vegs, pizza, sandwich everything is good.
The rustic atmosphere at Mountainview make it Cozy and welcoming! Service with a smile is what you'll find here; along with a menu loaded with plenty of comfort food choices! Not only will you find classic Italian dinner favorites, they also have a full menu of pizzas ranging from classic to specialty to customized any way you like! The service staff is super friendly, prices are very reasonable, and we've never experienced a delay being seated in their dining room or lounge areas. Fast friendly service! Large screen TV in (lounge only) will keep sports fans happy, and NY Lottery QuickDraw is available as well. All in all a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED dining experience!
This is a very nice small town restaurant, they take very good care of their regulars and are friendly to newcomers. The food is pretty good and they are good about substitutes and switches. The desserts were delightful and the fries were cooked to perfection.
Friendly, locals food and watering hole. If wanting to sit at the huge U shaped bar, get there early lunch or dinner; they have local faithfuls. There is a large and small dining room and a few high tops in bar area.. Food is always good, portions are large and cost is reasonable.
I got the individual size Meat pizza. It was great. Easily enough for 2. The others with me ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Large portion. Only issue was it is a bit noisy.
Kelly rocks! Food is always very tasty no matter what I get. I am addicted to the almond crusted chicken salad and the garlic knots.
Friends and myself have enjoyed eating at Mountain View for a few years now!!! Food has always been good and a number of my friends are regular customers!!! I'm not a" world traveler" so not sure about rating so I'll have choose 4 star
This is an example of a gem set off the main strip who do the important things the right way. Top dishes: Chicken Francaise (can compete with your best Italian restaurant) Reuben Sandwich (get it with Cole slaw instead of kraut) French Onion Soup (Super salty, how I like it) Service level can be a bit slow if the place is busy especially initial contact and drinks. Once your order is in, you'll receive your food with correct timing from the kitchen and enjoy your experience. Staff is polite and attentive when not overly stretched across too many tables.
We came early and were the first people in for dinner. It has a bar, which is separate from the dining area. We both had steak, veggies and a potato. Her steak had mushrooms and onions which were prepared perfectly. The vegetables were delicious and not overcooked as often happens. On Friday and Saturday, you should make a reservation. They have a Facebook page and website where you can find out what the specials are for the day.
Plenty of room, Plenty of parking, the staff was friendly and helpful, the drinks 🍸 were tasty, we didn't have to wait too long for anything. Fun place!
My wife and I had lunch on a quiet Saturday. Steam clam appetizer was excellent, clams very fresh. Next was a vegetable pizza crust ok, sauce a little sweet. Service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant
Great burgers but a little loud. Service was great
Great place! Great food!! Best waitress!! There were 11 of us for lunch...and our waitress didn't miss a beat!! We even had the other folks in the restaurant singing "happy birthday" with us!!! Thank you!! We will be back!!!
We had a very romantic dinner. It's a nice dim lit comfy atmosphere . The staff was courteous and friendly. The food was delicious, the appetizer (fried eggplant tower)was very, very good .the staff had a party of atleast 20 people to attend to as well as several other patrons and our food was still served in a timely manner. Can't wait to return. Thank you for a wonderful culinary experience mountain view. !
The place is a hidden gem. We went on a Sunday evening. Glad we had reservations. The food was delicious. Fair price. We both had a seafood meal that was excellent. We shared an appetizer. Loaded potato skins. Which were nothing special. The service was good. Could have been better. But they were clearly short staffed. We will definitely go back.
Very good food and service , been going there for years , love it great bar and restaurant.
Don't get me wrong, I love this restaurant, but there is a "but." Would be 5 stars if 2 things were fixed. Wait, staff is way understaffed. The ladies that work , I should say the 2 that work bust their butt's and with a smile. HEY, MGRS!!! THEY NEED HELP!!! You can not run a restaurant with 3 separate rooms and only 2 people running food and orders. The person seating people can have a bit more responsibility they cab bring waters and do drink order to help the wait staff out. The second issue stems from the first which is time. You better have 2 to 3 hours to sit and eat. After that the place is great we love the pizza and wings. Their specials are always great 👍 prices are not crazy and you don't go home hungry. I bet others will agree with this review being accurate. If you're looking for work, I bet they would take you. Place is always busy to point of reservation only on the weekends so you can make some great tip money. 😉 Again nothing wrong with the restaurant or the staff they have. The food is well worth it. Just need more help and it would be 5 stars 🌟
My family and I love the pizza, chicken fingers, and fries here. The only reason for 4 stars instead of fries: inconsistent fries. I know it's a nitpick, but it's kind of a bummer that you don't know which style of fries you're going to get any given day. But overall the food is great, the people are nice, and the prices are reasonable.
The food was delicious with very generous servings! My Chicken Marsala was fabulous and the chicken was very tender. I was happy to have leftovers so that it could be enjoyed again. My mom had the eggplant parmesan and also enjoyed it immensely. We stayed awhile catching up with family and not once did we ever feel rushed.
Some of the best pizza and wings in the area but they also have a large menu and delicious specials every other day. Our favorite is the mountain bleu burger and their French onion soup. They don't deliver but the food is always hot when you pick up and I've never had to wait very long for dine in or take out. The staff are always very sweet and accommodating.
I really like this place. It has everything. You can literally go to the bar or get sacked by a hostess at a table. The food was fantastic and the waitress we had was amazing. There was a bartender behind the bar named Peggy. Not only was she friendly, but she was absolutely beautiful. This place I am going to make a regular stop
The food was pretty good, the bartender was our waiter, he was attentive to our needs while waiting on customers. Not too busy.
The food was pretty good. Our waiter was the bartender. He was very attentive to our needs. There is a dining area, a bar area with a few tables and a pizza shop.
Nice family-owned place. Packed for a Friday night, but nice to sOK. Wait staff was friendly and hussled. Family of 6 - all had the prime rib. The larger cuts tasted better, smaller cuts tasted a little too marinated. Would love to have prime rib without marinade. Salads were good as were the mixed drinks. Desert was ok.
I had the fried frog legs.. and I loved them. The only thing they don’t have them anymore.. or they just don’t have them.. at one time my mom had. Spaghetti and meatballs it was horrible. My boyfriend had soup like I did and it was very salty.. everything that night was salty.. every time I go there the food is salty.. but the staff are wonderful. I will keep going back because I know they will be more careful with the salt..
2021-01-15 take out tonight was disappointing. Greek and Cobb Salads were not as ordered, they should revisit what is included in those salads, the chef salad looked great. Personal Pizza seemed to be a hit. Nice place. Food and service has been going down hill for the last year. What a shame. Have to take them off my go to list for a while
Great quiet family atmosphere family style restaurant great place to bring elder family members. Food was good. But too plain for me. .
I come here quite frequently, and also get takeout regularly. The food taste and quality can vary a good deal. One problem, the takeout side of the restaurant makes alot of mistakes. This can happen with billing, getting wrong food items, and things left out of the order. CHECK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU LEAVE! On the eat in side, the fattiest piece of prime rib I ever had was at Mountain View. It was totally nasty. But I've had some very good meals here. The stuffed shrimp is quite good and many of their homemade soups are excellent. Reasonable prices. I keep coming back. Overall grade B-
Bun didn’t seem fresh, burger was too well done. I asked for medium done burger.
Tried this restaurant for a late lunch after moving my daughter into her new house which is nearby. We were greeted and sat very quickly and the hostess was very friendly. Our server stopped by to introduce herself and let us know she would be right with us. Within a few minutes, she was back to take our drink and appetizer orders. For a small place in the middle of nowhere, the menu offers a lot of choices. Our drinks were brought out quickly and she then took our order. We received our entrees in less than 15 minutes. Everything was what we ordered and the way we requested. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. It was a good sized piece of chicken, nice crunch, but could have used more buffalo sauce. Everyone else that I was with also enjoyed their meals. The next night we tried several of their pizzas; cheese, white, pepperoni, and barbecue chicken. They were all great, especially, the BBQ Chicken pizza. We will definitely be back and I'm sure my daughter and S-i-L will make this a regular place to hang out.
Large menu. Good value. Large amount of food at a good price. Food is not as good as it used to be. Maybe new cook or food supplier. The bread used to be so good, the few visits it was just stale rolls. The eggplant tower appetizer was a favorite, but again not so good anymore. Salmon was excellent.
We had a reservation for two on Valentine’s night, but my mother-in-law had just gotten out of the hospital and joined us last minute. I politely asked the hostess if it was possible to add a third person, fully expecting we might have to go somewhere else. The hostess (I believe her name was Caitlin) was extremely rude about it and said it was a “huge difference” from two to three people. After the manager agreed to seat us, she threw the third menu on the table and walked away. She also went to our server and clearly made comments about us, which was very uncomfortable. The food is always excellent, but the attitude and lack of professionalism from the hostess completely ruined the experience. Very disappointing, especially on a special night.
My food was not good- too much garlic and oil in the alfredo sauce. I couldn’t taste the chicken or anything. I couldn’t eat the meal after about a quarter way through, and I like garlic. It was just too overpowering and tasted almost raw. We weren’t overly impressed- my bf didn’t like his chicken parm either. We wanted to give it another shot and ordered dessert, and it was underwhelming. It makes me sad because I know the food used to be good. I would’ve told the waitress this, but she didn’t ask me how the food was so.... as someone who works in this industry i was shocked, but nonetheless. I heard the pizza it good, so I will try ordering from that side. No more dining in
Nice clean place but it has that typical older bartender that seems to dispies having to actually take your order. I mean this woman should have retired years ago. Stick with anything bottled because all the soda is as flat as her personality. We ordered cheese steaks which turned out to be made with cheese wiz......not typical in this area thank goodness. I could go on and on but do yourself a favor and just hit the next spot. Horse and Sulky is just a few miles away and all is well there. Honestly this place has always been like this but we heard it sold and wanted to give it another try. Unfortunately it looks like they kept the same staff.
I write this review with hesitation. I don't normally review a place, unless I feel there is something that should be said. This past evening, my partner and I decided we would go out to dinner before we went out for karaoke. When we first arrived, there was a small wait for a table in the dining room (in hind-sight, this would have probably been better). We opted to sit at a bar table for a quick dinner. For around 10-15 minutes (we honestly weren't counting but after a while did count and it was over 10 minutes) we waited until somebody acknowledged us. The entire time we sat, the bartender was looking at us but she was clearly not interested in taking our table. Now we both work in the industry and understand when things are busy, but were floored that she keep looking at us and didn't bother to tell us she would be with us shortly. Instead, it was clear we were a nuisance to take. Finally, we were greeted by a server who clearly had to come from the dining room to take us. She was pleasant but short, and it really made us feel unwelcome. We ordered our food, and it was decent. I've been here before, but the food was standard this time. The past times the food was to die for. We were prepared to have a drink or two, but were so frustrated with the obvious ignorance from the bartender we decided on just water. The food came out in a timely manner, but the way the bartender and waitstaff were, we won't be back. This place has truly gone downhill and I hope the new(er) owners take notice.
My food was horrible even the soda don’t taste good Nachos meat was gross they said it was homemade🤮 Roast beef sandwich meat smelt sour had to send it back. Meatball parm was awful. The meat tasted like the nacho meat that was supposedly homemade wouldn’t recommend it not going back again.
Another take out order completely wrong when you get it home. I order alot, this happens alot. 6:30 on a Friday, after working all week, and company at my table. Bring it back they say...what a joke! But, they sure take my tip every time at the counter.
Extremely disappointed in our experience we had there tonight. We called a few days ago and reserved a table for 15 people and asked if it was okay to hold a surprise birthday dinner and were assured that this was fine. First we were turned off when the hostess came to our table and rudely told us that they needed our menus when we didn’t even order our dinner yet. Then, about hour and a half after us getting there which including us getting there, doing the surprise (which obviously is later than the time we arrived), ordered appetizers and drinks and were currently eating the dinner we ordered, the hostess came over and informed us that we MUST do the cake now because we were taking too long and they needed the table for another reservation. Now frankly I find this HIGHLY unprofessional especially because we informed them with plenty of notice and were told that it would be no problem along with the fact that it wasn’t like we were sitting around after the dinner and desert was finished just not leaving......WE WERE STILL EATING OUR DINNER. It’s such a shame that we were treated in such an unwanted manner because the waitress along with the food were great. Unfortunately, We will not be coming back and you have lost some great customers.
Just picked up take out order. They put the dressing on my Southwest salad. Needless to say it was a soggy mess which I had to throw away! On the positive side, the grilled chicken was good! Tried to call and let them know, they set down the phone so I got to listen to 10 minutes of staff conversation!
Pulling up to this off-off the highway spot I had the feeling we'd made a mistake but didn't feel much like searching for an alternative and we were somewhat surprised that we didn't get killed or receive food poisoning . At first glance the spot looks like a biker bar aside from the sign in the window that reads: "sorry, no motorcycle club jackets permitted." The outside vestibule wreaked of cigarette smoke and inside was devoid of character. The food was typical bar choices mixed in with a few Italian picks so we both went with splitting some Buffalo wings and each having a burger. The wings were outstanding and the burgers were good but nothing special. If you come across the spot it's a good quick bite, but judging from the locale your either lost or a local so don't bother adding this one to your bucket list.
We decided to try mountain view for takeout on Friday night. I wish we went with our first choice restaurant because this wasn't good. They forgot my dinner but at least they didn't forget my Caesar salad that mistakenly a house salad. The lettuce was all wilted and warm so that went right into the garbage. The French fries were all soggy and oily. My husband's brisket was very dry. The whole meal lacked in flavor and the French onion soup looked like sludge. My inlaws were dissapointed in their meals as well. My brother in law paid and was told he had to come in to recieve cash for my meal we didn't get because they couldn't credit back his card? Ridiculous. We will not be going back. The reviews are very misleading. I wouldn't go here.
I think they are great.. and the food is great.. But if somebody keeps answering the phone to hang up over and over again, so you can’t make an order, that’s not great!! I’d rather go to Maria’s in Bloomingburg from now on no offense, but if they close early for any reason, they will answer and let you know!!! Disappointed
