Just driving randomly up the coast and found this hole in the wall place for lunch. I had the clam chowder and onion rings. Both were excellent! Hubs had the fish and chips which they are known for and said it was great. Wait staff were a couple teenagers and they were so nice and well spoken. Cleaned up immediately after customer leaves a table so no dirty tables in trying to find a seat. Decor is kitchy and cool. Great service and great food!

Easily the best fish and chips we’ve ever had. We’ve had them all along the coast from Southern California to Ketchikan Alaska and these take the cake. The batter was crispy and the fish was cooked to perfection. The burgers were delicious too. The owner and employees were so kind and loving. What a great place to take our family after a beautiful time at the beach. Thank you for the amazing memory!

Very chill and humble fish & chips restaurant. Blackened salmon sandwich was AWESOME. Way faster service than the more popular place next door. Lovely spot with plenty of seating. Coleslaw was DELISH!!! $12-18 per meal. Tacos are battered fish!

Amazing deep fried prawns, calamari, fish, oysters & more! Always cooked & seasoned perfectly! Great counter style service restaurant with indoor & some outdoor seating right off highway 1. They have a lot of variety on their menu, something for everyone, but they are definitely known for their deep fried seafoods & Chowder. Sophie & Rick Powers have an amazing restaurant that's been around for a very long time! Great family, delicious food, great location, reasonable pricing & more! Kid friendly, family friendly, pet friendly. They have beers, wine, & lots of non-alcoholic drinks available! Super friendly staff also!

I can't give this place enough praise and stars! My boyfriend got a burger and he said " you know how I know it's good, because I don't feel like crap afterwards" and that's true. It was a well made and tasty burger and fries! All I got were fries and the box was FULL! and I eat fries almost everywhere I go and these were some of the best fries I've had in a while. You can taste the love the cooks have for this place! Seriously! And for the price! You get some food, drive down a bit till you get to salmon creek and you've got lunch/dinner and a beautiful view ♡ Will be returning!

Saw good reviews about the boat house and stopped by here on our roadtrip down Highway1. They did not disappoint! Staff were attentive and ordering was fast. Their calamari and grilled oysters were the best! Who would have known grilling oysters with ketchup would taste divine? The crab cake sandwich was juicy and tasty. We have to order a small bowl of clam chowder because the reviewers recommended it and it was also good. If you are driving on Highway 1, please make sure drop by. You will need good food to enjoy the wonderful view 😊

Fish and chips was better than Fishetarian. Clam Chowder was a bit average, not as good as Spud nor Fishetarian (although it was a tad too thick at fishetarian for my taste). BBQ oyster was OK, not great. I've had better at Fort Brag Noyo harbor. I didn't like the actual BBQ sauce they put on there...

What a great lunch! I opted for the fried oysters and fries, and everything was spot on. The oysters were perfectly cooked, and the fries had that ideal crispness. My wife's chowder was fantastic too, absolutely loaded with clams – no skimping there! Just be aware that the parking lot can get a bit congested, making it tricky to maneuver.

Went here because of the quirky decoration outside. It's a small restaurant at the corner of the street with some parking spot. We ordered: fish & chips, fish tacos & hot chocolate. - Fish & chips: good. fish coating was crispy and the fish wasn't overcooked. The chips were crispy. - Fish tacos: delicious! Fish were crispy & perfectly cooked. The salsa sauce on top of the fish was delicious. - Hot chocolate: it's a Nestle hot chocolate mix - so nothing fancy about it. I bought it for my kido because he was cold. Overall, good food, good portion & good price.

The calamari fries were soggy, cold and not seasoned and they charge $$ for it. when you are near the ocean you expect fresh sea food and this was the opposite.

We ordered on a Monday around 2:30 pm. After ordering, we watched nearly everyone around us receive their food- including people who arrived well after we did. When we asked the person delivering food why others were being served first, he said he “just delivers the food.” No one offered to check on our order or communicate what was going on. It was two fish and chips, chicken tenders , and a chowder . It was not a huge order. After more than 40 minutes, we went to the cashier. That’s when we were told our order was either never put in or possibly given away. They then said they had someone else’s fish and chips ready, but the rest of our order would require waiting even longer. We were there with kids and didn’t want to wait another 40 minutes, so we asked for a refund. When we left, the entire restaurant was full of people eating who had arrived after us. No one apologized at any point. The staff appeared inexperienced and completely unsure how to handle the situation. They really should have immediately offered the food they had ready to go and a refund. There really needs to be a better system in place. even something as simple as table numbers or order tracking because this was a total breakdown in basic service. We live nearby and come to the coast often, but we won’t be coming back here again.
