My wife and I got here as soon as they opened and the chef and manger were running a little late, Joey who was the only one there was amazing at taking care of us and the few other customers who were in there, then they were having some problems with getting their grill heated up and said it would be a 15 minute wait before they could start cooking , however Joey made the time fly by and continued to take excellent care of us even offering us complimentary drinks while we waited , if you visit this Denny’s ask for Joey his service will not disappoint!

Val was fantastic today. It was a super busy Sunday, but she worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed and thanked us profusely for our patience. Everything about the order was right, but it did seem like the kitchen rushed the food and some of it was a little undercooked. But I think it was because they were trying to get everyone's food out in a timely manner.

I always like going to Denny’s. But today it was extra special. Our waitress was so friendly and down to earth she made us feel like she was welcoming us into her own home. It made me so happy to see that the company is progressive enough to allow someone with festive looking hair to work and share her happiness and wonderful attitude with everyone. When we arrived, the parking lot was full today, Saturday, well after 11:00 a.m., and we were starved, seeking breakfast, hard to find in Boerne this late. There was a line, but it moved quicker than upon previous visits when it appeared they were understaffed. But today we noticed so many more employees. We were greeted by the friendliest & super energetic hostess, Valerie, who not only bussed our table, seated us, brought our menus & silverware, but also took our drink orders and brought them to us, too! She even prompted a server to come take our order. At this writing, we just ordered after a bit of a wait, but it WAS packed when we got here. Junior was smiling, friendly, and helpful, coming over to our side of the place to help out an overwhelmed team member. Eating now. Yummy!

I chose Denny's after driving around looking for somewhere to eat. It had been a while, and I figured why not. It was alright, nothing special. They didn't over-check on me, which I appreciate. I went with a double bacon bourbon burger and seasoned fries. The fries had a good crunch and mediocre flavor. Nothing special, and I don't think it's worth the upcharge. The burger patties tasted unseasoned, like the burger depended on the bourbon sauce and bacon. The amount of grease was almost unbearable, to the point that the waitress saw me and gave me extra napkins with no words exchanged beforehand, which I found funny, though it seemed common for her to do so. Due to the grease, the buns were soggy and falling apart when I was trying to eat the burger. The orange juice was from a dispenser but was probably my favorite part of the meal, tasted exactly as it should and what I would expect. All in all, for $20 on one meal, I wouldn't get it again. I would pay maybe $8 for what I ate. I felt actually kind of gross trying to finish my burger. I didn't finish eating the floppy, soggy bottom bun, though. Couldn't do that one.

I gave this place an overall rating of 3 stars only because it was very cold inside. Food was good and warm. I didn't get the waitress' name but she is the hardest working waitress I've ever seen. She waited tables, took orders, cleaned tables and was the cashier all by herself and even took refills to all the tables. I verbally told her she was the hardest working waitress ever. Reading the other reviews, I'm quite surprised. We must have came on an off beat or cook in training day. It took over an hour to receive our meals. We arrived about 1 pm on a Sunday. The restaurant wasn't extremely busy. We were seated promptly and received our iced teas quickly as well. Then it went downhill from there. The waitress took our order and came back within 15 minutes with our salads. We said thank you, but she walked off. 30 minutes later she refilled my tea. Again, I said thank you and she walked away. No words or response. Another 30 minutes and she served food to the group of 8 who ordered after we did. 10 minutes later we received our meals. I requested the sauce on the side. The waitress put it in front of me and said she noticed it wasn't correct and offered to send it back. I said no, its fine. A couple of minutes passed and she finally came back with my husband's salmon dinner. He started to eat and noticed that the salmon wasn't cooked. The waitress stopped and asked if things were ok. He said the salmon wasn't cooked. She offered to send it back. We explained we never send food back, because we've seen so many videos of people spitting in the food. No thank you. A gentleman came out and removed the meal from our bill and we thanked him. I did share half my chicken dinner with my husband. Nonetheless, we might not revisit this location. On another note, when we returned home a couple hours later, my husband went straight to the bathroom with an upset tummy. If you order food here, please check your food to make sure it's properly cooked before eating it.

I cannot rate the food because I was not going to eat something that looked tampered with. But I will rate that this establishment should put an effort into sealing their food deliveries picked up by Uber, doordash etc. These restaurants need to stop being cheap and start sealing their food deliveries, especially for an overpriced hamburger. One of my containers which did not have a sticker to seal the package had a red fingerprint smudge and package was barely even closed. Hamburger container with no sticker to seal the package was also halfway opened. I threw this food away I was not going to take a chance on getting sick and was simply just grossed out to think that someone might have been touching my food! Also be aware that Denny's is listed as "Burger Den" on Uber eats, and doordash. And their prices are more expensive and they're serving the same Burger they serve at Denny's!

The warmest food that came out was gravy and it was room temperature at best. Needless to say this is a location I will not be going back too.

I absolutely love the experience I’ve had at this restaurant and have eaten here more than I can count on my hands being from a different side of town. I’m writing this poor review solely for the way I was treated by Jaime just picking up a to-go order. Very rude to the cook in the back that was what appeared to be actively training a new hire loud enough for everyone to hear. I had asked for some to-go syrup while making active eye contact and was blatantly ignored, mind you up to this point i had been respectful with smiles, pleases and thank yous. After asking “Is that a no?” She told me “wait until I’m done” in a very rude manner.

Thought I would try them on a Saturday to see if their service was better than on Sundays, nope. After waiting 45 minutes from when we ordered, still no food, we walked out to NEVER return.

Went twice within a week and half. On a Tuesday approx 11 am. Took one hour to get food. Waiter said it was because there were a lot of door dash orders. Check out lady asked how our visit was we told her how long we waited and she said that wasn’t true about the dash orders. Restaurant was not crowded. Just 2 of us. Second time we were seated next to bathrooms. You could smell the bathrooms. We asked to move. The smell is not from people, it’s in the septic. It’s very bad. Been this way far too long. Disgusting. Will not return for a good while

Zero stars if I could. Came in and let the server know I had a pork allergy. Ordered a turkey club with no bacon. Food comes and it has ham… second plate comes and there is bacon. Third plate comes and there is zero meat just avo and cheese… the waiter then says “I thought you were vegetarian” after several times stating I cannot eat PORK. Food also took extremely long. Ending up not eating and waiting while my partner finished up. Also would like to state that the place was mildly busy.

First, the service was so bad, we had to ask if we sit ourselves down, we were standing for 10 minutes, we sat down and got our menu, then we waited another 10 minutes for drinks. We gave her our order when she gave us our drink.so we waited seeing people complaining all around us so we waited about 40 minutes we ask about our food while we were waiting there we saw this family next to us they sat down and a any bodywaitress from the other side of the restaurant she brought there drinks it didn't take more than 4 minutes, she knew them she she was hugging them and talking to them for about 10 minutes then she said i will take your order so she got up went to the kitchen.so she went to the kitchen, came back sat down with them about 10 minutes..I saw a guy from the same side the waitress, that was on our side he look at her pick up his hands and said something then walk back. So back to when I ask the waitress the one walking by when I ask till our food comes she said let me check she came back, said they are 4 order in front of us she said we can or if we wanted to leave we could she said we did not have to paid for drinks.we waited over 1 1/2 hour when we walk in that is just ridiculous. there was not lot of people in there.we told the waitress that there is not that many people's in here, she said for us it is. I told my husband if the people next to us that was getting all the attention, get the food befor we do i am going to throw a fit!!! . Just letting you know if you are not related to any one in Dennys your are going to wait for 2 hours to get your food!! Remember I waited for 1 1/2hours and still had 4 order before us.we been in Boerne for 15 years and they make me mad all the time I will not go no more!!! HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!!! WAITRESS!!

November 2025. Waitress with purple hair horn rimmed glasses covered in tattoos. She was very outspoken and dry sense of humor. Waited on us before. She told us she had alot of medical bills and vet bills. When we're done with our breakfast and coffee we asked if we could stay a bit longer and visit. I put my card on our table to pay with. She kept making remarks that she needed $800. She kept sitting down at our table distracting us with her pictures on her phone. Then she disappeared and my friend said she went out to her car. We got ready to leave and my card was missing. We searched everywhere for 15min. We were very suspicious of her. She was acting very nervous. I paid with another card and canceled my card. Be very cautious when you go there. We will never go there again. Good waitress are not working there. They will hire anyone without background checks.
