Stopped in for a bite post paranormal activity at STC. Strong drinks and flavors warmed us up nicely. The portions are a size that presumes you may have never eaten before but feeling full from a good meal overrides somewhat pricey plates. Flavor is still king. Flavor conducts the vibe.

We experienced the perfect dinner! The food was outstanding; delicious, presentable, and cooked to perfection. The service was extraordinary thanks to our server, Angel. He was phenomenal, attentive, patient, and offered excellent recommendations. If every restaurant had Angel serving their customers, none would have less than 5 stars. Thank you, Angel! And the ambience was wonderful with an appropriate noise level and manageable crowd size that made navigating through the restaurant easy. Definitely coming back next time I am in DC.

Fantastic service from start to finish! Jose received us very warmly, was attentive and set the tone for a wonderful experience. Then our server Brayan provided an impeccable service. He knew the menu well, offered great recommendations and anticipated our needs, making us feel like valued guests. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional… definitely one of the best we’ve had (and we have been to Michelin rests). The meal was excellent; every dish was perfectly cooked. We had steak, salad and mashed potatoes… everything was delicious. Highly recommend the basque cheesecake as dessert. Great experience! Will definitely visit again!

La Grande Boucherie is one of those places I just can’t stop going back to. I’ve been for their prix fixe lunch and that was such a win — I had the French onion soup (so good) along with another course and everything was solid, comforting, and well done. I’ve also gone back for brunch with my girls, and brunch for me was a straight 10/10 experience. The food was great, the vibes were perfect, and our server was super nice and made the whole thing even better. I love the bottomless mimosa option, and the views at this place are honestly amazing. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for something romantic, cozy, and still a little elevated, especially with those views. Only downside is parking can be pretty hit or miss, but if I remember correctly, there’s a garage close by which helps. Overall, great food, great drinks, great vibes — definitely a go-to spot for me.

Besides the great atmosphere, the food was surprisingly delicious. I honestly didn’t have very high expectations at first, but overall, I was not disappointed at all. The onion soup was rich and flavorful, and the steak was incredibly tender. It might not look very pretty, but I have to say — it tasted amazing.

We went to La Grande Boucherie for our 30th anniversary dinner and they did not disappoint! Our server, Amine, went out of his way to make it special. His recommendations made the night even more unforgettable. The fillet mignon was a masterpiece. The crème brûlée was tasteful yet delicate. The cocktail combinations were unlike anything we have had before, and the atmosphere was the perfect setting for our celebration. Needless to say, I recommend and plan to return. Atmosphere at Christmastime with a huge, real tree 🎄 is a reason to come enjoy this location. Convenient to hotel hopping and National Christmas Tree. Cocktails were the highlight! Food was good. Service was mildly lacking, but I was grateful they accommodated a specialty request for my 4-year olds persnickety preferences. No crowds the Monday after Christmas 🙌🏼

We’re here for pre-theater and I’m impressed. Everything was good. Both lobster dishes (lobster bisque and lobster linguini) were AMAZING! The service was professional yet friendly. The place looks so beautiful. One of the best Christmas decorations in DC (for restaurants). We will definitely come back. PS: Sorry no picture of lobster dishes I mentioned. We celebrated our 5 year anniversary here a few weeks back and it was amazing. The service from Tim and the food was phenomenal. We started with a Caesar salad and escargot and then I had the special which was a dry aged ribeye cooked perfectly rare/medium rare. My girlfriend had the filet au poivre which came with this outstanding peppercorn sauce. The atmosphere was so fun. The holiday decor had just been put up and the tree was such a nice touch. Also the restaurant is located in a very cool old building most likely a former bank. Shout out to the restaurant for the cake at the end to top of our celebration.the cheesecake slice to go was phenomenal as a late night snack as well. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner very enjoyable and memorable.

We wanted a restaurant for Thanksgiving where we could eat great food, listen to some live music, and simply just have a good time. La Grande Boucherie was all of that and more. From the moment we walked in the door Juan (host) set the stage. We arrived early so we were escorted to the bar to chill for a bit. Once the rest of our party arrived we were placed in the very capable hands of Steven. Steven guided us through the best of the menu. In between dinner decision time we were also greeted by the wine consœurs who suggested wine options (and the best of the cocktails). After hors d'oeuvres, the main course, and plenty of desserts and wine, Juan suggested we hit the upstairs bar to really take in the views. It was the perfect way to round out our night. The bartenders were fabulous and so kind. Be aware that the walking path is narrow between the upstairs bar and seats near the balcony so be patient and watch out for people traffic. Steven also provided us with a lovely book that goes into much more detail about the restaurant (perfect keepsake). Thank you to all of the staff for an epic Thanksgiving night! We will for sure return. I highly recommend making a reservation.

Had the loveliest lunch. The mocktail was fabulous - light and fresh, subtle flavors. The soupe l’oignon was wonderful, the croque Madame had a perfectly fried egg on top, and I had never had a Mont-Blanc before but it was fantastic. My server Francesco was the best part - knowledgeable, attentive, and extremely concerned with me having the best experience. He highly recommended the Mont-Blanc and I very much appreciated his recommendation.

Amine Was amazing and serving and recommending great drinks and entrée! We started out with mussels and awesome salad! He recommended a drink that tasted like rose and also another drink that has a spice to it as well called Phoenix. I will recommend the rose drink, and also the Phoenix on the side. Also, the Tomahawk steak is amazing as well. The environment is awesome and you will not regret how open ceiling it is! I recommend this place!

We had an amazing experience. Everything was perfect — the food, the atmosphere, and the service. Mariana was our server, she was professional with a beautiful smile. She took care of us carefully. We ordered the French onion soup, Caesar salad, and a ribeye au poivre served with a delicious peppercorn sauce— absolutely fantastic. For dessert, we had the Paris-Brest and Mille-feuille, both incredibly fresh and beautifully made. As a pastry chef myself, I can say the desserts were truly exceptional. Highly recommended — can’t wait to come back!

Everything we ordered on the menu was delicious. The vegetables were fresh and crisp! We had our fish debone before us! 👏🏽 It was a wonderful experience. The only thing I want to mention is, because it is a French restaurant, getting to understand the menu before hand will be a little helpful to order your food. You can check out the menu online or get advice from other reviewers on whatever platform you use. I was hoping to get a little more explanation about the menu from our waitress, but let’s say it was a little complicated for me. We figured everything out in the end though!😊 I would definitely recommend this place for its food, glamour, elegance, and ambience!💕

Elegant French decor stole the show. Hors d'oeuvres divine, duck was disappointing.. to me duck loves sweetness to cut through salt. 3.5/5 - Went for the first time today after seeing all the posts on socials. After reading some other reviews I can now agree that this place while having an amazing atmosphere is almost too big for its own good. The staff and server were really nice but we barely saw our waiter during the visit. The family next to us was waiting trying to pay for 20 minutes and finally had to ask a busboy to find the waiter. It’s definitely not the waiter’s fault, just too many tables. The food was good, I had the steak sandwich and my wife had the burger. The burger was fine and I feel overpriced but the steak sandwich was really good and I think warranted the cost. Overall if you want a beautiful atmosphere this is your spot. However if you want amazing food and very attentive service, I think there are better options.

Grand restaurant on 2 levels. Although intimate in lighting, it is quite loud. Can accommodate anywhere between couples to large groups for dining. Service was good, but the food was hit or miss. Caesar Salad - Overly dressed and wet. Bland and lacked salt and didn't of have that peppery zing that typical Caesar dressings provide. Lobster Bisque - Rich, but could still taste the Brandy and it overpowered the lobster. Would not get again. Salmon - Perfectly cooked. Spaghetti squash paired well. Paris-Brest Dessert - A dry cream puff that truly could only serve 1 person. Skip! Mont-Blanc Dessert - Order this instead! Every part of this dessert was delicious. From the crisp tart shell, lightly sweetened cream, and fruity filling, it did not last. Would order again and again! Valet parking is available at the front entrance and is cash only.
