First of all, thank you to the ladies in the dining room, FANTASTIC!! Every time we come, we feel at home!!! Delicious food and generous portions!!! Today, among other things, we had a Florentine steak...well, maybe one of the best we've ever eaten!!! The fillets and tagliata were amazing!!! But what amazed me was the mixed fried fish...exquisite to say the least!!! Every time we come to Borno, you'll be our go-to restaurant 🤣🤣❤️

A seafood restaurant in Borno where the menu offers a variety of meat-based options, making life difficult for vegetarians. The wine list isn't extensive, but the bottles selected offer excellent value. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Aside from my appetizer of battered zucchini flowers, which was just okay, the rest of the dishes we ordered were well-cooked. The mixed fried fish was beautifully golden and not greasy.

A delicious lunch with local products. The sauce with gorgonzola, walnuts, and balsamic vinegar that accompanied the meat was simply delicious. Compliments to the chef!

No vegetarian options, burnt fish that was hard to eat, "classic tiramisu" with ladyfingers, chocolate chips, and no coffee, uncleaned shrimp, and plastic in the ice cream. After calmly pointing this out, we were even attacked as if it were our fault: rude staff (including the owner), no apology for what happened, and unwillingness to listen to customer complaints. Never again.

It's been a while since I've found a place so bad that I gave it one star; it's a shame because the location isn't bad and that's also the only positive aspect... Let's start with the negatives: even though we had a reservation and showed up at the appointed time, the place wasn't ready, and they told us to come back later. They put us at a table where the waitress risked hitting my father-in-law on the head every time she passed; so we moved the table to make it easier... We ordered four first courses, two meat-based and two fish-based. Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms was tasteless and small, and they didn't serve cheese; the other three first courses weren't any better; in fact, the only half-decent dish was the pennette al brucio, which was fish-based. The scampi in the other dish weren't cleaned properly and still had their shells on; the casoncelli were undercooked and the pasta was too thick at the end. We rightly commented on the various dishes, and the waitress, who overheard, reported to the head waiter, who, rather than learn the reason for our dissatisfaction, told her, in a forceful manner, not to serve us anymore... After such a lack of professionalism bordering on rudeness, we got up and went to pay, without anyone asking us why. It's the ONLY restaurant in Borno where we've had a bad experience, so I suggest you don't waste your money on a place like this.

The staff is friendly, until you comment on the tasteless dishes and the small portions for the price. Even if you hear a negative comment, you shouldn't refuse to serve the table that made the comment; it's unprofessional. Courtesy is expected whether the customer is happy or disappointed with the food. However, this is the only restaurant I won't go to again when I'm in Borno, and I certainly won't be spreading positive publicity.
