We had cocktails on the outside deck. It has a fun ski lodge theme. Deck chairs made of skis and ski lift swing chairs. Beautiful view of Boston. The heat lamps keep it warm during the cold months. We visited in November and were warm.
First time staying at YOTEL Boston I usually stay at the Long Wharf for work but decided to try something new, and I’m so glad I did! After my flight, I dropped off my luggage and went straight to work with no hassle. Later that evening, I visited Deck 12 on the rooftop and had the best experience. Sebastian, my waiter, was amazing! It was a chilly night, and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable, even showing me around the rooftop and offering to take a photo to capture the view. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. Thank you, Sebastian, for turning a simple dinner into such a memorable experience. I’ll definitely be back!
Deck 12 is a great place to grab dinner and drinks with some friends. We were able to reserve an outdoor table and the view was amazing. Our server was great and everything came out in a timely manner. We ordered the tacos, mezze platter, and shrimp scampi. The shrimp scampi was my favorite! Highly recommend this place
Had a great time enjoying the rooftop views and friends on a cold Saturday. It was comfortable with the heaters. The manager/bartender was super friendly and fun. Made some great drinks for us to enjoy with our cheese fondue platter. Fondu -licious! Waiter was attentive and helpful. Great time had by all!
I visited this restaurant with a few girlfriends. We were visiting Boston and saw Deck 12 as a recommendation. From walking in, the place was beautiful. As anticipated, the temperature was low, but if you prefer, there were heaters available outside for your comfort. The view was also beautiful. The food was good, too. The flatbread stuffed with corn and chicken, along with the wings, is a must-try. The chicken and waffles were also good. The drinks were nice; we had the sangria and the hibiscus refresher. Rina, our waitress, providing excellent service. She accommodated our request to switch from outdoor to indoor seating. She was very pleasant and contributed to our excellent experience. Overall it was a wonderful experience and a must-try when visiting Boston.
The place is incredible, it has a wonderful view of the city of Boston, the food and drinks are very good, the atmosphere is super pleasant, the service is great, the waiters are very polite, cordial and attentive, the prices are super affordable and I highly recommend it 10/10.
I recently visited Deck12 with five of my girlfriends, and I have to say—what an amazing experience! It was my first time at a rooftop restaurant, and everything from the vibe to the view made it extra special. We were there celebrating three big occasions— a birthday, a retirement, and a divorce— and Deck12 truly delivered the perfect setting for our night out. The atmosphere was fun and lively, the food and drinks were delicious, and our server, David, was outstanding! He was personable, attentive, friendly, and made sure our table was well taken care of throughout the evening. We had almost everything on the Sharing Menu - Mezze Platter, Hush Puppies, Truffle Fries, Gochujang Wings, Scallion Pancake, "Deck Out" Nachos, Deck 12 Onion Rings Tower, Margherita Flatbread...absolutely delicious. We started with the Summer Sangria... Highly recommend Deck12 if you're looking for a place to celebrate, unwind, or just enjoy a great rooftop evening with friends. We'll definitely be back!
Deck 12: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great views & sunsets! 🌆 Excellent service. 👍 Salad & flatbread 🥗🍕 on point. Drink options limited. 🍹 Still, a fantastic Boston rooftop!
Gets incredibly busy but great views and great tacos This restaurant is located inside of YOTEL. You may need to call ahead and make a reservation to get a seat here. I went with two friends early in the evening so we were able to walk in and grab a table, however, we got a little bit of a runaround because we didn't have a reservation. That being said, we were sat inside until a table outside opened up and then they very kindly moved us out onto the Deck. The Deck is where you want to be because there are nice views of Boston that make great backdrops for pictures. It is open air (though there are some umbrellas) but it is for sure a fair-weather destination. It is a small restaurant but is in the Seaport area so there is a ton of nightlife and things you can walk to from here. Maybe a good, warm up for a long night out! I highly recommend the tacos and tostados. Both were amazing!
Starting a fall 🍁🍂Sunday with great views to Boston downtown and Seaport, and having a delicious frittata 🍳🥗 and non-alcoholic cocktail 🍹🍸is priceless! The staff were super friendly and welcoming!
Roof Deck view was incredible. What was even more incredible was our server Tony!!! He was friendly, fast, genuine and we just so enjoyed our experience with him. There was another great entitled couple that just sat at a table with no reservation and the way the staff handled the rude customers was awesome. Well done Deck 12!!!!
Nice rooftop option in Boston, with some views (of building rooftops), excellent service, and THC drinks 5mg). * the peach cocktail was amazing, the mojito pretty good * clam chowder - excellent * crab cake - good * banana split with cotton candy - tasty and Instagrammable Seating outside is seasonal - the chairs make of skis and the gondola can be used in the winter, and are replaced by high top chairs and tables in the summer. Cheese fondue is also only available in the winter :( Service was prompt and lovely. Tip was included in the bill since Yotel operates as a European hotel chain.
10/10 experience, even for just a girls night out or date. Waitstaff were very helpful and amazing Blackened swordfish tacos & Beef empanadas… amazing!
We decided on ringing in my birthday at Deck 12 rooftop bar inside The Yotel Hotel and it turned out to be a great idea! Though it was a blistery cold night we wanted to see Boston's beautiful skyline. The bartender/waiter Remy was a pure delight. He was attentive, informative, and friendly. He gave the perfect cocktail and appetizers recommendations. We had the Clam Chowder, "Yummy" Mussels "Tasty" Chicken Flautas "Absoutely Delight! The birthday surprise dessert "Mexican Chocolate Bread Pudding" was outstanding! Great service, Mouthwatering food, & Entertaining company makes for a fantastic night!! Will be back soon!
Nate and Pete were our amazing bartenders. The drinks were perfect and the atmosphere, cozy. The attention to detail and making us feel at home was their priority and the all but exceeded that. Can't wait to go back.
Very nice place great location awesome views of the city of boston the food is ok. It's more of a place to snack and get a drink while looking outside
Went up to the rooftop bar at the Yotel just for drinks and had a great experience. It was shockingly busy, sounded like you need a reservation to get a table, but we just sat at the bar. The bartender, Katherine, was really outstanding. She seemed to really care about her guests. The prices were a little high, especially for the beer, but that's what you get when you have 12th story views.
Gorgeous view. Really cute place and great service. It’s clean and the tables are spaced well apart. I sat outside and had a great time plus my food was soooo delicious. Went for brunch and had the egg special. Affordable prices too.
A nice place to have a drink, I was staying at the hotel and wanted a place to have a drink with a view. The staff were lovely, especially Harold, who was brilliant and went out of his way to make sure I got a seat outside, took the time to chat and gave me some great recommendations too.
great place. incredible view. amazing to come to for drinks. the vibes are awesome.
A must come! Great service from afternoon crew. Fun and vibrant and Katherine my bartender is a bad ass and Emmanuel made it just a fun with his cool Guapo swag !!! ... Tara the manager has a fun crew and made my day even better from the rough Vela experience the night before! BRAVO to the Deck 12 afternoon crew for being so on it!
It was my first time visiting the Deck 12. I had an amazing experience. The food was just perfect. Our server, Rina was amazing!! I will come here over and over again.
Deck 12 made my son's 16th birthday absolutely unforgettable! As any parent knows, nailing down a celebration for this age can be tricky, but the team here went above and beyond to make it special. Communication was incredibly easy from start to finish, and even though I wasn't "cool enough" to join the celebration, they were thoughtful enough to send me videos throughout the experience. Watching my son feel so celebrated and special meant the world to me. The staff truly understood the assignment and created an experience he'll remember for years to come. Cannot recommend them enough for making milestone birthdays memorable!
Sebastian Sanchez. NEEDS a raise!!! BEST server ever makes me want to come here. So kind so amazing best worker you have. Gave me ALL the cherries you have. Gave us blankets, gave me my amazing food such a funny guy. Brownie points for the accent. WE will be back!! #SEBBY
Went here for our daughter's birthday, she really wanted fondue. To be ready until 2:30 p.m. but they made special accommodations for her and made the fondue early. We were very impressed.
Loved Deck 12! The views are absolutely amazing — perfect spot to unwind. The chicken tacos were good, but the cocktails were superb. Great vibes all around. Will definitely be back!
This was a fun place for lunch, sitting in a gondola on the rooftop, with views of the city. The service was great, but we were the only ones there on a Saturday afternoon. The hot cocktails were very good but we were really disappointed with the fondue. It was nacho-type cheese that tasted like it was poured from a jar into the fondue pot.
Had a positive night here in the midst of a few negative reviews recently. Food was tasty and the view was stunning. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and it was very windy. The staff was kind enough to move our table inside where we would be able to enjoy our food further. Prices are fair considering this is a rooftop bar.
Came here yesterday and we had the entire rooftop to ourselves. Can’t say anything about the food because we didn’t eat and the menu was limited. Very pricy but that’s to be expected since it’s Boston. Drinks were amazing and so was the view and ski decor.
Super busy place with amazing view of Boston which you can also see from lookout rooftop bar. I loved the cocktails, very tasty and refreshing and the food was delicious. We ordered Salmon tahini and Farro bowl, Smoked salmon toast, Caribbean nachos, thai chicken bowl, chocolate cake and everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. Check it out if you are in seaport area also check of your table is outside as ours were inside.
The service was quick and efficient. I like the setting/set-up. The food was tasty and the menu has a variety of selection. I only wish the rooftop view was better because much of the view is surrounded by buildings. A small portion consists of the streets. Overall, I recommend coming here .
Great restaurant with a fantastic view. If you're in Boston and want a nice skyline dining experience without breaking the bank, Deck 12 is the perfect choice. I've seen a lot of negative reviews on here regarding the service, but we didn't experience any unpleasant treatment (although it was a bit slow). The food is delicious, and while a little pricey, not bad at all when compared to the other rooftop restaurants in the area. Would reccomend.
Came up for drinks, but even as a hotel guest it was difficult to get seating, as you needed a reservation, which I have never experienced at a hotel bar before. Came back later and had Christian behind the bar, he was great, made awesome drinks and was able to hang with our jokes.
The rooftop had a beautiful view. The weather on 7/14/25 was perfect with a slight breeze. Our server was a little slow for our large party of 11 to 12, though a majority of us were only purchasing drinks. My Cobb salad would have been better with Romain Lettuce or another darker green option. My daughter got the Cookies and cream cake dessert that suits her liking.
beautiful place however the food was extremely underwhelming. My girlfriends and I had gone yesterday for a friends birthday and half of us ordered carne asada tacos. The meat was not seasoned and the texture was everything but tender. I took one bite and could not manage to continue with the rest of the meal. The rest of the group got fish and chips which ended up being more breading than actual fish and a lot of fries😕. the drinks were an amazing experience, i’d recommend you to come for drinks only !!
I do have to say the food was amazing. But that was the only good experience. We stayed at the hotel and even though we were paying guests of the hotel we weren't able to just walk in and get a table. We pretty much got yelled at and turned away. We havmd to go on a website and try to get a reservation which was pretty much all booked up for days. We finally got a reservation because someone canceled. When we went back, we got brought to our table right away. But had to sit there easily 10 minutes before anyone even looked at us. They claimed that there were no reservations and they were all booked up but, the inside was completely empty. There was only 2 other tables being used. So why were there no reservation and they said it was all booked with all those empty tables? Funny part is the lady at the front desk looked ut up and said there were plenty of open tables and we should be able to walk right in. I will not be going back, the Envoys roof top is better and makes more sense.
Wasn't very impressed with this place to say the least. The menu was lacking. The food we did order came out relatively quick and cold. Great place to meet for drinks but I wouldn't recommend coming here for the food.
Pretty (Pricey) View. Typical contemporary Americna fare food and cocktails for the Seaport price. You must be paying for the view because the cocktails are basic (dare I say "Mid" to use a Gen Z term) and range from $16-$20. Not even a fancy glass to match the price tag. I didn't have food while I was hear, but I will say the options looked tasty. I would skip this place unless you really want that rooftop view.
We ordered steak and I had to ask for steak knife’s. The waitress had to go downstairs to get them kinda crazy you guys didn’t have them already. I understand of course tipping is customary to for them on the bill to add gratuity 18% was right in your face a force. Didn’t love on google there wasn’t a clear menus to see and this Resturant does not severe Oysters. The one downstairs does.
Fun to be outside on the room overlooking Boston, food was way overpriced for the amount they gave you, charcuterie had like 3 nuts, 2 pieces of cheese and a couple crackers, two pieces of meat, chicken sandwich was good
Deck 12’s rooftop views live up to their expectations–they were beautiful! The menu offered a variety of familiar, creative, and unique options. Deck 12’s drink menu offers a wide range of fun and creative cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine. The food was delicious, however it did take around 45 minutes to come out, and the drinks came out after we had finished eating. There are not enough heaters for each table to have at least one, and the servers are unhelpful in assisting. Even on a Monday night around seven, the staff was overbooked and unable to provide full attention to all the tables they were working. Overall, our experience was good, but it could have been amazing with better service and respect.
Cool location with a good view of sea port. Food was mid and expensive. Drinks were expensive ($18 for a small bloody mary, $15 for a Maine lunch). Overall, makes for a cool picture, but not worth $200+ for 2 people to eat and have a couple drinks. Worth checking out once but not a place I'll frequent.
The extra star is only for the location and the cleanliness. The food is bad, the staff is not attentive. I was also charged two times for my bill and they said the first one didn’t go through and so I had to dispute the transaction with my credit card company. The deck is stinky. Not sure if it is the vent or the heater as it was really cold when we went. Do not recommend this place
Went here with my friends this past weekend. We came for just drinks and we had a reservation. As I’m sure a lot of people ask, we asked to sit outside and were met with a firm ‘No’ from the hostess who also said she was the manager. No explanation or anything just no. While I can get passed that maybe we booked wrong or what not, it just felt like there was no attempt to even try to seat us outdoors and regulars/ more “important” guests were prioritized seeing we heard some other people ask to go outside and were able to. It wasnt even busy the time we went. While I can also understand this is just my observation, what’s actually making me give 2 stars was the fact they put a service charge of 18% on our 4 drinks and there were just 4 of us.. without saying so, without mentioning on the menu that I saw and nothing on the website. Pretty sketchy if you ask me. I also tip atleast 20% when I go anywhere working in the industry myself, I would’ve gave him more than that but chose not to since it wasn’t disclosed. Any normal place, auto gratuity is for parties of 6-8, either verbalized or written on the menus, so that really just rubbed me the wrong way and made no sense seeing everywhere else we went around there that wasn’t the case. It also didn’t reflect on the actual check to sign just the initial tab. Don’t go here if you actually want to leave satisfied with your time. The only pro was that our server was nice, so it’s probably more so a management issue.
Went for dinner and a sunset to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. We ordered the $2 oysters to start while we decided on drink. Very small wine selection and food is mostly typical American food, nothing special. Issues we had: oysters were terrible, not sure where they were from but very fishy, didn't finish. Server brought out the wrong amount and charged us double four order and we had to wait for them to refund it. The vibes and atmosphere were not for us. Left after apps.
Was excited to come here to get some dinner and cocktails… the service is great, kinda wish each table had an umbrella as it does get extremely hot on the deck. The food was sooo disappointing and downright gross besides the oysters. The nachos had a weird cheese on it and they charge $8 for extra chicken which came in 6 tiny bites.. totaling $24 tiny portion as well. My friend didn’t even eat her tacos as they were unseasoned and gross. The burger wasn’t seasoned and had the taste of just plain beef. The drinks tasted great and the waitress was great. Would recommend for just drinks… if you’re looking for a quality meal, then I suggest going somewhere else.
Go to the Look Out or the 3rd floor of legal Harbor-side instead. This place was gross! I took photos of the dirty glass we received 🤢. The host said we didn’t request outside when we did. He said we could start inside and then move to the outside dining area in about 20 min, but after an hour we gave up. We received the wrong order. We asked three times for water and after 50 min we finally received our water.
I scheduled a reservation for 6 individuals on the rooftop for my birthday 3 weeks in advance. Upon arriving, they informed us that our reservation had apparently been canceled an hour after the phone call scheduling it. I had only received a confirmation text and was never informed that this reservation was canceled. It was cancelled on THEIR end by a manager, apparently, and they did practically nothing to rectify this issue. They said they had no other availability and the only thing they could do was set us up in the break room. We received subpar service, in which they brought out a "complementary" slice of cake without asking if our party had any allergies (I have a life threatening nut allergy). When we informed the waiter of this he seemed annoyed rather than apologetic. The worst part was that it was a Saturday night, so we could not find a reservation elsewhere for the life of us. They did not seem apologetic at all, especially the short blonde middle-aged manager; they basically left the issue with the poor hostess who had nothing to do with the situation. The least they could've done was given us a complementary drink or make us next in line on their wait list, but this option was not even a consideration. I would not recommend that anyone go here, especially for a special event as a reservation clearly does not mean much to them.
Seated on the patio with my party of four--the views were gorgeous. I was celebrating my birthday so I was excited to have a good night. The main problem was the HORRIBLE service. Our server barely acknowledged our table. We waited over AN HOUR for water despite asking the waitress four separate times. We gave up and walked up to the bar to get it ourselves. We were completely ignored the entire dinner. No offers for other drinks, refills, or anything. Our server barely made eye contact or said anything to us. I know places are often understaffed these days, but given the price point for this restaurant, that type of service is unacceptable. To make matters worse, we quickly realized that our server was providing good service to every other table in her section except for us. Two members of our party were Black, and despite our best efforts to sympathize with the clearly very busy server, it became clearly discriminatory given that the table of all white people behind us received far better service. I don't throw that accusation around lightly but it became quite clear by the end of the meal that the server was racist and her lack of customer service was clearly rooted in some sort of bias. Additionally, we ordered one espresso martini and never received it. We waited for more than 45 minutes before cancelling it because she clearly never even put it in. Oh, and the food was extremely overpriced for what you received. Hate and bigotry should never be tolerated, especially in Boston of all places. Never been so disappointed with service before in my life--especially at an "upscale" restaurant like this. Could not recommend this place LESS! Especially if you are person of color.
If you’re looking for a dining experience that doubles as a colon cleanse, look no further than Deck 12’s Oyster Mondays. My friend bravely ordered them and has since been conducting a two-day exorcism by toilet. Truly a biblical event. The atmosphere? Lovely. The oysters? Well, let’s just say they’ve been on more of a journey than we bargained for. I wanted a happy hour, but instead I got a sad 48 hours of gastrointestinal warfare. One star overall because that star fell straight into the bathroom and never came back.
