sarah was our waitress, she was amazing and so nice. Rest of staff were also lovely. food was so good, definitely recommend!!
Had a lovely afternoon with our daughter and her friends after her graduation this week. Lovely outside terrace with sea view. Food was great and Sarah looked after us very well. Thanks!!
Amazing staff especially Charlie who made our lunch awesome. The food and service was 💯 as always and perfect setting for long lost friends visiting from London. Highly recommend.
Our host, Sarah, was engaging, faultless and funny, she anticipated needs, not just delivered them and charmed all three generations in our party. Made our celebration shiny and perfect.
Arrived without a booking and was seated at a great table straight away. Very good service by Davey, knowledgeable about the menu and food allergies (I have coeliac disease) gave my dog Bonzo a treat and water. We had brunch, which arrived promptly, was delicious and nicely served. Lovely views and vibe. Will be back.
Enjoyed the food. All the staff were welcoming. Our waitress Charlie was a diamond. She was bubbly and very helpful suggesting the wine. Highly recommend. Lovely sea view too.
This is our second visit to this amazing sea view Brighton restaurant and the food and service has improved leaps and bounds within the last 9 months. Throughout our lunch, we were looked after by our waitress Vicky who went above and beyond, recommending the Arancini, which was beautifully presented, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. The service was quick too. Vicky also chatted about other great restaurants with us and then later gave us a handwritten list of some other good places to try. Thank you for making our lunch a positively memorable experience. Will definitely return again.
Some of the best food I’ve had in a while, not just cause I’m a university student! Daniel was a brilliant server and very kind
Very well priced. Steak tartare was amazing - above my expectations. Top quality food for mid-prices. Service was very good.
Came here for my mums birthday and was really lovely. Friendly staff and good service. Food was really good and has a great view of the pier.
Absolutely amazing! The food and atmosphere were stunning with a gorgeous view of the sea. As for the service, we were served by the wonderful Carmen, who was not just professional but personable, attentive, patient and quite funny actually. Give her a raise!!! Highly recommend this establishment.
I recently visited Cecconi’s for my mum’s birthday. I put on the reservation notes that we were celebrating as it was a special birthday and the host Ruby went above and beyond to accommodate this - she was great. The food and service was perfect. We will definitely be back. Thank you 😊
As a Soho house member I love this restaurant. I think it is not just the quality of food but the care, friendliness and quality of service from staff such as Daniel and the other wonderful staff that makes this restaurant one of the best restaurant in Brighton for me and my guests.
We came to soho house for a birthday. Reece was our waiter and he made the whole experience INCREDIBLE. The food was outstanding and very generous portions. Cocktails were top quality. We had a fantastic time and I can’t wait to return with family again. Huge thank you to Reece who really made our evening extra special- to his management please praise and reward him for his excellent service!
Came today for lunch with my friend and must say the service from the wait team and the manager Marie was outstanding food could be slightly improved as I’ve dined else where and had better Italian cuisine but the fantastic service and the warm feeling from the staff made my experience amazing today and will return
We had a fantastic experience at our girlie reunion at Cecconi’s Brighton. The food was delicious, with a variety of options, the atmosphere was warm, the views were perfect, the staff were all extremely friendly and went above and beyond. Would like to say thank you especially to Charlie, who really knew her wines and took great photos for us!📸😜 Reasonably priced for four of us, we didn’t feel rushed and were able to enjoy our time together. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend! Thank you! 🙌🏽🪷🙏🏽🪷
We had a lovely meal at Cecconi’s this evening - the food and service were fantastic! Sarah was serving us and was very attentive throughout.
We visited this place last week and had such a lovely time. Sarah was very attentive and friendly, the food was amazing and we would definitely visit again.
Had a super birthday lunch on the terrace, staff (especially Sarah) were attentive but unobtrusive, a lovely setting with a varied menu to suit all budgets
This restaurant is pure luxury from the decor to the food to the amazing view. Such friendly helpful service. Will definitely be back!
Food was very tasty and Service five star, thank you to all team!
Delicious food, great atmosphere and amazing view.
Really nice atmosphere and view, quick and efficient service, and our waitress Sarah was lovely :)
Lovely experience sat in the sun with a sea view. Sarah looked after us very well!
Charly was amazing and really went out of her way to look after us amazing afternoon & evening. Food & cocktails were fabulous
David our waiter went above and beyond for us. He made our evening flawless and we would come back just because of him! 5****
Family dinner with nine of us - Angelo was fantastic - really made it fun and special. Totally recommend Cecconis 👍
Super lovely lunch where the team had written us a card to mark a special occasion and were super friendly and service minded. Definitely coming back!
Second time this week I was being served by Sarah and she’s so lovely, attentive and helpful. She’s the absolute dream :)
amazing but very hard to find the place in winter time
Absolutely superb dinner at Cecconi (Soho House on sea) and especial thanks to Luke, Daniel and Marie who really made our evening. Great food. Unrivalled views. Warm welcoming service. Delicious food.
Dahvie was outstanding. He really made our visit special. It was lovely to catch up with friends and Dahvie was so polite and charming. He was so attentive without being over bearing. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us.
We had a wonderful meal at an outdoor table with excellent recommendations (the tortellini! the wine!) and service by our waiter Luke, who made the night extra fun. A memorable evening all around, thanks Luke!
Beautiful food in a beautiful setting. Staff are excellent, particularly enjoy our service from Sarah. Will be back.
Had a really lovely experience at Cecconi’s in Brighton. The food was served hot and tasted great. Everything was cooked just right. The service stood out too. The staff were really attentive with both food and drinks, always making sure we were topped up and comfortable. We were sat outside at first but when the weather turned and it got really windy, the team were quick to bring us inside without any fuss, which we really appreciated. The whole place has a relaxed, chilled out vibe with a stylish setting that’s perfect for a catch up or a nice meal out. Big shout out to the manager Charley who was super welcoming and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Will definitely be back!
Very nice food and atmosphere. Really recommend the trout and the calamari, everything was very good. It’s a nice pocket in Brighton
Gorgeous terrace with a wonderful sea view. The location is perfect and feels very classy. The food was overpriced and the service was a bit slow at times - a 15 min wait for a glass of wine. For cichetti, the meatballs were good. My main wasn’t great. Dog friendly.
Tried it out for the first time. If I’m being honest, not impressed. Now the restaurant has opened up to the general public it’s very busy at times. Not an exclusive feeling but a big show of how not to manage a busy restaurant. Everything started out well and professionally executed but then went downhill. We were served by every waiter and waitress and nobody took control. That’s the mistake. Starters came in good time and our original waiter was fantastic. Then we waited well over an hour for our main course to arrive? Saw the table opposite having a chef apologising for a missed main course to a table saying they lost his order? A new waiter arrived but didn’t give the same dedication but was very friendly. Mains arrived and was raw whilst eating. Couldn’t fault the response by the manager and rectifying the situation but should be right the first time with a limited menu. Would I go back? Not sure but the view of the pier and louts on a Saturday night running around might persuade my opinion!
We’ve been coming to Cecconi’s since day one as SH members but unfortunately, the quality has declined over time. The food no longer has the flavour or finesse it once did. We ordered the Bolognese, rocket and mozzarella salad to start, and the rocket and sage ravioli. The mozzarella and tomato were rock-solid and served far too cold. The pasta was undercooked, and the mince was surprisingly tough. The ravioli lacked depth, and the rocket was underseasoned and felt thrown together. We also used to love the atmosphere, but it was overwhelmingly loud and chaotic this time — not the relaxed, tucked-away spot it once was. It’s a real shame; Cecconi’s used to feel like a bit of a hidden gem in Brighton, but sadly, not anymore.
We pre-booked a table for six on a Saturday evening. The member of staff who served us was friendly and attentive, so no issues there. However, the wait for drinks was surprisingly long, especially considering the bar didn’t appear to be busy. Three of us ordered the chicken dish, which unfortunately arrived undercooked in the middle. The £40 T-bone steak was overcooked, the £17 pizza had just three slices of salami on it, and the minestrone soup was very weak in flavour and more like a bowl of hot water. The mussels were also dry and lacked the creamy sauce you would normally expect. It’s a lovely venue, but the quality of the food did not match the prices, which was disappointing. Based on this experience, we wouldn’t recommend it.
The food was overpriced and really very bad. The avocado and chicken salad did not have any avocado, and the salami pizza was covered din circles of black charcoal (they burnt all the salami). The staff were utterly disinterested and just shrugged when we complained. They genuinely did not care one way or the other. I will certainly not be back! There are some great Italian restaurants in Brighton and this is definitely not one of them. The view is great (as long as you don’t go in July when the beach looks like a building site) but that is it.
A restaurant very confused about it's identity! Is it Italian, is it a pub? The food was very mediocre (we all had roasts) and the service was pretty poor, despite there being plenty of people milling about. It's a great location but other than that I wouldn't recommend it. There are plenty of other great restaurants in Brighton.
The restaurant has a gorgeous terrace, which is lovely on a warm, sunny day...and that's about the only good thing I can say. The service was painfully slow and ineffective and the food (none of which was hot) was incredibly average. When we ate there it wasn't even particularly busy and yet the staff pretty much ignored us and then, when we cornered them to take our order, they messed it up. I did contact the restaurant directly with my feedback but they didn't respond. There are lots of fantastic restaurants to visit in Brighton. This isn't one of them.
Horrific really. Overpriced but nice view. Waited 20 minutes for a bottle of water when first seated, had to go and enquire where it was and find someone to order a drink. No cutlery bought to table, had to go and find some. Tuna tartare was bought in a glass mixing bowl and taken away shin, bland and served with the limpest rocket imaginable. I’ve had more flavoursome pasta at Donatello’s. Bill was £170, asked them to remove the 14.5% service charge seeing as we received no service (also had someone else’s drinks added onto our bill). I’m not one to normally leave a crap review but it really wasn’t great. The basics just weren’t in place. 👎
Pleasant, fun and friendly service but ineffective. Forgot our drinks order. Didn’t know who’d ordered what when the food arrived. No knowledge of wine list. Food for our group of 4 ranged from OK to inedible (returned). Wine is very overpriced for the selection on offer. Bill was ridiculous for quality of food and 14.5% service charge is just inappropriate for the service offered. The venue is fine but many of the tables are unusually low which for many people is not comfortable. Wrote a note directly to the restaurant with constructive comments but didn’t get a reply. Normally I like to give places a second chance but don’t think I’ll be back to this one.
Looks great, but that's where it ends. We sat at our table for 20 minutes without a single member of staff acknowledging us—completely ignored. The place might look impressive, but the service was non-existent. We eventually gave up and left. Went to Chilli Pickle instead—brilliant service and excellent food.
It was awful to be there. The front of the house person greeted us with such disgust as if we were not welcomed there. They seemed disgusted when we asked for a table. I wonder why that is. I took that personally and thought is it because I’m a person of colour on a date with a white man? I saw racism there. Then we got seated and we only wanted drinks. And a waitress came in and said we have to order food we can’t just do drinks. Now that is fair of a restaurant to have. However, they should have asked at the front of the house if we were here for food or drinks and informed us that we couldn’t do only drinks. Then we ordered some fries. Which the waiter brought in and dropped one on the table and said “oops sorry” and then put that back into the bucket of fries. That was disgusting and unhygienic. They should’ve taken the dropped fry and disposed it. It was a horrible experience. I’ve been to London Cecconi’s before twice and each time they welcomed us and was very friendly. We will never go to Brighton Cecconi’s ever again. It is indeed a disgusting place.
As expected, extremely pretentious and not worth a visit. Spend your money elsewhere
