Barrio Cafe is one the best hidden gems of La Punta and Liesa the owner is a large reason for that. She will always greet you warmly with a smile and truly cares about her customers and the quality of food/service. The atmosphere is lush and vibrant with both amazing food and vibes. Best coffee in town, smoothie bowls are always fresh and delicious (only green smoothie bowl in town), sandwiches (toasties) are just right..perfectly seasoned and toasted with abundant toppings and their fresh juices make my day. I make my way here every other day and am never disappointed. Thanks for providing such a unique and beautiful place that always feels a touch like home. Highly recommended!

Avocado and hummus toast was AMAZING! On a delicious multigrain bagel. Owner was adorable and very welcoming - will definitely be back! Also her coffee and green juices were very tasty :)

A charming café with a garden-like setting. Service was prompt, and I enjoyed their breakfast menu. The coffee prices are reasonable, with a delicious and substantial Flat White costing 45 pesos (as of Feb 25). I ordered the Omelette de Espinaca, which was very green :) While this creativity is refreshing, I would prefer real spinach leaves in the future. The pan de masa madre was delicious. The omelette dish was a bit carb-heavy due to the bread and additional potatoes, but this was clearly indicated on the menu, so no complaints there. I'd personally prefer more veggies / greens. The café offers solid and fast WiFi. Seating options are mixed, with some being a bit wobbly and exposed to the sun. Card payment is available. They suggest a rounded-up 15% tip on the bill, which I found somewhat presumptuous. It would be better to let customers choose the tip or stick to the common 10% service charge. I deducted only one star for this, as the coffee prices are quite fair.

Great juices. Coffee is average and service is a bit slow. Waitresses were very tip-hungry whenever we came here. Atmosphere is nice and relaxed.

It’s a cute spot hidden from the busy Main Street in la punta. We did think the portions were kind of small but after all my bagel with eggplant was very yummy and the prices are equal as in the rest of the breakfast places in puerto Escondido.

My friend and I got food poisoning after eating here. They have a very basic kitchen and wash the dishes by hand instead of using a dishwasher. It took us 2–3 days to recover from this. The food was tasty, but hygiene is lacking. The same goes for the bathroom they use, which belongs to a very run-down and dirty hostel next door
