We’ve searched high and low for the best New York pizza and this is the most underrated spot. The sauce is fire, the crust is fire, their hours are amazing and they are open all the time. The name is little Italy, but the taste is BIG!
I love this place. Their pizza is amazing. Definitely my go to place for a quick slice of pizza!! I would recommend this place to both locals and tourists!
I work near this pizza shop and between McDonald's and this establishment. it's a eye sore and attract nearby high schoolers who crowd the side walk while people are going home and coming to work . And that's not the worst part. I was working overnight overtime and walked into place and ordered a slice .the worker took the old slice from the display window and put it in the oven .even if this was the dollar slice it would be horrible but this one slice was 4$ unbelievable! . but they should lower the price or make it goumet because this in the middle stuff is weird. While I'm happy little Italy pizza responded to my review that shows they care and it's more than most businesses but what they didn't discuss was the pizza served to me from the display window and not fresh and worst the price point for the pizza is more than what these students can afford!.12 / 1 Significant improvement as far as the loitering in front of store 3 🌟update 12/5 a new discount deal I noticed outside of this establishment . Good job little Italy pizza !
Bought a pepperoni and mushroom slice on two separate occasions. Slices were a generous NY slice with plenty of pepperoni and mushroom pieces and good cheese and sauce coverage with a 1/2” crust. The toppings were generous enough that there was a fair amount of flop but every bite was tasty. Big enough to make a meal out of the single slice. With tax the P&M slice was about $5.
2 slices and a drink deal is the best. I’m amazed this place has low ratings. As far as New York pizza goes this place is excellent. If you’re looking for your New York slice fix, you’ll be happy you came .
Still my favorite late night place in town. Open late - until 5am. Can't resist the best deal in town. 2 large slices and a fountain drink for $6.95. Nice Thin crust with a good sauce and cheese. Always cooked to the point of bubbling cheese. No table service, just walk up to the counter and order. There are a few tables inside and outside. Super casual.
The smells of pizza draw you in. When you walk in the front door, see the pizza and prices you know you are in the right place. The pizza was delicious. A++ The counter service happy and prompt. A++ The atmosphere is a pizza joint styled place. Grab a seat. Eat your pizza. Enjoy.
I really like most of the slices I’ve had here, cheese was great, grandma was great, margherita was great. Good size, sauce is flavorful, crust has a great texture. I prefer this place to the fancier one across the street. HOWEVER the spinach slice here was really bad, way too much spinach on it. I love vegetables usually but it’s a ridiculous amount. The seating area is a little dingy but nothing terrible. This isn’t fine dining, get over it. Prices are reasonable if a bit high. Hours are fantastic, they’re always open when you need a quick bite. Solid neighborhood staple.
Real good pizza, but often served lukewarm. Gotta ask for it extra hot and even then they often don’t oblige. Still gets 4 stars for really good pizza
Not the best pizza in the city. Not even the best pizza in the UWS. HOWEVER, they have a very good pepperoni slice. I can't speak to the other varieties they offer, but the pepperoni is almost always a solid bet that rivals some of the best in the city. I'm also a huge fan of how they have an extensive condiment station, one of the best in the city.
Some pizzas are better than the others, overall pretty decent pizzas, slices could be a little bigger, that said, it's fair value for money for NYC. As a tourist if you take a little longer to gather your bearings and order, the staff can be a little curt, especially the fellow at the till. They have a fair variety of pizzas, that's why it can take a little longer to decide what you want if you are new to the place!
Twice I order from these guys via Slice app and they screw up the order. First, I order a $10.00 Caesar salad and receive just a bowl of chopped Romaine lettuce—no croutons, Parmesan cheese, tomatoes. Second, I order 3 slices and a $2.50 bottle of Dasani water to make the order minimum. The delivery guy shows up with no water. In short, the pizza is good, but the takeout is dubious. They might screw up your order and steal your money.
Stopped in last night. Out of about 40 tables 37 of them were covered in dirt & crumbs, another table had empty beer bottles. The floor was covered in dirt, crumbs, used napkins, pepperoni, you name it. 2 guys behind the counter, 1 was in charge of the pizza & working. The register guy just stood there switching between staring at the TV & his phone. Only 4 other customers inside. You're gonna tell me there was no time to wipe down the tables & sweep? Filthy, lazy, unacceptable. And don't blame the storm, simple cleaning does not take that much time. If that's the front of house, imagine the back. Never again.
I really should have read the reviews because this is the worst pizza I've ever had since moving to New York City a few years ago. Absolutely awful. The White Slice tasted like a grilled cheese sandwich
This place is upcharging customers, and hoping they don’t notice. The menu literally says $4.99 for a jalapeño pepperoni slice, but they tried to charge me $6.23, and they said it was because of "tax". That's 25% tax. When I complained and pointed out the clearly displayed price on their sign, the cashier said he's just "doing what the owner said". Then he pointed to a sign on the register that said "5% surcharge for credit cards", but when I said I was paying with cash, he said it's the same price either way. They said if I didn’t like the price(their incorrect price) I could leave. This place is straight up scamming customers. Do not go here! Other Little Italy pizza places in the city are actually good, so I can only assume that this specific franchise on the Upper West Side is owned by someone else.
This is the last time I will ever eat here. It was 37 degrees, windy, and sleeting, and the front door was left wide open while people were trying to eat. I politely asked the guy at the register to close it. He said yes — and then just stood there and didn’t do it. When I finally closed it myself, he got in my face and kept asking if I “didn’t understand him.” That kind of aggressive and disrespectful behavior toward a customer is unacceptable. Instead of making sure people inside were comfortable and their food wasn’t getting cold, he chose to argue and intimidate me. Expanding a dining area means nothing if customers are freezing while eating. Terrible service and zero professionalism. I won’t be back.
I was extremely disappointed with this place. The food was terrible—pizza was cold, soggy, and completely lacking flavor. The crust tasted stale and the toppings felt cheap and poorly prepared. On top of that, the deals they advertise are misleading. The so-called “specials” weren’t honored in-store, and when I asked about them, staff acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. It honestly felt like false advertising just to get customers in the door. For the price, this place is absolutely not worth it. I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
I used to come here all the time and was treated very well I would even get left off the hook if I was a couple bucks short but after coming here these later days I’ve noticed some new employees are extremely rude 1st incident was when I got my pizza and he dident give the full amount of change so I asked again and he visually got angry and grunted something I don’t know what he said it was in Spanish. Incident 2 I was with my friends and they got some pizza at the time I really had to use the restroom so I asked very politely if I could use the restroom after they just ordered to which he told me once that I couldn’t and then just ignored me. Incident 3 I was with my friend at the time he had a broken ankle so I was helping him walk round after I bought the pizza he told my friend to hurry up cause he was distracted and said oh I hope your card doesn’t decline I just think this was a bit inappropriate especially the fact I’m only a sophomore in high school this behavior is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE
Don’t usually write bad reviews, but this place is not good. Workers are terrible and treat their job like a joke, their bathroom says “customers only” and they let in a guy who didn’t buy anything before me, when I bought 2 slices and a bottle water. I’ve been here a couple years back, pizza was great, now the cheese tastes watery and honestly very poor pizza for 4 bucks. If you’re around the area, walk the couple of blocks and spend your money elsewhere because this pizza is not good at all. Dominos Pizza has better flavor. Its a disgrace.
