Munchy's Sandwiches is a local favorite known for its steamed sandwiches, especially the chicken bacon ranch on Hawaiian roll. Many appreciate the nostalgic, hometown feel and friendly service. Some find it pricey for what it is, and inconsistent food quality is a concern.

I have been coming to Munchy’s since before I could walk. When I heard they were moving from their original Caraway location I was concerned their recipes or flavors would change. Not only did they prove me wrong, they got even better. If you’re looking for a good lunch, stop in for a steamed sub sandwich and some fresh waffle fries. I promise you won’t regret it.
My husband and I love this place he got the French dip and I got the Rogers the light and we also got an order of the hot cheese fries they have great sauce it was amazing cheese pole my husband had already eaten half of his sandwich for the time I was able to get a picture it was great food and can't wait for the next visit
Definitely a great treating sandwich. The hot sticks are decent, I'd like them to be a bit hotter, but good as is. The steak is tender and juicy, the veggies taste fresh and the cheese sauce on top just elevates the sandwich enough to have it become a party on your taste buds. This is my second visit (I wolfed down the first sub without so much as a thought to a review, but I managed to contain my excitement long enough to write this review 😅). Anyways, don't dawdle on here, go get your own and join me for lunch/dinner. I know I'm going to.
The food was just okay, the service was just okay, the atmosphere is.... Okay. At least the pricing wasn't high but it's pretty middle of the road. My sandwich was a little salty and soggy. Not sure if there could have been some fixins added or not because our cashier was kinda out of it. Baked potato was quite good however, and large. Maybe could have used a little extra sour cream or ranch to moisten the whole thing up. Frito chili pie and mozzarella sticks were pretty good. Overall an interesting place, like fair food in a restaurant. I feel it could have been executed just a little better than what we experienced.
Upon entering I went to use the men’s restroom. It was partially open with a out of order sign on the door. So I used the women’s. It was clean and orderly. I ordered the jumbo corn dog, o ion rings and Philly cheese steak! The corn dog was burnt. The food was cooked and served hot and fresh!! The Philly cheese steak was very good! The portions were good. The price was $18 dollars to include a drink. I had the lemonade from the fountain drink station which was clean and orderly. When I first entered and used the bathroom I noticed the floor was peeling and dirty. Once my order came the staff began sweeping the floor. I was the only costumer at the time. Overall the food was good. The price was a little more than expected. I could have eaten at subway or jimmy johns. I wanted to give Munchys a try. I would come again but wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience.
I know this is a Jonesboro staple and it's very popular with the college kids. A long-standing jewel of the community. 💎 However, taste is subjective so take my opinion with a grain of salt. It was ok. I ordered a Philly cheese steak and the steak was minced thin, cooked extremely well-done (read dry) and crumbly. In all fairness, i have yet to eat a Philly cheesteak done right by ANY food establishment in Jonesboro. The service was great, fast and efficient. I just did not like the sandwich and will not order it again. The Dirty Potato style jalapeno heat kettle chips are salty, too! That's on the chip maker, tho. Ms.Vickie's brand is just right but this brand, whew! Extremely salty.
The food at Munchies is delicious and I have no complaints with the food. I do think it’s a bit pricey but I have yet to have bad food. My problem is the customer service or lack there of! The staff is a bit rude and will avoid eye contact with you if you are waiting for them to take your order. If you call they immediately place you on hold and you will be on hold forever and no one comes back to the line. The managers can be rude as well. Unfortunately, when they are busy they do not know how to manage it. I love the food though. I sometimes overlook the bad customer service because I love their Cajun Turkey sandwich & hot sticks!
Ok....so. I loved munchy's back when it was in the old location. It was a special treat. So we have been to the new location 2 times. Both at different times of the day and days of the week. Another think I DO NOT like leaving bad reviews, I just dont, especially local businesses. Anyway, this time we went in, the cashier/person taking order mumbled everything, and didn't do eye contact much (that's fine, ok) so I made sure to repeat myself quite often. I went by each person placing order, 1rst son, 2nd, 3rd. Made sure I personally spoke because sometimes kids are hard to follow. Then my husband (which I also repeated order for her. We were being stared daggers at through the partition to the kitchen the entire time by kitchen staff (no idea why lol I was like wow they must not be having a good day) Anyway so we placed order. Paid. Expensive might I add because sides are like individual ala carte kind of thing. So anyway. I made sure to let her know I would like some pepperoncini's please (bare minimum of 6 times) so she brings the order to us, my husband's entire sandwich wasn't there and no peppers 😔 that's ok he goes up and just ordered him another. No big deal. Also made sure to request some peppers and some ranch for my sons chicken strips, ok so then later that's finished, his fries are cold by then but we often share food so he wasn't like starving or anything lol well it took everything pretty much to get the pepperonchinis. By the way, the entire restaurant was absolutely deserted so I'm assuming they were just feeling inconvenienced by having customers. That's the vibe I got the entire time. Just super sad because I loved the place for years. Such a shame.
Employees were nice, food came fast, and place was nice and well kept. The food was expensive considering it was edible but not good. Makes subway great in comparison and subway would’ve been about 1/2 the price. $40 for 3 tiny sandwiches and a drink. Food was Soggy, had almost no flavor, and room temperature.
Very low quality food. Cheese sticks are like those you get at dollar general. Sandwich was microwaved to lava and didnt put sauce it was supposed to have on it. Total waste of $20 I hope my stomach doesnt hurt.
The worst philly cheesesteak i've ever ate in my life. They use nacho cheese.I got double meat and it was just enough meat for a regular sandwich.I paid twelve dollars for this sandwich and it was nasty i don't suggest anyone eating there. It was god awful for the price. The food was so small The counter woman didn't even want to look at you.Was nasty what kind of sandwich, stop using nacho cheese on a philly stake and cheese
I don't know how this place is open. It's food you can buy at Walmart and make yourself. Cheep lunch meat and cheese whiz yuck! This place got it's fame back in the day with drunk collage kids looking for cheep food to eat. So many better places in Jonesboro to eat at.
I’ve been going there since the mid 70s . Today I ordered my usual . A hoagie and cheese sticks . Apparently someone doesn’t know how to make a hoagie or they didn’t listen to my order . Ordered the hoagie with everything -When I got to my table, it looked like just a plain ham sandwich with nothing on it. Was pissed !!
