If you live in the area you should definitely give this food a try. It tastes pretty good and their service is good.
Stepped in, to wait for the bus out of the cold and I was STARVING. They had a very tastey chickpea chana, that basically taste like roasted chickpea in curry. A vegan heaven. It wasn’t warm but when you are as hungry as me, you won’t complain. It was still very good!
The best restaurant in NY. They welcomed me with a red carpet. And that's not all. They put a butterfly show just for me. Getting five stars for their service. I dont know about the food tho.
My husband and I went here for lunch and were seriously impressed. While I'm not sure how the service would be if they were really busy, when we went around 11:00 on a Friday morning, it was outstanding. The staff was friendly and was eager to answer any questions we had about the food. As for the food itself, it's not only your typical Chinese food. While they have the usual General Tso's chicken and beef with broccoli, the majority of the menu is made up of Chinese dishes with an Indian flair like fish chilli Masala and chicken Manchurian. We started with chicken dumplings and shrimp pekora as appetizers, and went on to beef Manchurian and beef chilli Masala with egg rice for our entres. The beef Manchurian was one of the best beef dishes I've ever tasted - spicy but worth every drop of sweat while eating it. Finally, stuffed as we were, our waiter talked us into having their special dessert, Faludah, which is like nothing I've ever had before. It's a mixture (I think) of yogurt, vanilla ice cream, pomegranate, grapes, almonds, and some type of noodle. Yes, noodle. It had other ingredients, but I won't even venture to guess what they were. I'll just say that it was delicious and just sweet enough to let you know it was a dessert. Now regarding portions, let's just say that the portions were large enough to fill up even my husband, who loves to eat. In other words, they were big. 'Nuf said.
Usually Bangladeshi restaurants don’t have customer service but the moment I walked in, an elderly gentleman by the name of Ashraf greeted me and told me all the specials for the day. Not going to lie, this encouraged me to buy more than I needed to lol. But in either case, Abdullah Sweets is the OG in Bangladeshi sweets and other dishes. Their roshgolla sweet case is through the roof. I appreciate the excellent customer service by Ashraf uncle and hope to see him more. P.S. this is a hole in the wall type restaurant. Good for take out, seating is maybe for about 8 people max. Also, their tea is good!
This is a popular halal restaurant in New York especially all kind of Biryani here I have had and ownton here is a very interesting meal ‘especially though the place is small inside but the food and customer service is very good.
Their chicken samosa is super yummy for only $1 and their lentil pakora is 2 or $1. Their chicken ross is $3 and it comes with one chicken thigh and leg and an egg. Their food is definitely legit! Must give this place a try.
The food and decorations were tasty! We had chicken Manchurian and seafood chow menu. Both were delicious.
The cook was really nice, told us what everything was and gave us huge portions. Delicious, delicious lamb biryani, and the other stuff I tried was good as well. The cha (Indian style tea) was also really good. 25 bucks for three big meals and three drinks, a great bargain.
We friends had a little party of 10 people at Abdullah Chinese. We will say food here is excellent! Freshly cooked and tasty! I will recommend my friends to go there without second thought.
Very good store, best bengali store in United States

They maintained their standards even during peak hours. All guests showed satisfaction with their dishes. Staff is consistently friendly and provides thorough assistance. This restaurant earns its popularity. This spot guarantees my return.
The food here makes me smile every time I take a bite. Every employee shows genuine enjoyment. You get friendly attention, tasty meals, and substantial servings here. As for the food: Interesting flavor combinations. An absolutely unforgettable experience!
6/21/24 We stopped in here to look at the sweets. The female owner and her husband were so friendly. They explained all the sweets in the case to us. They were very welcoming into their restaurant.

Good food. The owner came to the table and conversed which was really nice. We had many item from the menu. But all loved the beef sizzler !
The food was pretty good here. Very different from the regular Chinese food. Just wish everything didn’t. Have the same tomato taste.
Great food, place is small so I recommend take out. Wish they would keep the place a little cleaner.
Very nice atmosphere and great customer service. The food was phenomenal! ! ! !

I am being generous with the stars. I am Bengali and I thought the food was less than the usual standard for Bengali Restaurant. The Byriani was good but had too much oil. The chicken tikka is supposed to be baked but for some reason it had way too much oil. Experience is meh, and I am hungry, spent 15 dollars and did not enjoy the food.
Not sure about anything in this place but their Roshgullah are sooooo good and fresh! I enjoyed it so much and I always look for this texture and taste with Roshgullah but I can never find it but this one hits the spot!
I feel like those food are from yesterday 😩😩😩 It’s kinda smelly ... They don’t have enough customer ..Always empty

The restaurant looks great. Good place to bring your date. Unfortunately the food is not something to brag about. Adding insult to injury it's also a bit pricey. Our waiter was nice. So overall I think this place is worth 3 star. If there was a 2.5 star I'd give it that. Restaurant, staff and food presentation is a plus. Food taste and price is a minus.

NOT SO GREAT! Over priced for sure! Sad thing is i know the family that runs n owns the place. The pepper steak was not cooked properly n smelled. Not planning to stop by again in any time soon.
Over priced, but clean. Giving a bad review because on their website it listed "chicken fingers" as an appetizer but when we went the owner said they don't make anything boneless. Like, okay.. take that off your menu then.
The food was good, but the service was very bad. They do not know how to serve. Waiter forgot what we order. Appetizer served after main dish. We finished our main dish and they did not serve Mango Lassi. Worst serving ever had!
Been to this place twice and both times customer service was horrible. The food took forever to make. Would not recommend this place to anyone as there are many more similar restaurants around the area.
Not bad, I tried a couple things on their menu. I had something with bitter melon and their spicy rice. Really not into too much spice in my food. It was a bit strong for me not to mention it was really spicy. The people who work there are nice though. Just not into this type of food, but I wanted to give it a try.

Worst customer service ever. Their samosa and pakora are so oily that you won't be able to eat. Worst part they won't even give you money back or exchange if you buy their oily pakora. You should think twice before considering eating there.
Ordered from this place at 8:47pm, called 9:50 about my order. The guy on the phone says I never placed an order even though the restaurant confirmed it through Grubhub.
Clean and decent place but food is not so good and overpriced. They are definitely not aware what's called customer service.
Go to this place at your own risk! Just be warned that although the food is not terrible, you most likely will not get what you ordered nor will they know how to explain what most items on the menu are. The menu is huge but quantity cannot deliver quality in this case! This place does not deserve to belong in the restaurant industry at all - since when one asks the server or counterperson what a basic menu item is, you would think the person working there would know the basic menu item description - but not here, these people have no clue! I ordered hot and sour soup expecting traditional Chinese restaurant style hot and sour soup yet what I got was a thick orange soup which had an Indian flavor to it. When I asked the difference between the Thai soup and the Tom Yum soup they did not know - they could not even use basic descriptive words to describe taste like hot, sour, sweet etc - they simply had blank looks on their faces. So they basically do not know what they are serving. I also ordered the Abdullah special Manchurian hot and sour chow mein and what I got was basically spaghetti noodles that did not taste hot and sour at all but some sort of undefined sweet taste - which tasted fine but it was not the menu item that I had been expecting at all! I think this is a halal place that is trying hard to serve "Chinese food" yet fails in doing so since the food is coming from an Indian/Pakistani/Bengali background with no understanding of the elements of Asian cooking. Having eaten in many kosher and halal restaurants due to my dietary restrictions, I can safely say this place is in no way comparable to other places. Try Fatima's in Astoria for real authentic Chinese Halal food instead or any other Halal Chinese food location - but this one doesn't deliver authentic Chinese halal food at all. It is a shame because Brooklyn needs good halal places. I will not return here for fear they will mess up any other item I might order - I encourage you to believe the other reviews written online that say that what you order here will not be the item that you can expect to get! That is the truth. Very dissatisfied and if you do try it, you will see for yourself what a chaotic and unorganized place this is. Beware...
This is the worst restaurant any one can ever experience considering food quality, price quantity ratio, and professionalism. DO NOT EAT IN THIS BRAND NEW RESTAURANT. They are still learning how to cook Chinese food. I have ordered 2 Thai Soup : Ok 2 wonton : You should better try chicken Samusa 3 Abdullah Special fried rice: Ok though a little oily 1 Chicken Fried Rice : Ok 2 Mix Chinese Vegitable with white sauce: worst. Please do not try 2 Chicken fry : Stinky smell, no salt no chilly. On their webpage they said 6 pc/ dish but they delivered 4pc/ dish. 2 Beef Sizzler : Beef is chewy. Not at all sizzler. I double checked whether this dish will be a smoked one ( I love sizzler. I even asked in Bengali) but it was delivered in a curry style. I called them back they said yes it is gravy kind when we deliver it home. 🙄 I ordered corn 8 ppl. They took 23 mins to get the order over the phone. REALLY!!!. They said it will take 30 mins to deliver but they took 2.45 mins. The reason behind that was the year had inspector at the Resturant so they couldn’t cook. WOW!!! It was $150 order so they did not wanted to loose the business doesn’t be matter how long the customer need to wait.
The food taste like ass. Don’t waste your money, time, and, energy going there. Stick to Sagar if you want good quality “Desi Chinese” Food. Also disappointed even more after hearing their chef watch YouTube videos to cook all the item lol.
October 10th 2017.In one word worst Chinese food with very very very worst service ( Manager was too stupid)!!! We wait for food Almost an hour and funny thing was we were only 2 customers in the restaurant. Sizzlare beef was burnt with wired spices, which had no flavor of Chinese food ever. Also the fried rice had the taste of DESHI food like a chicken biryani. Just wastes of money...........
THEY MAKE THIER FOOD USING YOUTUBE LITERALLY FROM YOUTUBE I HEARD IT DIRECTLY FROM THE CHEF WHO CAME OUT AND TOLD THE BOSS OF THE STORE TO TRY THE FOOD THAT HE USE YOUTUBE. And they call this the best halal Chinese in town 😂😂 This food is by far the worst food you will ever eat. I was there along with 2 other customers who was done eating long time ago they were just waiting for their check and the lady who takes order in the front didn’t even write down the check. Once they got the check thier payment method was credit card the customer had to get up and go upto the front to sign that credit card off. Every restaurant they give you receipt to sign on they literally called her and told her to come and sign that paper. I ordered my food as simple as Chicken fried rice and chicken lollipop that was it they took 28 min exact I timed it I had my car double parked thinking they would make it in a timely manner or so over 20min I came back asking if it’s ready the lady in front goes 5 more min I waited till it’s ready after 28 min pass she says it’s ready. She gave me napkin*****( she couldnt find a place to wipe her fingers so she used the customers napkin that they give out and she gave me the one with she wiped her fingers with)****and fork. By far the worst customer service you can get is here and by the way if you are planning to go there and get a quick lunch food during your lunch say good bye to your lunch hour.
I stopped visiting Abdullah restaurant long time ago, But today I was craving for Moglai Porota and look what they gave me. I took it back and told the owner to it. And also told them to keep the money too. I was given them one chance and they fail. Never aging. If anyone ever visit Abdullah restaurant you should check the items before you leave the restaurant.
I was at this restaurant today .. And it was a bad experience the worker is unprofessional and slow. Also the chief came out the kitchen keep asking questions while we try to eat. The worker need to pay more attention and be faster and more professional.
i loss My Dollars very bed Rosmali
They sell old rotten disintegrated sweet and mixing with new sweet. It happened to me few times. You have to be very vigilant to buy something from here.
Worst $12 I ever spent!! Food was cold! Dead flies in the food! I ordered something’s else they brought the wrong food! Please don’t go here! Manager was on his phone with speaker on the whole time!
Very rude staff, and definitely not a clean place to eat. I’ve seen cockroaches here walking underneath the tables, but now they try to cover it up using longer table clothes.
Not worth the money. They tried to copy Sagar Chinese (Jamaica NY), however the food doesn’t taste like that restaurant. In fact, it’s more expensive than Sagar Chinese. The lollipop chicken looks like local Chinese restaurant fried chicken—only smaller.
I ordered beef kacchi Bryani from Abdullah store. They charged $18 for it and it was one of the worst I have ever had. High Price doesn’t justify the flavor, taste or quality of the food at all. I had many kacchi byrani from many stores and around the world, this is one of the worst I ever had. improper salt and seasoning, no ghee but over usage of only oil, no aroma, , no smoky flavor that is typical of kacchi Bryani cooked using wood or charcoal, the authentic way. They are ripping off people in the name of “kacchi Bryani “ serving such low quality food is very disappointing. Absolutely NO to beef kacchi byrani !!! , I ordered chicken Byrani as well and it was $8 and it was spoiled and fermented. I ordered the same item a week before and flavor and taste was great and thought to return to purchase again with other items, only to be disappointed. They do not maintain food temperature properly caused spoilage is very dangerous for public health, so keep that in mind. Smell before buying,
This is the worst sweet/misti we ever had…too much color, terrible taste.. very disappointed. 😔 😕

By the worst experience I’ve ever had. We placed a very large order for an event and kept communicating with the owner. The day of the pick up, we came to see that the store was closed and we called the owner immediately to which he said he can’t fulfill the order. We traveled from a different state for this order. They had previously served us rotten sweets and told us they would replace them when fulfilling this new order. When confronted, the owner started yelling and cursing at us. Horrible service, horrible food, horrible people.
Insanely rude workers, ESPECIALLY THE OWNER!!! They have sanitary issues as well and should be reported to the health department.
Worst Kalu jam ever. Tasted like rancid oil and bad texture. They don’t know how to make real kalu jam its like dough. I tried their other meesty they all tasted bad. Just looks good but. Flavor and texture is terrible. They are a waste of money and food. 🤢🤮
There price is to much high from other sweet shop. No clean , no good service. That's why they got sometimes tickets and close for few days. Even one day I went to buy siskebab and it's was pungus. So be careful guys before you buy anything from the store.
The sweets are way over priced and they say one price but when I went to pay they charged me another price, also getting sweets from the back I feel like the quality is not the same.
