Really good pizza. Love the vibe. Worth the price.
I just moved my daughter into an apartment in the neighborhood and we did a to go/pickup order and loved it! super friendly & kind employees as well as delicious pizza! we loved it so much that we ate there again another night! John was super kind as well as the other employees!
I tried this place last night for dinner. It was so delicious I brought my husband back for lunch today. Super crisp sourdough crust with fresh ingredients. If you loved Roscos and you refuse to eat vegan pizza (like me), def check this place out!
Crown Heights Pizza recently did a large custom order for an event I hosted, and they were so wonderful to work with! Their pizza is everything you want in a NY slice, and they were so great about accommodating our needs for the event.
Awesome. Great pizza and people
Great pixza that hits on all the important points - good cheese / sauce proportion, garlicky tomato sauce, crispy crust that stands on its own to enjoy after you've eaten there rest of your slice. Spoke with John who was a really nice guy. Pepperoni roll was great. Thry have beer, IPAs, Peroni, and Bud. Not the cheapest but you're buying quality.
Really good pizza! I’ve only had their plain and pepperoni slices but they are super tasty. They also have beer and soda
I only had it as leftover birthday pizza, but this is quality stuff. Chewy slightly blackened, sourdough crust that even the kids ate the ends of. Cheese had a parmesan tang. Excellent pizza box pizza, will be my go-to.
Honestly that was the best pizza in my entire life! We had the Sicilian grandma pizza when we visited NY, and I still have the taste of the most amazing pizza sauce. Do you deliver in London :p
Our favorite neighborhood pizza joint. Super tasty, super easy. We love the mushroom margherita and the grandma slice! 🍕🍕
Got margherita and mushroom slices along with beef patties. Great small New York style pizzeria. The pizza was well baked and flavors were balanced. Not too greasy. Owner and workers were all nice. Prices are reasonable for the size of pizza, quality of ingredients, and location. Give them a shot if you are in the area.
First time customer, ordered a Sicilian. I have lived in NYC 10+ years and this was legitimately some of the best pizza I have every had. BF is a native new yorker and agrees! It was faster than estimated and staff were super friendly. Will def order from them again
This is the best Pizza in town . Everyone at the shop shows love and respect .. I’ve never wasted a dollar here all the slices a fresh and flavorful. Buffalo wings are cooked to perfection .( not the rubbery stuff the other places have ) the knots are zepps are the best in city !!!
Great pizza here that has gotten better and better over the last few months. Or maybe it's about what you choose? I just had the pepperoni and the square plain and I am really satisfied. The square has the best crust and dough. No critique for those slices. I'm not loyal to one pizza shop off Franklin avenue, and I've yet to find a bad one.
The best pizza in the neighborhood – not even close. And frankly, some of the best pizza in the city. The whole crew is super friendly and everything is fresh and delicious. My wife and I order pickup or delivery once a week, at least. Our favorites: vodka pizza, arugula salad, buffalo chicken slice, chicken parm. But honestly you can't go wrong.
Decide that tonight was the night that I was going to give #crownheightspizza a call. Please allow me to share that I was definitely impressed! The dough is flavorful and perfectly fired. The sauce is light and at the same time nicely seasoned. The tomatoes are very fresh tasting. Looking forward to ordering a siciliano pie next time. I enjoyed eggplant parmigiana and let me say,…magnificent!!! The eggplant has a, ever so slight, hint of heat. It is barely there but saying perfection is definitely not enough. I truly enjoyed how this Italian meal presented a healthier, lighter, version and I will be ordering again. My family absolutely loved the large, half pepperoni, half cheese combination. Shout out to the chef!!!!! Crown Height Pizza is now our go to for pizza.
Some of the best gluten free pizza in Brooklyn, serious about cross contamination prevention. Extremely friendly owner who is really excited about feeding people good food.
Love this place! The dough is perfect. Crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. They even sell beer/wine to go which is fun and there is seating outdoors. The only downside is that it’s a little pricy for a causal pizza-by-the-slice joint
This is seriously good pizza. I live in Prospect Heights and I've tried every place between here and Union St Pizza, this has the best NYC slices out of any of them. The bottom is crunchy and charred, the sauce is savory and not too sweet, the pepperoni curl up into little cups and brown at the edges. Eat here!
Excellent pizza. The slice with pesto is my favorite- it’s amazing! Friendly guys and customer service.
My go to pizza spot in the neighborhood that reminds me of a time before when you’d just ‘grab a quick slice’ in NY. Things have definitely changed and it’s nice that there’s a place you can come grab a slice, a beverage, have a seat and enjoy the vibes before going about your day.
A great new addition to the pizza scene in Crown Heights/Prospect Heights. The pizza is a cut above your typical New York slice, I particularly like the excellent crust and high quality toppings. Want to order a pie or just pick up a slice? This is the best option in the neighborhood.
It's so nice to have a pizza place near the Franklin Ave station. I've eaten here a few times, and the quality has been consistently good. There's a $10 card minimum, so bring cash if you just want a slice or two.
The pizza is excellent and the vibe is great also love the outdoor seating
They have garlic knots! My pizza was tasty and I will go back to try other combos. The pie price was fairly priced to match the area but it's a little more than I'm comfortable paying regularly.
Really a great new spot!! The pizza is bursting with flavor. The people that work here are super friendly and inviting. Many options to try on the menu. The place is really clean too! Really happy they have come to the neighborhood, we needed this!
Super sweet staff and delicious food! And they have gluten free pizza!
The best place to get a quick slice around the corner. Highly recommended, especially the chef’s special Sicilian pie. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly. They take all the precautions which is extremely important nowadays. Can’t wait till city allows inside dining so we can bring families and friends and enjoy the best pizza of the town!!!
My favorite Pizza place. Seriously the best pizza I've ever had. The staff is super friendly, professional and welcoming. I always order the Buffalo slices. Yum-😋! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕👍🏾
Best, best pizza - and beyond incredible service! Uber messed up our delivery address - but these guys went to the effort of calling us and delivering our meal regardless. Super appreciate their time, and our dinner! Cheese pie and spinach roll were perfect.
Great pizza! The owner is so nice. Love the variety of options
The best pizza on the block and the service is amazing for a quick bite place. Would highly suggest this place
Some of the best pizza i ever had in Brooklyn
Hot Damn! Watch out! Serious pizza player on the block ! Wow! Oh yeah it’s not 1.50$ , but believe me you will taste every penny on that slice, fantastic in every aspect. Big fan. Everyone check this place out if u love pizza! ❤️
Best pizza in Brooklyn hands down. Can’t miss spot.
great pizza, The service is amazing. the pizza is super high-quality. I think it's out of this planet. Please come down and try these pizzas. The new pinwheels are amazing. I've never seen these pinwheels anywhere else. Close to train station 234 and 5 Eastern Parkway in Franklin Avenue. Please come by. Dine in or takeout SUPER FRESH INGREDIENTS ALL THE TIME THEY ALSO HAVE BEERS🍻
The hype is real. I can’t believe how expensive pizza is in 2024 but if you’re gonna pay that much it better be from here. The naturally leavened crust is outstanding. Positively mouthwatering. Perfect cook on the bottom, so much delightfully fresh cheese, the pepperoni cups, what’s not to love???? I kept saying wow this is actually really good with every bite. I can’t wait to order again.
Exemplars of NYC-style slices. Great crust, sauce, and cheese.
If you want genuine New York style pizza, this is the place. This was my first time coming here and I had a great time. The pizza was hot and fresh, and delicious. As well as the garlic knots I ordered was beautiful. 10/10 recommend.
This place is great. I had to come on here to give a review due to the fact that this lady named Jay bee was so rude and very nasty to the guy behind the counter it was crazy. Those guys are the best for having the patience and understanding of this lady she was so nasty to them. Love me some crown heights pizza 🍕
Joe & Carlos (& Tina) went above and beyond when I picked up a large order for a production I was assisting on. They were on time and insisted on carrying out all the pizzas out to the car and packing them to make sure they didn’t fall. Now that’s what I call 5 star service! Plus, the pizza is amazing.
Update Dec.2023. Still among the best places for pizza, and it shows since they're always bustling! Call ahead, be patient. Best bang for the buck. Old review: Somehow I missed that this place opened...just a block from me! Tried 4 different slices with my kid, ended up coming back couple days later for full pie. May be our new go-to for ordering in. Still love some of the other places that have better pizza and a back garden, but you also pay quite a bit more for better quality and less quantity.
Hands down, one of the best pizza spots in Brooklyn! I moved into the neighborhood a few months ago and found this place while I was exploring the area. I love their Margherita pizza and my daughter loves the grandma pizza. The pizza is always fresh and you can taste the fresh and natural ingredients. We come here on a regular basis now every time we need a quick lunch or snack.
It’s ya boy jr this the best pizza in crown heights Brooklyn come by and support.
One of the best pizzas I've ever had had. Tasty and crisp, and a great crew behind the counter. Highly recommended.
Good, unpretentious pizza. It's not super fancy and the pizza is not artisan with some distinctive hook. It's just good, well made pizza, and sometimes that's all you need.
I live in PLG. I recently went to a birthday party - battle of the pizza theme. I chose CHP! I called and told them about the neighborhood contest and to make me their best pizza. There were nine pizzerias + 1 home made. Voting was “favorite” & “2nd favorite”. I won both spots! After I rode over to CHP n showed them the trophy and took their picture!! They were over the moon! Crushed it!! All of us are planning to go back to celebrate!! Great guys!!
Everything was absolutely amazing and to the guy who wrote a one star review because they were closed. It’s a Jewish holiday. Thank you very much and they didn’t want to put signs up or anything because there’s a lot of Jewish. Hate around here. Thank you for everyone for understanding and have a beautiful day.
Updated Jan 2024: I’m docking one star because the pricing on their website is wrong, their real pricing is about $8-$10 higher per pie. They really need to update that. That said, I still think they’re the best casual slice in the neighborhood. — Easily the best pizza in all of Crown Heights. No bells and whistles - this is the quintessential NYC pizza joint you’ve been searching for, but amped up several notches because the quality and consistency is just excellent. Have been here multiple times - you can never go wrong with a classic cheese slice or a grandma slice. I recently enjoyed a slice of the Sicilian (pictured) for lunch. The guys that work here are friendly, they’ve got outdoor seating and fast delivery, the price is right — what’s not to love? Do yourself a favor and go get a slice from Crown, you’ll be happy you did.
I absolutely adore Crown Heights Pizza! My favorite choice is their classic cheese and pepperoni pizza. On November 4, 2023, I ordered an 18" whole pepperoni pizza, and the total cost came to $32 after tax. The crust is chewy and perfectly seasoned, and I particularly appreciate its thinness. I rarely find burnt crust here. Plus, there's a charming and almost romantic ambiance when you dine outside the store at night. They also offer a great variety of drink options.
Searched for Pizza places traveling from Nashville ❤️ Oh my Goodness!!! So glad we started here first! The vibe was amazing when we walked in, greeted with Love, we ordered food…..probably more than we should because every slice looked absolutely amazing! Got our Pizza and Dined In. Great Beverage selections! The music was great. Definitely stopping back in!!
Great pizza for slices or to pick up a whole pie. Not much flip to the slice which is how I like it. Has every slice you can think of and the Sicilian with pepperoni the slice I usually get. The bread for the chicken parm is great. I prefer the Buffalo chicken pizza without the jalapeños and ask for extra sauce on chicken parm. Bread is nice and strong so it can stay crispy even with the extra sauce
The solid New York slice place that was missing in this neighborhood finally arrived when Crown Heights Pizza opened. Great slices, and the lunch deal (2 plain slices & 1 soda for $6 on weekdays) is unbeatable. Ignore all the other slice places in the area, head straight to Crown Heights Pizza (and thank me later).
Slow delivery. good cheese pies (but avoid the fancier ones). Pizzas are slightly crusty and have a unique sweet tomato sauce.
Really good pizza! The delivery guy told me to stop in and I will be. Lived up to the review hype, can't wait to try other slices and other food items there. New pizza spot found.
Great circle pie, fast delivery. Points off because the grandma pie was too sweet. Either they put sugar in the sauce or their tomatoes need some acidity or something. Didn't try the sicilian.
Above average pizza. Small place. Good customer service.
This is our newly adopted go-to for pizza. They make a fantastic New York slice but with unexpectedly good flavor. Our only gripe is that on Door Dash it’s $8 per any additional topping regardless of if it’s onions, basil or sausage. We hope it’s a pricing entry mistake and will be fixed soon!! Otherwise super tasty pizza with great texture.
Really expensive and nothing special. $30 for four slices. Cheese seems low quality. Plenty of better pizza around the neighborhood for a fair price.
Walked by recently and was excited to have another pizza option in the neighborhood! We ordered delivery and while the pizza itself was great—crust on the thinner side, crispy pepperoni, and good sauce—it was disappointing that our topping order wasn’t right for an order for just one pizza. We ordered a full topping of banana peppers and pepperoni and instead got half banana peppers, half pepperoni.
The grandma slice slaps, but the plain Jane (reg cheese slice) and others ain’t hittin
I did not expect each slice to be $6 and I wish I asked before I made my picks. I got two slices expecting them to be the best thing on god’s earth and it was…just good. It was good pizza but both were slightly burnt. I don’t think I’ll be going back.
Seriously the best pizza I’ve had in New York. Hands down. In my opinion head to head with Joes or better. I used to eat here all the time but recently after tracking what I ate - unfortunately the last 4 times I exclusively ate here for dinner I ended up sick with severe stomach cramping and issues for days. The pizza is so good I didn’t want it to be true. I believe it may have been the yeast? (Btw I have ZERO allergies).
Pizzas were bland and dough was hard and chewy, barely edible. Dominos makes a better pie. Had poppers as well, they were adequate but didn't come with any dipping sauce. Overpriced as well.
The regular plain slice was pretty bad. I think it’s been sitting out for a while...Ive had better from dollar slice shops. The other pizzas with toppings looked good but not sure how good it will taste.
I’ve tried to like this place but just can’t after 3 visits. The owner or manager (short white guy) is rude and pompous to both customers and his staff. The prices are high and they’ve begun to cut corners on ingredients.
I ordered a cheese pizza — it was thin and didn’t have enough sauce for my taste. There is outdoor seating, but I don’t plan on returning.
I do not recommend this establishment. Bad service, bad pizza.
Just received my order. Pizza was not only cold but like cardboard. The price is absolutely not worth what you get. Taste was so cheap. The quality of ingredients are the bottom of the barrel. Will never order from here again.
It's annoying that they don't print the cost per slice on their website or on the menu in the shop. It feels like they're trying to rip you off if they don't have the price printed anywhere. It turns out that it's 4 dollars a slice.
Not really sure what to say other than "Seriously?" Ordered a pizza for pickup directly to avoid the apps taking their share, was told "45, uh 50 minutes." Came to the shop, they didn't start making the pizza until my wife arrived. The price on the website is lower than the price they charge in the store for a pizza that was 30 minutes late. No thanks.
Lights off, door closed the past 2 days at 7:30PM, no sign or anything? Not sure what’s up. Disappointing.
Scammy and below average pizza. Two pies $74 without tip. One of which plain cheese! The other three veggies. Tried to hang up without giving a total. I had to ask for it and if I could use my credit card. He says if you pay a 3% fee. Ok so what’s the total? (Yes I had to ask twice) He says and I’m not joking “Something like $64”. What like he hadn’t already rung it up? Of course he had. TWO SECONDS LATER my phone dings with a charge for $72! Yeah that’s 12.8% more. I call and ask why he didn’t give me the actual total and why the massive increase, he berates me saying he told me to pay cash (he didn’t) and that he told me there were fees (9% more than he said). So NEVERMORE Crown Heights Pizza. No longer my most convenient order spot. Bad biz. Meh pizza.
Horrible customer experience today at 12:30p. Walked in with my wife to not get greeted or even acknowledged. The man behind the counter was reading a piece a paper, to which I gave ample time for him to see a new customer has walked in. Still with no acknowledgement, I proceeded to interrupt him and ask about a pie I saw behind the counter. He was very quick to respond rudely and say “It’s not ready I don’t want to cut the pizza now and serve soggy pizza.” He repeated “like I said, it’s not ready”, turned around and walked back to his oven. Not once making eye contact. Thanks, crown height pizza, for moving into the neighborhood and hiring (or who knows if he is an owner) garbage people to serve this community.
The pizza is so good, but the owner's service was very rude, he denied me the right to use the badthdroom for my 4- month pregnant wife. I will definitely not return becasuse of the rudeness of the owner of the place
One of the employees working when I went in last made my experience very uncomfortable. He was running the cash register as well as taking orders. He was extremely aggressive and rude to the delivery service workers bossing them around, insulting them and making racist remarks. The level of verbal harassment towards one man in particular was very hard to witness, the level of discomfort amongst both customers as well as fellow employees was palpable. Their pizza is great but when you see employees treat people like that it’s hard to justify supporting the business.
Eaten here several times and the food is never good, ranging from mediocre to actively bad. The pizza was stale, the sausage/pepper hero was full of fatty pieces and very sloppy, the sausage/onion roll was even worse. The chicken tenders were perfectly fine and the jalapeño poppers were good — but these are the types of items that anyone can buy at Costco and reheat. Also the prices are not affordable to justify such terrible quality food.
Pizza was well below average for the price, they had no regular slice and settled for vodka sauce which was sad, didn’t taste anything like vodka sauce. Crust was tasteless, definitely not pizza dough experts, can’t compare with say L’industry which is cheaper.
I have come to this place regularly, at least every couple of weeks, for the last 4 years. It had been my top pizza spot in the neighborhood until recent month, right around the time they expanded to the next-door. The quality went down so much and became so inconsistent that I don’t think I can return. My recent couple visits, pizza was bland, sauceless, doughy and floppy. Now it just tastes completely different from before. It is truly a shame.
If you’re craving overpriced cardboard with a sprinkle of disappointment, look no further this pizza place has perfected the art of charging luxury prices for middle school cafeteria quality slices, that are $4. Seriously, I’ve had better pizza at gas stations… in the Midwest. Now, I’ve kept my mouth shut about the sad excuse for a pie out of pure neighborhood respect. Why? Because the garlic knots are actually a culinary blessing golden, garlicky clouds that almost make you forget you’ve been bamboozled into buying a $5 triangle of despair. BUT this morning, my patience was tested. I was enjoying the public sidewalk (you know, the one paid for by taxes, not pepperoni), when suddenly a bald man with tick tack tattoos who I always hear before I see comes over telling me I can’t sit unless I order first. Now let’s be real I’ve lived here four years. Never not once have I seen him check a single man about sitting outside empty handed. Not the old guys playing chess, not the broke dudes vaping, nobody. Just me. And then he has the nerve to say, “Well, if you had asked…” Sir, this is not a VIP lounge. This is a sidewalk next to your pizza place. Anyway come here for garlic knots those are good but if you’re desperate for pizza or sit before ordering be prepared for random rules, double standards, and pizza that tastes like regret. You’ve been warned. ( the staff is amazing it’s literally just this payaso )
