coffee is amazing and the pastries are delicious 💕 friendly and kind baristas!!
Super friendly staff that serve good coffee quickly. Right beside the subway so great for caffeine for the commute. They make a very good breakfast, if you have the time, as well.
The coffee and bagels are amazing and always feel super fresh. Great vibe and an amazing staff. The butter croissant, baked in-house is my favorite in Crown-Heights
Stoped by to get a pumpkin spice latte and couldn’t resist the pastry’s and tried one AMAZING! ! ! they do have a big selection will be back for brunch
It’s such a delight to have my morning coffee from here everyday. Hospitable staff like Esma and Nalen, and the vibes of the place make it overall a grounding, self-reflective place for me.
Right off the Franklin 2,3,4,5 stop super convenient. Yes there’s a Dunkin, AND a Starbucks across the street, who cares, this place serves up La Colombe, hello? And the treats and snacks look good too. I had an Oatmilk Cortado yum.
Coffee is amazing! Service is excellent! And ambiance is friendly and neighborly! This is a great place to rest with your coffee and book after visiting the Brooklyn Museum :) Thank you!
My favorite brunch spot in Franklin Ave/Brooklyn ! Super delicious food selections ! My favorite ones are Lox Sandwich with smoked salmon, avocado and mustard with salad on the side and also you should try Avocado Toast for early mornings ! Very reasonable prices and friendly team! 👌🏼
Got an iced mocha from here the other day, really enjoyed it. The interior is simple and chill. Really close to the train station. Found it cuz I didn't want to go to Dunkin Donuts. So if you find yourself looking at the Dunkin on the corner, ignore it and walk like 38 steps south. Unless you want Dunkin's donuts. But then get the coffee from Coffee Land
It’s a nice, quiet and cozy spot to get work done. It is clean and the staff is nice. The coffee is not overpriced and it also taste good.
Had my first pumpkin latte here on 10/21/18. It was delicious. The service was first class. Great experience!
Excellent and kind service! The coffee and baked goods are delightful. Even after leaving the neighborhood, I try to get back there.
This place has been my everyday coffee stop for the past few months.. they have perfect coffee, Parsty, Hospitality, energy... you name it. I would highly recommend this place.
My favourite coffee in the neighborhood. Very tasty food and friendly service. Definitely I can recommend this new spot.
The best thing about Coffee Land is EVERYTHING. Great coffee, great bagels, super good food and cozy space. Loved this one!
I had the chance to have some coffee here and some breakfast. This place has to be the best spot in Crown Heights for coffee, food, and ambiance. Definitely the coffee spot to be at. The manager is a little “hands on” but my girls and I will be back! Tried the coffee next door a couple of times… just come here.
Excellent neighborhood coffee shop. I frequent this place very often due to the convenience and dependability. Prices are what you’d expect for NYC (not cheap), but they’re fast and tasty. They even have a garage door that opens with nice fresh air flowing in on a good day.
Awesome place! Delicious bagel's and great space to be with friends while enjoying some nice coffee. The staff was also very nice and smiles. I recommend it without a second thought!
Very hospitable and caring employees! The service was quick and excellent as well as high quality matcha.
I just love it, that place plays great jazzy french/Brazilian music, their chocolate cake is amazing and coffee is real... The food they provide is homemade with a delicate touch. Come try. People who work at that place are nice, always smiling to you and try to accommodate you even during rush time. Thank you, that's all I want to say.
I had a lovely experience here, all of the baristas were so attentive to my order. The food quality is always amazing NEVER a miss! I am so glad they opened another location that is even closer to my home. The draft lattes are to die for
Went here Sunday to get some studying done and got a chocolate muffin. Casual place with cute pillows, friendly manager. I was happy with both the muffin and the chai latte. Wifi is fast and easy to log onto. Also, I left a Mac charger behind when I visited. The store manager spotted it and held onto it until Wednesday, when I called and he told me I could pick it up. Great place!
You guys should make yourselves available on Uber eats again 💔
I love this place. Staff is incredibly nice and the tea selection is great. Also, it's dog friendly, yay! I love coming here for a cup of tea with my senior golden retriever. It's a wonderful addition to our neighborhood!! You guys rock!!
I cafe hop often but they have the best matcha latte ever :) the lady up front makes it so foamy and creamy.
This place is amazing. Sweetwaters in BK apparently closed, which is sad, so this is my go-to. In dozens of orders they've never forgotten anything. Many places often forget a side or drink or the actual food, but not CL. I plan to visit one day vs just delivery and hope the in-person service is just as great, but idk since as the saying goes "never meet your heroes" lol. And speaking of (s)heroes, shout out to whichever staffer takes the extra second to add a little heart or smiley on our name labels, making my day that much sweeter. Protect them at all costs!
Very cozy atmosphere and nice staff. Quiet and relaxing. Great spot to hang out for a friendly conversation, some reading or working. Great selection of pastries, bagels, coffee, tea and simple dishes. And (finally!) on the south side of Eastern Parkway :)
This is one of my favorite places in Crown Heights. You can get a perfectly made beverage (coffee or smoothie) for breakfast and delicious sandwiches for lunch. I have very specific dietary restrictions and they always get my orders right.
One of the best lunch location in the area, workers are very nice and they always keep a smile. Highly recommend for everyone to try it out.
The best coffee in NYC!! It’s the closest we have found to Australian coffee. Thanks to Sahran for making our coffee. The egg, cheese and bacon croissant was sooo tasty and the coffee cake was great.
Love Coffee Land! I like coming here when I need to clear my head for a bit. Comfy vibes and food is good. Love the workers there also! You guys are truly awesome. It’s just the little things.
This is THE BEST BAGEL IN THE AREA, and dare I say… one of the best I’ve had in the city! I’m serious. The people who work there are so friendly, such great service and such a great bagel. Also great muffins too. I highly reccommend!
Stopped by Coffee Land recently and really enjoyed it. The vibe is chill and cozy — perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. I had a Americano La Colombe Coffee, Nizza, and it was delicious. The coffee was smooth and strong, just how I like it. Service was friendly and fast, and the prices were fair. Definitely a spot l'd come back to. Worth a visit if you're in the area!
Excellent coffee shop and wonderful space to just sit, do some work, or read a book. Staff is superbly friendly and my drinks come out great every time. Haven’t tried the food yet but one day I will, always looks fresh and really tasty!
If you’re someone who cares about the difference between an iced cappuccino and an iced latte this is the place for you. Everyone is also so lovely and there is a ton of natural light :)
This is a great place. Friendly atmosphere. They remember your drinks. Clean bathroom ..but buy something. These folks are working hard and somebody has to keep that bathroom clean The Buddha sandwich is a vegetarian dream come true Tip nice because the staff is awesome
What a lovely little coffee shop with an amazing selection of bagels and pleasant staff. Highly recommend...
I LOVE this place. I get the pistachio cardamom cake like every other day it’s so good. The staff is very kind ❤️ great vibes all around
Am not a coffee person but loves a Chai latte. I've been to this Lil coffee shop for the third time and loves it here. The Barista was so sweet and friendly, the muffins are so good. I'm definitely coming back.
Exceptional coffee shop. All the stores have a pleasant atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and wonderful coffee. The hot chocolate is second to none. Congratulations!
I just noticed a previous review, and felt the need to say something. It’s pretty sad because I haven’t experienced anything like this at this location as a proud Afro Latina. In fact, I find a connection with each person behind the counter. I find pride in the diversity I see when I walk into the location, and behind the counter. My hope is that we can all be more compassionate towards one another.
Such a friendly coffee shop with the best baristas. Definitely a great spot to chill and the drinks are delicious.
Excellent atmosphere, delicious coffee, and outstanding baristas! In addition to general coffee drinks, they also provide cold brew and oat draft latte. A coffee shop can’t get any better than this…
This place has the best baristas, family-friendly when I’ve come in with my toddler, tons of indoor and outdoor seating and fast service. The “blue cookie” birthday cake macaroon is a highlight but their matcha, lattes, cinnamon rolls and other small treats are all delicious. I appreciate that laptops are restricted at some hours so we always have a place to sit and it keeps the vibe pleasant. Favorite coffee shop in the area!
I lived in crown heights for 3 years and this was my favorite coffee shop. The staff is always really friendly, it’s never too loud, and they have lots of great food and drink options. The bagel sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, and pistachio cardamom cake are my faves. The iced chai is my drink of choice but their other lattes and matcha are excellent too. Now that I’ve moved, I’m still close enough to run a few errands once or twice a month in the area and I always use that as an excuse to stop by here when I can :)
one of the best coffee i had in Brooklyn, also a day i had bagels it was very good too, very warm and Cousy place.
I love this coffee shop! We go here multiple times a week and everyone is so friendly. The draft coffee is fantastic (I recommend asking for light ice or no ice). Bagels are great — just make sure to ask for them lightly toasted bagels (sometimes they toast them too much). The everything bagel with the scallion cream cheese is my favorite! And I love the pistachio pastry.
I ran in to grab a coffee and croissant both were wonderful! I must admit though, their coffee is really good and made with love. The customer service was also spectacular, they have a variety of flavors to add into your coffee. I did grab an iced coffee with hazelnut, I think next time I’ll try their lavender. Check them out and enjoy!
This coffee shop has a charming vibe with beautiful plants, intimate seating, offering small cozy corners perfect for a quiet escape. The coffee is consistently great, and the cookies are a tasty treat to go along with it. It’s definitely a popular spot, so be prepared for a line, but it’s worth the wait. They have super friendly and lovely staff which is great to start the day Overall, a lovely, cozy place to relax and enjoy a quality cup of coffee.
Coffee Land should definitely be a stop on your day in Brooklyn if you’re looking for delicious coffee, tasty vittles, and super friendly baristas all enclosed, in a warm, welcoming environment! Brooklyn was chilly and gray the day we visited, but the sunny smiles of the barista’s at Coffee Land immediately brightened our day. Our barista served up a delicious latte with oat milk, with dreamy foam, and a peppermint mocha that my girlfriend LOVED…in decaf!! Seating is spacious and comfortable and it was easy to avoid any draft at the door. We shared a slice if their tasty coffee cake, and a brief respite from the chill. This will be a new regular stop on our Brooklyn days!!
This is a lovely little unpretentious spot. When you walk in you are met with an enthusiastic hello and useful follow up questions for your order. They offer free Wi-Fi and the food was well prepared. I got a matcha tea latte and the veggie omelette. Prices are between $5 (bagel and cream cheese) and $14 (Lox bagel sandwich). Smoothies are $10. Also not mad at the Jagged Edge and Beyoncé that they were playing while I was there. 😊
Great coffeeshop plus cafe. Coffee was served in these large cups. Food was surprisingly good. Definitely recommend the grilled chicken sandwich! Flavorful combination of chicken, pesto, tomatoes and melted cheese on crispy bread. The bread was also surprisingly flavorful. Great place to spend a short or extended amount of time in. Outlets available for laptop work.
Very good Espresso Macchiato. Nice roomy interior Good music The place is very finely decorate in pale shades of green with a wall painting, a lot of light and a beautiful retro looking espresso machine. The espresso macchiato is perfectly prepared with a creamy deep tasting strong espresso and a dash of milk foam. The audio system distillates good lounge vibes too. A nice place to chill out, work, discuss.
Met someone here for a meeting over coffee and was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere, coffee and food choices. Really good alternative to the Starbucks on other side of Eastern Parkway (and better value for your money)
Good coffee, matcha, and good pastries.
First time visiting Coffee Land. Ordered a large coffee and asked for almond milk and sugar on the side. I was charged 50 cents more for almond milk. Makes no sense to me. Its a nice, clean and calm vibe. But, 50 cents extra for almond milk is a deal breaker for me. I've inquired to other coffee shops in the immediate area and so far no one charges extra for almond milk....
This place would receive 5 stars because it's great and the people are nice, but every time I go there, the air isn't on or working, so it's very hot and sticky. And the workers are sweating and very clearly hot and tired. So that could be a big problem in high temps. BUT the food is great, especially the cheese omelet, and the coffee is great as well!
The first time I stopped into this coffee shop I realized it was a small location that you can sit and enjoy a brief meet up or grab some coffee to go. I was not happy with my first interaction with the employee's at this shop. However I did give them the benefit of the doubt and tried going back to this location several times. The Tiramisu cake is what I generally purchase on my visits there because I love having it with my coffee. I have tried their food but it was not something that they carried directly on the menu. My regular purchase is usually a large Iced Latte and a slice of tiramisu. I Usually get my order to stay, some days they would walk it to my seating area other days I would have to walk to the counter to pick it up. This confused me to a high velocity because if I order my food to stay your job is to bring it to my seating area. However that was not always the case which did disturb me some. The other issue I did have was the flies that were constantly in the back seating area of the restaurant. When I go somewhere I like to feel a sense of being welcomed and I did not always feel that when I entered this establishment. That plays a huge part in customer service and returning customers to a business. One of the days I did visit this particular establishment I ordered a drink that they have on their menu. It is called a golden latte, this drink was presented to me hot and I did order it cold. When you order it cold it is not appeasing at all. The lady that made the drink seemed confused when I first ordered my drink because she did make the drink hot, I was confused as well because I ordered a cold drink. She looked as if she wanted to say something but she did not. The lady that took my order did not tell her that I wanted my drink cold. After having this latte and being dissatisfied with my purchase I went back to the counter to ask the lady was that specific drink meant to be cold hot and she said yes. My sentiments were if it was meant to be sold hot you could have given me an indicator and I would not have wasted my time energy and money purchasing this item. After that purchase I ended up throwing the latte in the garbage to purchase the original latte that I purchased previously. If you have a customer purchasing something for the first time giving them advisement on the drink they are purchasing if they have never had the drink before would be the ideal way. However that knowledge and information was never divulged to me which brought me to a different tone and temperament on this location. There were a few issues that brought me to this review that I am posting. I do not write reviews based on one visit my reviews are written based on numerous visit to a location unless the first visit was super unpleasant. There were just too many issues that kept taking place each time I was in this establishment.
A cool spot to come for lunch with your coworkers or even a lunch date.... This place is just a quick service and AC away from a five star rating. Unfortunately when I went there they were three people waiting and I had ordered her a smoothie there was only one guy at the counter. Took my smoothie about 10 to 15 minutes come out. They have a lot of things on the menu I will deathly try the coffee one time. The setting is really cool but it was just really hot and the ACs were not on. That is why I had to get the smoothie and not the coffee.
The bagels are great but the coffee tastes old or is burnt. Would love if they got rid of the plastic plants and incorporate real and hardy, inexpensive plants like evergreens.
The two sandwiches took like 30 minutes when it was empty inside, and they didn’t even acknowledge that it took so long. The food was pretty good though.
Great space to sit and work in, but I didn't enjoy their sandwiches and found their drinks to be a little underwhelming. But maybe that's just me.
The espresso and matcha drinks are not good. Don’t be fooled by La Colombe branding, there’s not one good coffee here. Owner and staff lack coffee knowledge and experience. The espresso pull is very very weak, maybe they need to tune their espresso machine. Always order an extra shot or 2 or 3 if you want to taste any coffee, but then it just tastes wrong in the end. Nobody here knows how to make the real stuff. The food is good, but inconsistent. Sorry guys.
It's a cute coffee shop. Customer service isn't the greatest. I've been going to this coffee shop on a bi-weekly basis for almost a year, and it does not feel welcoming. They have a points system on drinks that I discovered on my own. I will not be returning because of an interaction with a staff this morning. This is not a way I would like to start my morning. My bagel was also burnt. Otherwise the coffee and lox Bagels are great.
Pretty quiet for the most part. Not a lot of outlets and when asked about it, there wasn’t a solution. Many people come here for the convenience of doing work so a lack of outlets will cause inefficiency. Please fix. Thanks.
This location is convenient, but it’s not a great place to get work done. It’s either hot and stuffy or freezing cold, the seats are hard and uncomfortable, and the music is usually loud. The bagels and other baked goods are dry. I do appreciate the friendliness of the staff and how quickly you can grab a coffee.
I had an unpleasant encounter with a lady in the front, who makes drinks. In my order , I asked for a croissant. I stated' I'm not sure if you all put butter on it ( meaning I'm not sure if they'd put it on for me) if not I'll take it on the side" The lady making the drinks states, we put tons of butter...that's why is called a butter croissant...in a very condescending and rude tone. As the customer, I shouldn't be made to feel like I'm wrong for asking for what I want, along with attitude. I ended up asking for the butter on the side...I'm very disappointed in the service, and I felt very unsettled by her response.
Let me start with the positives: Their espresso is good - the lattes I order are consistent and never too bitter. This place also has GREAT bagels. I'm not sure where they source them from, but they're large, fluffy, and well baked. The service staff is always friendly and you can tell they hustle, work hard, and care about their customers -- although there's usually always a wait time for food. They are also (maybe unofficially?) a dog friendly establishment. Now for the negatives: Regular coffee is meh. I switched up my usual latte order to an iced coffee once, hoping to spend less $$, and won't do it again -- ended up tossing the coffee and ordering a latte anyway :/. And that brings me to my biggest negative...it feels overpriced. I got a small iced latte and an acai bowl and they charged me 19 dollars?!?! And when I got home, what I saw GREATLY disappointed me (disclaimer I walked for about 15 more minutes before getting back to my apartment). There was hardly any acai, it was basically liquid, and it was also terribly sweet. So my takeaway: it's a great place to go on the weekends for a "special treat" coffee and a simple snack (such as a pastry or bagel), but the food doesn't feel worth the price, and it won't be somewhere that I can visit for my daily cup of coffee.
They pull the draft late straight into the center of the cup, creating a concoction more foam than drink. They need to pull them the same way as draft beer. Tilt the cup, hold it close to the tap, and pull it into the side of the cup. The woman there was nice though.
I never leave reviews but i just had a really frustrating experience at this Coffee Land. I was told that I couldn’t use the bathroom because “the bathroom is closed” as I was leaving. They were closing soon but had not closed yet - people were still coming in. I worked out of there for a while and drank coffee, I wasn’t just popping in. To make it worse there are no other bathrooms in the area.
While I appreciate a nice new coffee shop in the neighborhood, I don't appreciate when a barista straight up coughs into his open hand before handling and handing me my coffee. I wasn't about to make a scene during a busy brunch weekend, but needless to say, I didn't drink that coffee. Even if there wasn't a pandemic, like...come on, dude. The sink is right there. Wash your hands if you're going to stifle a cough.
I enjoyed the food and coffee. I would have given this establishment 5 stars, there is one problem. A young lady with glasses who works in the cooking section is not very nice. She brings out food out and throws the utensils down and when we finished we were being kind by returning the plates. She was very annoyed and presented an unpleasant attitude.
Customer service is trash…Unless you’re white. I must’ve been a ghost because the bimbo behind the counter looked right thru me as I greeted her to pick up my take out order. No acknowledgment whatsoever. I stood there about a minute and in comes a white and wow, it speaks! I ordered 2 açaí bowls, 2 bagel varieties and all of it was mid, considering the price. Even less worth it, considering the stifling atmosphere and attitudes. There’s another location, better vibes and energy. If you MUST, GO THERE! 😉
My seamless driver called and asked me to cancel the order because he had been waiting 25 minutes after they marked it ready to pick up. When I called to ask what was going on they said they didn't have any orders from me. At that point she asked me to hold, let the phone sit on the counter for a few minutes and then hung up on me. Even if the food is amazing the service is rude and I would never go there or order from there again.
LIARS. The barista here, probably operating on company policy, opted to tell me that they don't have a wifi password for guests when I know for a fact this is incorrect from friends. I missed an important emergency zoom meeting because of this employee. Passable coffee at best. Do not go here.
Zero stars if I could. I waited 35 minutes for an omelette and toast. It was not at all busy. Got home and opened the bag to find an ice cold omelette with half of its ingredients and no toast. Their coffee is also all ice and incredibly overpriced. A waste of money. Hopefully this business will not last long.
If you are only getting coffee from this place, then it's fine but getting food from here is a mistake. The first time I went I ordered egg and cheese bagel, nothing too crazy, and they took a very long time to make it. It seemed liked employees needed another person because they looked like chickens with their heads cut off trying to tend to customers. I feel delivery people waited even longer than me. On top of that, they managed to burn my bagel. It wasn't like it was really toasted, no, they burnt big chunks of the bagel. I decided to give them another chance a few weeks after that, the place was pretty much empty and they had different staff so I felt better about getting food there. I ordered a cream cheese bagel, again nothing too crazy, and I wish I would have taken a picture because the amount of cream cheese they put on the bagel was almost non-existent. It seemed like they only put a layer, not a very thick one, on one half of the bagel and then place the other half on top of it. I would have been okay with it if the CC bagel was cheap, but of course it wasn't. If you are looking for food, I'd say skip this place.
If I could give this store O stars, I would. First of all, the coffee is subpar at best & The guy with the ponytail is not pleasant. This place has been open for almost 4 months and has had a high staff turnover. Management issues??? Red flag, i get used to certain baristas and this place seems like a revolving door for employees. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. There are plenty of other coffee shops to go to that doesn’t keep changing their employees. New people don’t know how to make my almond latte correct, way too foamy.
The white guy working there was anything but friendly, walked in & saw him counting the register so i was patiently waited, but when i was ordering he acted like i was inconveniencing him. Ordered an iced matcha latte, entire cup was ice and he made the matcha in the sink?? i would’ve let it go if it was good but the matcha tasted terrible.
There are SO. MANY. FLIES. All the time. I'm sorry but it's so gross >.< Food is delicious if not overpriced. Dont get iced espresso drinks unless you like the taste of ice-shocked espresso.
