Super chill. Coffee was so good. Pleasant people here as well!
I have been buying my coffee at D'Amico for over 5 years now, used them when I lived in Brooklyn Height, now I am stationed in Korea with the DOD and the great thing is they ship to my APO address, now I can continue to get my fix of French Roast Costa Rican even while I am in Korea, highly recommend this place, the coffee is fresh and the service is excellent and Frank makes sure the order is processed fast
Closest thing you're gonna find to Original Brooklyn without a time machine. Go here and be friendly. Talk to the old Italian guys that have been coming here for decades and show some respect. These places are going away too fast.
Moved away but still come back to get their beans. The coffee is incredible here. I'm very addicted to the Red Hook blend!
Great Breakfast and coffee.
i only got beans to go, but the guy working was super helpful, the beans are DELICIOUS (esp the costa rica), and the price was great.
This is a great place to sit and get some work done. The food and coffee is all very reasonably priced. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Neighborhood classic. You can find a roast to please any palate here. Beans are moderately priced, not too far in either extreme.
Love the vibes and atmosphere! The coffee is fresh and the quality is very good
Love this low key neighborhood spot. I used to buy my coffee beans at Puerto Rico but this is my go-to now. They have great kona beans at a reasonable price, and the people who work here have always been attentive.
I couldn't love this place any more. It's a Brooklyn Institution, around since 1948, and I hope it never falls prey to gentrification. I wish more people would just walk the 0.4 of a mile from the Starbucks at Bergen and come to this gem instead. The coffee here is light years better, and it's a local business, not a bland corporate chain. Support a Brooklyn original. Support Mom & Pop. Buy beans here. Enjoy a cuppa. Eat some breakfast. I can't recommend this shop enough.
I love making my own coffee: picking light, medium, dark, decaf, or flavoured, adding just the right amount of half n half, a little sprinkle of chocolate powder, and the size that I feel like. Get to do all that here with locally roasted (so very freshly roasted) beans. SUPERB!
This is the best spot in Brooklyn to get your coffee ☕️ 😋 Lots of flavors to pick from as well. This little gem has been in the same family 👪 3 Generations . Try it you won't be disappointed.
Best coffee❤️friendly and nice place☕️
I've been going here for years. Super coffee in self serve urns so you don't have to wait for staff to prepare a simple coffee. Staff treats everyone like family, which is welcoming most of the time, but could warrant a 4.5 rating with a ding for how casual they can be about taking and delivering your order. Patience required. Salads are interesting, tasty, and generous, as are the egg dishes. They've just remodeled to get rid of the awkward high table/low bench situation and put in two laptop counters with stools. A bunch of low tables remain with IKEA chairs that they tell me came out of storage. Hopefully this new seating will alleviate some weekend crowding at brunch time.
I found out about this place from trying their coffee at a nearby restaurant. The dark roast is so flavorful. I’ve bought in store a few times and order online now. Fair prices and none of the other roasters I try compare to this place. The dark roast is so good when you have it fresh. Highly recommend
Old neighborhood coffee shop serving and selling fresh coffee roasted on premises. I had an excellent, tasty espresso made with care even in the small details like pouring on a hot cup and even heating the spoon provided. I do not come often to this neighborhood, but will definetly visit again whenever I am nearby.
My absolute favorite coffee. And a great spot for breakfast or lunch.
Had a delicious espresso. Arguably the best in Brooklyn. No lines. Biked by the Starbucks not to far from there and a dozen or more folks were queued waiting to purchase some so-so café. Come on people support your local cafés!
LET ME RAVE ABOUT THIS PLACE! Look no further for your coffee friends, literally fresh, will wake you up and GREAT selection. varies from light roast, medium and of course dark. make it yourself or can be made for you. can definitely chill there and have your coffee or even take it to go with. I love it here! *Their columbian is my fav but their Hazelnut is my coworkers💛
I have been ordering their coffe for years ( I libe in NJ). Tried several different roast and all are good, but found Harar Mocha to be my favourite, but lately me and my wife have been enjoying their Kona roast.
Great place! Nice mom and pop store. Been going to this place for years Vienna and chino lite roast are my go to. Places like this are slowly fading away. Grab a cup or a bag of beans and enjoy.
Amazing coffee! The friendly neighborhood coffee shop with locals coming and going it gives a newbie a feeling their in the right place! I highly recommend it.
This coffee shop always make me feel like family when I walk in the door...lots of smiling faces..coffee smells amazing..and the owner I love her lavender hair. She is a sweetheart
The lure of freshly roasted and brewed coffee are an enticement for those in love with the brown bean! No disappointment here and no bored barista either. This is the real deal--see for yourself.
Best coffee i ever had. I got the same coffee at keyfood didn't look or taste the same. DAmico was darker and fresh. You have to try it. You will not get your coffee anywhere else.
No frills Cafe with fresh roasted and freshly ground beans, and friendly service. $3 double Espresso 8/10 It is robust, dark, smooth, and toasty. It tastes fresh and can pair well with milk. There is a full menu of espresso drinks like lattes etc but check with them to make sure they can do the steamed milk. If not, get your espresso and mix regular milk for the next best thing They are ready when they open and service is quick.
Good coffee, good amount of selection and fairly priced. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend if in the area!
Best coffee that I've had in NYC at D'Amico Coffee in Brooklyn. Dozens of choices. Got hazelnut iced coffee today. They give you the cup with however much ice you want and you can fill up on your own. Plenty of ingredients that you can put in there like sugar water, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. Buy local! They've been in business nearly a century with the original family owners.
Nice Italian deli. Really authentic feel. The sausage egg and cheese roll is very good.
The doppio was perfect. Very old school vibe, which is awesome in this world of corporate coffee shops.

Even though parking can be difficult here, the freshly ground white christmas coffee to take home is my fav and it's delicious! They have many other coffee flavor options as well. I purchase a 2lb bag which was about $40. Absolutely worth the trip. There is seating available, however, there are only about 5 small tables.
This is the best generic cup of coffee you will have. I came here on my visit out of state and went here twice as opposed to other fancy shops just to get their White Christmas blend, which is excellent. I took home a pound of beans, which they ground for me. Service was so nice and kind. 10/10 experience.
Mario was fantastic to me and my wife he was patient and answered all our questions. This establishment is from the 40’s and is a classic NY institution if you like coffee or if you’re a global person who likes mom and pop quality you can’t just buy or mass produce. The prices are affordable and the staff was wonderful.
I love this place! I travel from Jersey to get their coffee. My favorite is their White Christmas, available year-round!
Best coffee and value in Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens. Incredibly friendly staff and absolutely a neighborhood throw back… and no judgement for your milk preference or wanting a hazelnut blend. They roast everything in the back of the shop and supply many restaurants throughout Brooklyn. A+++
Their espresso beans are really delicious
Love this mom and pop coffee shop in Carroll Gardens. They have freshly roasted coffee beans which at a reasonable price.
They sent my dad a complimentary replacement bag when he accidentally ordered decaf through their website. Fab service and the coffee is always so good, name bias aside :) Thanks D'Amico Coffee! We're two loyal customers!
This place is a true coffeehouse. Relaxing. Good muffins, cookies and damn delicious coffee. Bought two bags to take home with me! I had a latte which was strong yet smooth just how it should be. The gentleman who welcomed us in was very helpful and he knows his sh!t. I learned more about coffee today than I have in the past 5 years.
If you are the type of person who professes to care about coffee at all, abd want freshly roasted coffee beans there is no better place to go in all of South Brooklyn. Third wave coffee shops have NOTHING on D'Amico's and you're a chump if you think that a coffee chain from Seattle sells better beans. Support this legacy old school local business.

I love the way this place smells -- and watching coffee beans roasting in the window is always cool. Prices are fair and they have a wide variety of options from light roasts to dark ones.
One whiff is all it takes to be hooked on their amazing home-roasted coffee – try the Dark House Blend. Get a gift basket for your next housewarming party!
Good service, friendly and fast. They have chairs and tables inside and maximum is 1 hour for sitting.

It was a very nice experience stopping In. Got two double espressos. The espresso was very nice, bold and strong. LOVE the atmosphere here. The service was nice as well! Only giving 4 Stars because I didn't see any vegan fare here, to be completely fair though I didn't specifically ask for anything. Not good for large groups but I noticed a few stools and tables that could probably accommodate a 2 or 3 people each.

They have a pretty good selection, their coffee is good. But they take 15+ minutes to make almost any food item, so I can never finish my food on my lunch break. Nice people though!

Make sure the cashier repeats your order back to you!!! Also,, be sure to tell them NO SALT, if you don't want it,,, they add salt to your sandwich! Hot Roast Beef was cold, cheese not melted!!
After going to D'Amico in the past and enjoying their coffee and hospitality, I'm incredibly disappointed to hear they are protesting the Court Street bike lane. I will not return to the business until they stop their opposition to a project that has already been completed, has extensive evidence supporting it, and is keeping our neighborhood safe

Excellent Coffee but recently I bought a pound of coffee for their price $13.50 and the employee after weighing the coffee took a lot of the beans out.I told him it feels too light and he said its ok.I weighted it on a scale at home and it was way off .I wont be going back there.
Disappointed at Customer Service which was pretty much non-existent. I had a problem with my order which I inquired via their website and received no response, and was never resolved. Still, I received their beans and it was just OK, nothing extraordinary. Maybe acceptable for locals but not for coffee connoisseurs. The beans did not even have a roast date on them.
