I LOOOOVE this place. I ordered almost every weekend via Seamless breakfast coffee and snacks from them. Good and natural food especially sandwiches. Great coffee. Reasonably priced. I finally visited in person and the place is very stylish comfortable and located in the best area of greenpoint.
Amazing food, coffee and service. The best place to get a breakfast burrito or a classic chicken pesto. Sam and team are the best in the area! Bravo
Eagle Trading has been one of my neighborhood favorite spots for almost 10 years. Everyone is nice and the food is always dependably good (love the breakfast sandwiches, lunch salads, and iced teas).
Decent breakfast eats and coffee. They often have really nice baked goods by the front counter. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Can we please talk about the crispy bacon burrito that I’m still thinking about 12 hours later?! Absolutely delicious!! Would’ve taken a pic but devoured too quickly. Not to mention their simple drip coffee is the best I’ve ever tasted.
Always solid. Fav’s include meatball sub, pear and Gorgonzola salad, chicken parm. The tomato soup is excellent, it comes w these delicious croutons on the side. I sometimes get the soup w tater tots on the side. The staff has been there forever, which seems to be a testament to a decent employer. Neighborhood staple. Excellent.
This place has been around for years and is a great choice for breakfast or lunch. Everything I’ve had on the menu is good. They have a ton of food options, but I prefer other nearby cafes if I’m only getting coffee.
Didn’t try their food but the coffee was good. There wasn’t long wait for it and cashier was polite and nice. Definitely recommending if you’re in the neighborhood to stop by for a coffee.
Lovely spot to sit, work or people watch. My tumeric latte was very nice, frothy and creamy. I did not have any food but lots of people ordered things and really seemed to enjoy it. Plenty of seating and space. Could not find any outlets for my laptop but that was the only issue I had.
What you want from a neighborhood coffee shop, ETC delivers: friendly service, reliably good food, great coffee, and a relaxed vibe. The owner Sam is lovely, as are all the folks that work there. This place feels like a real part of the community, and it is welcoming to everyone who lives and works here rather than catering only to some.
Love this place. I could annihilate myself on bacon egg and cheddar sandwiches and avocado toast. Only flaw is lack of a good orange juice. I love the bread and the seating is awesome. When the open up the front on a nice day I am in ETC heaven. If I could move this place to my 'hood my life would be complete.
Ordered a yummy delicious “Breakfast Bowl”🍲just because a yogini Yoga practitioner was having it. Great corner location with indoor sittings, outdoor tables, comfy chairs and few wooden benches, friendly staffs and everyone else seems ultra relax. Can’t wait to come back again for the coffee and what else Eagle Trading Coffee house has to offer.
One of my regular lunch spots. Can't beat the chipotle wrap, AND they have great tater tots! There's plenty of seating, including nice outside seating in the warmer months.
You cannot beat the price for quality. It’s simply unmatched. I almost eat out exclusively, and can’t believe I didn’t find this neighborhood gem sooner. I can’t recommend enough and I hope they have booming business that allows them to keep their price’s affordable for the masses. They have my full support!!!
Friendly service and a cool atmosphere. Great selection on the menu and nice seating outside. I had an omelette and it was quite good and a solid portion. All in all a good experience and would happily go back.
Great place with a lot of options. Staff is friendly and good at what they do. The owner, Sam, is a really nice guy and a good member of the Eagle Street community up here in in Northern Greenpoint. Their food is consistently good and very fair priced!
Amazing - friendly and very reasonably priced breakfast and lunch cafe. Food lovely, and great menu. So good in fact that in New York for 4 days and came for breakfast 4 days!!
I've been here at least 100 times and never been disappointed. Fast and efficient without sacrificing any quality on the sandwiches, coffee, salads. Greenpoint could use more like this place. One of the few options in west half of Gnpt that is better than a bodega but isn't pretentious and over-priced. Wish they were open after 5!
Sam and the Eagle trading team are pillars of our community. For 11 years they have been making our breakfast and lunch, keeping us caffeinated and keeping it real… best deal in greenpoint! Some of our family’s favorites - Greek wrap, bacon egg and cheese (extra bacon) is a classic, breakfast burrito, chilli. Thanks guys.
Amazing food and service! Lovely place. We visited this place about 4 times while we were enjoying New York. I wish I can come back and taste again these amazing bagels!
I had heard so many good things about that place that I had to try it. I am totally addicted now and can’t stop ordering from them! The food is fresh and taste amazing, the recipes are simple but efficient and the staff is super cool.
The tomato soup here is amazing! Great bowls too. Overall 10/10
I come to this spot all the time. All the sandwiches are amazing I haven't had one that I didn't like. If you like tuna I suggest trying their wasabi tuna melt ... I love their mocha and the customer service is on point.
Quick and hot, and delicious. I got the Eagle breakfast burrito and my husband got the chorizo breakfast burrito, both were amazing! Also, we ordered to go, and waited outside, and they brought our bag out to us as soon as it was done. Highly recommend.
I eat here almost daily. The coffee is good. The salads are good. The sandwiches are good. The breakfast bowl is a great healthy and varied meal. The staff is friendly. The space is pleasant. Order my secret menu item, “The Nick Lunch Face.” It’s two hardboiled eggs, half an avocado, a bed of spinach leaves and tater tots for ten dollars. I made it up and ordered it so often they made it a secret menu item.
One of the best coffee shops I’ve found in Brooklyn. Great breakfast burrito and coffee. Usually you can find a spot to sit. I want to thank the manager for being so kind to refill my coffee after I accidentally dropped it! My only wish is that they opened and closed an hour earlier/later! Usually it’s 9-3.
I started going there simply because I was working a few doors down, the food is top notch, fresh and top quality ingredients, i live 40 minutes away on Long Island and I often take the ride just for lunch with pleasure. The owner is probably the most genial person I’ve ever met, I’ve never had the slightest complaint, My favorite place by far
Love this place! I order lunch from them at two or three times a month. My favorite is their vegetarian chili, it's delicious. I also really like their bbq chicken wrap. Their tomato soup and grilled cheese is phenominal if you ever have a craving for it.
New York‘s best „go to“ comfort food and easy going feel good cafe & brunch place. Perfect coffee, beverages and highest food quality. Delicious everything. Tasteful, classy music. Perfect place. Highly recommended.
Incredible wraps! Friendly service. Great vibe to dine in
I’ve been ordering from Eagle for about a decade. I’ve spent thousands of dollars here. Out of hundreds of orders they’ve made made 3 mistakes in which the owner and staff immediately fixed. The delivery bikers are super nice too.
We got the lox, egg, and cheddar breakfast sandwich and the crispy bacon & egg breakfast burrito. Also got a flat white with almond milk (they didn’t have oat milk) and a cold brew. We are outside since the weather is great. There are 3 tables outside and about 6-8 table inside plus counter seats along the windows. They open led up the windows with the nice weather. Service was quick & efficient. They brought our food to us outside after we got or coffees. Dogs are welcome outside with a water bowl.
Great coffee! I am visiting Brooklyn and sometimes have trouble finding good coffee during my travels. But this place did not disappoint :)
Great coffee and breakfast foods. Plenty of vegan options, but I do wish they had a vegan pastry. Really close to the water, and plenty of outdoor seating.
I love this place!!! Coffee and a giant sandwich for $10. I forgot how big US proportions are, it makes me happy. The coffee wasn't tiny either. Food and service is fantastic. I also love the communal tables. I could study or do nothing here, nobody will bother me. It's a laid-back vibe. This cafe takes in a lot of beautiful sunshine, it's the best place to be during cloudless weather.
Most down to earth coffee shop in the area. The owner/manager(?) is great and it’s reflected in how kind and courteous the staff is. They have great prices for this area and for the quality of the ingredients, not to mention such a variety of options! I have yet to try something I didn’t like. My only wish was that they were open earlier so I could stop by before work🙏
Actually good breakfast burritos? I'm not pulling your leg. Five stars for that alone. Sandwiches are also great and the coffee is solid. I'm told the tomato soup is excellent, which, for tomato soup to be part of the conversation at all means it must be pretty amazing.
Very laid back and casual lunch spot for hearty sandwiches and salads. Got the salmon Caesar wrap and the salmon was nicely crispy and still juicy (and they didn't skimp on the salmon - plenty of it throughout the wrap). Very filling. Dog friendly!
Food was great! Lots of options. Garage door walls were open so we could enjoy the great weather.
The food and coffee here is so good and consistent. It took me a long time to try it because the menu seems simple but the food is really well made. My parents’ taste preferences are completely different from mine but they love it too. The people that work here are pleasant and do a great job and the prices are fair as well.
Had a fantastic Midwest chicken wrap - full of color and veg, the side of coleslaw was excellent too. Fruit bowl was huge. Really chilled atmosphere, well priced and generally very tasty - will be coming back!
Great neighborhood cafe! The staff is pleasant, and the atmosphere is comfortable. I love their breakfast sandwiches served on baguette from Balthazar. During nice weather, they open up the front windows and have outdoor seating.
$$$ THIS IS A NO CASH BUSINESS $$$ Coffee coffee here is phenomenal! Expensive but really good food. Everything they use there is a quality product They are what you would call a successful business they’ve been around for as long as I’ve been working in Greenpoint about 10 years. They’ve changed the menu quite a bit from the last time I was here.
This has become our go-to spot for a quick and chilled breakfast/lunch. The servers are always friendly here. The menu is varied and they're very accommodating with alterations too. The coffee is also pretty good! There are 6 or so outside tables down Eagle and quite a few seats inside. Don't miss the Girl Scout stand that pops up outside every now and again!
A wonderful welcome at this cosy cafe in the green point. A great place to enjoy a bite to eat and a coffee. The owner greeted us like long lost friends. The whole staff couldn’t be friendlier and they seem to know everyone. I watched the owner greet passers by who he had genuine time for. This place is obviously a key part of the local community. I just wish we lived closer so that we could visit more often. The food was delicious. The next time we are in New York we will make it a priority to stop by again.
This place is great for families with kids in tow. The space is large, it’s served canteen style where you order and sit wherever but they will bring you the meal. The food is always good here no matter what you pick. Iced mochas were our thing for a while here. Philly cheese steak, buffalo chicken wrap, the kale Caesar is delish
Favorite iced coffee in the neighborhood. 1 pump of vanilla, 1 pump of coconut...it's lit. Also, don't sleep on their chorizo burrito. Staff is always pleasant. Huge fan
10/10 for food, coffee, and customer experience! Sam and his crew run a very relaxed and welcoming spot. Indoor and outdoor seating. WiFi. Easy conversation. Cater to special dietary needs with care and attention — always have gluten-free bread! Sam, the owner and a friendly British guy, has curated a breakfast/lunch menu that has something for all tastes and requirements — the food is consistently top quality! Thank you to Sam and crew (shout-out to Brianna and Fran!)
Great food and employees work here. Always very accomdating and go above & beyond to make sure i have a positive experience. I ordered food once and it was delayed and they remade my order so it wouldnt be cold and the manager delivered it with a free coke! Thank you eagle trading. truly a staple of the greenpoint community!
I don’t know how I haven’t posted a review here yet considering I come here every other weekend. The staff here is great, super friendly and the foods great too. I really enjoy their bagels and their sandwiches. When I’m not feeling well I can always count on their chicken noodle soup and orange juice, freshly squeezed in the morning. Truly such a Greenpoint staple. Highly recommend this spot for breakfast and lunch!
Incredible sandwiches. I also loved the eagle cam shown on the tv.
I’ve lived in Greenpoint for two years and can’t believe I hadn’t tried this place until now. This place knows how to make a proper breakfast burrito. The coffee was great and so is the vibe of the place. I’ll definitely be back.
Eagle Trading Co is the best coffee shop in the area. Their food menu is diverse and phenomenal (their breakfast sandwiches are to die for), and their coffee is consistent - I always know my vanilla latte is going taste just as perfect as last time. But what truly sets them apart is how wonderful their staff are. Every single person is so kind and welcoming in a way that you can feel is truly genuine. For example, I always buy my beans for my at home coffee from them. Today when I went to buy them, they told me there was a delay and they wouldn’t get more in until next week. Unprompted, they offered to fill a to go coffee cup with the beans they use in the shop to tide me over, on the house. It was such a thoughtful gesture that it truly made my day. That level of care and generosity is exactly why I love supporting this coffee shop.
Eagle Trading Company in Greenpoint is such a great spot. All of the wraps are excellent — especially the Southwest Chicken Wrap and the Fried Chicken Wrap. The Coronation Chicken Salad sandwich is a favorite, and the lavender lemonade is so good and unexpectedly refreshing. Even the tater tots are a standout — total nostalgic comfort in the best way. The food is fast, fresh, and genuinely delicious. Sam, the owner, truly cares about his customers and it shows in every detail. This place has heart, and the food delivers every time. Highly recommend.
The burger is so freaking good, especially with the sweet potato fries oof delicious!! Something about it feels so homey. I wouldve added a pic but I inhaled it😋 Please add a single patty burger to your menu so I dont have to call over the phone to place an order!
Consistently excellent sandwiches and friendly counter service. Limited hours (9am-3pm) keep this from being a more regular spot but I enjoy every time I go (or get takeout). Have also tried the soups, tater tots, which are fine, but recommend visiting for the sandwiches. Personal favorites: Coronation chicken (on baguette), Philly Cheesesteak (on baguette, Mon-Fri only)
If you do find yourself this deep into Greenpoint Eagle Trading Company is a great place to seek out breakfast. I know the name sounds like they sound be selling raw denim or something but in reality they slang great breakfast sandwiches and burritos. Normally I live a toasted tortilla on my breakfast burrito but this really worked w/o that so no harm no foul from me. The matcha and coffee were also good too.
Super solid food, strongly recommend the chorizo breakfast burrito. Also I saw what I believe was the owner make sure a gentleman who looked like he needed some help got fed. Feels good to support a local business that pays it forward. 🤍
Absolute best breakfast/lunch spot in Greenpoint. Amazing menu. Our go-to order is a tuna wasabi melt, tomato soup, and breakfast burrito. You really can’t go wrong with whatever you order. The staff are so friendly; the owner Sam is the nicest. Cute vibe in both winter and summer (when they add outdoor tables). Just couldn’t love this place more.
Stopped in during a bike ride home. Plenty of bike parking along the side walks. They were close to closing but the staff didn't make me feel rushed and seemed genuinely happy to have me. Super clean inside and they have a good menu of items. I opted for the crispy fish sandwich with fries and ice tea. To my surprise, I also got a delicious chocolate croissant on the house. Portion was good and the food high quality with spicy ketchup. They have nice outdoor seating with umbrellas and was kept very clean. Great service, great food and great ambience. Definitely recommend.
I was in the neighborhood getting my hair done and my stylist recommended this spot. The turkey bacon avocado sandwich with cheddar was amazing! The sandwiches are served on a fresh baguette with a side of cholula. I highly recommend this place. I also got a pistachio latte (incredible!) I highly recommend.
Solid lunch options for pickup and delivery with some areas to sit. Their cobb salad and tomato soup are both excellent. Prices are good for the area for similar options (though not at all inexpensive).
Simple neighborhood joint that serves tasty sandwiches and salads. They have a good selection of vegetarian dishes, the chipotle wrap is my personal favorite. They also serve delicious pastries from Balthazar.
We placed an order for the office lunch because we like the food and service, when the order was picked up it was really off, the Beyond burgers were real beef burgers and we were missing a sandwich. At first we thought this was going to be a problem to correct. Nope. No problem at all. We called back to explain what happened and the staff remembered the order, realized the mistake and corrected the food order. we were only inconvenienced the trip back to pick it up again. We will be repeat customers again! Keep up the good work. Our only gripe is unless you call in your order, you are redirected to a 3rd party for online purchases. We would like to see a direct online order and purchase process on their own website. The Vegan Chili is incredible!
This was a pretty good coffee place with a great vibe. The open windows made my coffee extra enjoyable as I watched people stroll down the street. The muffin was good as well.
The bacon, cheese, spinach omelette and banana oatmeal are delicious. The iced chai is also good. The Buffalo chicken wrap was not great. This is a cute little spot for all day breakfast. Would recommend for breakfast or coffee.
Food is great, if you know that to order. Some items may be bland for more ethnic taste buds. Depending on time of visit, sometimes the line can get pretty long. No customer bathroom.
I enjoyed the food. The spicy tomato soup was very tasty, as was the grilled cheese. Cute atmosphere. Plenty of seating and light from the windows. Good music. However I didn’t like when I sat at the coffee bar I could hear the music in the kitchen. Just kind of threw off the vibe.
Great food, solid coffee. Not that I'm a coffee snob, but this is easily on par with what is offered in any of the other coffee shops in the area. Had a ham sandwich which was superb. Some people said proportions are large, I felt that it was about the size you would expect for $9 in NYC. So kind of small to me but that's just opinion. Other than that personal quibble, I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for coffee or tasty but simple food options.
Solid neighborhood cafe with plenty of options. I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich and chorizo breakfast burrito to split with a friend while pescatarian friend enjoyed the fish sando and fries. Decent quality for the price, friendly service, and good amount of indoor/outdoor seating. Highlights were the Cholula packets and arnold palmer!
First time trying Eagle Trading Company, i was looking for a coffeeshop in Greenpoint for a bite and to do some work, my friend that lives few block from it sent me here. The vibe is nice, love the bike hanging in the wall. I was not impressed by the food, my avicado sandwich looked old and didn’t taste fresh.
Rustic looking coffee and sandwich store. The staff were super friendly and the food was reasonably priced. One minor complaint was the sandwiches are served in a basket rather than a plate, giving it more of a ‘diner’ feel than a cafe or restaurant. That being said, it tasted great so no major issue.
I’m just shocked I paid $10 for a bacon egg and cheese with ONE slice of bacon. That’s kind of crazy. The service is great, people are nice. I live I. The neighborhood and this place is so close yet their food (at least breakfast) has always disappointed me. I haven’t ate here for almost a year, finally decided to come back and try something new and I’m just shocked it had only one piece of bacon lol. The food is okay and the coffee is okay. This is somewhere I go for convenience, wish I could say better things. I’m sure there are other good things on the menu so don’t knock it till u try it I suppose.
It’s not absolutely terrible but is not recommended for a sit in brunch. The door is always left open in freezing winter, the food is heavy and unsophisticated. Decor isn’t great. I am European though so my expectation of food is higher than the average New Yorker. I will say the orange juice is fantastic though.
This place is ok for hanging out with your laptop and grabing a juice or coffee. Beyond that, don't bother. There are other places with much better food. The lox bagel here comes with three strands of onion, two capers if you're lucky, and very not so fresh salmon. We're in New York people...demand more from your bagels. The only highlight is a friendly bar staff - but when the food is that bad, who cares really.
I actually loved this place, so I am so sad to write this review. Unfortunately, I finished my iced coffee only to find a giant roach in it at the bottom. Obviously, quite traumatized. Not saying don’t order from here, but definitely thoroughly check your food and drink first.
Takes a half hour for a take out sandwich. Leaving this review to remind myself not to do it again
Guys WUT is going on. There has been hair in the food the last two times we have ordered. Such a bummer because we liked this place but literally cant do it anymore 😭
Good coffee and cozy atmosphere but I was disappointed that my $10 burrito had multiple hairs in the wrap. Disgusting. And there was one that I had pulled out before this picture too - it was way up in the burrito too - no joke. I also spilled my coffee because the lids are slippery and the cup flimsy - you can’t hold any other objects because you need two delicate hands to carry.
