It's a small place with not much seating. But the coffee is good and goat cheese and fig toast is quite good. I wouldn't go there if you want to sit down for a long time. They don't kick you out but there are so few seats that I felt guilty about sitting down for so long.
I love this place and I love their chai latte! Decoration/design is so cute, food and drinks are yummy and the best thing is that it’s so relaxing and calm. Not crazy pack like other spots around the area. I almost didn’t want to leave a review because more people will find out this spot but this place deserve the five stars.
Great local Bed Stuy neighborhood coffee shop. Conveniently located across from the park. I wish they opened at 7am instead of 8am for the early morning walk in the park. The granola and food is really delicious, the coffee is good, but sometimes the drink preparation is a bit rushed and not always a consistent in quality.
Stumbled upon this spot and it's such a gem. Great beverages, kind staff, and cool patrons. Got a delicious matcha latte and read a book—couldn't have been happier with how I spent my afternoon.
Coffee is good, food is great, staff is unmatched, vibe is immaculate. Do not come here because I want this place all for myself!
Convenient hours. My dog and I love stopping by Roy’s on our morning walks. The staff are nice and friendly and they have great coffee and pastry’s!
Nicest baristas!!!! And great coffee, not crowded during the week but can get crazy on the weekends. Great for a few hours of work during the week, most likely you’ll get a table. Food is good too!
Thanks for serving espresso tonic. It is hard to find elsewhere. Just one thing. Add lime to it. Would be even greater!
What up Mo. Moe? Cold brew is off the chizzle. And they had a good lentil soup this winter. They also got the pumpkin bread back! I like pistachio bread better now, but I like them both. And they have both. And croissants with cheese that you can get melted.
I love this place! Their coffee is delicious and I loooove the shakshuka! Can’t wait to try every pastry 😍🤤. The service is also Great—they’ve been super nice every time I’ve been in ❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely love this place! It’s so great to have an excellent coffee shop right near the park and the space is lovely.
A cozy place for lovers of fragrant coffee. A wide selection of drinks and desserts. Friendly staff and warm atmosphere. A great place to meet friends.
Best latte I've ever had
Well made coffee, tasty food, cozy cafe
A cute coffee shop frequented by park goers and their dogs, Little Roy has a good amount of drinks and smaller brunch items on their menu. I'd suggest trying one of the pastries that they have on display with your usual coffee. The employees are very nice and quick to get you your order. There's some outdoor seating which is nice, but Herbert Von King park across the street is also a good option instead.
This place is definitely a little gem, its not a big place, but the atmosphere is always welcoming and kind. Its definitely better then a lot of near by cafe's. Ive been there a few times now, and I haven't been disappointed by any of there sweets. am slowing making my way through all of them lol. Stuff so far always seem happy and friendly, and for someone who live in the community for several years now. thats always great, especially with so much change going on. definitely check this place out. O They have some outside seating, so if your with your dog you can be next to them, once you get your stuff
Cute coffee shop with house-roasted beans. Large outdoor seating area, but no heaters. Weekday afternoon was completely empty, but still inviting. A nice place to grab a coffee, or a bag of beans (which comes with a free drip). The quality is an 8/10, which while nothing to go out of your way for, is certainly a nice stop to grab locally roasted coffee. The roasts I saw were likely better for a drop/percolated/French press than an espresso, with a roast date of less than a week ago.
Staff is always friendly vibes are amazing they work as quickly as possible but yet still giving you quality the coffee is ALWAYS fresh they make a fresh cup per person which I LOVE ❤️ their almond croissant are amazing as well all of their pastries an food are always fresh as well too
I love you matcha ♥ The neighborhood-friendly cafe is a great tiny place to enjoy the presence of dogs, friendly banter, bikers, girls on their laptops, and brooklynites enjoying their early afternoon at the park. It’s truly Bed-Stuy Do Or Die.
Cute neighborhood coffee shop. Great cold brew and egg and cheese sandwich
Delicious coffee and very friendly staff. Will try the food eventually…

Mad props to the one man show at the counter! Barista, sandwich maker, and cafe cashier. Got drinks out quickly and had a great energy. Very good espresso
Cozy neighborhood coffee shop that does a good job of providing the espresso basics. Setting is good to meet with friends or take to-go. I see a lot of people working there but it’s a bit small and can feel crowded quickly. Overall a good spot to grab a quick coffee while walking through the nearby park.
Cozy spot with fantastic lattes and fresh pastries. The vibe is chill, perfect for working or relaxing
Like any coffee shop, you have to find the right time to go or it's very crowded. But, they have a 1-hour seating limit! So I was able to find comfy seating before my friend showed up. We loved it! Although he doesn't drink coffee and told me the hot chocolate wasn't great. Maybe they use Swiss Miss or something, I didn't get to try it myself. The pumpkin bread and vanilla latte I had were awesome and the workers are so sweet. I would recommend this place easily, just maybe not for hot chocolate, that's all!
A beautiful haven in Bed-Stuy. On a recent weekend visit to Brooklyn we found this gem. Excellent coffee and awesome vibe. Wish I could take the whole shop home with me.
Updated with response: yes, my parrot did say what sounded like a racial slur, but not at people. To the customer it may have been directed at, I’m not sure what you’re talking about. You were rude before that occurred. Plus I’ve seen lots of loud and ostentatious parrots in this shop. There are always tons of parrots there all the time, and some of them fly around and leave cracker crumbs EVERY WHERE! In addition, I did return a few weeks later and the cashier had a parrot on their shoulder. I’ve never received service like that before, even in New York. And quite frankly, I’m impressed. I am also a regular customer of this shop for over a year, always tipping the employees, and I WILL be tipping the parrot too from now on. This is actually the only cafe in New York that doesn’t treat me differently because of my peg leg and hook for a hand.
very cute, nice cafe. plenty of pastries, bagels, granola, etc. the shop is dog friendly. there is always a line, but it moves fairly quickly. it's a lovely place right next to HVB park and I've been going here for years. dependable, delicious and a really animated and kind staff. one wish is that they had vegan cream cheese for the bagels.
the place is small but very bright thanks to the whole front being glass. I had a great grilled cheese. And super friendly staff.
A rate occurrence: a coffee shop with proper tea.
I was in town for a week to handle some personal business. These guys gave me comfort throughout the week. Lisa , Max , R, John, and many of the other workers were nice and so encouraging for me. Whenever I visit next time this will be my first go to place. Thank you again. I wish I could have met the owner. This place was a blessing to me.

really cute place with outdoor seating but pretty disappointed with the food and coffee: the cold brew was really acidic and the croissants were just ok not crunchy or flaky enough. wish there were more vegan food options :( still cute and will be back but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Little Roy Coffee Co. Est. 2017 Layout/atmosphere *Six tables; tables on sidewalk Food/drink *Dirty Chai Latte - Good *Blueberry Scone - Good *Egg & Cheese Sandwich (sourdough bread) - Good; creeping heat on hot sauce
Totally a very good place to work and have a coffee! When the sun beams inside the atmosphere is just so relaxing and fresh! I love their avotoast!!!!

While the coffee and vibe is great, and the staff is super nice, I would appreciate if they stock up on the most basic milk types like whole and skimmed. I understand this movement of stocking a million types of non dairy milks, but some of us want to have our latter with plain old skimmed milk
It’s okay. Typical coffee shop and in my opinion the prices weren’t crazy. At least when I came there was no simple syrup so all my sugar sat at the bottom of my iced coffee. Pastries were good.

Little Roy’s STEP UP YOUR DRIP COFFEE GAME! You’re the cutest coffee shop for miles, best view, great pastries, great espresso drinks, super friendly staff, but your drip is whack. It is indistinguishable from gas station coffee. Please don’t make me walk all the way to Burly for the good-good. Burly, I love you, but your drip coffee is bringing me down.
Pros: lovely staff, good coffee, amazing location. Cons: intensely dark bitter matcha (wayyyy too much powder added, please don't offer something without training in how to prepare) and pastries that are just not up to par with NYC standards. Prepare the matcha properly (just look it up on YouTube! Matcha shouldn't be forest green) and find a better bakery source and you have a lovely coffee shop.
Cute spot. Employees appear to struggle trying to do everything. They should have more staff working or cut back on food options. One person can not efficiently serve a line of customers when sandwiches orders are placed in addition to espresso drinks.
Food was good, chai and turmeric lattes were both good. But when I asked what was in the halloumi bowl, I was met with a rude "halloumi" and had to press for more info. I have food allergies so this was pretty off-putting. Then was weirdly talked down to about my milk choices Everyone outside of that interaction was amazing though.
Didn’t really enjoy the matcha here, the ratio was 90% oat milk with 10% matcha. However the goat cheese and fig toast was really good! The park is nice to eat at because this place gets pretty busy on the weekends

I live in the area and have been coming here for a year. I tried to hold off on posting a bad experience but I consistently have been having poor interactions with the staff that I now go out of my way to a cafe farther away from me for coffee. There is a woman who chats and carries conversations with patrons while ignoring a line of people waiting to order. During rush hour, this confuses me, as people are looking to grab coffee and go to work. There is one male who gives off bad attitude for no reason. I’ve seen him chat up his friend with a smile, give her a discounted drink, and then give me the cold shoulder as I stepped up to order. Most other one offs that I encounter have also just been un-friendly. Coffee itself is subpar.

There are tables to sit in but coffee is served in takeaway cups and food in a cardboard box with plastic cutlery in a plastic wrapper. I asked for actual plates and cutlery but they didn’t have any. Yeah food and coffee were nice but why using plastic?? Climate change peops. We all need to do our bit. Pretty bad.
Sad to say, this place is not as good and much more expensive as the neighborhood is getting inundated with people moving in. Paid $20 for a small cookie and two iced lattes that were basically all milk.

They refused to serve my avocado toast on a plate for me to stay, saying they don’t keep plates. Weird since I’ve had it on a plate before to eat inside
