Absolutely amazing! Their homemade flavors are incredible and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The creativity and authenticity in their flavor combinations is outstanding. From classic vanilla to unique seasonal varieties, everything is made fresh in-house. The texture is perfectly creamy and the portions are generous. Highly recommend trying their signature homemade flavors - you won't be disappointed!
Good customer service! I stopped by two weeks ago in the freezing cold and I was met by one of the sons. I placed the order via a third party delivery app for pick up, but I was also given a card to bring where after ten purchases, you receive a free ice cream treat. I thought it was awesome. The strawberry cake was delicious. 5/5, I would get it again. The chocolate fudge cake was good, not my favorite but I would repurchase. 4/5. The vanilla ice cream was delicious, maybe I needed it to be a bit more creamy but it was for the most part good and it did taste all natural without any additives and preservatives from more commercial brands. It’s a sizable shop, so I do give them an overall 4.5 rating. I think the only things there should be are labels for the different ice cream flavors because while there is an assortment available, I wouldn’t know which one is which when deciding to choose between them. I would stop back here in the spring or summer when it’s warmer.
The man that runs this shop opened on time. I put some money in the meter and walked in. He sells flavors that are not common to find. He gives you 3 tastes of ice creams. I ordered the cherry soursop. He sells grape nut, which is hard to find. I tasted the peanut flavor ice cream and it tasted spot on. He fills the ice cream tubs to the brim. I did not see cones when I walked in. I'll have to ask if he carries them. He also makes milk shakes. Maybe one day, I'll try that.
Updated review 8/14/24: Mr. P’s is still here serving the most delicious homemade ice creams with so many flavors to choose from. Today, I decided to get the soursop cherry ice cream in a cup and boy oh boy, I’m happy with my choice. It is extremely refreshing and delicious. 09/7/23 I stopped by to try a scoop of soursop ice cream. It was sweet but delicious. They have so many unique and different flavors. I’m excited to visit again to try out the other flavors. The decor is very colorful and nice.
Brilliant flavorful Caribbean inspired ice cream many unique (charcoal, seamoss etc) and some classical flavors (20 ish total with 10 vegan), large portions (3 scoops was nearly a pint), good prices ($3 per scoop), some indoor seating and they allow sampling. Definitely recommend. My favorite flavors were the sorrel ginger (a lovely warming spice with some tartness that while chilled is just something else. One of the best sorbets I have ever had) and charcoal (not very smoky but a brilliant black). The chocolate and vanilla were also quite good. Will comeback to have more.
Mr. P’s Homemade Ice cream is EXCEPTIONAL! The place is clean, the ice cream delicious and the staff very friendly. Kenton took great care of us! He was patient, accommodating and filled my cup to the brim. My cousin and I even snapped a picture with Mr. P! It was my first time there but it won’t be my last. I am one happy girl!
The best icecream 🍦 in NYC. Quality ingredients. Made with love. So many different carribean flavors. Shout out to Dwuane for explaining everything to us and being so kind. The icecream is perfectly sweet. Nice custard. I give this place 10 star. Vegan and Dairy free options with icecream and cakes and shakes. The peanut and banana were my favorite. The ginger flavors outrageous. The mauby tree bark so unique and delicious 😋. Guava and grape nuts great. Charcoal was fun. The elderberry and ginget special was outrageous. Beautiful inside. Well be back. Top notch.
Had the pleasure of having the sorrel, chocolate, mango and coconut ice cream. The sorrel was the best. Plan on going back to get other flavors
Wonderful small family-run ice cream parlor with creative and delicious Caribbean flavors. The place is popular with the locals and there can be a line but the wait is worth it. The ice cream is fresh and taste authentic without a strong heavy cream feel, more a natural texture. It’s $4 for a 4 Oz cup, $8 for a 8oz, $13 for a 16oz and $25 for a 32oz container. You can mix and match flavors in those cups.
If you're looking for a scoop of pure joy in the heart of Brooklyn's Little Caribbean, look no further than Mr. P's Homemade Ice Cream. This delightful family-run ice cream shop, led by the veteran ice cream maker Patrick 'Mr. P' Victor and his talented sons Dwayne Regrello and Shaquille Victor, is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Walking into Mr. P's is like entering an ice cream wonderland. The place boasts an array of exotic and tempting flavors that will make your taste buds dance with delight. From soursop to sorrel ginger, charcoal to coconut, avocado to butter pecan, coffee to grapenut, they have something to cater to every palate, including an impressive selection of vegan options. What sets Mr. P's apart is not just their mouthwatering ice cream but also their heartwarming backstory. The Victor family hails from Trinidad and Tobago, bringing with them a deep-rooted passion for ice cream. Patrick Victor, the patriarch of the family, learned the art of ice cream making as a teenager on the Caribbean island. Fast forward a few decades, and the family has come full circle, sharing their ice cream love with the vibrant community of Brooklyn. Dwayne Regrello, one of Mr. P's sons, is not only a fantastic host but also a magician when it comes to recommending the perfect treat. I can personally vouch for his impeccable customer service – when I asked him to surprise me with the best ice creams, cakes, shakes, and anything else that could satisfy my sweet tooth, he delivered beyond my wildest expectations. It's clear that he and the entire family are dedicated to creating an experience that leaves you not just satisfied but also beaming with happiness. As if the ice cream and warm hospitality weren't enough, Mr. P's is also celebrating Brooklyn's Labor Day weekend with special flavors that capture the essence of the Caribbean. The Little Caribbean lemon ginger and mango flavors are a testament to the shop's commitment to honoring their roots while tantalizing our taste buds. In conclusion, Mr. P's Homemade Ice Cream is more than just an ice cream shop; it's a family's dream come true and a tribute to the rich Caribbean heritage. So, whether you're a local looking for a sweet escape or a tourist exploring the culinary treasures of Brooklyn, make sure to stop by Mr. P's – you'll leave with a smile on your face and a scoop of happiness in your hand. And who knows, you might even find yourself writing a review while indulging in their irresistible ice cream, just like me!
I haven’t tasted a flavor that I dislike yet. From butter pecan, to sorrel ginger omg. So good. Unfortunately they only have mango in the summer :( but these homemade flavors really hit different. 10/10.
Very friendly atmosphere. The staff was helpful and let me taste a few flavors before making my choice. A fellow customer helped me with my choice too. I got a scoop of grapenut and a scoop of soursop icecream. Definitely be back.!

Delicious and authentic! We had the sorrel, soursop and grapenut flavors. All really good. Wish they had rum raisin. They offer cake slices too and open til 10pm.
Today was my first time going in and I tried the grape nut ice cream and I must say not only was the ice cream a 10 out of 10, so was The Customer Service! I forgot to ask the young man’s who served me, his name name but they’re definitely doing something right in there. Y’all go show them some love pls
What a special place, father and son duo, with just amazing flavors you can't find elsewhere. Dwayne was friendly and the coconut ginger ice cream was delicious.
Wow! 🤩 Soursop flavour is definitely so delicious. Tried it for the first time and I really like it. It's really amazing! 5 🌟 Friendly staff. Highly recommend this fresh, homemade ice-cream 👌

Delicious ice cream! We tried the soursop, coconut, and guava flavors and they all taste delicious and exactly like the fruits, not the artificial ingredients/taste that other places and stores use. Customer service was great. We will definitely be back!
Today we tried ice cream from here. Homemade is real, consistency of the ice cream looks like sorbet, but omg the soursop flavor? yummy. Creamy and lychee undertone real soursop. Cant wait to go back and try more. Avocado tho? eh, cause it tasted too sweet and not thick enough for me. Sea moss was also kinda soapy tasting idk thats our opinion tho. It smells so good inside the cakes they have? I really wanted some, it was so tempting. But highly, strongly, and encourage u to get soursop flavor if you love soursop.
Amazing ice cream… my favorite are the grape nut and soursop. Also their carrot cake is absolutely delicious. Good place to get your homemade ice cream and cakes 💯😉

Only rating the service. I finally went in after passing by since they opened. Was intrigued by the list of flavors; tried 3. Settled on the cherry soursop but sadly like the other flavors I tried it only tasted like condensed milk. I wouldn't go back. The service was great though.

Bro front counter people need to get fired , they don’t own it so they don’t care how they talk/ treat customers …. My recommendation is hire a new squad , if they are friendly in interview hire them cus the one u girl u got there got to go … look at all the reviews you’ll see all the bad reviews are strictly about customer service and how they’re treating us in that place. I came there all the way from Long Island. I’m Trinidad and I came to bring my Italian girlfriend and it was a horrible experience the girl serving the ice cream was acting as if we told her to take that job as if it was our fault that she was at work like you should be happy to even have a job in 2025

I’ve tried a dozen times and no matter who is at the shop or how little or how many customers are in there, the service is not only terrible and unfriendly- it’s slow. I’ve also tried several flavors and varieties- dairy, vegan, sorbet and I don’t like it. Catch me at Island Pops, where the people are efficient and friendly and the ice cream is creamy, flavorful and delicious.
