This place is simply phenomenal. I went for the first time over a year ago, and have been dreaming about their proscuitto di parma (aged 24 months and then placed on a tomato crustini) ever since. I went back yesterday, and it was just as good. I can’t express enough how amazing this place is, and the service was wonderful. All the servers are friendly and helpful, and were willing to accommodate our quick turn-around time of 30 minutes on a busy weekend. I’ve tried a ton of italian food in NYC, and this place is hands down my favorite. The pasta is handmade and the desserts & drinks are also excellent. I honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about it - we went back two days in a row because the proscuitto bruschetta was so amazing. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AND CHEFS AT AURORA.
What a beautiful experience at Aurora in Brooklyn. The pasta was absolutely spectacular , rich, perfectly balanced, and full of authentic Italian flavor. The risotto was equally impressive, creamy and refined, cooked to perfection. The kale salad was fantastic , fresh, vibrant, and beautifully prepared. And the dessert… the chocolate cake paired with their homemade ice cream was simply unforgettable. We also enjoyed a lovely selection of Italian wines that complemented every course beautifully. The cozy ambiance made the entire evening feel warm and intimate. A special thank you to Antonio for his attentive and gracious service , he made the evening even more special. Highly recommend for an authentic , innovative and elevated Italian dining experience in Brooklyn.
This place is a gem! Rustic and cozy. Wonderful ambiance and excellent service by Antonio, our server, and CJ, the manager, who welcomed us like family. We truly felt like we were home, which was nice because we were celebrating a pre-wedding family dinner. The food was wonderful and delicious. We started with a few appetizers to share and most of us got pasta entrées but some also ordered the steak, the pork, and risotto with wine overflowing to multiple toasts of course! We finished with an array of desserts that was a perfect finish to a perfect meal.
Most incredible gnocchi I’ve ever had. This is coming from someone who makes their own. Light, delicious and flavors that are insanely addictive. I didn’t want it to be done. The Berkshire pork chop also amazing but my bf ate it so fast I only got one bite. I will certainly be back. One of the best meals I’ve had the honor to taste. Bravo great work
My family was there for New Year's Day brunch. Staff was courteous and friendly. Though they had a lot of customers, everyone's conversations were respectfully low. Some restaurants I've been to I would need to raise my voice from across the table. I hate that. Our waitress, Susie, was terrific. Very professional, friendly and helpful. Though not at all intrusive, Susie would check our table to see if we needed anything. The food and dessert were excellent. This was our first visit here. We will definitely be returning.
Aurora is one of those rare gems that perfectly balances atmosphere, hospitality, and unforgettable cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the cool Brooklyn vibe. We stopped there before the Brooklyn horror fest for dinner. The staff is phenomenal, genuinely friendly, SO attentive and clearly passionate about what they do. Every interaction feels personal, and it’s obvious they take pride in creating an experience, not just serving a meal. And the food? Absolutely mouthwatering! Every dish bursts with flavor! The kind of food that makes you pause mid-bite to moan with delight just to thoroughly appreciate it! We had the most tender melt in your mouth, brisket the delicious gnocchi, and the most incredible pork chop I’ve ever tasted in my life! Absolutely everything feels prepared with care and creativity. You can taste the quality in every bite. Aurora is more than just a restaurant… it’s a vibe, a memory, and a must-visit for anyone who loves great food in an inviting, stylish setting. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience the best of Brooklyn dining! A++++++! Cool atmosphere. Wonderful staff. We loved Mickey! Unforgettable food. Aurora hits every note perfectly!
SO UNBELIEVABLY GOOD. Food is amazing and every single member of the staff is friendly, hospitable, and helpful!! The prosciutto de Parma is one of the best dishes I've had in my whole life and it was so good we came back two days in a row on a short weekend trip for it. Would absolutely recommend and will be returning every time I'm in NYC
Wow! What an amazing place! Came here for birthday dinner and ordered the Radicchio as an appetizer. Cacio e Pepe for entree. Both were just perfection. I don’t have a very hard to please palette but when I have quality food, it’s easy to tell it’s been made with intention and skill. Come here!
Aurora Brooklyn is a gem! The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a date night or special gathering. Every dish we tried was fresh and flavorful—especially the pasta, which was outstanding. The staff is incredibly attentive and kind, making the entire experience seamless and memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-tier Italian food in Brooklyn. Will definitely be back!
This is a hidden gem in Williamsburg. I really liked their outdoor seating. Not many places offer outdoor seating with a calm atmosphere. All of the appetizers we tried were amazing. The arancini is a must! The chocolate cake was really good as well.
food was amazing, felt like I was in Italy! Antonio and Francisco made our experience unforgettable! We can’t wait to go back!
The food was good. The manager was so cool, the staff were awesome. You can definitely enjoy Italian food with a twist. A dinner date and your partner will forever remember that night.
We found Qurota ristorante by chance.Firstly we were attracted by this cute building. It is a traditional Italian restaurant, cuisine was so delicious.Great quality of ingredients, and I believe that they use Italian olive oil instead of other bad quality oil such as canola oil where most of the restaurants use. The staff is super friendly and professional. Neapolitan coffee is perfect with ice cream dessert. I really enjoy dining in this atmosphere! I strongly recommend you to go to this restaurant if you go to Brooklyn!
We had reservations for 7:30 and we got seated right away. We ordered the squid ink cavatelli, it was filled with flavor and tons of seafood. This was shared by two of us and it was enough. We also got the tiramisu- for our liking it had a bit too much coffee but it was a great sharing option. Overall, the best part was definitely the food, our kind waiter, the lighting, the mood. It was a great experience with great company!
Came here on a date with my best friend. We had a great time. The waiter was very nice and gave us good suggestions. The appetizers are big so please be mindful. Domino park is right now the street for a nice summer stroll afterwards. Parking can get a little crazy in Williamsburg toward the evening. I will be back. The outside dinning experience is great if the weather agrees.
We were able to get a last minute reservation for 6 people which was surprising and I’m so glad we were able to eat here. Everything was pretty much perfection. Our server was very friendly and attentive, the vibe was good and the food was amazing. All the plates were presented so nicely and the flavors were just what you wanted. I would recommend this place for a date night, small groups but probably not more than 6 people as the dining room isn’t that big, the same with the tables. A must try restaurant in williamsburgh.
The place was filled with people- not a bad thing on a Friday night. Hospitality was great! We were greeted when we walked through the doors. Told them we had a reservation for Two. Someone sat us immediately! No wait time. Our waiter was great! He was punctual with everything- and he multi task amazingly with all is customers. He deserves the moon lol. The wait time on the food was no more than Ten mins. The food was delicious! Take it from me- I’m a very picky person. I rate the food 10/10. Everything is literally reasonable priced and the tip. You decide what to give. Your waiter brings the hand held device to your table for you to pay. The lighting in the restaurant is very pleasant. I would definitely go back and I live in Staten Island. There’s Two single restrooms. One person at a time. Yes, the restrooms are clean. If I steer you wrong- come back here and give me a thumb down. I hope you enjoy like I did.
Went with my husband for dinner, the food was delicious and fresh. My favorite thing was definitely the ricotta cake! Also Simon was amazing, professional and very knowledgeable about the menu, and amaros and grappas. He helped me pick out one I would like, since I wasn’t familiar with any of the ones they had on the menu. Overall a lovely experience. Will definitely be back!
I had the good fortune to dine here during a pasta tasting course event—and what can I say, Missy Robbins does not miss. Each dish was a sensational, beautifully executed, elevated take on traditional pastas and ingredients from Campania. I truly appreciated how knowledgeable and attentive the entire staff was, with a special shoutout to Chloe for her exceptional service.
super cute brooklyn spot churning out beautiful handmade pasta meant to be shared. we ordered four to share (ravioli with ricotta and marinara, porchetta capeletti special, spaghetti bottarga were the statndouts) and finished with affogato which was perfect. service was great. the outdoor seating area was lovely. would go again!
I know I keep giving out 5 stars, but this is so well deserved! It was an incredible experience! Food: SO DELICIOUS. Pasta was out of this world, but Delicata Squash with Bagna Vert and the Artichoke Sandwich was incredible! Loved this because it shows that they care about good ingredients and non-pasta dishes too. Great portion sizes — not too much which I really appreciate. Highly recommend splitting dishes and trying a few things! Felt kind of like a tasting menu that way. Atmosphere: Small, intimate and cozy! It felt special to have a seat there and watch as one chef whips up all these delicious plates. The flow of food was perfectly timed. My only note is the chairs are very uncomfortable. It was okay, but that was the only minus! Service: The kindest wait staff who seem to be very knowledgeable about the food and menu. Really enjoyed the energy and vibe!
Lovely concept like in Italy but with a modern twist. They just had a silent opening party yesterday august 19, and business starts on Monday august 21. You come for your fresh ingredients pasta, cheese and all that is necessary for a great meal. While you wait you can sip on one of the 30 ish wines on the menu. With some light bites. Can’t wait to be back.
Although I'm giving it 4 stars, I do believe if I go back, I'll change it to 5. The food was good, the atmosphere was great, and the service was ok. In their defense, they were getting ready for a wedding that was happening 1 and a half hours after our reservation. We had the bunch menu and it had a good variety of options. We had, duck sausage, pasta, french toast, and a burger. The total came out to about 100 dollars. This was a very fair price considering it was for 2 people and we over ordered.
Food was nice, appetizers and main entrees. "Gentrified" place for sure. Calm. Stuff is alright. Seen only white workers there for some reason.
Can’t comment on the food but the cocktails were delicious. It’s a warm, dimly lit restaurant with romantic lighting. The garden looks beautiful for warm evenings although nobody was out there due to the excessive heat. Our server was efficient, although not especially warm. All of the food going out to other tables looked incredibly enticing so we would like to return for dinner.
Excellent experience with great food. The grilled artichoke sandwich was incredible. The chef was really cool and friendly, she made us an amazing spaghetti bottarga that was made perfectly. Home made ravioli in simple red sauce was super soft and fresh, the ricotta had an amazing creamy flavor. Entire staff was friendly and great.
Great offshoot of Misi with a beautiful back garden filled with mature trees, comfortable tables & chairs and soft lighting. Perfect for a date night. Inside is small and not a lot of seating. The kitchen is open and the seats next to it are the best in the house. Menu is simple and features their homemade pasta and delicious grilled artichoke sandwich. Portions of pasta are small and I wish they featured more varieties of the ones they sell in the store in the front of the restaurant. Service is phenomenal and everyone is eager to make you happy. Perfect night out!!
I'd rate this place a 4 out of 5. Despite the fresh ingredients, I found the flavors slightly lackluster; there's a hard-to-pinpoint, somewhat "musty" quality to them. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and the deli upfront adds to the charm. On a separate note: It's mere speculation, but I couldn't help but notice nearby tables receiving complimentary service items, whereas ours did not. The only apparent distinction was the skin color/ethnicity of the diners. I'm not accusing Misipasta, but it did strike me as a bit unusual.
I was excited to get a table as a walk-in when my friend and I were in the area and decided on a whim to check out Missy Robins’ latest dining establishment. The wait was only 45 mins, enough time to grab an aperitif nearby and if you’ve ever tried to get a reservation at her other two restaurants (Misi & Lilia), you know that 45 mins was an amazing wait time. Our first impression was that it felt more like a pasta shop than a restaurant, since you notice the pasta with homemade pasta & ravioli first, and seating is limited. (I later noticed a large outside area in the backyard though, so I’d love to come back in warmer weather.) Apparently, the pasta store is the core of the business, which means the menu is much more limited than in her other restaurants. I personally was a bit disappointed when I noticed that there was only one pasta dish on the menu - and it had bottarga in it, which is a cured fish grated over pasta dishes.. for me as a vegetarian, this was a No. For a place that has “pasta” in its name, I was hoping for more pasta dishes on the menu. That said, my friend enjoyed this dish. The only vegetarian main dish on the menu was a sort-of artichoke burger (artichoke, cheese and hot pepper on a bun), which was fine, but also something I’d not go back for. We shared two starters: tomatoes on sourdough (divine!) and marinated eggplant (which we wish would’ve been served on sourdough too - we could’ve pictured this well with the whipped ricotta) Everything else at MISIPASTA was perfect: the service was impeccable, the cocktails were delectable, and the atmosphere was lovely. I hope the menu changes and we can come back to try different dishes.
I could spend this entire review ranting about how much I hated sitting on the silver stools at Misipasta. They are ridiculously slippery. I had to wrap my legs behind me and lock my feet to stop falling off them. My BF is much nicer than me was fuming about them. That's reason enough not to go back. There are other reasons but before I go into the food let me tell you I had one of the most drop dead, best meals of my life when Missy Robbins was the chef at Corkbuzz Chelsea. I wish it had trickled down to this place. First of all, it's kind of torturous to be in a place where there's a really small and not crazy interesting menu while you're surrounded by this other food that looks much better but you can't eat in the restaurant. SMH. THAT PORCHETTA was just teasing me. The service was a bit uneven considering how small the spaces and how bored some of the people looked behind the counter. The waiter answer the question about the drinks and then never came back to take the order for them. The pour on my glass of wine was wildly different depending upon who did it. Pssst... I definitely prefer the generous server. We started with the fontina gougeres and prosciutto. Gougeres were excellent. The prosciutto was sliced unevenly. Parts of the same slice of meat were too thick and properly thin so it was chewy. The artichoke sandwich is very good. Our resident vegetarian was very happy with it and wished she could get it everyday for lunch. The delicata squash was quite tasty under the bright bagna vert sauce. The farinata was beautifully executed but small. It begged having a bowl of something saucy with it. Problem is all three pasta sides were uninteresting. They looked uninteresting on the menu and they followed through. It tasted like I was eating a bowl of spaghetti with breadcrumbs and barely any bottarga in it. The cappelletti filling was okay but again nothing interesting about the sauce just seemed like a little bit of butter and there was barely any sauce on the maltagliati although the texture was good. Since pasta is the main focus of this place you think it would be amazing. My experience for the hype and the price was opposite. I would not recommend. It's weird to have to stare at a tiramisu from my seat and not being able to order any. We had the chocolate panna cotta for dessert which the consistency of chocolate mousse and was not like panna cotta at all but it was delicious. I do love the look of the place and the branding on all the products. Prices in the store are breathtaking. I think a $38 small bottle of anchovies would need to be eaten with a razor blade. Lol!
This was honestly a shocking and disappointing experience. The tables themselves are extremely small, barely enough space to eat comfortably. The food was the biggest letdown. The spaghetti portion was smaller than a handful, yet priced as if this were fine dining. After still being hungry, we ordered dessert, and that was another shock. The San Sebastian cheesecake was about one-third the size of a normal slice, while costing nearly double the price. They try very hard to create a "fine dining" image, but in reality, it's just tiny portions of pasta with unjustifiable prices. You leave hungry and overcharged. I shared this feedback directly with them if this continues, it's hard to see how this place can survive. Absolutely not worth it. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Food was unbearably slowwww! Super small and super overpriced dishes, per volume it’s more expensive than 2 star Michelins. The salad what was 20$ was a tiny pile of idk what that taste like Chinese medicine. It was so slow and bad we had to leave and eat at another place and we were starving;(( staff too focused on chatting among themselves the food came super late and cold.
