The jasmine tea was good! Also, all of the cashiers are handsome or pretty. And they do a little team chant that is interesting! I love the bag they gave.
Champaca is the Champion of all Milk Teas! I've been downing milk teas since the noughties, but I've never had nothing like this! The tea is derived from the Champak flower which is a South Asian, Southeast Asian variety of Magnolia. So if you love the sweet, summery scent of American Magnolias, you will love this tea which harbors a delicious and gentle floral flavor that is absolutely stunning! Get some!
Molly Tea is honestly one of the best tea shops I’ve tried. Their drinks are super fresh, the tea flavor is strong and fragrant, and the sweetness level is always just right. The jasmine milk tea tastes creamy and smooth without being too heavy, and you can tell they use good-quality ingredients. The shop is clean, the service is friendly, and everything comes out fast. Definitely a place I’d go back to again.
Molly Tea has become my go-to spot because everything they make tastes incredibly fresh and balanced. The tea has a rich, natural aroma, and you can actually taste the real tea instead of just sugar or syrup. Their milk teas are smooth, creamy, and never overpowering, and the toppings are always soft and high quality. The staff is welcoming, the shop feels bright and clean, and the drinks are consistent every single time. It’s the kind of place you recommend to friends because you know they’ll love it too.
I waited about 30 minutes, but honestly it was worth it for Molly. The place feels very cozy, almost like being at someone’s house. The tea and drinks were really good—fresh, smooth, and made with care. I liked that they used less ice so the flavor stayed strong. The device and setup they use is also really nice, it makes the whole experience feel special. The drinks are a little on the pricey side, but I think it’s okay because the quality makes up for it. Overall, very good experience, and I would come back again.
I first tried Molly Tea at the flushing location and let me tell you.. I am hooked. I love jasmine tea and Molly Tea makes an AMAZING jasmine tea. I tried quite a few of their drinks and I have no complaints about any of them. Having just came back from Asia, I was spoiled by bubble tea spots that use actual tea leaves (none of that powders stuff that they usually use here). Although, Molly Tea is a bit in the pricey side; you can’t beat the quality of the drink. I also love that you can accumulate points to redeem for items in the Molly Store.
Come at me—Molly Tea is the undisputed champion of all the boba/ tea shops in NYC. Their aromatic, premium tea is pure bliss—totally worth the hype. I was thrilled to try their NEW floral brewed tea series, and every drink was a perfect match—right on the sweet spot! The pistachio cheese foam was a winner for me. I got a free scented sachet — they’re doing a promotion to give away free scented sachet or shopping bag if you buy two drinks. *Pistachio Jasmine Coco $7.99 ** *Pistachio White Champaca $7.99 ** At my first glance, I already knew I would LOVE these drinks — LOOK AT THAT PISTACHIO CHEESE FOAM!! Perfectly creamy, nutty and topped with crushed pistachio, just like pistachio cheesecake. It is a double pistachio experience with their signature fragrant tea. *Premium Iced Tea $4.59 *Gardenia Iced Tea $4.59 * The gardenia ice tea was a surprise hit! So aromatic, minty and refreshing. I’ve never had tea like this before
Located in the heart of the Brooklyn Chinatown, this is a popular and trendy milk tea spot. You see a lot of young adults and teens from all cultures patronize here and it is usually crowded. It is a very tasty milk tea, consisting of simply jasmine tea, whole milk, and sugar. Jasmine tea if you’ve never had it before, is a very floral drink. We waited on a line that was a couple feet beyond the door but we got in and ordered in 5 minutes. What took longer, was for them to make the drinks, despite having around a dozen workers. We waited 20 minutes for them to make our drinks, so a 25 minute total wait to be in and out. All popular spots are pricey to patronize and this spot is no different. It costs $6.99 for a 12 fl oz tea. But if you haven’t had jasmine milk tea before, the price isn’t important. Give it a shot if you’re in the area!
They have 2 lines one for Hungry Panda preorder and one non-Hungry Panda. The line wasn’t too long when I came in the morning. Ordered the White Champaca milk tea and the jasmine mango smoothie 30% sugar is perfect. Staff was very nice both outside and inside . Soft opening 12% discount!
Heard Molly Tea was open and wanted to try it since people were saying it's better than HeyTea. Having tried the latter, I went in with high expectations! There are several lines, one line for ordering drinks, one for pick up, and one for delivery pick up. The line to order the drinks moves pretty quick- within 5 minutes, you're in the pick up line. This is the line that takes a bit longer. We waited about 10 minutes for 3 drinks. It gets pretty crowded inside. Cold Drinks ordered all with 70% sugar which they said was the norm: Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, Premium Jasmine Oat Milk Tea, and Snowy Jasmine. All of them had a hint of Jasmine Tea taste but the Oat milk one had a stronger tea taste than the regular milk one, in my opinion. The Snowy Jasmine drink once mixed together tasted like vanilla ice cream with notes of Jasmine. Definitely for the person with a sweet tooth! Overall, very floral notes. Would come back if that's what I was craving ( probably not). Otherwise, I'd go elsewhere for fruity bubble teas. If you get a drink, I recommend the hot ones. The colder ones have less Jasmine taste.
I really like Molly tea but the service here was not good. When we were ordering I understand it was a confusing order but the girl taking the order was a bit rude and then sighed loudly… then later when getting my order I asked for the insulated bags since we’re taking the drinks home and she said I would have to pay $1 for the bag. I would pay for it but I didn’t want to because while I was waiting for them to add the whipped cream to my drinks a girl who got her order in a paper bag asked for the insulated bag and then they took out her one drink from the bag and put it in the insulated bag. She did ask in Chinese… so idk if they gave it to her cus of that. And I get it people get extra sometimes but I asked right after.. anyway i told them the girl ahead got the bag and asked why I can’t and the girl says its cus she placed the order online, and i was like i know she didn’t so then she says it cus she ordered one drink and so she can get that bag but if i want it i need to order at least 6 drinks. Like what? I have 4 drinks and you can’t give me an insulated bag but if you order 1 you can get an insulated bag? Then I should just order my drinks in 4 separate transactions… It was a bit frustrating cus I just wanted the bag so the drinks can stay colder for my sister. It really isn’t a big deal but the way the girl was from the beginning until the end was just rude. All the drinks are really good. I do feel like the whipped cream tasted lighter at the flushing location but maybe it’s just in my head Also, I haven’t been able to taste the jasmine in the whipped cream from flushing or this location.. taste just like reg whipped cream but the pecans make it sooo good
I ordered 3 drinks online from Molly Tea Brooklyn, and they were ready within 10 minutes — that’s impressive! During pickup, the staff handed me a hot drink barehanded on a 90°F summer day — no bag or cup sleeve. As a customer, I shouldn’t have to ask the obvious: “Can you put this in a bag?” That should be automatic. This moment reflects these key issues: 1. Molly Tea Brooklyn (BK) doesn’t anticipate customer needs. 2. Their staff aren’t trained to deliver the full customer experience. From both my personal and company visits, we also noticed some staff struggle with clear English communication, making it hard to explain promos or events — especially to customers who aren’t active on social media / digital platforms. That said, their drinks are creative and delicious. I genuinely enjoyed the Pistachio White Champaca Oat Milk Tea. But growth won’t come from flavor innovation alone — it will come from training your team to care more and communicate better.
I stopped in with the wife to give this a place a try, it just isn’t my cup of tea. I don’t mind coming back to find something I like being that we came for the first time we decided to go with something popular which was the jasmine iced tea. The place was in order and we only waited about 5-7 mins for our drink. Lots of people coming in and out which is a good sign.
Bad management!! I ordered only two tea but have to wait more than half hour. Because they keep doing delivery orders first. I love their tea but if you do like this I won’t order it again
The wait time is too long. Only one cup of tea you have to wait for 30 minutes because they kept doing online delivery orders first. The worst management and don’t care the customers in house orders. I won’t recommend it! Even the tea is good
Very disappointing experience today. The app showed my order would be ready at 5:47, but I waited a long time with no updates. I asked the staff simply to get an estimate of how much longer the wait would be, and was told it could be over an hour more. The interaction felt dismissive and not very welcoming. I understand that places can get busy, but the service attitude and communication could definitely be better.
This is review for the drink only. Ordered their new bubble tea drink. Huge disappointment especially with a 25 minute wait time. I don’t taste the black tea since the hazelnut powder over powers the drink itself. The boba texture is not good. It’s rough rather than smooth. Not worth it. Just skip the topping as a whole.
I was walking around neighborhood and saw this place. I ordered my tea at 2:57pm, and received it at 3:30pm. Are you guys kidding me 🤬. If you don’t have things to do and have whole day free you can come and try it. But for me waiting for 33 minutes for the tea that has nothing special than other tea houses… Not worth it. Go to other places, unless you want to regret for your choice.
Never again. I ordered a premium jasmine ice tea and the option is less ice or regular ice. The amount of ice for less ice is past the Molly Tea text. These drinks are already small as it is. The drink is so watered down you can see where the tea is and everything above is just water or ice… I’m getting charged almost 5 dollars for less than 8 fluid ounces of tea. I ordered 4 drinks and was supplied 2 straws and 2 stirs why the heck do I need stirs for tea? Meanwhile you have 7 people out front frantically making drinks and 4 monkeys in the back not doing anything, but playing with each other. Bigger shops operate with less. I have already had a bad experience ordering from the same location. You guys are a joke
Used to Be Great, Now Just Watered-Down and Disappointing We’ve been loyal customers of Molly Tea for a long time, even going as far as loading money onto our account to make ordering easier and to support the business. But after today’s visit, we seriously regret putting that much money into it. We ordered the Premium Jasmine tea, and it tasted like iced water with sugar—no jasmine flavor, no milk flavor, just a weak, watered-down drink. Sadly, this isn’t the first time. The quality has been steadily declining with each visit, and it feels like no one’s monitoring what goes out the door anymore. When Molly Tea first opened, the drinks were amazing—strong tea flavor, rich milk, balanced sweetness. Now, everything just tastes diluted and thrown together. It’s really disappointing to see such a sharp drop in quality, especially from a place we used to love. We understand that it gets busy, but being busy shouldn’t mean sacrificing the core product. There needs to be better quality control—because right now, it feels like they’re just coasting on their early reputation. If things don’t improve, we’ll unfortunately have to stop coming altogether.
