All the pizzas, it seems even the specialty pizzas, are $3, so I consider this place both DELICIOUS and a BARGAIN!
Brooklyn-born and raised, this is the best slice on the block. Look out for their window service for Italian ices in the summer.
Had no idea places like these were still around ! Such a busy block/intersection too and all the guys working here are so nice and cool.
Love their pizza! Have been enjoying their pizza for over a decade.
Got extra cheese pizza and we all loved it so delicious.
Pizza is good, taste like a regular pizza spot. I ordered 2 slices (1 cheese & 1 pepperoni) and I put Parmesan on it. Sorry for the picture quality, the flash was on. & I got an order of garlic knots. They’re not my favorite. I only eat garlic knots from Dominos.. so I am not a fan of these. But they’re decent, they aren’t bad. Just not for me. Prices: 1 cheese slice is $3, 1 pepperoni slice is $3.50, 6 garlic knots are $2
I’ve been coming to this pizzeria since I was six years old! I really miss the guys that worked there when I was growing up regardless this pizzeria is a staple of Bayridge. Right up there with the pizza wagon. An old favorite.
Unforgettable!! Legendary cheese slice! The BEST cheese slice I've had since moving to NYC. Perfect in every way. Perfect Brooklyn taste. Taste amazing, and even more amazing is you can still taste it in your mouth and in your mind long after it's gone! Unfortunately, the Sicilian and Margarita slices weren't anything special and kind of bland. Still the cheese slice makes up for that. This place should be on any list of pizza tour stops. Highly recommend. Price of the cheese slice at the time of writing was $3 (average is $2.75), so it's marginally above average, but worth it by far.
Not the fanciest place but will get you pizza fix. Got a couple of slices and a Sicilian. The slice was good, the cheese was greasy and not salty good amount of sauce. Just wish it was left in the oven for another 30 seconds for a better crunch. The Sicilian was not as thick as normal places but the flavor of the cheese and sauce was on point. This place doesn’t have a lot of selections, either that or they closing shop soon and didn’t want to make anything else.
The pizza is good. This place has been in business for a long time. Every time I come back to bay ridge I always eat here. Only bad thing is they took away the soda machines so they only sell canned soda.
This place used to be the best. Over time, though, it feels like they lost their love for the game and because they’ll always have customers. If you run in and grab one or two fresh slices and eat them immediately, I’d say it’s still edible. But once the pizza cools down, it’s a completely different story I can’t even look at it the same way. The quality just isn’t there anymore. I grew up eating this pizza almost every day. Now the prices have tripled, the quality has dropped, and the attention to detail isn’t what it used to be. The staff is still very nice some of them have been there for years but the precision and care just don’t feel the same. It’s disappointing to say, but I actually go out of my way now to avoid eating their pizza, which is a shame considering how much it meant growing up.
Relaxed. In and out. Quick bite "
The pizza is okay it's not great. What this place has going for it is it is located across the street from the R subway. I had 2 slices one pepperoni and a sicilian and one chicken roll. Nothing tasted noteworthy. It's decent pizza until you find the next spot you want to eat. Also the pizza rolls are not worth the $8 price. It's just a slice of pizza rolled up with the same number of toppings inside.
*** RECEIVED A GENERIC RESPONSE, NO REFUND, AND NO ATTEMPT TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION *** Sad I had to delete my original 5-star review of this restaurant and start over again, but I called and tried to resolve this with them and they blew me off. I've been ordering consistently from this place since I moved back into the neighborhood. When I got my pizza yesterday, I noticed the box was lighter than it usually is, but it was taped shut. When I got home, I was appalled to see that the usual 12 cut pizza I pay for was reduced to 8 tiny slices. My instinct was "well, let's never order from this place again," but I really try to support the small businesses around me. I called and expressed disappointment that the size went down to eight slices. The guy who answered the phone said, "well, we have a small and a large and we might have given you a small by accident." I replied, "well, I've paid the same price consistently, so if the error was on your part, how can we go about fixing this?" His response was, "you want to order or not?" After some time of trying to get through to him that I'd really love to reach a resolution here, I just thanked him for his time and hung up. It's sad we couldn't get to the bottom of what happened here, and why I received two different sizes on the same duplicate order. I've simply made the decision not to go back. The pizza is good, but it's not worth the confusion.
I have been going to original since a while i loved the spot but now the music is too loud and pizza man looks like drunk especially after 7 pm
Don't give your Credit Card they like to Overcharge if you are not aware or on top of your finances it will go unnoticed. I called to speak to the owner or manager in a kindly manner to fix the (I thought misunderstanding) and all I got in returned was a nasty attitude from a so called Fransico nothing got fixed out of the conversation but I did make myself cleared that they could keep up the good job of stealing from costumers as long as it goes unnoticed and hung up. But of course to add to their amazing costumer review on Google I made sure it goes accordingly with a complaint to BBB and 311 call to Restaurant Complaint just to make it professional something they evidently don't have nor heard of.
I came in for a slice They smell like beer I just walked out
I ordered pizza and when it arrived, I opened the box to a smell I can only describe as a mix of throw-up and burnt oil. Despite the smell, I gave it a try because, really, how do you mess up pizza? Turns out, they found a way because the dough was completely raw. also I’ve never seen this before but the little white stuff on the sauce I think was also a part of the reason why the pizza smelled like throw up. if I were to guess I think they probably knew about the smell and tried to cover it up with seasonings. the bread is definitely old, the smell was definitely some kind of mold or rot since I have smelled old dough once it has been cooked before. I called the restaurant to explain, but the person I spoke to didn’t seem to understand what “raw” meant. He daid we should’ve specified “crispy” when ordering. It’s not about crispiness, pizza dough should at least be cooked! Mind you, i’ve ordered here before and never had to ask them to cook it until it’s not raw. When I asked for a refund or a solution, he told me, “What do you want me to do?” I was shocked by his attitude especially since it’s a health hazard. A simple refund or replacement would’ve been reasonable, but I got no help. This was a disappointing experience since I won’t be ordering from here again and i advise you before wasting your money on raw gross pizza.
Called 2x and got hung up on before I even said hello. They answered the third time. Ended up ordering from Pizza Wagon. I actually think they have the best slice in Bay Ridge. But they lost my business tonight to Pizza Wagon. To the owner: hire responsible people that aren’t going to lose you business
