A lovely find in Brooklyn! Prem Thai has that cozy, authentic vibe the moment you walk in. We ordered the Minced Chicken Basil (so flavorful!), Seafood Pineapple Fried Rice (fresh and fragrant), and the crispy Fried Shrimp Cocktail — all were delicious and well-portioned. The Thai Iced Tea was perfectly balanced, not too sweet. The space is warm and inviting, with a cute photo-worthy nook in the back. Service was attentive and kind. Great spot for a casual yet satisfying Thai meal. Will definitely return!
For drinks, I ordered a Virgin Piña Colada — perfect for someone like me who doesn’t drink alcohol but still wants something pretty in hand. It wasn’t overly sweet; the texture was smooth and slushy, topped with shredded coconut. Very tropical, and it paired beautifully with heavier, more flavorful dishes. The menu was incredibly rich: 🍗 Southern Thai Fried Chicken The crust was fried to an ultra-crispy perfection, while the meat inside stayed juicy and tender. 🥓 Grilled Pork Jowl The pork jowl had a perfect balance of fat and lean meat, with a pleasantly bouncy bite. The green sauce on the side was refreshing — it cut through the richness while adding another layer of flavor. 🍛 Massaman Curry with Grilled Salmon This curry leaned toward the rich and indulgent side, with a subtle sweetness and nutty aroma that gave it beautiful depth. Paired with white rice, it felt incredibly comforting. The salmon was cooked just right — moist and delicate. 🦐 Grilled River Prawn This dish was definitely the visual star. The prawns were impressively large, with firm, naturally sweet flesh and a hint of smoky char. The vegetables and herbs alongside kept the dish vibrant and balanced. 🍰 Mango Coco Soufflé The dessert took a lighter, fresher direction. The mango flavor tasted natural and fragrant, while the coconut was gentle and didn’t overpower. The texture was airy and soft, and the biscuit base underneath was wonderfully crisp with a rich buttery aroma.
Absolutely loved Prem Thai! The food is bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and super fresh ingredients. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff is warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. A must-visit spot for amazing Thai food in NYC!
Must-try Thai spot in Brooklyn! The Duck & Crispy Pork Belly Khao Soy is easily the best I’ve had in NYC—the broth is incredibly rich and the pork belly is perfectly crunchy. 🍜 Don't sleep on the Corn Salad either; it’s so refreshing and the perfect spicy-sweet balance. 🌽 10/10 worth the trip!
Prem Thai was a great surprise! The drunken noodles were excellent — perfectly balanced in spice and sweetness. One of the best Northern Thai spots I’ve had in New York. Cocktails and desserts were fantastic too. I’ll definitely be back!
I had a very nice experience here! Beautiful lit atmosphere and ambience. Staff were kind and attentive. -free Thai ice tea with Google review 👌 -They have seasonal specials👌 -great martinis 👌 👌 fresh food and drinks Some tables were chipped on the side(safety concerns here) but other than that it was a great experience Definitely recommend!
Prem Thai Restaurant is always a pleasant restaurant to enjoy a good meal. The food is always fresh, flavorful and delicious. The portions are good. Service is excellent. The atmosphere is comfort cozy…great ambience.
I recently had dinner here and absolutely loved it! The food was delicious — full of rich flavors and perfectly spiced. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with beautiful decor that made the experience even better. The staff were friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
From the moment you walk in, the experience feels refined yet welcoming. The space is elegant without being stiff, and the service is genuinely attentive—thoughtful, well-timed, and never intrusive. Drinks are a standout: beautifully crafted, balanced, and clearly made with care, whether classic or creative. The food matches the same high standard—flavorful, well-executed, and beautifully presented, with every dish feeling intentional. It’s the kind of place where details matter, and it shows. A polished dining experience that feels special from start to finish.
Tried Prem Thai in Brooklyn and was genuinely impressed by every dish. The Duck Roti Wraps were crispy and flavorful, and the Pork Buns (their “piggy pork buns”) were incredibly soft and savory. The Prem Signature Tom Yum Seafood Hotpot had a beautifully balanced broth—creamy, aromatic, and perfectly spicy. The Pork Belly Prik Khing came with crispy pork, fresh herbs, and just the right kick, definitely a must-order. We ended with the Mango Mousse Cake, which was light, fruity, and the perfect finish. For drinks, the Piña Colada was tropical and refreshing, while the Sex on the 5th had a smoky-sweet twist that really stood out. Overall, great flavors, great atmosphere—would absolutely come back!
A true hidden gem Thai spot in BK — I didn’t expect much at first, but the food was amazing. The duck leg rice is a must-try: Thai-style roasted duck, cut thick, perfectly juicy, and not overcooked at all. The flavors are very authentic and really reminded me of street food in Thailand, and several dishes were so addictive, especially the Thai hot pot, which was incredibly good with rice. Definitely coming back again.
Such a great Thai spot in Brooklyn. We came for the Tom Yum Seafood Hotpot and it was incredibly comforting, perfectly sour and spicy with very fresh seafood. The Hot Sea seafood stir-fry was also a standout, super fragrant with great wok flavor and amazing with rice. We also tried Fried Shrimp Cocktail and Thai Pork Belly. They were all crispy and well-seasoned. Cozy, beautiful space and very satisfying food overall. Would definitely come back, especially in the winter.
Visiting Prem Thai for the first time and I absolutely loved the vibe. It’s a perfect dating spot with dim lighting, candles, and a cozy atmosphere (I was here for dinner). The food was great and the overall experience really impressed me. I really like that this place feels intimate, the music is soft, and it just puts you in a relaxed mood. Will definitely return!
This Thai spot was so cute perfect for date night or just a chill dinner with a vibe. The drinks were solid I tried the pomegranate martini and the peachy berry, both super fresh and not too sweet. I started with the duck roti wraps and chicken satay both were full of flavor, and the peanut sauce hit every time. The trio seafood pineapple fried rice was packed with shrimp and calamari definitely my favorite of the night. The duck over rice was tender, juicy, and came out fast, which I love. And for dessert... the mango cocoa soufflé? I didn't think I'd finish it, but it was actually so good I cleaned the plate. 10/10 on customer service, cozy lighting, and music that wasn't too loud overall just a great spot for food and vibes.
I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident when I was trying to look for authentic Thai food. What caught my eyes was their menu and promotion (happy hours/lunch specials and $5 Mimosa with lunch special). So I had to come to try their menu and check out this place. Upon entering there is a bar area and then a big open & clean space for seating. If the weather was nice then there is also a backyard garden for outdoor seating. I usually get the papaya salad and pad thai noodles whenever I go for Thai food but this time, I wanted to try something different. I ordered the fried fish pad cha, duck roti wrap and fresh summer rolls from their regular menu. The fish was nicely done- well fried and crispy with sauce that was amazingly delicious. The duck roti wrap was presented so pretty and with each bite you can taste the duck. With the two previous dishes so rich and bold in flavors, the fresh vegetable summer rolls balanced the flavors. The staffs were very friendly. I was so full in the end that I still have leftovers to bring home. I will definitely come back and try the other items on their menu.
Ambiance of the restaurant is great; suitable group gatherings and date nights! The duck roti was super delicious; duck was super crispy and flavorful. Chicken satay was good with the peanut sauce. The best entree was the trio seafood pineapple fried rice!!! Super flavorful and umami especially with the side of fried shrimp and calamari! Street crab fried noodles were our second favorite! Love the thin wonton like noodles! Drunken noodles had a really nice kick for those that love spicy food! All the drinks were good: thai tea, virgin pina and mango mojito!!
Really enjoyed our lunch at Prem. The place has a calm, elegant vibe. We loved the Thai Pork Belly and the Fried Shrimp Cocktail, so good! The Branzino in the Garden and the Prem Signature Tom Yum were full of flavor. Our dessert choice was the Mango Coconut Soufflé, and the Piña Colada and Mango Mojito cocktails were great. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for tasty, refined Thai food.
Prem Thai absolutely exceeded our expectations! From the moment the drinks arrived, we knew we were in for something special. We tried both the pomegranate martini and the lychee martini, and they were incredible — bright, balanced, and refreshingly smooth. Easily some of the best cocktails we’ve had at a Thai restaurant. For food, the Duck Noodle Soup was the standout star. The duck was unbelievably crispy yet tender, with rich, comforting broth that tied everything together perfectly. It’s the kind of dish you think about long after the meal is over. We also had the Trio Seafood Pineapple Fried Rice, which came packed with flavor and loaded with fresh seafood. The sweetness of the pineapple paired so well with the savory rice — it felt like the perfect balance of comfort and brightness in one dish. And the Duck Roti Wraps were such a fun surprise: flaky roti, flavorful duck, and a dipping sauce that brought everything to life. A must-order appetizer.
Prem Thai in Brooklyn turned out to be such a great post-work dinner spot — affordable for NYC, generous portions, and genuinely delicious Thai comfort food. We started with the Thai Duck Salad, which came with crispy boneless duck and a refreshing mix of greens, pineapple, cashew, and a bright herb dressing. The Fried Shrimp Cocktail was another hit, perfectly crispy with a spicy mayo that made it super addictive. For mains, the Tom Yum Seafood Hot Pot was outstanding — packed with shrimp, squid, fish, mussels, mushrooms, tomatoes, and herbs, with a rich, aromatic, spicy-sour broth that warmed us right up. The Beef Pad Thai was a huge portion and full of flavor, with tender beef, great wok-hei, and just the right sweetness and spice. Drinks were also great: the Honey Yuzu cocktail was refreshing and citrusy, and the Grapefruit Paloma had that perfect tart, slightly boozy balance. We finished with matcha ice cream that was creamy and not overly sweet — such a nice ending.
Went for the first time and the food and drinks were amazing! Friendly staff and love how they have happy hour everyday. My husband and I got calamari, fried shrimp cocktail and chicken fried rice to share. He got a Sapporo beer and I got a lychee martini which tasted 10/10! The portions were just right and tasted fresh. We’ll definitely be back
I had the seafood karee, crab fried rice, and their signature tom yum soup—everything was full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. Loved thre Fried Calamari for appetizer which was crispy and addicting. The cozy atmosphere with chandeliers and a dark oak-like backdrop makes it a great spot for a date or just to relax. Service was excellent, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
